During her time on the streets of London, Violet soon decided she didn't want to live forever on the streets. She had considered the facts carefully, and realised the Dursleys were not trying to find her, not that she had expected them to even try. One day, she walked into a police station, and soon she was put into a foster home, but to make sure she was safe she changed her surname from Potter to Turner.

When she was off the streets, Violet went back to school. Mostly keeping to herself, which appealed to her as she was used to solitude, it took a while before Violet began making acquaintances. Now she was off the street, and the carers at the foster home did their best to make her feel welcome despite making it clear they were not happy a new mouth to feed had turned up, and Violet began embracing her feminine side once she gained more confidence.

Petunia had never really gone out of her way to make her feel like a girl, nor a daughter; the Dursleys would chuck whatever secondhand thing they could find her way, be they Dudley's old castoffs or something equally old from a charity shop.

But now Violet was being given the chance to shine. She soon discovered something most girls discover early on, a sense of style. She preferred girly dresses, after spending years tripping up on Dudley's old trousers, which had been a source of amusement and anger for the Dursleys. She also adored colours like pink and purple, and it was not uncommon for her to go around dressed in those colours.

But while she was a girly girl, Violet made some friends tentatively despite all of the bad memories she had, and she soon discovered a side of herself she actually found herself liking. And Violet found she actually enjoyed being part of a clic even if there were moments when her powers were aroused and something happened, but she learnt quickly to keep those moments under control.

Without Dudley around, Violet was free to excel in her studies. She was a smart girl, always had been and always would be. It wasn't long before she became a near-top student. At first, Violet was worried that this would cause problems with herself and her new friends, but to her relief, it wasn't a problem. She was also worried they might decide to use her to do their work for them, but it never happened because she made sure they did their own work.

Then she learnt about historical ninjas, otherwise known as shinobi no mono, from Ancient Japan, most notably the kunoichi - female ninjas. Modern-day culture depicted ninjas as martial artists, but while some of their feats were accurate enough, in reality they were just ordinary people with incredible skills, using a combination of melee weapons, and ordinary tools; their tricks were just amazing illusions.

But real kunoichi appealed to her.

According to myths, Mochizuki Chiyome, a 16th-century Japanese woman who was a noblewoman and a poet allegedly created a group of kunoichi in service of the Takeda clan. While the facts were elusive and there were no real pieces of evidence of what she had done, the story was intriguing to Violet. She wasn't born to any of the ninja clans, she was an ordinary woman of noble birth, in a clan constantly warring with others, and there were threats of assassination that frequently occurred.

Mochizuki's husband had created a network of spies, and when he died in battle in a possible skirmish, she was struck with grief and she became a kunoichi, disguising herself as a charitable noblewoman, seeking to do good, and she gathered a flock of women who supported her. She brought in orphan girls under her wing, promising safety and sanctuary in an age that needed it desperately. They would then be granted a formal education, but they were also taught the arts of spying, infiltration, sabotage, and even how to kill quickly. They were taught how to role-play, how to hide in plain sight, and how to seduce, and how to find information and smuggle it all out.

The idea hooked Violet so much. She had enjoyed a criminal career, but it was so basic, but as time passed she began looking for information on how to seduce men, like a spy when she realised how interlinked spying and ninjas were. In so many ways, James Bond was a ninja long before You Only Live Twice.

And so she began researching, she started collecting film noir movies about femme fatales, believing it might provide her with the missing link (well, actually she learnt about Mata Hari and other infamous women like her) and she started memorising how they moved, how they spoke, and she started to mimic them.

Violet did not stop learning about her powers, and she began practicing them in earnest. One day, thinking about the Dursleys, she pictured them in her mind, and she swore she could see them; they were asleep in their house as if they hadn't had a fourth person living with them in their home. Violet concentrated, visualising their hearts, and then stopping them, one by one. She smirked inwardly when she caused Vernon's heart to swell, bigger and bigger until it burst, popping violently like a balloon, and she smirked when she saw him coughing up blood.

Next she repeated the process with Petunia, but this time she mentally strangled her (why she didn't do the same thing to Vernon, she had to wonder, but nothing she could do, even if it would have been poetic to see the fat pig choking to death like he had tried so many times to her), before she caused her heart to pop.

Dudley, she had something better for him. She levitated him up, holding him upside down so then all of his fatty rolls dropped down because of gravity, and then she squeezed his testicles, really hard. Violet could have sworn she heard him scream like a little girl, and then she reached down his throat, choking him as she grasped for his lungs, heart, stomach and liver, and then…..she pulled, ripping it all out violently.

Then she focused on Marge and her dogs. One by one, Violet pictured them, the hideous, flea-bitten monstrosities that were believed to be dogs, and one by one she snapped their legs, twisting them at unnatural angles before she tore their internal organs out. For Ripper, she kept him for last. She threw him around his home, smashing him against walls, and ignoring his squeals of pain, Violet then twisted his neck.

Marge, like her brother, nephew and sister-in-law, suffered a terrible death.

Violet lifted her up, slapping her about, mentally hearing her screams of panic and terror while ignoring her futile cries for help which were never going to come.

Once it was over, Violet went back to her life.

Violet was surprised when she learnt of Hogwarts, and even more surprised when she received more than one letter before Professor McGonagall came to meet her, and explained about the magical world before she went to Diagon Alley. Violet also picked up on her surprise she was not with the Dursleys, and when she pressed innocently, McGonagall let slip she had been there when Dumbledore had put her on the doorstep.

After that, Violet swore never to trust the woman.

