When I get the chance I'm planning on doing a new story cover for this story.

Forced To Go Home

Sam was at the comic book store talking to the Frog Brothers. He just came back with his mom from Max's place. Lucy wanted to drop off a bottle of wine as an apology for Max after running out on him, because of Sam. But his dog, Thorn, showed up growling and chased Lucy, fortunately she got away, but the dog ripped her skirt and Lucy skinned her knees landing on the sidewalk, but she was more scared than hurt. But that didn't stop Thorn from barking and growling at Lucy and Sam, even trying to break through the fence to get to them. Luckily mother and son ran as fast as they could to the car and drove out of there.

"Then the dog started chasing my mom like the Hounds of Hell in Vampires Everywhere," Sam said, finishing his story.

"We've been aware that some very serious vampire activity in this town for a long time," Edgar replies.

"Santa Carla has become a haven for the undead," Alan adds.

"As a matter of fact, we're almost certain that ghouls and werewolves occupy high positions at City Hall," Edgar comments, as he and Alan were moving what looked like carts and doors.

"Kill your brother," Alan said, "You'll feel better."

Sam frowns at this, "Look guys my brother's not a bloodsucker. Look it says here that if you kill the head vampire, all half vampires will return to normal. Guys if my brother's a vampire believe me, he's only half." But little does Sam know, as well as Michael, their little sister, Stacy, was also a half vampire herself.

"Does your brother know who the head vampire is?" Edgar asked.

"No I don't think so," Sam answers.

"Then you'll have to kill him," Edgar responds, "And if you don't..." Edgar and Alan look at each other before Edgar says, "Then we will."

"This all started when my mom went to work at Max's video store," Sam told them, "Max never comes in until after it's dark. The dog who chased my mom this morning was his. And listen to this," he said reading from the vampire comic, "Vampires require a daytime protector, a guardian, to watch over them as they sleep. Fierce dogs, the Hounds of Hell are often employed for this purpose."

"No shit!" Edgar replies.

"Yeah well what happens if my mom is dating the head vampire? You guys could nail him and save Santa Carla. Truth, justice, the American way triumphs, thanks to you two," Sam tells the Frog Brothers, making both brothers nod.

"We'll check out Max," Edgar promises.

When it got to evening time Stacy woke up with a smile. She looked over to where Laddie was and saw that he was up to. When he saw her he smiled and waved to her, Stacy blushed a little and waved back. Stacy didn't want to admit it but she was having a crush on Laddie but at the same time she was shy around him.

Stacy was about to get out of bed when someone playfully grabbed her from behind and tickled her. When she turned around she smiled when she saw it was Paul. Paul spun Stacy around and kissed both of her cheeks, making her laugh.

"Hey Paul," Stacy said, "I would say "Good morning" if it was morning."

Paul laughs, "Oh that's alright baby girl, we're more of night people anyway.

Stacy smiles, "Yeah, I guess that's true."

David then went over to them with a smirk. "Well you two seem to be having fun."

"Yeah. Why wouldn't we be?" Stacy asked.

"Well I'm afraid I got some bad news, kiddo," David said.

"What?" Stacy asks curious.

"Your mom said that she wants you home," David said. Even though it was really Max who said it, because he was going over to their house to have dinner with Lucy and her family.

Stacy's eyes widen and had a horrified expression. "No. No, I won't go back. I don't want to go back," Stacy cries out while shaking her head, "I don't want to see Michael. I hate him!"

"Stacy!" David begins raising his voice.

"No I won't listen!" Stacy shouts, "I'm never going back."

But before David could say anything more or do anything Paul stepped in. "David let me handle this."

David backs off and lets Paul talk with Stacy.

Paul kneels down and gently grabs Stacy's chin making her look at him. "Stacy, baby girl I know you don't want to go home and I understand you don't want to be around your brother and you have every reason to feel that way. But I'm sure you miss the rest of your family don't you?"

"Yes," Stacy quietly admits.

"Then how about this, if you go home and have dinner, I'll come by and see you later," Paul offers and adds teasingly, "Maybe I'll even bring Laddie too."

"Paul!" Stacy complains with her cheeks.

Paul chuckles, "Okay, okay I'll stop. But that aside, go home, have dinner and I promise I'll come see you later."

"You promise?" Stacy asks.

"Yes I promise baby," Paul reassures her.

Stacy sighs, "Okay Paul." She then wraps her arms around Paul and hugs him tightly, "Thank you Paul," Stacy whispers.

"You're welcome Stacy," Paul said putting his arms around her in an older brotherly way, "Now let's get you home. Okay?"

Stacy nods, "Okay."
