Inkaliber: Hey guys! Are you ready for the conclusion of this arc!? It's time for the fall of Lila Rossi to finally commence! The surprises, the thrills, the action! All of it coalesces into one violent explosion!
Jessie: It's been a long time in the making! Two weeks due to college starting back for the boss and his determination to ensure good quality content for you lovely viewers! Blood, sweat, pasta, and tears went into the making of this huge moment!
James: The story has undergone some restructurings since it was first designed. It even had to change things up in the midst of writing it. However, one thing remains the same…
Meowth: Dis is da end of Lila Rossi. Da author is ta blame!
Inkaliber: Okay guys. Let's not go too over the top with the… what are you wearing, Meowth?
Meowth: Oh! Ya noticed? It's a Chat Noir hoodie. Nettie made it fer me.
Inkaliber: Huh. Neat. Anyway, the kids and other guests are silently waiting in the background waiting to see the chapter. We have pizza, popcorn, and all the other works. We even have someone on the grill trying to barbecue enough hotdogs for everyone.
Alya: GET ON WITH IT!
Nino: Alya please calm down…
Alya: I WANT TO SEE THAT WITCH SUFFER!
Inkaliber: Alright! Alright. At least let me answer some reviews first.
Gundoru- Oh I intend to make her suffer. The karma will come back to bite her in the butt. I hope it'll be worth the popcorn and marshmallows, lol.
darknessslayer- I'm glad you liked it! Lila will definitely never be able to recover from this. Rose might actually get to break a leg here, lol. The Waynes will definitely have a word with Lila for her lies. Let's hope her swear doesn't make it into the vocab as she did ask for them to forgive her foul language. (To answer your sidenote, that was indeed the first reference, lol.)
The_Keeper_of_Worlds- Your offer is appreciated. You may do with her whatever you wish at the end of the story, but I would rather her live out the rest of the miserable existence I have planned for her so no death. Right now, THE INDISPUTABLE NATURAL KNOWLEDGE HAS COME TO PLAY.
P96822- It is indeed time for Lila to meet the end of her reign. You'll just have to see what happens here. Hopefully this chapter will count as good work, lol.
Demanicangel- Ah geez. Thanks for catching that.
Fregreg- Thanks! It was not Alix who did the recording. As for who made the remote, the username does indeed give off the identity.
DarthMalphas- I'm sorry to say that I don't know Cass very well. As I do not believe I can properly portray her character, she is not in the story. I'm sorry if this disappoints you, but I'd rather not do disservice to a beloved character like her.
lilyofthestars- I'm glad it could grab your attention, no matter how small it was. Lila will definitely be extremely hated for what she truly is. I cannot guarantee whether it'll affect her family or not. Well I needed Lila to have some kind of advantage that would require the guild to band together. Chloe will definitely be recording.
Speedykitten1634- Well you won't have to wait much longer. Both her and Gabriels' faces by the end of this chapter will be gob smacked and quite possibly broken in one of their faces. Danny will have a special way of cheering her up.
Njistar- I definitely hope that you will.
Mace- Glad you love it! It has been a while since then, hasn't it?
satoshy12- I'm glad that you find it interesting. I figured Jon and Dani would make a great pairing. I also didn't want to go for the "class hates Marinette because of Lila'' thing here.
Classiccartoon27- I'm glad that you're excited. We'll just have to see what happens, won't we?
OceanaMM- Danny exists in this world. Chaos has existed in this world since the story started, lol.
That_ENFP_Guy- Lol! That would be hilarious. That is now an idea to consider in my head.
JackInqu13- Yup. And Rose just snapped. Lila will not be happy that she made that happen.
RedDragonofMirkwood- Ha! Petty Vengeance League! That's a good one!
Rocky- Oh… Oh gosh. Now you've given me more to work with in this chapter.
CodeB9- Yup. She's really messed up now. I'm going to enjoy writing it. Hehehe
MarvelFan616- Yeah it's something I thought would be fun to implement, at least in the authors' notes for now. Let's hope that the Deadpool that plagues these stories bever remembers it, lol. Nice use of guild language, lol.
MorganaLeFay- I'm glad you like it! I jump around a lot because there are basically four main characters at this point. Danny, Ellie, Marinette, and Dick. Sure the others get their own chapters, such as the Meanwhile and the Roll Initiative chapters, but this is their story. I'm glad that it's working so far though.
Chloe: How many more are there!? The wait is ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!
Inkaliber: Hold your horses! That was the last one! I'm starting the chapter now. I don't own Miraculous, Danny Phantom, Marvel, DC, or any other series that show up here. I do own any original characters, concepts, creatures, and places that work their way into the story unless stated otherwise.

Paris, France
Marinette walked across the streets of Paris, a defeated look on her face. She hadn't felt this down in the dumps since the infamous slap. In spite of everything that she hoped for, nothing had changed when it came to Lila. The liar still had some way to keep herself afloat, this time in the form of a remote that shuts off cameras. She was currently considering Lila's threat to leave the school when she felt a cool air nearby.
"I heard someone could use a little cheering up," stated Danny. He walked into view as Marinette turned towards him. "Chloe told me what happened. Why don't we settle down and head back to your parents' bakery for…" Marinette turned away from the ghost boy, her frown still on her face.
"Just go back to your family, Danny," ordered the bakers' daughter. "I'm not in a good mood." Danny walked in front of her, giving her a small smile.
"Which is why I'm here to help. She mentioned how you said you felt like you should just disappear, and that is a thought I cannot let you keep. I said this to Jules once when she was having a freakout about being called Mrs. Forgettable, but you matter to so many people. If you disappeared or left, nothing would be the same." Marinette looked in the opposite direction from him, trying not to show any response.
Danny got an idea as he pointed to the sky. "Look up and tell me how many stars you see." The baker's daughter scoffed as she turned towards the ghost boy.
"Danny, it's the middle of the day. There are no stars in the sky." Danny shook his head in denial.
"That's the thing, they're all still there. We just can't see them right now. Our own star, the sun, is blocking them out and lighting up our world. That's what you do for the Guild and for everyone who calls you a friend. Heck, without you we wouldn't even have the guild in the first place."
Marinette slowly felt the smile she originally didn't want form on her face, watching as Danny gestured to her. "You're a sun in the lives of every good person you touch. Without you, their worlds wouldn't be as bright. Don't give up the fight against Lila, because I can guarantee that everyone else is ready to knock her down a peg too." The designer couldn't help but playfully hit the tourist on the arm, causing him to chuckle.
"You're such a space dork, you know that? How come you make so much sense when you're cheering someone up?" Danny grinned as he pointed to himself with his thumb.
"That's what Jazz likes to call my 'little brother charm'. It always seems to work for her so, since you're kind of like a second sister to me at this point, I was hoping it'd work here." Marinette smiled as she nodded her head.
"Well it did. Now, what are you guys up to? You made it sound like Chloe told the whole guild about what happened." Danny bit his lip as he looked away, though this only confirmed Marinette's suspicions. "She didn't!"
Before anything else could be said, the bell began to ring. This had Marinette panicking as she grabbed the sides of her head. "Lunch period's almost over! I'm going to be late!" Danny grinned as he got an idea.
"Looks like this is the second time the Phantom express is used. All aboard!" The ghost boy ignored Marinette's cries of denial as he transformed into Phantom, picking her up like a pet and carrying her across the city. All across the way, the people heard the cry of the Everyday Ladybug. They ended up passing by a familiar mansion, the home of a rather depressed young man.
Adrien could be found sitting at the dining table of his home, sadly eating at a rather bland lunch. He felt sorrowful at the fact that he once again holed up in his stuffy mansion rather than being at school with his friends. He mentally cursed Lila for what she did. Everything was perfect before she showed her hideous hairdo at DuPont. His grumbling was heard by someone nearby.
Standing nearby was a woman with pale skin, bluebell eyes, and black hair with a streak on the left side of her head that is dyed a red color. She was wearing glasses with black and red striped frames, very pale blue eyeshadow, a red turtleneck sweater, a black dress jacket, black pants, black medium-heel shoes, and round creamy-white earrings. This was Nathalie Sancoeur, the assistant of Adrien's father. She did her best to take care of Adrien in Gabriel's absence, which was growing to be a rather common occurrence. She looked at Adrien with a blank expression.
"Is something the matter, Adrien?" questioned Nathalie. "You should finish your breakfast before your piano lessons." Adrien growled as he slid the plate away from him.
"I don't want piano lessons," declared the model. "I want to go back to DuPont, where my friends are right now!" The assistant shook her head in denial.
"Your father has made it clear that DuPont is not the right school due to the bad influences present there. I may be able to talk him into letting you go to a different school if you would just…" Adrien stood up as he sent a glare Nathalie's way, the look reminding her of his mother.
"The only bad influence is Lila, and I don't even listen to her! Even when I'm not forced to work with her she's still ruining my life. I had to leave so many friends behind because of her lies. Maybe if Father cared more about me than his reputation he would have seen this coming." Nathalie's eyes narrowed upon those words leaving the boy's lips.
"Don't be absurd, Adrien. Your father cares for you deeply." Adrien clenched his fists as he stood his ground.
"He listened to a lying stranger over his own child, without any proof to boot! The only reason I got to go out with my girlfriend was to keep up his reputation! Ever since the school year grew closer to starting back, he's been keeping me inside more and more! Tell me with a straight face that those are the traits of a good father!" The assistant tried to find some counter to Adrien's words, only to find none.
The model boy's expression swapped to one of sadness as he placed a hand on his chest. "Don't I deserve to be happy just like everyone else?" The question made Nathalie sigh as she shook her head.
"Adrien, you deserve all of the happiness in the world. If it were up to me you'd be back in that school, but your father has the final say in these situations. There isn't much I can do." The continued frown on the boy's face admittedly broke her heart, especially the look in his eyes. Adrien sighed as he walked back towards his room.
"I'm going to my room. Don't bother me until the stupid piano lessons." Nathalie reached out to get him to stop, only for the boy to slam the rather large door behind him. She sighed as she adjusted her glasses. Something had to give.
Upon entering his admittedly large room, Adrien took a look around. There were so many things in there that were meant to keep him occupied, to keep him happy. Lately, however, even the things he chose for himself gave him no joy. He looked around to make sure no one was watching. He opened his over shirt, allowing a small black creature that resembled a cat with green eyes floated out of it.
Adrien clenched his fist with a serious frown. "We're leaving. Plagg, Claws Out."
Marinette grumbled about Danny being stupid as she walked to class. He set her outside the school before seemingly flying off to do something. She had to pop her back as the flight left her feeling pretty stiff. Still, it was nice to be on time this time. Perhaps she should consider slinging around as Ladybug to get to places more often.
Her musing was cut off as she heard the sound of laughter. She looked inside the classroom to see that Lila was laughing at something, presumably something she said. Her laughter seemed to go unaccompanied as the occupants of the room seemed to be looking at her. Even Alya seemed ticked by whatever it was Lila said, though Marinette quickly looked away from the wannabe reporter as she walked to her own seat. Lila looked like she had a sinister idea in mind, preparing to turn off the camera of the room with her hidden remote.
