Ben 10 Ultimate Hero EP 40: Ulti-Tricked Part 4

Intro:
A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashed, making a huge green flash.
The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Ben looks up close at it.
He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.
The background turns green as Ben morphs into Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his lower ones with a smirk.
A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.
"Ben 10!"
2: Heatblast ignites 2 fireballs in his hands.
"Ben 10!"
3: XLR8 zooms into the right.
4: Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a blade.
"Ben 10!"
5: Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.
"Ben 10!"
"Ben 10!"
6: Upgrade stretches out of his puddle form.
7: Grey Matter hops off the 7 and lands into a crouch, giving a thumbs up and a smile.
"Ben 10!"
8: Water Hazard slides in on his water blasts and raises his fists.
"Ben 10!"
9: Wildvine extends his legs and stretches out his right fingers while holding seeds in his left one, chucking them offscreen.
10: Big Chill briefly phases through the number and floats before zooming near the camera.
"Ben 10!"
Big Chill's head turns back into Ben's as it rotates.
The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Gwen by his side.
Ben gave a low-five to his grandfather as Gwen crossed her arms and shook her head playfully with a smile.
The 2 then ran off-screen, making Ben run towards the camera with a determined look.
He then froze as his aliens appeared in heroic poses on each of the kid's sides, 5 on each side just as the title appears on a black background with green rays appearing from the title.
Back at the campsite, Max and Phil were working on the Plumber computers in the Rust Bucket as Gwen made lunch outside. Ben, on the other hand, was upset as he kept cycling through his aliens without control. "Uggg… So hungry!" Heatblast groans out before changing to Wildvine. "Here, Ben. It's not much for lunch. But since Grandpa is busy, eat up!" Gwen sat down a plate with a sandwich and a glass of water as Wildvine grinned out. "Cool! I'm starving!" Only for the plant to change into Grey Matter, making him drop into a glass of water. Just as he swam to the top, he morphs into Cannonbolt, squashing the table underneath. "Crushed it!" FLASH "And torched it..." Heatblast was sprayed with foam as Gwen put out the fire around.
Just then, Max calls out to his grandkids. "How are you kids holding up?" "Fine, Grandpa!" Gwen responds, but XLR8 gets upset as he hisses out. "I wish I never found this stupid Ultimatrix in the first place!" Ben then rants as he switches from Four Arms to Upgrade and lastly, Big Chill. FLASH "I can't eat!" FLASH "I can't sleep!" FLASH "I can't even be me anymore!" Big Chill cries in dismay as he curls up in sadness. Gwen gains a sympathetic look and pats him "It's okay, Ben. We'll figure out this problem, somehow." FLASH
"Good news!" Both kids look to see Phil approaching with his tablet. "We managed to analyze the data from before and figured out the problem! It seems that the source of the Ultimatrix's malfunction is, in fact, Vilgax himself!" "And… That's good news, how?" Heatblast asks Phil as he is following and the man responds. "Cause the answer is so simple! All you need to do is to defeat Vilgax. And the watch will be fixed!" Phil answers, but the alien hero is not happy with the answer. FLASH
Four Arms got up and glared down at the man. "How am I supposed to beat him when he kicked my butt the first time, got rid of my best alien and my transformations keep—" FLASH "My Transformations are—" He keeps shifting between the strongest and magma alien as he kept getting frustrated. "Transformations—" FLASH "Transformations—" FLASH "Transfor-" FLASH "Trans-" FLASH "AAAAHHHHH!" Four Arms smashes the ground in anger and sulks off, turning into Grey Matter as he frowns with crossed arms.
"We can fix him, right, Grandpa?" "Let's focus on finding Vilgax, for now! Right now, I think it's best to give Ben some space to cool off." Max answers Gwen as Phil perks up. "Speaking of Squid Face, the dish just picked him up!" The man shows the alien's location on the tablet as the 4 got into the Rust Bucket and took off, tracking the signal.
At Mount Megalodon, Vilgax's ship was hovering near it as a laser cuts into part of the mountain, all while the Rust Bucket races onto the scene as Water Hazard glances at the alien ship. "What?! Mount Megalodon!? But I just fixed that!" FLASH "Ben, it's best if you wait in the back, regarding your situation." Max said as Heatblast sulked and walked back, sitting on the ground as he pulled his knees to his chest. "What could he possibly want from here? Other than a beat-down from Ben, right!?" Gwen's expression changes to concern as her cousin just sulks and sighs, not even making a quip. "Ben?" "Just stop, Gwen."
