I only own my OCs, I do not own Tess, Bentley, Carmelita, or any Van Helsing characters.
Nosfearatu watches as Igor reaches some parts of machinery, feeling he is getting ready, while Dracula was walking upside down on the rafters, so he won't be in the way of the dwerger. As they jabber, their vampire master shouts, "Let us begin!" The dwerger flips a switch, powering a machine more, then Dracula shouts, "Up!" and the strap bed was being lifted up with Velkan strapped into it and shaking from the volts. As this is happening Igor was muttering.
Taylor and her group soon found a huge hall full of strange gooey things hanging on the walls with wires inside them. Van Helsing soon asked, "You ever seen these things before?"
Anna replied, "No. What do you think they are?"
"Offspring," Van Helsing replied.
"Offspring?" Tess asked.
"What?" Anna asked as well.
Van Helsing replied, "A man with three gorgeous women for 400 years."
"Yes," Anna said, finally getting it, then said, "Vampires are the walking dead. It only makes sense their children are born dead."
"That might not be completely true," Taylor said, causing everyone to look at her as Taylor explains, "It's about my friend, Chiyo. Her mother is a vampire who like Lupe's father traveled the world to help out. She eventually reached Japan, and after helping out, she met Chiyo's father. Once she was born, she was a full vampire, so Chiyo was trained by her mother. Sooner or later, she met Shadow, then they and Lupe went off on various adventures."
"Fascinating," Anna said.
Van Helsing then said, "Back to these offspring, Dracula's obviously trying to bring them to life," he examines and gets some goop from the wires. He looks ahead, and sees some pods blocking their path, he clears his throat, and said, "Ladies first."
"Really?" Taylor asked.
Van Hesling chuckled and went off with the group following him. They pushed through the pods, watching as there were some electrical sparks everywhere. Once they were in the clear, Van Hesling then said, "Dracula and his brides only kill, or in this case one or two people a month," he looks around, then said, "If he brings all these things to life-" he stops himself upon seeing a lot of pods.
"Holy moly," Taylor said looking at this as well.
Back at the lab, Nosfearatu watches as lightning strikes where Velkan is, as if it was charging something, then he heard Dracula say, "Throw the switches."
"Yes, master," Igor replied, and did what Dracula said, then a golden spark of energy shot straight down and went off somewhere.
Back in the hall, Taylor's group watch as electricity went into the pods. Taylor soon heard what appears to be heartbeats and the pods moved. Van Helsing goes to one of the pods and touches it, but was retracked by the electricity, scaring Anna who touches a different pod as well, causing some electrical sparks to be shot from the pod as well.
Van Helsing takes off his glove, causing Anna to ask, "What are you doing?"
"I wanna see what we're up against," he replied, breaking the pod, and moving some gunk and fluid to see what is inside. The girls groan in disgust at all this, until eventually Van Helsing stopped, notices something, then said, "So this is what you get when vampires mate," he was about to touch, when it jolted awake and screeched, then Anna jumped and screamed when a small claw touched her shoulder.
In the lab, Nosfearatu watched as lightning struck again, thinking it was shocking Velkan as Igor pulls down another switch, causing another golden spark of energy to go straight down.
In the hall the group sees the electricity hit the pods again, and this time they all burst out to show the children of Dracula. They screech and fly around, causing Van Helsing to say, "Come on!" and the group went to off to hide somewhere.
On a balcony in the hall, Nosfearatu, Dracula, Aleera, and Verona watch as the offspring fly around. One goes to Verona, who sighs in happiness that their children are alive. The brides hug their master and both sigh in happiness. Dracula soon said, "They need to feed. But we can't let them kill people, that's why there are blood packets in the village. However, they need to scare to power up the Dark Crystal. Teach them how. Teach them!" He throws the brides over the balcony and causing them to fall and scream. They both soon changed into their demon forms to get their children to follow them. Dracula then shouts out, "And beg the devil," he pauses, then said, "that this time they stay alive."
The group watch as the brides lead the children to the village, then Van Helsing said, "This is where I come in."
"No, wait!" Anna said.
He then begins shooting the children, Taylor was thinking this might be a problem, but then she heard her brother Shadow say, "Don't worry, Taylor. Despite this, it is going to be a failure, since Velkan is more man and not enough monster."
Taylor was relieved of this, but after a few kills, getting the attention of Dracula and Nosfearatu, causing the latter to say, "Oh boy, this von't end vell," he then went off to get back into the lab.
After one more was shot and killed, Van Helsing pumps his shotgun, looks at Dracula, and said, "Now that I have your attention."
