What is up folks! I present to you my sad but hopefully somewhat decent attempt at a Call Of Duty Fanfic! This story takes place a few months after the events of the MWII 2022 Campaign, so spoiler alert for those who have yet to complete it for whatever reason. The events of the MWII 2022 Campaign will also be changed up quite a bit, as I feel that the writing in the game was lacking in some areas. (Not that I could've done any better) I won't be changing TOO much of the overall events. But said changes to the campaign will be touched on at a later point. If you saw from the summary, the MW2019 multiplayer operator Mara will be involved in this story, acting as one of the main characters within it. Her along with my OC Sabre, will be the main focused characters in this tale. But rest assured, the boys at TF141 will have the spotlight on them at times as well. Afterall, I wouldn't dare write a Modern Warfare Fanfic without them. Now for the record, I don't have extensive knowledge of how modern day militaries operate, so forgive me if something within the story isn't exactly realistic or accurate. But then again, this is Call Of Duty, realism isn't exactly what the franchise is known for. However I will do some research when needed for the sake of improving the story, hopefully it is enough. As for updates and chapters on this story, it'll all boil down on how I'm feeling and what I've got going on in my life. For those of you who are old enough to relate, life can be very stressful, and very time consuming. But I'll try my best to post chapters at a decent pace. Just a reminder, this is a story based on Call Of Duty, and both the games and this story have an "M" rating. I hope I don't regret this...
For those of you wondering why Mara had way less information on her dossier compared to Sabre, there's a few reasons. The character Mara herself doesn't have alot of information available on her at all. Her real name can't even be found on the official COD wiki. (Yes I'm aware her IRL model is Alex Zedra, but I'm referring to the character in the universe herself.) So I had to improvise a bit. I did come up with a name and some backstory that I felt would suit her, but that won't be revealed until later on in the story. I also took some inspiration from her COD Mobile profile to provide more information on her that I felt would fit nicely in the story. As for Sabre, he's my OC, so naturally I felt that providing as much information on him as possible would be needed in order to give you all an idea of what to expect from him as a character. And also to see just how he fits into the Modern Warfare reboot universe. I also believe that Mara would have some classified information as well, hence the relatives and shorter Service History / Training sections of her dossier.