"Well… He's not here to admire the view! It looks like he's trying to steal the lava from the volcano." Max comments while Phil adds to his old friend. "If he's trying to break orbit, he needs to replenish a lot of power for his ship! And there's tons of it in the magma energy in the volcano, meaning it will give us a chance to analyze the data and undo whatever he did to the Ultimatrix before he leaves the planet." Heatblast taps the watch symbol in concern. "But what if we don't do it?"
RUMBLE All questions and thoughts were interrupted as the laser cuts open a big crack, letting the war ship lowers down so 2 tubes can suck the lava up. Unfortunately, the Rust Bucket was heading towards the lava while dodging magma as well. Phil quickly cries out. "Max! Turn around! The volcano's destabilizing!" Max exclaims as he steers the Rust Bucket. "I can't! The brakes won't work!" Heatblast got a look of determination as if his hero spark had recovered. "Maybe I can!"
He climbs up to the roof and fires a duel stream of flames, slowing the RV down. "Come on!" Just as the Rust Bucket came to a stop, he accidentally morphed into Cannonbolt and stumbled over. "BEN!" Gwen and the others cried out in dismay as he kept switching aliens. "OH, MAN! OH, MAN! OH, MAN! OH, MAN! OH, MAN!" Just as he morphed back to Heatblast, he quickly fired, using his flames as propulsion to fly onto the top of Vilgax's ship and land safely.
"Thank you for bringing me the Ultimatrix." Heatblast looks to his left to see Vilgax turning around, glaring his red eyes at the badge on his chest as the alien hero narrows back. "You survive our last encounter thanks to it. Most impressive." Heatblast exclaims. "Hey! My eyes are up here, Vilgax!" "Are you ready for round 2, child?" The villain taunts as Heatblast responds. "Yeah, I am! Get ready to feel the burn!" But just as he charged, he switched to Cannonbolt, making the round alien curl up and spin at Vilgax, only to switch to Water Hazard. "Oh, great!"
But he quickly recovers and blasts himself, feet forward. "Aqua kick!" Except for Vilgax mealy grabbed him and slammed him down, knocking him away as he snarled. "Pitiful!" But Water Hazard quickly flies back. "Not so fast, Vilgax! Here's water stars in your—" FLASH "Arms!?" Four Arms said in shock. He quickly blocks a laser and raises his arms to stop a spinning axe kick from the warlord, pushing him back as he charges for a punch. FLASH CLANG "OW! OW! OW! OW! OW!" Grey Matter cries out as he holds his arm in pain. He then dodges and runs from the crimson eye beams as he speaks. "This is hopeless! How am I supposed to fight if I just keep changing at the worst times?!"
He screeches to a stop as he speaks. "Come on, Ben! Think! How can I fight Vilgax like this?!" He then tries to think of something when an idea hits him. "Maybe I need to stop fighting these unpredictable transformations and try to work with them!" He then rushes at Vilgax, making the warlord fire another laser that sends Grey Matter flying. He quickly hops around some debris and flies above the Villain. "Okay, Ultimatrix! Give me someone that I can work with!" FLASH
"Big Chill?" He quickly breathes a gust of ice, coating the bad guy's head, much to his annoyance. He broke free and tried to attack Big Chill, but he merely dodged and phased through his attacks. He then switches to XLR8 and circles around Vilgax, making a cyclone that barely lifts the alien. As the speedster came to a stop, he switched to Four Arms. "Four Arms! Hungry? Have a knuckle sandwich, or 4!" As the alien fell, he threw a quadruple uppercut that sent Vilgax tumbling to a stop, some ways ahead.
The alien warlord roars as he charges while Diamondhead fires some crystals, making Vilgax block as he quickly fires some shards before him, erupting into pillars that knock him back. "These crystals are nothing to me!" Vilgax frowns as he smashes through the crystals. Ben then switched to Heatblast, flung a few explosive fireballs, and used his dragon's breath. They didn't damage him, but they did blind him with smoke. "It's not about the crystals, Vilgax! it's all about the surprise!" Cannonbolt bellows as he smashes right into Vilgax and knocks him back as the alien is launched upward.
He then changes into Water Hazard as he unleashes a torrent of water from overhead that blinds Vilgax, making him land behind him, and unleashes a barrage of water stars and knives that manage to somewhat hurt him. Vilgax shook it off and activated his boosters, changing at Water Hazard and throwing punches as the water alien dodged each one and leaped on his arms, jumping overhead. FLASH "It's hard to fight when you have no idea what's coming, do ya, Squidbeard?" Wildvine taunts as he lands and stretches out his legs.