"Attention class," stated Professor Doute. Lila quickly hid the remote away as the redheaded professor walked into the room. "I would be welcoming you to your next class, but there are apparently surprise visitors with adequate reason to be here. Allow me to introduce the Wayne family from America." Everyone's eyes widened in response to their teacher's announcement, Marinette now realizing just what the guild had planned.
The four Wayne children stepped into the room, each wearing black suits with ties that had colors corresponding to who they were as Batman's allies. Dick wore a blue tie, Jason wore a red tie with black lines, and Damian wore a green tie with a golden pin. The fourth boy, Tim, looked a lot like the others save for the difference in hairstyle. He was wearing a straight red tie, subtly hinting towards his hero identity as Red Robin. Marinette rubbed her eyes a few times as she looked over the group.
'Wow,' thought the bakers' daughter. 'Bruce Wayne really does have a type when it comes to adopting kids.' She soon laid eyes upon Nightwing, feeling a familiar air between the two of them. It was almost like that time Danny first arrived in Paris. Dick seemed to glance over this feeling as he looked over the class.
"Bonjour, everyone," greeted the first Bat Son. "Bruce couldn't be with us today but he gave us the go ahead to start without him. We've come to Paris to settle an important personal matter. Would Mrs. Lila Rossi, please come down here?" Lila clapped her hands together as she quickly stood up from her seat.
"Oh my gosh." whispered Jason. "She really does look like she has sausage hair." Tim did his best not to burst out laughing as their target walked her way down the stairs.
"Please hold your applause," requested the confident liar. "I am so honored that the illustrious Wayne family arrived to see me. I have so many ideas for projects when we begin working together." Damian did his best not to make any puking reaction, earning chuckles from those who were in the know. Dick nodded his head as he kept a serious look on his face.
"You sound rather smart for your age. I suppose you would know what these represent then." He handed a small stack of documents over to the liar, the girl graciously taking them from him.
"Oh I'm sure it's a contract for my new role at Wayne Tech. I had been looking for new employment after I was wrongfully relieved of duty from the Agreste brand." Lila glanced over at the class, hoping to put despair into Marinette. Her expression turned to one of suspicion when she noticed that Chloe was grinning the entire time. Deciding not to beat around the bush anymore, Dick took a few steps back.
"I'm sure you'll find something eventually, like fast food or something. Those are cease and desist notices. From ourselves, Mr. Wayne, and a handful of other famous individuals." Marinette, Mylene, Ivan, and especially Nathaniel couldn't help but allow their jaws to grow slack at this revelation. Lila's eyes widened as she looked over the various papers.
"T…There must be some mistake. What have I done to deserve such notices?" Jason felt the need to speak as he let a bit of his Red Hood show through.
"Are you seriously asking that?" questioned the violent man. "You spread lies about every single person on that document. Some of the things you said could ruin entire careers if people thought they were true. Your mother's lucky none of them decided to press charges after she already had to pay for your court case." Lila growled as Damian pulled his sleeves a bit.
"There's also a restraining order of mine in that stack." revealed the young man. "I'd rather not have a filthy liar in my presence. By the way, you're two feet too close." This bit of information made Lila step back, not wanting the police to be involved. Juleka stood up from her seat, a determined frown on her face.
"And don't you dare call how you got FIRED from the Agreste brand wrongful!" cried the Tigress. "After everything you've done to the rest of us, both in and out of school, you deserve more than just being fired from your dream job! You didn't even learn your lesson after the lawsuit! You've found plenty of time to harass myself and Marinette ever since the school year started back." Lila smirked as she shook her head.
"Just what proof do you have?" questioned the liar. "You have nothing to say that you're telling the truth. Why don't you sit down and be quiet while we sort out this issue like mature people." Marinette was prepared to stand up, both for herself and Juleka. Suddenly someone held up a small remote, causing everyone to look their way.
"I've got her proof right here." revealed Alya. This time everyone in the class, save for Chloe and Nino, dropped their jaws. The scorned reporter turned on the projector, also activating the audio system. Lila felt her web of lies begin to shatter as a blank space appeared on the screen. Her downfall became even more apparent as the audio began to play.
"You have no idea who you're messing with, do you?" stated a recording of Lila. "I can ruin your entire way of life with one lie. I've done it before, and I'm not afraid to do it again. You'll take your rightful place beside Mrs. Forgettable over there." Lila growled as she turned towards Alya.
"Turn it off!" cried the present Lila. "Alya turn that off right now or you can forget about our friendship!" The reporter wannabe growled as she handed the remote back to the person behind her.
"You mean the friendship where you did nothing but lie?" questioned Alya. "You opened my eyes to the real you when you threw me under the bus at the jewelry store. You convinced me that our 'Everyday Ladybug' was actually a menace and turned us against each other. This isn't even half of what you deserve!" Marinette's eyes widened at the way Alya talked, only for the audio to keep going.
"You'll find that I can be very convincing," stated the Lila recording in another instance. "Like how I convinced Nathaniel that he is unable to tell friend from foe in these turbulent times. It was so easy, especially with him being unable to communicate with you or anyone else in our rather foolish class. He even spooked out when that ditzy loser ran over to say hi." Nathaniel had a hurt look in his eyes while Rose gained a furious look on her face.
"You can't get away with this forever!" cried the voice of Marinette. "The whole class has their eyes on you and there are security cameras in every room other than the bathrooms. Even then the doors are monitored by cameras. One way or another, you will be caught in the act." Lila looked to Professor Doute with a pleading look on her face.
"Professor, please!" cried the liar. "Make them shut it off!" The man sent her a stern face as he shook his head.
"I'm afraid I can't do that," refused the professor. "Especially when irrefutable evidence has been brought to my attention." Lila felt another nail strike into the coffin of her reign in the school as she heard her own voice scoff.
"What good are cameras when I can shut them off in an instant?" questioned the voice of Lila. "If they replace the cameras due to 'glitches', then I'll just set the remote to their frequency. You can thank EvilGeniusSpicer and his website for getting my hands on a piece of tech like this." The liar subtly brought her hand to the pocket of her bag the remote was hidden in, making sure no one could reach it. Professor Doute frowned as he walked towards the trouble-making student.
"Remote? What remote? Hand it over immediately." Lila immediately began to think of what lie she could tell to get out of revealing any more condemning evidence. That's when she felt a shift in her bag.
She looked back to see no one behind her. All she saw was the remote she so coveted jump out of its placement, landing on the floor. She moved to grab it, only for Professor Doute to beat her to it. He looked it over before aiming it at the nearby security camera, his scowl hardening when he saw the device turn off the instant he pressed a button. Pressing the same button turned it back on.
"I'd watch your step, Marinette. All the eyes in the world won't matter now. With just a click of my remote, I can make anything into evidence I need. I suggest you leave Paris and never come back, or else I will ruin your life forever." The look on Professor Doute's face portrayed his anger perfectly as he turned towards the liar.
"Lila Rossi, you are in so much trouble. Even expulsion will be too light of a punishment. We'll have to call your mother to have a discussion about this." Lila felt a bit of saving grace in that moment, knowing she could convince that woman to take her side. Tim decided to pipe up as he adjusted his tie.
"She's already on her way." stated the young man. "Mrs. Grazia is rather miffed about everything her daughter has been up to." Lila's eyes widened at the mention of that name, the last nail being punched in as everyone seemed to be looking at the Americans in confusion.
"Mrs. Grazia?" questioned Kim. "Lila's last name is Rossi. What? Does Lila have two mothers or something?" Dick looked at the group, his serious frown never leaving his face.
"Four, actually." stated the first adopted Bat Child. "She ran away from her real home before being adopted into the Rossi house and then she was assigned to the other two as a way to cope with Mrs. Rossi's absence. Isn't that right, Cerise Grazia? Looking up all of your legal names made getting a hold of these papers a lot harder." Lila shook as she tried to find the words to say, only for the projector to display a diorama of different pictures.
Each picture depicted either Lila or a girl that looked strikingly similar to her, each one of them accompanied by different official documents and images of her in other school pictures. "We had to have three different missing person cases be reopened in Italy to gather this evidence. You've been on the run ever since you were seven. As soon as your real mother heard where you were, she immediately chartered a jet to get here as soon as possible." Lila pointed to the group in anger, a panicked look on her face.
"L…look who's lying now!" cried the liar. "You people are just trying to defame me for everything I said! You may have found all of those recordings, but they were all out of context! Do you honestly expect anyone to believe that any of those other girls are me! I swear I'll sue you for everything you…"
Lila's eyes widened as she felt a tug on her hair. Everyone's eyes widened as, to them, it looked like an open window perfectly closed on her hair. The liar felt something push her forward, causing her hair to jerk from where it was caught. Almost everyone in the room watched with shocked expressions as the hair came flying off, revealing itself to be a wig. Her hair was actually rather short, being styled in a pixie cut.
Lila was the spitting image of Cerise Grazia, save for the fact that Cerise had hazel brown eyes. Dick crossed his arms as the whole room became as cold as an ice box. "Your eyes might be green, but it's very likely that you're wearing contact lenses. You are, beyond a doubt, Cerise Grazia." Rose shot straight up as she clenched her fists.
"You've been lying about your whole life!?" cried the normally nice girl. "You left your own parents worried about you! You lied to all three women you went to after your mother! I'm gonna kick your sorry little…!" Juleka quickly held Rose back, whispering as she soothed the now raged filled blonde. Professor Doute grabbed Ceris by the arm, his grasp like a vice.
"You will be coming with me straight to the principal's office." growled the man. "There you will wait for your real mother. She and Principal Pines will determine whether to call in Mrs. Rossi to settle this matter." Cerise fought against the man's grip, growling as she tried to escape. All movement and noises stopped when Nathaniel slowly stood up from his seat.
"You… YOU LIED TO ME!" cried the redhead. "You made me think my friends were against me! Made me think I couldn't think for myself! I bet you even destroyed my sketch book that day before pinning it on Marinette! How did I believe you over Marinette!?"
The artist swiped Lila's books off her side of the table as he took deep breaths. "You were even lying about who you really are! I don't even know you anymore! I… I can't…" Nathaniel broke down as he sat down, cradling in the fetal position as he grabbed at his head.
"Nath!" cried Alix. She jumped up from her spot as she ran to embrace him, Rose quickly doing the same on the other side. "It's okay. Breathe." Across Paris, Hawkmoth's window opened up.
"Anger, sadness, and betrayal," listed the butterfly themed villain. "Yet another perfect storm just waiting to happen! I knew you wouldn't let me down, my little pawn." He quickly turned one of the butterflies into an akuma before practically throwing it out the window. "Go my little akuma, and evilize this young man!"
The butterfly practically soared across the skies as it approached the school. Nathaniel remained in his position as Lila continued to force her way out of Professor Doute's grip. Marinette stood up as she sent a glare towards the liar.
"This is what a vrăjitoare like you gets for lying to everyone." growled the bluenette. "You've hurt so many people that it's come back to bite you. Karma has finally caught up with you." Lila immediately began to think of every curse word in Italian that she knew, poised to throw them at the bakers' daughter. The tension in the room suddenly grew as Max pointed to the slightly ajar window.
"Akuma!" cried the local genius. All but Nathaniel turned their eyes to the approaching butterfly of evil. Marinette immediately looked around for some way to get out and transform, Chloe doing the same. Lila's frown turned dark as she got a horrible idea. She suddenly bit Professor Doute on the arm, causing him to scream as he released her.
