Hello everyone! It is time once again for the story of the MGG to continue! Last chapter was pretty interesting, so I hope this one will be able to excite you as well. There are some fun things planned for this one. Before we can even get to such plans, however, I have something to say.
I recently learned that Amity Park is, in fact, not in Illinois. It's actually in Minnesota apparently. I am continuing to have Amity Park be in Illinois for my stories due to how far along we are. I just felt better addressing it here so that the confusion can be avoided in other stories. Now that that's settled, time to answer some reviews.
LunarCouncillor: I'm not sure what you mean by all of that. I was just trying to work with the chapter and have a good story plot. I'm also lost by what you mean with that last sentence.
Fregreg: I'm glad that you liked it! I figured that, in this situation, friendly kidnapping would have helped in a story sense. Foreshadowing is very fun. I'm glad that you like his haircut!
RoosterCat: Settle down there, Buddy. Let's not murder fictional characters in their sleep, lol! It is indeed weird how Maddie is treating the thing with Danny's hair. You use that detective hat all you want. I'm sure it'll be a bit until you get something to really chew on. Then again, it probably won't be that long.
LtCmdrRadner: As the author I cannot take or deny any of those cookies as only I know the answer. You have started quite the bandwagon though, lol! You do have some intriguing ideas there.
darknessslayer: Yeah that probably tells you something about the growing state of Casper High's social hierarchy. It is interesting that it didn't affect him in any way other than damaging his scalp and hair. I'm glad you like how his hair turned out. He's giving Alya a chance because her honest answer earned it. No matter what her blog will be called, if she makes one, it would be interesting to see her get involved in the Vlad situation.
That is a very interesting idea with Marinette and Dick. They do indeed need to reach out to and help each other. Yet another person on the pen pal Jagged Stone train. We'll just see how that works out.
Duyade: I'm sorry, but I've made up my mind on pairings. I haven't really thought about how Zoey could become involved. Audrey really does need to suffer though.

Oracle: We're all taking it seriously, Bruce.
It's just… you never take yourself off patrols unless something serious has happened.

Your absence usually does not bode well unannounced, but announced is a whole different level.
AgentA: Are you feeling well, Master Bruce?
I can pick up any medication you need.
DarkKnight: I'm perfectly healthy.
A case I've been tracking for years has just had a huge break.
If I lose focus on it now then it may never be closed.
I need to give it my full attention.
As such, Project Gotham Knights is going in full effect.
Red Robin, I need you and Robin to take over the east and south sides of Gotham.
Batgirl will be taking the north side when she gets back, Green Arrow offering to do so for the time being.

Bat Cave, Gotham
Alfred made his way down the stairs of the cave, moving from platform to platform. He had a tray in hand, a pot of tea and a cup resting on top of it. He soon spotted the Bat Computer, the Caped Crusader himself sitting in front of it. The machine was running an algorithm of some form, a loading circle taking up the entire screen. He noticed a set of papers on a side table, identification papers to be precise.
"I do hope you remember to finish this for the young child Master Clark requested assistance for," stated the butler. "A dreadful situation that child has found herself in." Bruce didn't even look away from the screen as he kept his hands on the keyboard.
"The full copy is being finalized as we speak," revealed the Dark Knight. "Once it's finished a signature is needed. Tim will deliver it to the Kent Farm House once it's ready. My work here is too important." Alfred frowned at this as he set the tray in his hands on another table.
"Yes. Well, I hope you have time for a spot of tea. I made it just the way you like it. Bitter as the night with some sugar cubes in case you want to…" Bruce immediately shook his head in denial.
"Leave it there. I have to focus." This caused the butler to frown even deeper. It was never a good thing when Bruce became this obsessive over a case. Alfred was now at Batman's side as he looked at the hero.
"Master Bruce, you must take time to relax. You are likely to miss important details if you do not take time to find some peace in your life. You…" The computer suddenly let loose a chime, causing Bruce to sit up a bit. A high percentage appeared on the screen, the image upon a green background.
"Sample similarity, seventy five percent," declared the Batcomputer. "Sample within target range. Searching database for possible match." The computer ran another algorithm, this time cycling through multiple images of individuals and a DNA recording. Bruce leaned closer to the screen, his eyes narrowing.
He did not receive the outcome he wanted, the computer crying out in denial. "Error. No matching target found within geographical parameters. Partial matches: indeterminable." Bruce growled as he sat back in his seat.
"The contaminants must be so deeply rooted in his blood that he's registered differently by the system," hummed the hero. "Adding ectoplasm would only destroy the sample and make it unreadable. Whoever introduced it to his bloodstream must have considered DNA tracking. I'll have to go through each record individually, removing obvious instances beforehand. It could be months before…" Alfred scrunched his nose in fury at these words.
"Months!?" cried the butler. "If you are going to go months without proper bathing and skipping meals, then I demand to know what is going on. It is not healthy to put yourself through that much stress, Master Bruce. I…" A small door on the computer console opened, revealing a vial filled with blood. Bruce carefully pulled it out, making sure not to damage the glass or drop it as he displayed it to his butler.
"This blood sample came directly from Amity Park, Illinois. It belongs to a young male, late teens to be precise. Fieldwork researchers collected it not that long ago, putting it through testing here in Gotham. The blood was contaminated with ectoplasm but, upon removing the contaminate, it matched every parameter needed to be sent here to me." Alfred clenched his fists as he let a larger frown appear on his face.
"Master Bruce, you could not have gained that sample legally. You are seeking out a young youth who has likely done no wrong. Why on Earth would you risk Wayne Enterprises for the sake of…?" His question was answered as Bruce changed the visual to a different screen. The hero finally turned towards his butler with a frown of his own.
"Do you remember when I made this folder years ago? It was made for cases important to the different members of this family, starting with Dick when I adopted him. Almost every case in this folder has been solved, but one has eluded me ever since it was created. Do you remember that night at the circus, Alfred?" The renowned Agent A couldn't help but sigh as he nodded his head, the memories swiftly coming back to him.
"How could I forget? It was tragic to simplify it. A young boy losing his family in one night. Parents dead by the actions of a criminal, something we were both all too familiar with. Master Dick's siblings, disappearing without a…"
His eyes widened as he finally began to piece things together. "Master Bruce. You don't mean to tell me…" Bruce nodded his head, quickly displaying the "Birdwatch" folder. He then opened it, revealing the cropped out images of Donnell and Maria Grayson from Dick's picture.
"I've found him, Alfred." The image of Donnell gained a green rim around it, a new set of files opening. "I've found Donnell Grayson. Now I just have to find out who amongst Amity Park's populace he is. I can't step away from this for even a moment until I find the truth."
And that's the end of the chapter! Bruce goes on full alert mode, setting the rest of the Batfam up to look after Gotham in his place. He even goes as far as to call the League in and activate Harley Quinn as a member of his court. All of this in the name of finding Donnell Grayson, but who can that be? I think many people have pointed it out at this point, though we can always wait and see.