He leaps over a punch and entangles the arms in his legs, using the momentum to slam him over the head. He then deploys a bunch of seed bombs to bombard the alien, engulfing him in smoke. He then knees and pants, exhausted from using some many aliens at once. "Well… That should do it." "Impressive." The plant alien's eye widened in shock as he glanced up, seeing Vilgax standing without a scratch as he deactivated his boosters. "WHAT?! Even after all that?!" "It appears that the Ultimatrix is more powerful than I originally thought. Giving a boy the chance to challenge me: Vilgax the Conqueror! I shall take it as it should belong to someone who knows it better and can truly wield it. Unlike a child who uses it as a toy."
"I don't think so!" Wildvine bellows as he makes a whip in his right arm and lashes it out, only for it to be caught as Vilgax backhanded him to the floor. Just then, a floating orb beeped, alerting the warlord as it displays a hologram. "The molten energy of your planet has finished refueling my ship. I can now resume conquering the galaxy." The tubes retract into the ships as the thrusters underneath roar to life, ready for take-off.
Meanwhile, Max is hooking up a vest that is strapped to him as he hooks a bungee cord to the RV's towing hook while strapping some Plumber weapons on himself. "Max, what are you doing?!" "I'm going after Ben!" "Are you crazy!?" "He's my Grandson, Phil! He needs me!" "You're going to jump onto a flying spaceship over a lava lake?! Please tell me this is not one of your crazy ideas from the old days?!" Phil questioned in disbelief at the crazy and impossible stunt. "OUT OF MY WAY!" Gwen cries as she charges past the adults, with a Plumber blaster and oven mutts, leaping down much to Max's shock. "GWEN!"
Wildvine tries to push up, but Vilgax's foot pins him down. "You are a fool to come here, child!" The Warlord snarls out with glaring eyes. "HEY! NO ONE CALLS MY COUSIN A FOOL BUT ME!" "GWEN!?" The plant exclaims as he looks up to see the girl blasting lasers in Vilgax's face, making him stumble back as the tween latches on and yanks at his tentacles, and keeps firing. "I'm not afraid of you!" She exclaims, but it makes the alien angered as he grabs her and bellow. "ENOUGH!" He throws Gwen, sending her flying away as Wildvine gasps out. "GWEN!"
He was lucky enough to change back to XLR8 as he quickly sped and grabbed Gwen, just as Vilgax fired his eye beams at the girl. He placed her down as he switched to Diamondhead, who quickly made a bunch of crystals appear and shielded them both. "Get out of here, Gwen! I'll hold him off as best as I can!" "No way! I'm your partner! We can take this guy!" Gwen grins out, only to be surprised as her cousin is doubting himself. "We can't! Vilgax isn't like Animo, Steam Smythe, Hex, Mike Morningstar, or Zombozo! He's way stronger, even stronger than Z'Gore! He may be too much for me!"
His hand starts shaking as he looks down. "If you got hurt because of me or if Grandpa and any of our new friends we made on the way were hurt, I'll never forgive myself. I can't beat him, Gwen! None of my aliens can..." But the girl softly smiles and steadies his hand. "Yes, you can! Believe, Ben. Because deep down, I always do. Just as you do it yourself." FLASH Four Arms sighs out. "Cousins forever…" He gave a sad smile as he grabbed hold of her. "Ben!? What are-" "I need you to take care of Grandpa for me!" He chucks her back to the RV, just as the beams break through the crystals and knocks the alien hero away.
"I got you!" Max exclaims as he grabs his granddaughter and pulls her up as she exclaims. "Grandpa, I'm worried! Ben's scared!" "Sometimes, fear is the best motivation." The elder responds as they all look up in worriment at the rising ship, all hoping Ben will make it back.
The alien hero sat up and rubbed his head as he noticed that he was on an elevator heading down to the ship. But he also notices the oven mitt in his hand. "Gwen." "Welcome to my control room!" Four Arms glances up in surprise at stopping in a giant circle room with Vilgax nearby. "Bearer of the Ultimatrix!" The alien roars as he charges for a punch, but the squid alien merely unleashes his tentacles on his left arm as his left gauntlet shortens into a thick ring and moves to his bicep, near his shoulders, and grabs him, lifting him to his struggle. "This fight is over." He then rotates the Ultimatrix symbol a bit and then taps it, making a flash of light, once again.