She grabbed a small box meant for jewelry as she raced towards the evil butterfly. "Lila… er Cerise! No!" The liar paid her enemy no mind as she caught the akuma in the box, the object turning black with purple details. She heard a familiar groaning as Hawkmoth's insignia appeared in front of her eyes.
"You idiot!" cried the villain. "You gave me the perfect akuma to use and…" Hawkmoth had to take a moment to stop as a powerful wave of emotion washed over him. It was the most vile, putrid, evil thing he had ever felt. Cerise grinned wickedly as she kept the box close to her chest.
"Hawkmoth, my dear friend." greeted the girl. "From here on I shall be known as Verregnée. My web of lies has been shattered like glass and the empire of my design crumbled into oblivion. Grant me the power to destroy those who have wronged me, and everyone they've ever cared about. Allow me to turn this city to dust and rebuild it in my perfect image."
She moved her free hand to the side as her grin grew wider alongside her eyes. "Do that, and I shall turn the so-called Miraculous Heroes into pieces on the street! When the dust settles, I will hand deliver every Miraculous to you." Dick frowned as he quickly realized the situation. Professor Doute beat him to the punch as he gestured to the door.
"Everyone out now!" cried the professor. "This is going to be a category 10 akuma! Get to safety bunkers immediately!" Kim ran up to pick up Nathaniel as the class began to pour out. As this chaos was going on, Hawkmoth found himself unleashing his craziest laugh yet.
"Yes!" cheered the villain. "This vile, wicked, despicably evil cacophony of emotions! No hero will be able to best this level of power! Verregnée., you have a deal." The dark energy of evilization formed over Lila as she let loose a witches cackle.
Her body was morphed into glass as she slowly rose up from her prior position. A Greek toga replaced the top half of her clothes while her legs were replaced with the body of a spider. Her hair spiked out like the spines of a porcupine, her eyes becoming glowing white orbs as they were joined by two more smaller sets. She put the box in a hole in the middle of her chest, implying that this akuma had no heart. She morphed the glass of her body to cover the hole in her chest as she took a deep breath.
"It's time to reshape the world," declared Verregnée. "First things first, to DESTROY Marinette Dupain-Cheng and her little friends." She quickly ran for the door, her glass legs creating loud tapping noises against the floor. She reached for the handle, only to dodge when the whole door was frozen. She turned around with a hiss, being met by an angry Phantom.
"I'd say have a heart and give up, but it looks like you can only do one of those things," insulted the ghost hero. "I'd give you both the easy way and the hard way, but in all honesty I only feel like doing one of them." He summoned two of his ghostly blades as his eyes glowed with energy. "Take a guess at which one I'm thinking of, witch." Verregnée growled as she hunched down a bit.
"You foolish freak! I'll tear you apart for getting in my way!" The villainess lunged at the hero, her front two legs poised to stab him. The boy quickly blocked the attack, grunting as she actually had the strength to push him backwards. With one swift motion he shattered the tips of the extremities, floating backwards to avoid the massive body of the spider woman.
She grunted as she landed a little lower than before, rage clear on her face. Phantom dodged once again as his opponent leapt at him, the girl crashing through the window as more of her legs broke. She roared in anger as she landed on the ground, her spider body cracking. People all around ran away at the sight of the unholy monstrosity. She soon began to bring together the glass shards around her, reforming her broken pieces as Danny floated out into the open air.
"Looks like beating you isn't going to be that simple. Then again, I could always just break you open and take that little box out of you." Verregnée grinned as she opened the hole, reaching inside for the box.
"You think you're so clever, Phantom. I bet you even had a hand in my downfall. Well, I've got an old friend just for you. From my menagerie of terror, come forth Holy Rocker!" She opened the box, causing a small glass pod to leap from it.
The pod expanded with the glass shards into the area, becoming a glass statue of Holy Rocker. Glass orbs formed behind the puppet as it made a motion similar to flipping a coin. Danny frowned as he slumped forward.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me." The puppet made one of the orbs fly at Phantom, hitting him dead center in the chest. The object apparently did not carry the capture function as it instead sent the hero flying. The glass replica stood on two of its orbs as it flew after the boy. Cerise laughed once again as she looked to the scene in front of her.
"Have fun with that one, Phantom! Now, to make Marinette suffer." Verregnée turned towards the front of the school, watching as many students ran out into the streets. Unable to pick out her target from the masses, the villainess rushed off to meet them head on. She relished in their cries as they dispersed into a panicked mass.
Master Fu stumbled forwards a bit, thankful that he had no clients at the moment. He felt this same dizziness as soon as the alarm for a level 10 akuma sounded off. Something about this felt more vile than anything Hawkmoth could produce on a normal basis. This was the pure evil of a villain who willingly accepted the darkness in their own heart. He never expected someone so evil to be in Paris. He hardened his glare as he looked towards a nearby record player.
"Paris is no longer safe," declared the old man. He opened it up to retrieve a large wooden box, the Miracle Box. "I have to get the Miraculous out of the city. I just hope that Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Honey Bee will be able to deal with this threat on their own." A blue light behind him caused Fu to freeze.
"They won't." stated a young voice. He turned around prepared to fight, only to be met by a young Bunnyx. He opened the box, finding that the Rabbit Miraculous was missing. "I am Bunnyx. My future self told me that it was my time to take up the mantle as our time has branched off to where I am needed as the active Rabbit holder."
Fu nodded his head, feeling no ill will from the rabbit girl. "In order to stop this akuma, every Miraculous currently in the box must be put into action." The old man shook his head in denial as he carefully moved the box away from the girl.
"I cannot do that. Normally I would have been happy to do so to stop an akuma like this, but a being this evil would undoubtedly obtain them through battle. There is far too much at stake for me to carelessly make another mistake. I should have known that the stakes would have been raised by allowing more permanent holders." Bunnyx shook her head as she placed a hand on the master's shoulder.
"I understand your fear. I saw what happened in your past, dude. This is nothing like that time you wanted a sandwich. If these Miraculous are not used, Hawkmoth will win. If we want time to keep flowing and nothing to be destroyed beyond repair, you're gonna have to hand those over for now."
Fu looked down at the box, his expression growing sorrowful. Alix smiled as she removed her hand and prepared to receive the object. "I promise that everything will be returned to you by the end of this. If I fail, I'll hand over my Miraculous. Noticing how serious she was about the importance of the Miraculous being used, Fu turned back towards her with a sigh.
"Very well. Understand that it will be on your hands if anyone unworthy were to receive these Miraculous and keep hold of them." Bunnyx nodded as she received the box from the old man.
"I won't let you down. I'll also need Wayzz's Miraculous." Fu reluctantly removed the bracelet from his arm, allowing it to fall into its appropriate spot in the top slot of the box. With the object in hand, the girl leapt into a hole in time. The guardian was left to sit on his thoughts as he awaited whatever fate would befall this world he called home.
Panic continued to spread as the people ran away from Verregnée. She showed off another unique power as she shot webs at certain pedestrians, the fluid hardening like glass upon impact and making the victims unable to move. She laughed to herself as she leapt onto the top of a car. A few people who were running that way screamed as they skidded to a halt. She picked up one of them, a black haired young man in a red hoodie, as she brought him up to her face.
"Where is Marinette Dupain-Cheng!?" cried Verregnée. "Tell me and I might let you go! Emphasis on 'might'!" One of the other kids picked up a rock as if to throw it, only to stop as the monster brought one of her legs closer to piercing the boy. She was about to go for the strike when a book hit her in the head, causing her face to break.
"Hey!" cried Nathaniel. The villainess growled as she looked his way, the boy shaking in his shoes. "Let him go! If you don't, I'll hit you with something harder!" Cerise grinned evilly as she dropped the boy.
"Oh Nathaniel." Her grin turned into a toothy scowl as she prepared to jump. "You never knew when you weren't wanted." Verregnée leapt forwards in an attempt to skewer the boy with her legs, only for something to crash into her. Her spider body shattered as she began rolling down the street.
She came to a stop as it looked like there were nothing but pieces left. She quickly reformed herself, however, as she hissed at the offender. Honey Bee floated midair as she clenched her fists.
"You don't know how long I've waited for this," growled the bee themed heroine. "After I heard about you from Ladybug, I've been itching for the day when you get your justice. Now that we know that you associate yourself with Hawkmoth, I don't have to hold back my punches." Verregnée grinned once again as she grabbed her box again.
"You think that you're instantly above Queen Bee, don't you? How about you face Queen Wasp and find out!?" She opened her box, unleashing a glass version of her villain of choice. Several small glass bees rose behind the puppet, ready to strike. Before it could even issue an order, Honey Bee crashed through it in a flash.
"Been there, done that. Just like you, Queen Bee and any form she takes is old news." Verregnée growled as she prepared to open the box again, only for a familiar yoyo to wrap around her wrist. Her hand was suddenly pulled back, making the box drop out of her hand. She turned towards the owner of the weapon, Ladybug herself standing on the other end of the line.
"It's over, Verregnée," growled the girl. "Now and forever." The glass spider villainess looked like she was about to growl, only to smirk as she tried not to laugh. "What's so funny?" Cerise pointed to the box on the ground.
"Whenever I open the box, I get whatever I wish for," informed Verregnée. "When it's opened by someone else, whether intentional or by accident, a villain is released based on an evil the user fears to face. What akuma brings out the fear of the great Ladybug, I wonder?" Marinette's eyes widened as she saw one of several small droplets leap from the box. The glass bead turned into a puppet of Lady Wi-Fi, Alya's most famous infamous akuma form.
Ladybug instinctually called her yoyo back as the puppet approached her. Without the aid of her phone powers, the puppet prepared itself to hit the hero. Marinette saw flashbacks of the famous slap that she missed. She felt her body frieze up, her eyes widening as her heartbeat increased. Before anything could happen to her, a familiar polearm crashed into the puppet.
"My Lady!" cried Chat Noir. Ladybug looked to her companion thankfully as he landed beside her. "Keep your head in the game. Are you alright?" The lead heroine shook her head as she tried to regain her composure.
"I… I'm fine," stated Marinette. "Thanks for the save, Chaton." Verregnée laughed hysterically as she picked up the dropped box. She jumped to her left to avoid a flying kick from Honey Bee. She prepared the container once again as she grinned.
"I can't believe the city's greatest hero is afraid of a little reporter twink! This is going to be too easy! Come forth again, Lady Wi-Fi!" She opened the box, only to find that nothing was happening. She growled as she opened the object over and over again, earning a smirk from Chat Noir.
"Looks like someone can only call upon one kind of akuma at a time," declared the cat hero. "We'll definitely remember that one." Verregnée growled as she let the insignia of the butterfly form over her face.
"Hawkmoth! What is the meaning of this!?" The main villain growled as he threw his arm to the side.
"Foolish child!" growled the man. "You cannot seriously believe that I'd let you have unlimited power! Even if I could, there would still be some glaring weakness. I'd rather not be backstabbed by you running away with the Miraculous, so be more sparing of your resources!" Verregnée roared as she swiped the insignia away, quickly dodging as the three heroes leapt at her.
