The sun hung lazily in the sky, casting a warm, golden hue over Chaldea. It was a rare day off, and the Servants were eager to make the most of it. Master-kun had planned a relaxing summer afternoon with his Servants, but as usual, things at Chaldea rarely went according to plan.
MHXX, the diligent Foreigner, had been looking forward to spending some quality time with Master-kun. She had prepared a list of summer activities, from stargazing to fishing, and even a small picnic by the lake. However, her plans were soon to be disrupted by the usual suspects—Okita J Souji and Avenger Oda Nobbu.
"Master-kun! Master-kun!" MHXX called out, waving her arm energetically as she approached.
Ritsuka turned, smiling warmly at the sight of his loyal Servant. "MHXX! What's up?"
"I've prepared everything for our summer bonding time," she said, presenting a neatly written itinerary. "We'll start with a relaxing walk, followed by some fishing, and then a picnic!"
The Last Master of Chaldea chuckled, appreciating her meticulousness. "Sounds perfect. Lead the way."
As they made their way to the lake, the peaceful atmosphere was suddenly shattered by a loud explosion.
"Not again..." Ritsuka sighed.
From behind a nearby hill, Okita J Souji and Avenger Oda Nobbu emerged, covered in soot but grinning from ear to ear.
"Hey, Master!" Nobbu called out, waving a smoking cannon. "You should've seen the look on Okita's face when the cannon went off!"
"You aimed it wrong on purpose, Nobbu!" Okita protested, brushing ash from her hair. "We were supposed to hit the target, not the tree next to it!"
Nobbu shrugged, unrepentant. "A little collateral damage never hurt anyone."
MHXX stepped forward, her hands on her hips. "You two! Can't you see we're trying to have a peaceful day?"
Okita and Nobbu exchanged a glance, then grinned mischievously.
"A peaceful day? In Chaldea?" Nobbu laughed. "Good luck with that!"
"Maybe you should join us," Okita suggested. "We were just about to test the new fireworks Nobbu made."
Ritsuka raised an eyebrow. "Fireworks?"
Nobbu nodded eagerly. "Yep! Perfect for a summer day. C'mon, it'll be fun!"
MHXX sighed, realizing her carefully planned day was about to be derailed. "Fine, but only if you promise to be careful."
"We promise!" Okita and Nobbu chorused, fingers crossed behind their backs.
At the makeshift launch site, Nobbu and Okita set up the fireworks, while MHXX and Ritsuka watched from a safe distance.
"Are you sure this is safe?" MHXX asked, eyeing the elaborate setup.
"Of course!" Nobbu said, though her mischievous grin suggested otherwise. "Ready, Okita?"
Okita gave a thumbs-up. "Ready!"
With a dramatic flourish, Nobbu lit the fuse. The group watched as sparks flew, the fuse burning rapidly.
"Here it comes!" Nobbu shouted, ducking behind a rock.
The first fireworks shot into the sky, exploding in a brilliant display of colors. The second one, however, veered off course, heading straight for the lake.
"Uh-oh," Ritsuka muttered.
The fireworks hit the water, causing a massive splash that drenched everyone. MHXX, Master-kun, Okita, and Nobbu stood soaked but laughing.
"Well, that was... refreshing," MHXX said, trying to shake off the water.
"See? Told you it would be fun," Nobbu said, still grinning.
Okita nodded, wringing out her hair. "Let's try the next one!"
Despite the chaos, the day turned out to be enjoyable. Ritsuka, MHXX, Okita, and Nobbu spent the afternoon launching fireworks, fishing, and even having a spontaneous water fight.
As the sun began to set, they gathered around the picnic blanket, enjoying the snacks MHXX had prepared.
"Not exactly the day I had planned," MHXX admitted, "but it was fun."
Ritsuka smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Sometimes the best days are the ones you don't plan."
Nobbu raised a glass. "To summer shenanigans!"
"To summer shenanigans!" they all echoed, clinking their glasses together.