Ben looks down in shock at being human as he is held up by his left arm! "What!? I'm myself!? But what did you do?!" "Something that your incompetence can't do: Repair the Ultimatrix." He then switched his left arm to normal as he grabbed a device. "Brace yourself. The removal process is…" The device folds out a drill that is sparking red energy. "…Most unpleasant." Thinking quickly, Ben shoves the mitt to the drill, forcing it to shock Vilgax! "AAAHHHHH!" The boy was released as he dashed away from the Warlord. "Insolent child!" "If he fixed it, then I can choose my aliens again!" Ben grins out while Vilgax smirks at the declaration. "None of the 9 aliens you have possess the power to stop this ship!" "There's one you haven't seen yet! And you're about to meet number 10, right now!" FLASH
Upgrade's skin grows from the watch and spreads up to the kid's head as his features are replaced with the eye ring as he spins and throws his arms out, posing as the transformation is complete.
"And his name is Upgrade! Hope you enjoy the flight! Because I'm sending this ship into the trash!" He quickly slithers away as Vilgax's eyes widen in shock. "A Galvanic Mechamorph!? NOOOOOOO!" The giant alien gives chase as he blasts eye beams, but Upgrade's goo body merely dodges them as he reaches the main computer. "Time for a massive downgrade!" He merges with the device.
"We need to do something, Grandpa!" "We done all we can, Gwen. It's all up to Ben, now." Max comforts his granddaughter as Phil notices something with the warship. "And he might be doing it! LOOK!" They all glance up to see the thrusters shutting down as a few explosions rocked the ship, sending it crashing down into the lava, courtesy of Upgrade.
"NOOOOOOO! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY SHIP!?" Vilgax roars out as the place shakes. "Not sure! But you should have someone look at it." Having enough of the kid's smart remarks and his interference, Vilgax grabs and tears Upgrade out, holding him by his chest and dial as he glares while Upgrade tires using his laser eye to break free, but Vilgax didn't even flinch from the beams. "But you have doomed us both, child! You can't run and the Ultimatrix can't save you now! I will at least have the pleasure of taking you down with me!"
As Upgrade struggles, he keeps whacking his brain for an idea, glancing around when he looks at the symbol on his chest, giving him a seemingly impossible, crazy, but could-work idea. "HERE GOES SOMETHING!" Much to Vilgax's shock, Upgrade dove into the Ultimatrix itself! As if things can't get stranger, the symbol then starts glowing green. "WHAT ARE YOU?!" FLASH "AHHH!" Vilgax was knocked back, standing up while gritting his teeth as the light died down to reveal Ben!
But just then, the boy looked at the Ultimatrix, and to his amazement, it changed shape! It went from a hand guard to an actual gauntlet that covers most of his forearm, stopping before his elbow! It is colored green mostly, with some white tubes that appear in some patches on the sides and green around the dial that goes left across the couplings. There is a black line on the couplings that is connected to the dial, which is silver with 4 black line markings, replacing the buttons. The line is connected to a big square patch at the other end. Lastly, it has 2 silver and green tubes on the elbow end of the bottom coupling that go around the coupling and across to underneath the front end and is connected. It lastly has a green square button underneath the dial.
"WHOA! What's up with the Ultimatrix!?" "ENOUGH!" Vilgax roars out as he charges his eyes and Ben glares back. "Couldn't agree more!" He slaps on the dial, making the flash as he dodges the lasers. "I will destroy you! Then, I will destroy your entire world!" "You see! That's crossing the line, Squid head!" Vilgax turns to see XLR8 speeding towards him. "Trying to destroy me and ruining my day is one thing!" FLASH "But now you have the nerve to threaten my home and ruin everyone else's!" Four Arms bellows out as he knocks him across the face, before switching to Water Hazard to nail him with a stream, then Diamondhead to knock him back with shards.
Wildvine lands and stretches his arms, pulling Vilgax back. "I'm not done, Vilgax!" FLASH "Because you're washed up!" Water Hazard knocks him into a wall before getting frozen by Big Chill. "You want my Ultimatrix, Vilgax?" FLASH Grey Matter lands on his head and pushes his crown down, blinding him. "Sorry! You can't have it!" He leaps off as Vilgax tries to grab him. FLASH Heatblast made a huge fireball and tosses it, exploding and sending the Warlord across the room. Cannonbolt pinballs around and smashes into Vilgax multiple times, leaving the warlord vulnerable to being encased by Diamondhead's crystals! "THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! HOW CAN A CHILD DEFEAT VILGAX THE CONQUEROR!?"