"Fine! I'll just have to divide you loser heroes! Copycat, Antibug, Dark Cupid!" She opened the box once again, this time unleashing three droplets. The first turned into a glass replica of Chat Noir, the second turned into a glass model that appeared to be Chloe in the ladybug suit, and the last transformed into a muscular young man with wings and a bow.
The Dark Cupid replica readied a glass arrow in his bow as he fired at Honey Bee. The bee hero was forced to take off into the sky as her opponent chased after her. The Antibug puppet was delivered a massive sword of glass, swinging it at Ladybug. The spotted hero had to leap backwards to avoid the attack, watching as Chat Noir clashed weapons with the aptly named Copycat. She was forced to dodge yet again as the bug themed replica took another swing at her.
Verregnée chuckled as she opened her box yet again. "Anansi, Mr. Pigeon, Sapotis!" Three more beads leapt from the box. The first one became a spider themed woman with multiple arms, the second transformed into both Mr. Pigeon and his massive bird, and the last multiplied as it transformed into about 10 little gremlin creatures. "Gather everyone from my class! If you find Marinette Dupain-Cheng, rough her up before you bring her to me!"
The glass puppets nodded in acknowledgement before rushing off to complete their master's orders. Verregnée returned her attention to the heroes before her, waiting for the moment to bring in another puppet. The sound of a fast approaching object, however, caused her to jerk her head to the side a bit.
"INCOMING!" cried a familiar voice. Verregnée turned around just as Phantom flew straight at her. She prepared to strike him, only for the specter to turn intangible as he flew through her. She looked confused at first, only for her eyes to widen as the glass replica of Holy Rocker was flying at her she waved her arms frantically in a panic.
"NO YOU IDIOT!" The puppet was unable to stop in time as it crashed into its creator, causing them both to shatter. Danny quickly flew over to grab the box that held the akuma, grinning as he bounced it carefully in his hand.
"That was easy. Time to slice and…" Phantom tried to cut through the box with one of his ice blades, only to find that something was taking the hits instead. He growled as he noticed a thick casing around the container. "Of course she encases it in a thick glass shell."
His grumbling was cut off as he heard the sound of shattering glass. He turned to his right to see the shards of Verregnée crashing into the windows of a building, breaking them into pieces. He watched as the shards followed the pieces, coming together to form a much larger version of the villainess. "To Kill a Mockingbird…" He did his best not to drop the box as Verregnée let out a monstrous roar.
"GIVE ME THAT BACK! IT'S MINE YOU UNDEAD CREATINE!" The box tried to return to the monster as she willed it to, but Phantom had a rather strong grip. He flew off as the now massive spider woman rushed after him. He had to keep the box away from her until Chat Noir could destroy the glass coating around it.
Juleka took the lead as she tried to get her classmates to safety. She had no idea where Marinette, Alix, and Chloe were but she assumed they were lost in the crowd of panicking people. She knew Danny could handle Lila, or Cerise as she's actually named, alone until the Miraculous Heroes arrived. She had the strangest feeling in her gut, however, that things were not going to be that simple. She shook her head as soon as she saw the akuma bunker, looking back to the rest of her class.
"There it is!" cried the normally shy girl. "If we hurry we can…" Rose suddenly grabbed her shoulders and pulled her back.
"Look out!" cried the blonde. A car rolled in front of them, almost crushing the duo. Alya's eyes widened as she watched the Anansi statue stand nearby.
"A glass statue of Anansi!?" cried the wannabe reporter. "That's my sister's akuma form." The sound of a terrifying shriek caught the group's attention as something massive flew overhead. The Mr. Pigeon replica landed his Gertrude steed in an effort to intimidate the children. Soon they were joined by the small army of Sapotis, Kim took a step back as he tried to shield the others, Ivan joining him in the effort.
"It's like Lila is using glass to make every past akuma come back again," stated the athlete. "She could literally be everywhere in Paris at once." The puppets decided to start moving as they rushed towards the group, Juleka looking back the way they came.
"Run!" cried the girl. "Try to lose them in the buildings!" The class quickly dispersed into the city, doing their best to use the small space between some buildings as cover. The Gertrude replica quickly took off into the air as Mr. Pigeon gave chase after Juleka. The girlfriend of Phantom quickly weaved through many different tight spaces to make sure that the bird monster couldn't immediately reach her.
She soon looked back to make sure the beast was still a good distance away from her, only to bump into something. She slowly looked to the area, quickly noticing that she ran herself into a dead end with the buildings. There was a small gap to her right, but she was too big to fit through it. She began to weigh her options, only to hear a screeching behind her. She turned to watch as the huge glass bird came soaring towards her.
Its wings broke against the sides of the building as it came skidding towards her, slowing down as its body scraped against the ground. Juleka was forced to hunker down as the beast had its maw ready to chomp on her. She covered her head with her arms, only for the sound of shattering glass to catch her attention. She took a moment to look up, only to suddenly swap to a more relaxed sitting position as she saw Nightwing standing between her and the now shattered remains of the Gertrude statue.
"I'll ask you to be more careful where you run in the future, Mrs. Couffaine," requested Dick. He looked back at her with a small smirk. "Your boyfriend wouldn't appreciate you getting yourself hurt." Juleka dumbly nodded her head as the hero turned his attention back to the area in front of him, the Mr. Pigeon statue being the only thing remaining of the glass duo as it stood with cracks in its form. It began to form glass pigeons behind it from the remains of Gertrude, only for a blinking birdarang to lodge into its forehead.
The object exploded, destroying the statue. The glass pigeons fell apart without a master to control them. The sound of gunshots rang through the air, causing Juleka to jolt and Nightwing to smirk. "Looks like Red Hood and the others have the other figures covered. Time to assist in taking down Verregnée."
The hero quickly used a grappling hook to head for the nearby rooftops, leaving Juleka alone. The girl was left to her thoughts as she slowly stood up, looking over the area. It quickly dawned on her that if Cerise could create glass puppets of past akumas, she might be able to do even Danny in. That was something Juleka could not let happen. She quickly located a rusty metal pipe on the ground, preparing to pick it up before Bunnyx suddenly landed in front of her.
"Love the energy, Jules, but that won't work out so well," revealed the bunny themed heroine. Juleka took a few steps back, only for the redhead to hold her hand up. "Relax. Name's Bunnyx, and I'm here to help." This explanation didn't satisfy the former gloomy girl as she clenched her fists.
"If you really are here to help, you won't stop me. Even if I can't do much, I have to do something to help. Hawkmoth and Lila have gotten away with this for too long, and I will NOT let that lying Vrăjitoare squash MY man!" Bunnyx felt something in her other pocket bounce around as if it were empowered by Juleka's outcry. The bunny hero sounded her interest as she reached her hand inside the area.
"Well someone clearly likes your spirit. A rusty pipe will only get you killed out there though. I think I might have just the thing to help you though. Something a little more… miraculous." Bunnyx's words suddenly caught Juleka off guard, pausing whatever argument her head was forming.
The time traveling hero held up a small wooden box with a smile. "Juleka Couffaine, I present to you the Tiger Panjas Bracelet. It has the power of Elation, and it seems like its Kwami will be elated to meet you. You will use it for the greater good." Juleka received the box from Bunnyx, watching as a purple glow seemed to be emanating from the bumping top.
Knowing she couldn't keep the kwami inside long, Alix decided to continue. "Once the job is done… we'll see what happens." Juleka gave the bunny hero a raised brow before slowly lifting the lid of the box. The object practically popped open as a magenta light suddenly swirled around her. It came to a stop in front of her face, revealing itself to be a Kwami resembling a magenta tigress with dark magenta stripes.
"I could feel everything in stasis!" cried the little creature in excitement. Juleka jerked back a bit at the sudden energy. "The passion, the determination, the drive to protect the boy you wish to mate! You'll be more than perfect for the job!" The human girl suddenly blushed as she waved her hands frantically.
"Let's not talk about the whole 'mate' thing!" cried Juleka. "Just tell me what I need to do!" The Kwami chuckled a bit as she spun around in the air.
"Now I see why Xuppu keeps talking about how funny human expressions are! My ultimate technique is Clout, where I charge up my fighting spirit into my fist. My power will also be yours when you say 'Roarr: Stripes on!'" Juleka nodded as she slid the panjas bracelet over her hand. She took a deep breath in order to calm herself before allowing a smirk to appear on her face.
"Roarr: Stripes on!" Juleka raised her hand into the air as Roarr flew into the gemstone of her bracelet, activating the Miraculous. She then swiped her hands in an "X" shape in front of her face as a red domino mask with purple eyebrow areas formed upon her face. Her hair changed to a more purple color as the ends turned red, the back being magically pulled up into a ponytail. A pair of red cat ears with white insides formed on top of her head, completing the feline appearance as her eyes changed to be yellow with orange irises.
She then stretched her right arm out to the side, displaying the Tiger Miraculous as an energy glowed at her fingertips. A strong crimson swan-necked superhero outfit began to form over her body. The suit had a pale, light grayish fuchsia front, back of her arms, and palms of her hands and fingers which ended at the middle of her shins, with boots with pale, light grayish fuchsia toe caps resembling paws and golden soles. The suit had dark cerise lace stripes with similar patterns to her lace gloves. Her collar was outlined in gold with a zipper at the front. Her right hand now sported a bejeweled black glove with swirling gold lines and feline-like fingers with golden claws.
Her lips turned to a dark grayish blue-violet in color to complete her physical appearance. She brought her hands together, clenching her fists before immediately pulling them apart again. Magenta energy quickly formed into a line that slacked like a rope. She let go of one end as she whipped the line around her waist, letting go of the other end in the process. The tip formed three spheres as the whole thing turned into a long bola that acted as a tail as the line hugged her hips snugly.
Juleka clawed at the air in front of her to get a feel for her new power before striking a battle ready pose. She growled as she stood up straight, her posture giving off an aura of power. "Now I am Purple Tigress, Paris's very own big cat. Lila, Cerise, or whatever the Vrăjitoare wants to call herself won't know what hit her." Bunnyx grinned as she quickly opened up another portal.
"You better get ready then, Tigress," suggested the bunny hero. "The others are waiting for us." Without hesitation, the newly dubbed Purple Tigress followed the time traveler into the portal.
Phantom continued to weave around in the air as he avoided the massive hands of Verregnée. He held the box containing the akuma tight to his chest, waiting for the right moment to pass it to Chat Noir. Said feline was still battling the glass Copycat, landing hits that caused its body to crack in small areas. Ladybug quickly found time to force the Antibug statue to slash through a lamppost. The bug themed villain smirked as she stepped behind the destroyed object, poking the back of it so that it would fall towards the glass replica.
"Timber!" cried Ladybug. The statue had no time to dodge as the post crashed into it, shattering into pieces upon impact. She then spun her yoyo at high speed as she looked towards her partner. "Chat Noir, duck!" The cat hero quickly did as she instructed him to, avoiding his opponent's claw strike.
Ladybug quickly threw her yoyo at the being, wrapping the cord around its neck. She pulled extremely tightly, causing the entire head to shatter. Chat Noir stood up slowly as he gulped, watching the replica of his akuma duplicate fall backwards as its remaining body shattered.
