A/N: Okay so I was rewatching season 9, I couldn't not write this.

The kid couldn't have been more than twelve, he rolled his shoulders and stretched his back, his face straight in an attempt to hide the fact that he was in pain. The kid had growing pains and Cole wasn't surprised, much like Lloyd his body went from being a child's to a teenagers in a very short time.

"Come here, kid." Cole said beckoning with his hand.

Cole was sitting off to the side of the fire, just in the shadows. The preteen, Cole refused to call him a teen, obeyed, Cole watched Wu's steps, sure enough he was limping slightly, you wouldn't notice if you weren't looking for it though. The kid was tired and so was everyone they had walked for the entire day not stopping for anything. Not even food.

"Sit." Cole said. The boy sat without complaint. Cole rolled his eyes, "I can't get your muscles to relax if you sit that way."

The teen shifted so his back was to the master of earth, Cole placed his thumbs on either side of the boy's spine and slowly dragged them down it. Wu's muscle tensed underneath his fingers.

"You're almost as bad as Lloyd." Cole chided. "Breathe."

The other ninja ignored them and continued to eat the small meal of nuts and berries.

Cole ran his fingers up Wu's spine then dragged them down again. The kid sighed and tried to relax his muscles.

"Did you remember anything else?" Cole asked, rubbing the kids back.

Cole could tell that Wu was really tired of hearing that question.

Wu sighed, "No. Maybe tonight."

"Did you learn anything about the armor?" Cole hated asking they had given the kid enough grief already, but Cole had to hope that Wu had something, at this point he'd even take gut feeling.

Wu stiffened and Cole bit back a sigh, that was a clear answer so he asked, "Can you tell me about what you remembered?"

Wu was clearly surprised at the sudden change of subject but he complied and started to tell Cole about the fishing trip. Cole listened in silence, gently rubbing the kids back and shoulders, trying to get the kid's muscles to relax. By the time Wu had told Cole the memory, Cole had succeeded in getting the kid to be less tense.

Wu yawned.

Cole glanced at the fire which had burned mostly to embers.

"Why don't you hit the hay kid? Its been a long day."

Wu didn't protest only proving to Cole how tired he must have been.

Wu moved closer to the fire and laid down on his side immediately closing his eyes.

Cole moved over to the other side of the fire.

Kai looked at him, and Cole shook his head answering the silent question and Kai sighed. No one spoke, as the fire burned down to embers. Everyone crashed after the fire had burned out, even Zane fell asleep. Cole was the last to leave the fire. He went over to where Wu was, and noticed that his blanket had fallen off of his shoulders. He pulled it up and a small smile found its way to his face as Wu shifted pulling the blanket closer. Cole laid down a few feet away from Jay who was on the edge of the ring they had formed, and stared at the stars. He glanced one more time at Wu, who was snoring softly. Cole rolled over strangely contented, before he fell asleep.