"Yeah! It may be impossible! Except I had tons of practice with rabid changing, recently!" Diamondhead taunts as he leans against the sculpture. "My win and your loss, Squid head!" But just then, alarms erupt all over the place, making Diamondhead glance around in concern. "Oh, boy!"
"Oh, no! It's going down!" Max exclaims in horror as the ship sinks beneath the lava, destroying it for good the group realizes something: Ben didn't make it out. "…Ben?" Gwen whispers out as tears start forming. She couldn't take it and the waterworks were let loose, crying into her Grandfather as he comforted her, both upset at the loss of a young boy who was their family. "He's really… Really… Gone?!" "I know, Gwen… I know." Max whispered as he felt a hurt inside him.
How is he going to tell Carl and Sandra that their son sacrificed himself in a volcano? How are they going to explain it to all their new friends?! "He saved the entire Universe. But he made the ultimate sacrifice." Phil whispers out in moaning. "Uuh… Ultimate Sacrifice?" The group widens their eyes and whirls around to see a smirking Big Chill, turning back to Ben with crossed arms. "How can I make the 'Ultimate Sacrifice' if I'm standing right here? By the way, sorry about interrupting the moment, wasn't trying to act like a big jerk." "BEN!" They all cried out in joy and amazement as they all hugged the laughing kid.
Later in Portland. Ben was retelling what had happened on the ship while showing off his new Ultimatrix. "And then Heatblast blasted him across the room with a giant meteor! Then Cannonbolt smashed into him and bounced around like a pinball! Then Diamondhead trapped him in a crystal prison! And the most amazing thing was, I was switching aliens, except I was in complete control!" "That's sound so cool!" Gwen breathes out as the boy stands up. "Here! Let me show you. Let's go, Heatblast!"
Only… Ben was still human after a few minutes, trying again as he focused. "Come on, Heatblast!" He gave up as he tapped the watch in annoyance. "Is this thing still broken after all that!?" "Not really." Ben and Gwen look up to see Phil and Max approaches as the technician and former Plumber explain. "When you used Upgrade to boost the Ultimatrix, it allowed you access to a feature that allows you to switch aliens with no time limit! But it was only a temporary version! It only lasted long enough to allow you to defeat Vilgax and escape his ship. To all appearances, the Ultimatrix is functioning before Gax ever showed up."
Ben frowns at having to start over again after getting a cool feature as Gwen gives a small smile. "Looks like it's back to square one, cuz!" Phil comments as he hosts a backpack. "The Ultimatrix is truly a revolutionary piece of alien technology! And I have the feeling there's more to it. But… I'm off." The man starts leaving as Gwen calls out. "Wait! Where are you going?!" "I'm needed somewhere else. But I'm sure we'll meet up. Take care, Tennysons!"
As the group watches Phil leave, Gwen comments. "Man! He sure is a smart cookie!" "If you like him, why don't you marry him?!" Ben slyly grins out as Gwen playfully shoves with a giggle. "Gross!" "HAHA! Got ya!" Max then spoke out. "Hey, I'm sorry I had to keep my past a secret from you 2, for so long. But I realized now, that you 2 can be trusted with Plumber knowledge, considering you both took down not one, but 2 different intergalactic warlords. I'm proud of you kids. For what it's worth, you 2 would have made great Plumbers." "It's okay, Grandpa. We are your grandkids, after all!" Gwen shurgs with a smirk that she shares with Ben. "Yeah! What do you expect?' The boy questions out.
"Okay! Since we had a wild trip so far and given today, I think it's best if we cut it short and head home." Both kids look at each other in disbelief at Max's decision to end their trip early because of Vilgax's attack.
Only for the elder to give a sneaky look as he exclaims. "GOT YA!" They all laugh and race back to the RV. "Last one to the Rust Bucket is a wart on Vilgax's nose!" Max and Gwen rush inside as Ben looks out of the doorway and exclaims. "BEST SUMMER OF MY LIFE!" But as he raises his left arm in joy, the dial shows a new icon of a figure with 2 spikes on its shoulders. Ben may not know it yet, but he didn't just change the Ultimatrix, he activated something in the watch. Something that will change his understanding of the Ultimatrix.