"...Remind me to never get on your bad side," requested the cat hero. "That was brutal." Ladybug shook her head with a smirk.
"Well be glad you're not Lila Rossi, AKA Cerise Grazia." Her partner looked at her in confusion, obviously caused by the second name. "Apparently Lila's been lying about her entire life, even to the woman she said was her mother. When all of her secrets were revealed, she willingly used her akumatized item to grab the akuma and called Hawkmoth a friend." Adrien growled as he felt a fury growing in his gut.
"I hope the line for justice isn't too long. I have a few words for Lila myself." Marinette grinned at her partner's eagerness to help, only for the sound of grunting to catch both of their attentions. They soon realized that both of their flying teammates were still caught up in danger. Ladybug smirked as she shook her head.
"It's more of a team effort right now. I'll help Honey Bee if you'll give Phantom a hand." This assignment caused Chat to grin as he spun his staff around.
"Ladybug, it would be my genuine pleasure." The cat hero quickly used his weapon to vault towards Verregnée. He spun it around into a striking position as he drew closer to his target. "Hey Itsy-Bitsy Spider!" The villainess quickly turned her attention towards Chat, only for him to break one of her eyes with a swing of his staff.
The hero then came crashing down, spinning with his weapon in hand as he severed the monster's arm. He was about to hit the ground when Phantom caught him, flying away just in time to avoid the huge volley of glass. "Thanks for the save, Phantom. You got the box?" The ghost boy gestured his head towards the small object that was now lying on top of the cat hero's head.
"She's cased it in durable glass," revealed Danny. "I need you to Cataclysm it as soon as possible." It looked like Chat had something to say in response to this, only for the duo to watch as Verregnée quickly collected more glass from a nearby building. Both boys cried out in panic as the spider monster began shooting glass webs at them. Verregnée chased after them with renewed vigor, her need for vengeance growing.
In the sky above, Honey Bee continued to dodge as the Dark Cupid construct's arrows. She tried to find ways to get in hits on the enemy, but he was surprisingly skilled in the air. The bee hero was forced to use her top to hit an incoming arrow, allowing the glass puppet to get in close. The villainous being prepared to draw another arrow, only for a familiar yoyo to suddenly wrap around its arms and keep it in place. Marinette gritted her teeth as she kept a tight hold on her weapon.
"Honey Bee, now!" cried the ladybug hero. Chloe nodded as she launched her weapon at the Dark Cupid puppet, shattering it instantly. The girls nodded to each other, only to turn as the screams of the guys rang through the air. Chat was now running across the rooftops with Danny flying near him, the duo passing the box back and forth as Verregnée tried to squash them. The spider villainess roared as she brought two of her legs up at once.
"HOLD STILL YOU INSECTS!" ordered the vile creature. She struck the building Chat was on, causing him to toss the box in the air as he used his staff to avoid being lost in the falling rubble. Phantom tried to reach for the akumatized object, only for a glass web to strike it and pull it to its mistress. Verregnée laughed maniacally as she prepared to open the box, only for Honeybee and Ladybug to wrap the strings of their weapons all around their enemy. Both girls pulled as hard as they could, shattering the entire glass body of the monster.
Verregnée was forced to reform her regular body midair to encase the box, using a glass web to sling to a nearby building. Honey Bee came in for a flying kick, only for her target to leap down to the ground. Chat leapt at the spider villainess with his fist reared back, landing a strong punch on her face. Both falling individuals were able to land on the road below, Verregnée having a crack in her face once again. Phantom flew towards his enemy, his eyes glowing in his ice powers.
"Verregnée, it's time for you to cool off!" roared the specter. He fired his ice eyebeams at the akuma, only for his target to dodge out of the way. Ladybug swung over with her yoyo, kicking the villain in the back and sending her rolling across the ground. Verregnée attempted to stick the lead Parisian hero with a glass web, only for Phantom to spin his ice blades in a way that cut the web into pieces.
The akuma found herself being attacked on all sides as the heroes took potshots at her. Chat took several moments to strike at her with his staff or scrape her with his claws, Phantom would fire his ranged attacks at her while going in for physical hits, Honey Bee stuck to fighting from the air as she'd drop down from above to strike her target, and Ladybug seemed to have a penchant for punching at Verregnée's chest in an attempt to break through to the box within. Their battle seemed to span the whole of Paris, the spider monster using her glass webs to try and create some distance between herself and them. The butterfly moniker appeared over her face as Hawkmoth let loose a growl.
"You foolish child!" roared the man. "You've allowed them to get the upper hand! Find a way to regain your advantage! If you continue to be on the losing end I swear that I will de-evilize you while you're in the air, sending you crashing to the ground!" Hawkmoth dropped the moniker as a small panel lowered behind him, revealing a very concerned Nathalie.
"Gabriel!" cried the assistant. "You need to hurry right now!" The villain growled as he turned towards the woman.
"I told you to leave me be, Nathalie! My greatest achievement is nearly at hand, and I cannot be interrupted by any trivial…" His words were cut off as Nathalie stomped her foot.
"Adrien's run away!" This revelation caused all aggression in the man's face to drop as his eyes widened from the shock. "His window is wide open and I can't find him anywhere! He's out there in the middle of this madness!" Hawkmoth's face hardened into one of parental fury as he clenched his fists.
"Nooroo: Dark Wings Fall!" The magical energy of the Miraculous washed over him as he returned to being a normal man. Gabriel Agreste was a very tall, middle-aged man whose skin tone is fair with a rosy tint. He had pale, one visible light grayish cerulean eye, and combed-back gray hair. He was wearing a white eyepatch over the eye that was injured during the Holy Rocker incident, a black framed silver monocle, a white high collar dress shirt underneath a medium gray striped vest with red buttons, a cream-colored dress jacket without buttons, a red and white-striped ascot tie used to cover the Butterfly Miraculous, red dress pants and a pair of white dress shoes with black soles and red shoelaces. On the middle finger of his left hand was a silver wedding band.
The man growled as he nodded his head. "Call Adrien's bodyguard. Have him bring the limo around. When I find Adrien, he'll never see the light of day again!" He quickly joined Nathalie on the platform, the assistant sending him a conflicted frown as the contraption raised them into the mansion above.
Back at the battle, Verregnée was having a hard time looking for a new advantage over the heroes. They kept her occupied with no relent, seeming to take a form of satisfaction in hurting her. She used all of her eyes to scan over the area as she jumped from building to building, only to grin as something caught her eye. She had to time this just right, otherwise it'd be game over. She put her plan into action as she looked back at the approaching group.
"You heroes really are pathetic!" cried Verregnée. "Even working together you can't stop me! You're supposed to be this city's saviors? All of your efforts will be for naught as I make this city mine and take my prize for myself!" Ladybug growled as she flung herself forwards with her yoyo, moving at a high speed.
"Not if I can help it!" cried the ladybug hero. Verregnée practically leapt into the path of the girl, taking the flying kick head on. She positioned her body in a specific way, something that immediately gave Danny a bad feeling. He soon realized what was in the direction the villainess had shifted her body towards, his eyes widening. He had no time to stop what was soon to pass as the now shattering Verregnée went flying across the sky.
"Ladybug!" cried the ghost hero. "Catch her quickly!" Marinette quickly realized her blunder as she landed on a nearby rooftop, quickly flinging her yoyo at the villainess. She was just short of getting a good hold, however, as the part she tried to snag broke off. Verregnée laughed maniacally as she soared closer and closer to her desired destination, watching as the heroes tried to keep up.
"You're such an idiot, Ladybug! You've given me an undeniable advantage! Thanks to you, I'll have more than enough glass to grow beyond you puny insects!" She closed her eyes as she crashed into the building with quite possibly the most glass in all of Paris: the Louvre. The heroes landed on the nearest rooftop to the museum, the ground shaking. All across the city, glass webs shattered and flew towards their creator.
The glass of the Louvre rose from the building, stretching and breaking in part. All of the glass in the city converged on the now massive figure, Verregnée laughing as she now towered at the same height as the Eiffel Tower. "VENGEANCE WILL BE MINE! BOW, PARIS, BEFORE YOUR GODDESS!"
The box in the middle of her chest jostled and shook as the cracks produced purple smoke. The object flung open, releasing every remaining teardrop inside. Verregnée opened her mouth to allow the objects to fly out. Each and every one of them turned into an akuma of the past, Gorizilla landing with a thud as he stood tall. Chat Noir gulped as he took a few steps backwards.
"Um… now would be a good time for a Lucky Charm," stated the cat hero. He gained no response from Ladybug, causing the group to look her way. "My Lady?" One look at the lead hero's face showed the distress and anxiety she was dealing with. Verregnée pointed to the heroes as the statues turned to face them.
"NOW DO YOU SEE HOW HOPELESS YOUR SITUATION IS!? I AM BEYOND ANYTHING YOU WILL EVER FACE! YOU CREATED THE MONSTER THAT I HAVE BECOME, LADYBUG! HAND OVER YOUR MIRACULOUS, AND I MIGHT JUST MAKE YOUR END QUICK AND PAINLESS!" Ladybug couldn't take the pressure anymore as she fell to her knees, the weight of the world practically crushing her.
"What have I done?" questioned the bug hero. "If I had just dealt with Lila sooner, we wouldn't be in this situation. Now all of Paris is doomed! I…I…" Verregnée relished in the feeling of her enemy's despair as she began to laugh, only for Chat Noir to take a step forward.
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH, YOU FILTHY LIAR!" roared the feline hero. Everyone looked at him for this outburst, surprised by his rage. "You were a monster long before you dirtied Paris with your presence! Don't you dare blame others for what you are, especially someone as kind as Ladybug!" Honey Bee soon joined him as she held her spinning top in hand.
"Chat Noir is right!" cried the bee themed hero. "You don't deserve to go around claiming that you're the victim when you literally did this to yourself! Your evil has finally been brought to life, and now it's up to us to bring you in. We'll do it together, including Ladybug!" Danny summoned his whole ice arsenal behind him as he crossed his arms.
"You are among one of the few kinds of people that actually disgust me, Cerise Grazia," informed the ghost boy. "You're unable to do anything for yourself despite being capable of amazing things, preferring to harm others. You will lie to your very soul if it means that you can get what you want. This is more than just a team; it's a clan of warriors ready to fight for the good of others because it's the right thing. I may not be here all of the time, but I will help this city as much as I need to."
Danny held out his hand to Marinette, a determined smirk on his face. The local heroine sniffled a bit as she allowed the visitor to help her up. Chat and Honey Bee stood on either side of the duo, their weapons at the ready. "If you want the Miraculous so badly, come and take them." Verregnée growled as she pushed the Gorizilla statue to move towards the group.
"DON'T JUST STAND THERE YOU OAF!" roared the spider villainess. "SQUASH THEM TO GET THIS OVER WITH!" The huge statue ape quickly stomped over as if to display its dominance, the smaller statues below moving out of the way. The heroes prepared themselves for the massive fist the being was winding up, only for the sound of gunshots to ring through the air. Red Hood was standing in front of the crowd, firing his weapons in order to chip into the massive ape statue.