Dracula growls as he jumps off the balcony, causing Van Helsing and Taylor to run. As he falls, Dracula quickly changes into his demon form, shrieking as his wings blew through the room causing electrical sparks, and debris to move around. Anna runs up some stairs with Tess following her. Taylor and Van Helsing ran to a door, which closes shut, locking them in. Taylor watch as the stairs were blocked by falling debris, preventing them from following Anna and Tess, so they went off to hide.
In the house Anna was living in, in the tower, Carl and Bentley were studying more, then Carl muttered, "Yes, well, that's interesting." Suddenly they hear wings flapping, causing Carl to ask, "Huh?" They watch as a huge hoard of bats lying past them, with the remaining brides as well. Carl said, "My-" but was stopped as a bat tries to attack them but was stopped by a window. Carl then turns and runs off to the village as he said, "Well that's not good. Must warn somebody."
"Don't worry we got some people watching the village. But it will be best to give them some help," Bentley said, puts a hand to his ear, and said, "Carmelita, Carl and I are on your way to help out, for the brides are coming, and they got company."
"Okay, Lupe, Chiyo, and I are ready, even told the villagers as well," Carmelita replied as Carl and Bentley went off.
Back at the castle, the wind howls as Taylor and Van Helsing finally hid as Dracula lands and changes into his human form. As he walks, searching for the two, he then said, "I can tell the character of a man by the sound of his heartbeat," he then moves his hands, and said, "Usually when I approach," he begins to clap his hands, to a rhythm of a heartbeat as he continues, "I can almost dance to the beat," he pauses, then claps his hands slower, then said, "Strange that yours, and possibly Fearbrave's, is so steady," he stops moving and clapping, then looks around.
Back with Anna and Tess, the girls reached the lab, and see the dwerger, Nosfearatu, and Igor continue to work. Igor then said, "Yes, yes, yes," they hear the dwerger jabber, then Igor said, "We must keep the atmosphere electrified." The dwerger jabber more as Igor commanded, "Accelerate the generator," the dwerger did that, then Igor said, "Power the dynamo," the dwerger did that, but then something happened.
"Vhat is going on?" Nosfearatu asked.
"We are losing power," Igor replied.
"Vhat?! Vhy is that?" Nosfearatu asked.
Igor looks up, and replies, "The human is insufficient."
Tess and Anna look up and hear some screams, causing Anna to whisper, "Velkan."
In the village, Carmelita, Lupe, and Chiyo were preparing for the arrival of the brides and their children. Carmelita then said, "Okay girls, you know the drill, you two help the villages while I shoot down the children. Agreed."
"Hai," Chiyo replied.
"Si," Lupe said.
They soon see the villagers coming out of the buildings, even from a pub as dogs bark in the distance. They soon see the brides and their children, even Lupe hears from a now frightened woman whispers, "Oh, my Lord."
The children first begin to grab and feed on the blood packets Nosfearatu left, then begin to chase and scare the people, who were now screaming. Carmelita soon begins to fire her shock pistol at the children, saving the people, while Chiyo and Lupe, both revealling their true selves helped the people out.
One man was soon grabbed by Verona and screams his head off, she sighs, and then throws the man, who was soon caught by Chiyo. Despite the interference with the fox, werewolf and vampire, Verona wasn't worried, and said, "Scare, my darlings, scare!"
Back at the hall in the castle, Dracula still looks for Taylor and Van Helsing. Suddenly a spark fell behind him, causing him to turn, but once he faced forward, Van Helsing took out a silver stake and stabbed Dracula to the heart. The vampire groans, and begins to shudder, as if he was dying. Taylor was worried, thinking the Dark Crystal will be destroyed. Van Helsing then did the prayer cross gesture and praying in Latin. However, Dracula stops, looks at the two, and said, "Hello Taylor Fearbrave, and Gabriel," he then smirks, showing the whole dying thing was all an act, shocking the two.
Back at the lab, Anna, with Tess on her shoulder try to figure out how to get to Velkan until they found a rope. They look down and see what looks like a vat of acid for they see a dwerger jabber as it pours the acid substance into the vat. However, they were shocked as one shrieks out and charges at them, knowing they've been spotted. a few more did the same. Anna jumps up the rope, while a dwerger did the same. Nosfearatu sees the commotion and watches Anna grabs the leg of the dwerger, and cause it to fall. Nosfeartu soon uses his warlock powers to save it. Two more dwerger grabbed the rope from below, but then Anna took out her sword and cuts the rope below her, causing the dwerger to fall into the vat, only for Nosfearatu to save them as well.
Igor sees this, then notices Anna climbing, he then shouts, "We must lose the master's progeny!"
"I know that no need to shout," Nosfearatu replied.
Another chapter done, so Dracula's children were the experiment that Velkan is forced to be part of, and Dracula knows Van Helsing. Why does the vampire know the monster hunter, will Carmelita and the girls be able to stop the attack, and what will happen once Anna reaches her brother?