When she had left Violet, she had gone back to Diagon Alley and she went back, knowing while the goblins were bankers, they had information. Now she was safely and reassuringly alone, it was easy for her to ask them the questions about her family that she hadn't been able to ask beforehand and make one or two things plain.

The goblins were not happy she had not received any mail from them of any kind. Gringotts, as it turned out, like all conventional muggle banks, sent out periodic statements about the status of their customer's accounts. To find out one of their clients hadn't received their mail was something they took seriously.

They examined her. They discovered she had a few residual spells on her cast by Albus Dumbledore himself, spells that tracked her health, that blocked her mail and summoned it to him. Discovering these spells disgusted Violet, and she had them removed, but she made sure their record was on file. She wanted to break Dumbledore for good, and make him pay for messing with her. But they discovered that Lord Voldemort, the dark wizard who had attacked her, murdering her parents in the process, had left a piece of his soul in her scar.

Violet stared at the shapeless black….mist inside the jar; it was trying to get out, and it was creating a facsimile of little hands and tried to form the shape of a person. It was trying relentlessly to break out, but its efforts were futile.

"That was in my scar?" She whispered unnecessarily, scared at what had been lurking inside of her.

"Yes, Miss Potter," one of the goblin healers replied.

"It's a Horcrux, a piece of the soul."

"And that's what was left after Voldemort's attack?" Violet shook her head. "I know, you told me about it when you examined me, after McGonagall's little explanation about my parents' murders made me suspicious about what could be in my scar. What would have happened if you hadn't taken it out?"

One of the goblin healers sighed. "It would have likely tried to escape, overwhelming your own soul and taken over your body."

"Really?" Violet's face hardened as she glared at the thing inside the jar. She bent down and leaned closer. "What will you do with it?"

"We're going to drain it of its magic, and when we do that, the rest of his soul will be drawn towards it."

"Like a magnet?"

It was clear the goblins didn't get the reference, but they made the effort. "Yes, precisely, and with some luck the magic of his followers will be drawn to it as well, as they are all connected with him."

This sort of knowledge went beyond anything Violet knew, but she smirked nonetheless. "What about my own arrangements?" She asked. "Are the school prospectuses ready?"

There was no chance in hell or heaven she was going to the same school Dumbledore and McGonagall if they could drop her off on a doorstep, and she had made sure to alert her family manager of the fact she had never received any mail. The goblins were more pissed off about that. The abuse from the Dursleys was long gone, but the memories weren't, and they had removed them for evidence. Soon, Dumbledore was going to suffer from a backlash from hell.

At the same time, the goblins learnt of how she hadn't received fan mail and gifts, which concerned them. They had already spent hours checking her over, discovering that she had spells for diverting mail beyond what was allowed, like the Hogwarts mail, but that was it. The goblins were annoyed by this.

"Can you hear me in there, you fuck? You're gonna die, and I am going to watch and laugh as you finally pay the price for coming for me, and for using me like the parasite you are. You're not a Dark Lord, you're a leech!" Violet sneered at the thing inside the jar.

It retaliated by smashing itself angrily at the glass. It didn't break.

The magical world was shaken by the scandals that exploded. Gringotts had not held back once, they had revealed what Dumbledore had done to Violet Potter, how he had placed illegal monitoring spells on her and interfered with the due process that magical orphans were supposed to receive after the deaths of their families and how nobody batted an eyelid. The abuse she had gone through was also revealed, along with how Dumbledore had plotted to commit line-theft on her by having her married to the youngest Weasley boy, and how the elder Weasleys were complicit as well.

Given their family's history, this was met with a lot of violent backlash. Violet personally and privately hoped something horrific happened to the family, she wanted nothing to do with them.

In the meantime, following Voldemort's own death now the soul pieces had been drained and the goblins had released a carefully worded and chosen story saying they had discovered something that allowed them to track Voldemort down even giving proof to naysayers that he was dead to shut them up and then killed him which finally put an end to the stupidity of everyone's beliefs that she was the saviour of the magical world, she decided on a school.

Violet decided to attend Uagadou, in Africa. There were several reasons why she chose to be educated there. Firstly, the school had an excellent academic record, secondly, they taught all of the regular magical subjects - transfiguration, charms, DADA, herbology, but they also taught ancient runes, healing, warding, alchemy, and many other magical subjects beyond the norm.

They also taught their students how to use wandless magic. The dependency of wands really did not appeal to Violet, especially since she had used wandless magic all her life, and the thought of waving a stick around did not appeal to her.

During her time at Uagadou, after leaving Britain in turmoil, Violet excelled as a student and made many friends at the school. During her time there, she was reunited with her godfather, Sirius Black. But Violet was not interested in him dominating her life. She was currently the ward of the African Magical world and would remain so until her 18th birthday.

Sirius was upset by that, but Violet coldly and bluntly pointed out if he had wanted a relationship, he should never have ran off the way he had. Their relationship became tenuous.

She never stopped her kunoichi training. She had been taking lessons in dancing, acting, and spying with plans to become one later in life. She became proficient at casting invisibility and disillusionment charms on herself, and using them to spy on others and even learning how to blackmail people.

As the years at Uagadou passed and her ideas for how to take her life as a spy evolve to become a business idea instead, Violet waited to leave Uagaodu. In the meantime, she created a network both in the magical world and the muggle world, to give her some ideas.

She didn't know where she would take this business, but she would succeed.

Author's Note - A long time ago, I began writing this short story collection, but I quickly lost interest and put it all at the back of my mind. Now I have always wanted to finish it and others, but I wanted to finish this because soon I'm just going to stop writing Harry Potter altogether aside from a few one-shots, and that's it. I've grown tired of the fandom and it no longer has much appeal for me.