"And I thought Gorilla Grod was an ugly ape!" roared the second bat-son. He continued to fire at the creature as it changed direction towards him. Another individual threw some birdarangs from the nearby rooftops, hitting the beast in the eye as the weapons exploded. He was wearing a black and red suit with an orange "R" on the left pectoral area. It looked like it was made from a bullet-resistant material similar to Kevlar, but stronger and more breathable. He also wore black bandoleers that crossed over his chest, a golden utility belt at his waist, and a smooth black cowl that led to a black cape.
This was Tim Drake as his alter ego, the Red Robin. He watched as the shards fell to the ground and shattered into tiny fractals. He quickly pulled out a grappling hook in order to zipline to another rooftop, avoiding the smashing fist of the akuma.
"Cyborg, now!" ordered Red Robin. He landed on the rooftop just as the massive ape construct turned to attack again. Before it could, Starfire came flying in while carrying Victor like a puppy. She quickly threw the robot man at the construct, the living machine rearing his arm back. The Gorizilla statue had no time to properly react as its head was shattered into hundreds of pieces, Cyborg using its body as a way to safely reach the ground before it shattered.
"Booyah!" cried Victor. "Now that's how we do things back in Jump City!" Danny grinned at the arrivals while the Miraculous Heroes gawked in shock. Beastboy flew in as a pterodactyl, turning back as he landed. Raven stepped out of a shadowy portal while Robin slowly used his jetpack to descend to the ground.
"Sorry for being late to the party," apologized a familiar voice. Phantom and the Miraculous Heroes turned towards the owner of the voice, Nightwing standing with his tonfas at the ready. "We had to make sure the civilians could get to safety. I hope you don't mind if the Titans and company lend a helping hand in your city." Marinette smiled at the bit of humor attempted by Nightwing, only to frown as she heard Verregnée roar in anger.
"YOU HEROIC FREAKS ARE COMING OUT OF THE WOODWORKS!" roared the spider villainess. "IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY LOSERS YOU THROW AT ME! I'M THE STRONGEST AKUMA IN EXISTENCE WITH AN ARMY AT MY DISPOSAL! DO YOU HONESTLY THINK A GROUP CAN TAKE ON THE MIGHT OF MY ARMY!?" Her question was answered as Bunnyx hopped out of a portal next to the heroes, surprising everyone but Dick.
"If this were the normal timeline I'd say yes," revealed the bunny themed hero. "Just in case something big has changed, I've brought some friends in to help." Ladybug grinned at the sight of the heroine.
"Bunnyx!" cheered the main hero. The only thing the bunny girl did in response to the acknowledgement of her identity was snap her fingers. A portal opened beside her, allowing an African-French boy with light brownish gray hair that was braided in multiple locks that were tied back with a black headband, as well as a black pair of sunglasses that had five consecutive green dots along the bottom right corner. He was wearing a deep brown high-mandarin-collared full-body outfit with multiple grayish tangelo outlines, dark grayish vermilion bracelets and anklets that had wings on them, and a small, light gray horseshoe on his chest. The hero grabbed a horseshoe from his back as he aimed for the space to his left.
"Greetings all," greeted the horse themed hero. "I am Pegasus: Wielder of the Horse Miraculous. Witness the power of Voyage!" He soon opened a large portal in front of him, the other side seeming to hold the location of several individuals. Purple Tigress was the first to step through as the new arrivals decided to make an entrance.
She was followed by several other heroes, each one being a Miraculous holder. Several familiar faces were seen in the crowd, like Carapace and Ryuko. Both individuals brought a smile to Chat's face, the duo being people he had not seen in a while now. Soon every temporary Miraculous Wielder stepped through the portal, the circle closing in response. Danny's eyes glowed as he seemed to get a familiar feeling from Purple Tigress.
"Jules?" questioned the ghost hero. It was clear that his girlfriend heard him, the tigress hero sending a flirty wink his way. As this exchange occurred, Ladybug looked over all of the faces before her. She soon noticed the absence of Rena Rouge, the form Alya took when using the Fox Miraculous, though she was partially grateful for it. She quickly spotted the Fox Miraculous in the crowd, though the user was drastically different.
This fox wielder had long strawberry-blonde hair and fair skin. Her head was covered by a fox head based helmet with breathing holes at the lips, reminiscent of those heroes from those Super Sentai anime Adrien would sometimes mention during lunch period. The hero's outfit consisted of a full-body orange leotard with a white stripe down the front, a gray cloak with a hood that covered the ears of her helmet, a black belt that had white cloths running down towards her knees and a loop for her flute, and black combat boots with claw decals. This hero looked like she meant business, carrying a more serious aura than Rena Rouge before her. Ladybug wanted to ask about her, only for Bunnyx to stand in her way.
"Everyone here headed the call to action because I said you needed help. Everyone is here because the team that you started inspired hope in their hearts. Without you being Ladybug, you being you, none of this would have been possible." Ladybug did her best to fight the tears that were forming in her eyes, quickly wiping them away before they could make a full appearance. The touching moment was once again cut off as Verregnée let loose a mad cackle.
"YOU IDIOTS!" cried the liar. "YOU JUST HAND DELIVERED EVERY MIRACULOUS IN PARIS STRAIGHT TO ME! IF I WERE TO USE THEM ALL AT ONCE, I COULD REWRITE THE UNIVERSE! YOU HEROES REALLY KNOW HOW TO MESS UP SO BADLY, DON'T YOU!?" The question made Ladybug's eyes widen as she looked at her hands, contemplating the answer.
"Messing up is just part of life, isn't it?" questioned the main hero of Paris. Everyone looked her way as she walked closer to her enemy, her voice seeming to carry across all of Paris. "Hero, villain, soldier, citizen, even animals. No matter how hard we try, there will always be a time where we make mistakes. Some people are able to pick themselves up and start again like nothing happened while others struggle to deal with the pressure of failure."
Ladybug couldn't help but chuckle as she shook her head. "It's honestly your only admirable trait, Cerise. You fail to succeed in your lies or to hurt those that wrong you, and you continue to get back up to make a new plan. If you weren't such a monster, I'd say it's inspiring. No matter how hard you try, however, there's one thing I don't think you're ever going to succeed at." Verregnée growled as she leaned forwards to get a closer look of her hated enemy.
"Oh? And what's that, Lady-brat!?" In response to the question, Ladybug gestured to the huge group of heroes that stood behind her with their eyes fixated on the army.
"You'll never be able to make real, genuine relationships. Everything you do is built on lies, even going as far as to lie to yourself about who you are. You've made so many fake faces that you don't have a single person who is genuinely ready to defend you. That's why you really need all of these glass puppets, to fill the empty hole that you've left in your real heart. You ran from who you really are long ago, and it's made you into both a monster and a coward."
Verregnée growled in rage at this insult, her fists cracking as she clenched them. Ladybug decided to continue, unaware of the glow beginning to emanate from the corners of her eyes. "I now understand what it means to spread yourself so thin that you lose sight of which part of you is real. You know what I say to that?" Ladybug threw her arm to the side, a small shockwave emitting from the motion.

Ladybug quickly put her other hand where her heart was as she glared into her enemy's eyes. "I say to heck with the separation! I choose to be myself no matter who I need to be in life! That means no more letting people like you walk all over the people I care about! With or without the mask, I. AM. LADYBUG!"
The heroine suddenly leapt high into the air, creating a trail of red light. Three gold rings appeared in a sequence, power glowing from the red symbols running along them. Honeybee's eyes widened as she recognized the rings.
"Awakening," gasped Chloe. "Ladybug's undergoing an awakening!" As she said this, Marinette passed through the first ring. The girl's hair ties broke as her hair curled itself into a stylish bun. A bright light passed over her chest, forming into a red breastplate with a black ladybug symbol on the front.
She flew through the next ring, her suit turning black as the back of her new armor opened up to reveal wings much like the animal of her namesake. Red gauntlets and boots soon joined this change, white gemstones in the back of the gauntlets. Ladybug finally passed through the last ring, causing her mask to expand and black polka dots to pop up all over her red armor. Ladybug flew around in an infinity loop before performing a flying kick as a new Ladybug logo manifested behind her. Chat Noir couldn't help but whistle at the sight.

"Sweet!" cried the cat hero. He suddenly pouted as he slouched forwards. "But now I'm the only permanent holder without an awakening." His pouting was only answered by Ryuko rubbing his back. This action made him purr, the boy leaning into the feeling. Ladybug was now floating at eye level with Verregnée, her eyes still glowing with the Power of Creation.
"Cerise Grazia, it's time to end this war between us!" declared the newly awakened hero. "You wanted a fight, now you've got one!" Verregnée grinned evilly as she pointed to the group.
"DESTROY THEM ALL!" ordered the spider villainess. "LEAVE LADYBUG TO ME!" The statues suddenly rushed forwards, some letting loose screeches that sounded like scraping glass. Ladybug immediately allowed her yoyo to roll out, quickly spinning it at such a high speed that it seemed to be creating an air current. She suddenly slung it around, striking Verregnée in the face and sending the monster stumbling back a bit.
"Keep them away from the Akuma shelters!" ordered Marinette. "Charge!" The Miraculous wielders leapt into action, the more combat focused ones already drawing their weapons. Nightwing looked towards his team and his brothers, noticing their inaction. He attached both his tonfas to where they made a staff before pointing to the enemies.
"You heard her!" cried the lead American hero. "Titans, go!" Beastboy cracked his knuckles before turning into a tyrannosaurus rex, letting loose a mighty roar as he rushed forwards. The others soon followed suit, the ones capable of flight taking to the air. Both sides drew closer and closer until they finally clashed, Cyborg making the first hit as he punched what looked like a bulky werewolf in the face.
All over the battlefield heroes could be found fighting statues that were close in skillset to their own. Even the members of the Parisian heroes found themselves fighting the akumatized versions of themselves. The Ox Miraculous hero used his hammer to bash in the head of a golem, the Mouse hero weaved through different fights like she was scared of a goofy looking monster until two more of her suddenly used jump ropes to shatter its body, and several more examples of people defeating their evil mirrors. Purple Tigress found herself in a close quarter match with a glass statue that looked like a clown, her own Akuma known as Reflekta. She grunted as she began a push match with the figure.
"Please tell me Hawkmoth did not make me look like a clown," pleaded the tiger hero. She took a moment to push the image back, watching as it caught itself. She then pulled out her bola and whipped it at the statue, shattering it in an instant. "I never thought I could look so ugly." She heard a roar behind her, causing her to turn around.
The statue of what looked like a Pharaoh was charging towards her, a helmet resembling a ram depicted on its head. She prepared to strike this one too, only for the statue of a witch to be thrown into it. Both enemies shattered upon impact, an ice blade sticking out of the ground. She looked up as Phantom rushed down with a small glass robot in his hand. He smashed it into the ground before looking towards his girlfriend.
"If you ask me, you made his stupid outfit look good," reassured Danny. "Are we gonna talk about why my girlfriend turned into the persona of her username?" Juleka smirked as she whipped her bola towards her boyfriend. He quickly dodged, allowing her to snap the neck of a glass figure that looked a lot like Gabriel Agreste. Danny turned toward her with gratitude on his mind, only to blush as the tiger hero was now close enough to where her chest was squishing against his.
"Later. Right now, go be a hero." Juleka leapt back as quickly as she closed the space between herself and Phantom. She wrapped her weapon around her waist once more before leaping at a villain replica like a cat. Danny nodded his head slowly as he called the ice blade that was stuck to the ground to his hand.
"Okay." The boy quickly shook his head before taking off into the air again. He flew past Ryuko, the dragon hero caught in a three vs 1 sword match. She was currently staring down two versions of herself and one large black knight figure. She parried the first two attacks, only for the knight to quickly drive his sword towards her.
"Wind Dragon!" cried Ryuko. She suddenly turned into a cloud as she flew through the attack. She then used a strong wind to send the villain flying towards Red Hood, the violent hero quickly noticing this as he used a few bullets to shatter the knight to pieces. Ryuko looked to her right as a scream was heard. She noticed that the Pig Miraculous Wielder had just shattered a duplicate of a girl with a perfume bottle, only for a figure of Stormy Weather to hold her at umbrella point. Ryuko noticed a water fountain nearby, quickly getting an idea. "Water Dragon!"
She then turned into water before gesturing sharply towards herself. The water of the fountain suddenly rose before enveloping the villainess statue. She then used it to lift the figure into the air before slamming it back down, smashing it in an instant. The Rooster Miraculous wielder quickly ran over to help the pig wielder quickly get back up, the duo running for the next enemy. Ryuko smiled at this, only to dodge just in time as two blades nearly removed her head from her shoulders.
She turned around as her two glass duplicates were ready to tear into her. "A warrior who cannot defeat herself is unbalanced. I will show you that my mother raised a true warrior, for better or worse. Thunder Dragon!" Ryuko turned into a being of lightning, energy crackling through her.
The glass enemies tried to cut through her, only for their blades to melt from the heat. The girl then held her hand up before snapping her finger. This caused bolts of lightning to come down from the sky, striking the statues and shattering them. Her ability seemed to run out as she returned to normal. She was about to move on when something wrapped around her neck.
She was lifted into the air before being turned around, met with what appeared to be a chef akuma with a bigger glass sword. The villain was about to cut into her, only for a familiar fist to crash through its chest. Chat Noir pulled back his strike, causing the figure to shatter into pieces.
"No one lays a hand on ma cherie," grumbled the feline hero. Ryuko took a few deep breaths before nodding to her lover. They ran off together as the number of enemies around them began to shrink. Several people had to dodge out of the way as the massive legs of Verregnée came crashing down, the villainess focusing all of her attention on Ladybug. Said heroine took another strike at her opponent, to slide back as the yoyo caused one of her eyes to shatter to pieces.
Ladybug then spun the yoyo in front of her, creating a strong wind current that continued to push the monster backwards. Several glass shards that loosely remained in the body of Cerise broke away from the pressure. The pig hero suddenly rushed forward with the rooster hero not far behind her. He pulled out a small quill as he began to write in midair. He smirked as he put the object away.
"I, Rooster Bold, give Pigella the power to shatter any leg she hits!" cried the newly dubbed Rooster Bold. "Go for it!" This news made the pig girl roar as what looked like an innocent face was twisted in fury.
"LILA!" cried Pigella. "I MADE A PROMISE! SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR KNEECAPS!" The pig hero suddenly punched at the massive leg of the spider woman, causing it to break into a million pieces with an orange glow. Verregnée actually cried out in shock as she was suddenly made to lower her body.
"YOU BRAT!" cried the spider villainess. She lowered another leg to smash the pink superhero, only for a punch to cause that ligament to shatter as well. Verregnée was forced to make herself smaller to grow back new legs. "LET'S SEE HOW YOU INSECTS LIKE BEING BROKEN!" She then began to continuously crash her legs towards the ground in hopes of squashing everyone beneath her.
The heroes had to scatter as she began to destroy anything below her, including her own statues. She laughed like a madwoman as she relished in the destruction she was causing. Nightwing, Phantom, and Ladybug quickly gathered together as the other heroes ran towards them.
"Now would be a good time to use that Lucky Charm," suggested Danny.
"You know, before she destroys everything and everyone in Paris." Marinette quickly opened her yoyo before throwing it into the air.
"Lucky Charm!" cried the ladybug hero. A much larger swarm than before left her weapon as it began to construct something. The object finally took form, falling towards its creator's hands. She quickly took a look at it, only for her brow to quirk in confusion. "A glass box?" Nightwing knocked on the object a few times, humming in response.
"Acrylic, actually," corrected the first son of Batman. "At least she can't control it." Danny looked towards the others with a deep frown.
"Keep Verregnée busy," ordered the ghost hero. "We'll try to figure out what to do together." The hero group nodded before turning back to the monster that was running their way. The crowd was led by Chat Noir as they began to focus on Verregnée. Ladybug hummed as she looked over the box.
"It's pretty obvious that we have to swap this box for the other one," began Marinette. "All we have to do is find a way to make her think that she has the right one." She tried looking at the box and looking around, but the only thing to get the usual polka dot treatment was the box. "I don't know what I'm missing." Nightwing hummed as he looked around, soon having his own vision rest on how a piece of her glass had yet to be recalled.
"Looks like she has to give up mass if she loses glass," stated the Gothamite in observation. "If we can get her to a more manageable size, we might be able to trap her inside the acrylic box instead of using it for a swap." Danny looked over to the battle, trying to think of a way to add to this conversation. An idea just went off in his head as he saw everyone's weapons gain an eerie green glow with a red face in the center. He grinned as he nodded his head.
"Guess that leaves us only one option," declared Phantom. He suddenly took off for the battlefield, Ladybug and Nightwing following behind. The ghost boy reached the area first as everyone fighting at the moment was on the defensive. "New orders! Mess this Vrăjitoare up!" Verregnée blinked a few times in response to this idea, feeling the weight of everyone's eyes on her.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN DESTROY ME!?" cried the villainess. "YOU AIN'T GOT THE NERVE TO…" Her outcry of power was interrupted as Pigella resumed the prior action of destroying her legs. Without her appendages to keep her up, the body of Verregnée came hurtling towards the ground. Carapace ran forwards as he raised a shield above his head, grunting as the monster drew closer.
"SHELL-TER!" cried the turtle hero. He ended up creating an indestructible force field, protecting himself and the ones unable to do much damage as the bottom of the spider body shattered upon impact. The more damage dealing heroes rushed in as they did their best to break the body of the villainess. Verregnée roared in anger as she tried to shrink herself once more. This proved to be a bad idea as she found herself undergoing even more punishment.
Soon she was back to her normal size, clutching her chest area as the akumatized box remained empty and powerless. She finally found time to jump away from the group, sticking to a nearby wall. She coughed as the energy was starting to get to her.
"You… You think this is over!?" cried the villainess. "I'll just get more glass or become a different akuma if I have to! Until I get what I want, no one will win! I'll be back!" She then fired her web, actually catching one of the heroes with it.
She then made a run for it, huffing as fast as she could. If she could make it to the city limits, she'd be home free. Perhaps she could pay Adrien a visit. Before she could get much further, she realized that the locations were on loop. "What the…"
She felt a pain in her chest, looking down to see a clawed hand holding the akumatized box. She looked back to come face to face with the fox hero. There was a low breathing noise coming from the individual, actually scaring the villain.
"Next time, don't mess with my friends," growled the fox hero. She walked away from the villainess as she tossed the box up and down, ignoring how the individual was fixing to hit her. "Finish it." Lila looked confused by the order, only to look up towards the sky. Phantom took a deep breath before unleashing a massive wail that forced everyone to cover their ears.
Verregnée found herself turned into miniature pieces as her entire glass being was torn asunder. She turned to the size of a beetle in order to escape her fate, only to be grabbed in the acrylic box by Nightwing. Phantom's wail finally ended as he took a deep breath, lowering down to Tigress's awaiting arms. Ladybug floated down to the area, rubbing the boy's shoulder. Nightwing glared at the confused and scared akuma in the slightly translucent container.
"Cerise Grazia, you are under arrest," revealed the Gothamite. While he could not hear her cries of defeat, Nightwing actually enjoyed how Verregnée was yelling angrily as she tried to break through the acrylic. He then sent a smirk to the others, Chat Noir holding the box in hand. The cat hero held the object out to Ladybug, a smirk on his face,
"Care to do the honors?" offered Chat Noir. His partner nodded as she received the box from him. She dropped it on the ground before using her yoyo to smash it to pieces.
"No more evil doing for you, Cerise," stated Ladybug. She spun her yoyo around like usual before lobbing it at the slowly rising butterfly. She hit the creature before it could try to run, capturing it within. She pulled the weapon back towards her, catching it in her palm. "Gotcha!"
Marinette quickly opened the yoyo, allowing the white butterfly to flutter away. "Bye-bye little butterfly." Nightwing immediately opened the lucky charm, tossing Verregnée onto the ground. A dark mist formed over her, returning her to normal both in size and in appearance. The hero then tossed the object to its creator as Cerise looked up.
"What… what happened?" questioned the villain. She looked around, realizing all of the glares the heroes were sending her way. She quickly realized what had happened: she had lost. "No… NO-NO-NO-NO! CURSE YOU ALL!" Ladybug rolled her eyes with a groan.
"Give it a rest, Cerise. Your days of making trouble are over." Marinette suddenly launched the Lucky Charm high into the sky. "Miraculous Ladybug!" The box erupted into a massive swarm that seemed to wash over the entire city.
Instead of flying around and fixing things individually, the ladybug quickly crawled over everything to fix the damage that was done. Once that was complete, the bugs flew in a spiral towards the sky where they dissipated. The whole group let loose whooping cheers, save for those who were too tired to make such a noise. Ladybug, Nightwing and Phantom looked at each other with small smiles. The feeling of the air around them faded as Cerise began another crazy laugh.
"You think this is over?" questioned the liar. "I have diplomatic immunity! I can escape this by playing the victim! If that doesn't work, I'll start all over again! No amount of good in this world will ever stop me from getting what I…!" Her words were cut by the sound of a car door slamming.
"LILA ROSSI!" cried a familiar voice. Cerise slowly turned around, being met with Mrs. Rossi. She was definitely not happy, but it was the woman that exited from the other side of the limo that scared her more. The second woman looked so much like the liar that they could be mistaken for siblings. This was her real mother, and the makeup stains from the tears she was crying told her she was screwed.
"Mami?" questioned Cerise. She didn't get much time to speak as the angry Italian woman ran over to her while shouting many things in her native tongue. Adrien covered his mouth at some of the things said, really wishing he didn't take that Italian course during his homeschooling. Mrs. Grazia went back to crying as the driver of the limo took her back to the vehicle, Mrs. Rossi quickly stomping past them with anger in her eyes.
"You lied to me this whole time!" roared the embassy woman. "You lied about your family, your grades, and your illnesses! Do you realize how much money I had to spend for those nannies! I nearly lost my job from everything you did! And now I hear you're working with the most hated terrorist in all of Paris!?"
Cerise tried to get in some words, only for Mrs. Rossi to grab her by her arm. "You don't get to talk! You are being deported back to Italy, where you will be tried as a criminal and returned to your family, if they even want you! You'll never be leaving Italy ever again! I will not allow you to smear my family name any longer!" Cerise fought back as she tried to run, police cars coming to a halt in front of them.
"No! Let me go! I was manipulated! Don't send me back to those horrible people! Momma!" Mrs. Rossi handed the child over to the police, heaving as she felt tears start to pour down her face.
"I will hear no more of your lies. I have no daughter. Take her away." Officer Raincomprix quickly cuffed Lila, shoving her into the back of the police car. The villainess roared in anger as the vehicle drove away.
No one dared to celebrate as Mrs. Rossi began to break down at the side of the road. Chat and Nightwing were the first to run over to her, doing their best to comfort her. Bunnyx looked at her watch before nodding to the temporary heroes.
"Alright!" cried the bunny girl. "Time for all of the temp heroes to return home. I'll collect your Miraculous from you as soon as you get back." She pressed her watch several times, creating multiple holes in time. Purple Tigress squeezed Phantom's hand with a small smile.
"I'll see you before you have to leave," promised the tiger heroine. Danny nodded as he allowed his girlfriend to jump into the hole. Soon the only people left were the American heroes and the Miraculous Heroes. Soon, after Mrs. Rossi and Mrs. Grazia were helped to the limo to take them away, the heroes dispersed. Marinette quickly landed at the school, taking a deep breath as she de-transformed.
"That was a lot, Tikki," admitted the bakers' daughter. "I'm glad Lila's gone, but I hope her family isn't hurt by her crimes. Mrs. Rossi seemed like a nice woman while Mrs. Grazia looked heartbroken. Maybe there's more that I could have done to help ease their pain." The ladybug Kwami smiled softly as she rubbed against her holder.
"You did everything you could do, Marinette," reassured the little creature. "You can't solve every problem just because you awakened your inner power. Everything is in the hands of the universe now. All you can do now is move on as who you are." Marinette smiled as she nodded her head.
"You're right, Tiki. Let's get back to school." Tiki quickly flew back into the bag as Marinette walked towards the school. She saw the others running to the building, worried expressions on their faces. She was about to wave at them, only for her eyes to widen as she noticed someone else in the distance.
She watched as Adrien ran towards the school, a full book bag slung over his back. "Adrien?... ADRIEN!" The whole class came to a stop as they saw the boy run across the road. He was nearly to the entrance of the school when his father's limo pulled up behind him, the man himself stepping out of the vehicle.
"Adrien!" cried Gabriel. "You come here this instant!" The blonde boy skidded to a stop, his fists clenched in anger.
"Don't try and stop me, Father," growled the young man. "I'm going back to DuPont, where I actually feel like I can be myself." The famous designer growled as he walked towards his son.
"Enough of your childishness! As your father I demand that you…" Adrien turned towards his father, rage written on his face.
"Some father you are!" Gabriel was taken aback by this outburst, actually taking a step back. "You hole yourself away in your office to where I barely even get to see you, I have to find out that you injured yourself from Nathalie and you STILL didn't want to see me, you listened to and trusted a criminal before your own son! I bet you haven't even heard about how Lila was actually an agent of Hawkmoth!"
Gabriel grunted at this, trying his best not to show his particular anger towards that detail. Adrien put his hand on his chest as he gestured to the building behind him. "Even now you still believe her words about this place. You wanna know what this school is? You wanna know the influence it and its students have had on me?"
The boy then crossed his arms as he looked down. "I've learned so much about how the world really works. I've learned how to care for myself in the home-ec classes, learned to socialize and read people from those who I happily call my friends, and in the end it led me to find a girl I love more than anyone I've ever met. What part of that remotely sounds horrible?" Gabriel tried to find the words to argue with his son, but surprisingly found himself lacking in said department.
Adrien held his hands together in a pleading fashion, actually getting down on his knees for it. "Father, please, just let me have my life back. I want to spend time with my friends, go on dates with Kagami, and learn so much about the world that I can't get from my prison cell of a room. Don't I deserve the same happiness that everyone else does?" Gabriel looked to the ground, thinking over everything that was said.
"Sir," interrupted Nathalie. Gabriel looked back, noticing that the woman and even Adrien's bodyguard were giving him a barely noticeable pleading look. The designer sighed as he looked to his son.
"I promised your mother that I would keep you safe," began the hidden villain. "I gave you everything a boy your age could ask for in an attempt to give you happiness in her absence. Now I see that I have denied you something your mother would have given you if she were here; freedom." Adrien's eyes widened, surprised by this admission from his father. The class watched from the front of the school with bated breath, having a hard time believing it themselves.
Gabriel turned to Nathalie with an unreadable expression. "Nathalie, clear Adrien's schedule for the rest of the day. If you can't cancel, have them move it back." The woman nodded, quickly getting to work. With how fast she was working, it was as if she was a woman possessed.
Gabriel then returned his attention to his son with a softer, remorseful expression. "We will discuss this at home. After the school hour is over… you may meet with your friends under the watch of your bodyguard. I nearly lost you to this dreadful akuma attack and…" The man was suddenly tackled into a hug, Adrien hiding his tears against his chest.
"Thank you father!" cried the boy. "Thank you!" The way his son responded to this new level of freedom hurt Gabriel more than he would care to admit. The sound of the class's cheers caught the father son duo's attention, Kim whistling in excitement. Gabriel guided his son back to the limo, hoping that this would be the end of their drama.
Meanwhile, with Cerise, she was waiting in the back of the police car of Officer Raincomprix. He had to step out to deliver a speeding ticket to a dangerous driver, leaving her alone. She discreetly began to jiggle her arms, trying to find a way to get her wrists free of the handcuffs. She had one more backup plan in kind. This one would put every other plan to shame…
"Little did she know that her place in this story had reached its end," stated a rather familiar and charming voice, though not familiar to Lila. The girl jerked her view up from her struggling, surprised by what she was seeing. In the front seat of the car sat what looked like a humanoid cat that had ink dripping from his ears. He looked back at her, revealing piercing golden eyes. She squirmed back into her seat, frightened by the creature's appearance.
"Who… who are you!?" cried the LiAr. "Wh…what are you!?" The feline wrote her words down in a small book beside him as he chuckled.
"I go by many names. Friends call me Ink. You may call me the author. I've seen what you have planned and I gotta say, that's not part of the program." Lila shuffled closer to the door, only to see that the door handle had been ERAseD.
The stranger snapped his fingers, allowing several strange lights to float into existence. "You've been a naughty girl, trying to go beyond your place in this story. That kind of crime, especially the intent behind it, cannot go UNPUNISHED. SO I ASKED SOME FRIENDS OF A REVIEWER TO TAKE CARE OF YOU, TO MAKE SURE YOU LEARN YOUR PLACE IN THIS WORLD AND STAY THERE." Lila began to squeal as several gnawing mouths and slitted eyes looked her way.
INK waved to the beings as his element began to swirl around him. "REMEMBER BOYS, SHE HAS TO LIVE TO ACCEPT HER PLACE IN THIS WORLD. OTHER THAN THAT, HAVE FUN." The creature left in a sudden plop of ink, leaving no signs of his existence. Lila screamed bloody murder as the lights converged on her. By the time Officer Raincomprix returned, Lila was sleeping like nothing had ever happened.
Paris Airport
Danny sighed, watching as his parents loaded several pieces of technology and souvenirs onto the scanning belt for the airport. It had been several hours since the defeat of Cerise Grazia, and already the boy's good mood was ruined. He had caught his parents preparing to trap the Miraculous Heroes, believing that he was influencing them somehow. Not wanting to be banned from his girlfriend's home, he decided to pull the plug on his vacation. Thus his parents were now chasing Phantom back over the ocean to the US.
"They always have to find some way to ruin a good thing," grumbled the ghost boy. "I didn't even get to say goodbye to everyone in person." Jazz stood next to him, her own bags in hand.
"Yeah well, you did the right thing in the end," reassured the redhead. "There'll be plenty more chances to see Juleka again, and I have a feeling that 'Phantom' will be making appearances in Paris from here on." Danny nodded, accepting his sister's words. They were about to move forward in line when the doors for the airport burst open. Danny looked towards the area, his eyes widening as Juleka huffed and puffed.
"Danny!" cried the girl. She quickly ran his way, the boy depositing his bags with his sister before rushing towards her as well. Jazz grumbled about being turned into a pack mule, but seeing her brother hug his girlfriend was enough of a reward for her. Juleka looked up from the hug, looking straight into Danny's eyes. "When I saw your text I couldn't let you leave without saying goodbye." The ghost boy smiled as he nodded his head.
"I'm glad I get to see you before I'm dragged onto the plane back to Amity," admitted the young Fenton. "My folks really want to catch Phantom, even after all of the good he did." Juleka pushed off him a bit as she sent a smile up at him.
"Well no ghost is going to keep me from my guy. You better believe that." The girl's words made Danny blush as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I definitely will. I have a fiery girlfriend who threw a ball at an akuma to try and save me. I'm sure there isn't anything you can't do." Juleka's smile dipped at these words, something Danny quickly caught. She looked down nervously as she tapped the tips of her toes together.
"There's one thing I don't know if I can do. If I don't do it soon, I don't know if I'll ever be able to." Danny grinned at this explanation, tilting his girlfriend's head up slightly.
"Then do it. My Tigress can do anything or have anything she wants. All you have to do is go for it." Juleka smiled as her heartbeat increased. Feeling emboldened by her boyfriend's words, she suddenly took his lips in a kiss.
Jazz's eyes widened as she nearly dropped her own luggage onto the floor. She covered her mouth with her free hand as she tried not to make any noise. Maddie looked back from where she and Jack were pushing their invention towards the cargo plane, her eyes widening further than her daughter's.
"JACK!" cried Mrs. Fenton. She patted her husband's arm multiple times, causing him to groan from once again being assaulted. She quickly grabbed his jaw and turned him around, causing a huge grin to form on his face.
"YEAH DANNO!" cried Jack. "THAT'S MY BOY!" Having her fill, Juleka pulled back from the embrace. Danny's eyes fluttered open as he had a stupefied look on his face. His girlfriend took a few steps back as she held her hands in front of her mouth.
"Sois prudent, mon Fantôme," whispered Juleka as quietly as she could. (1) Danny tried to have a response, only for a bunch of unintelligible babblings to leave his mouth instead. Juleka couldn't help but giggle as the boy was unable to form a sentence. Jazz quickly walked over, shaking her brother to try and snap him from his trance. She was unable to do so, however, causing her to send Juleka a mischievous smirk.
"And you broke his brain," joked the redhead. "I'll get this goofball on the plane. I hope everything goes well at DuPont. Come on baby bro." Jazz began to pull Danny along, the boy looking like he continued to babble.
Juleka couldn't help but watch as the boy had to be guided to the plane door, his father asking him so many questions about what just happened. The local girl had a bigger pep in her step than ever before as she walked out of the building. She took a breath of the fresh air as she quickly turned a corner. Before she could even contemplate, opening her eyes, the fresh air suddenly smelled a lot more like burning candles. This was definitely not the road home.
She found herself in an apartment she did not recognize, different products used in massage services around the room. She turned back the way she came, only to watch as a time portal closed. The clearing of a throat caught her attention, causing her to slowly turn around. Sitting in the middle of the room was Master Fu, accompanied by Bunnyx and Ladybug. The old master smiled as he nodded his head.
"Hello, Purple Tigress," greeted Fu. "I've heard much about you. Have a seat."
