{Disruption and Chaos Arc - Finale}

25th of January, 2014.

The day of the DEM Assault came. This time, the Japanese Branch. All I aim to achieve, is to make sure Westcott is set back. His death will come in due time, but for now, I'll do all that I can to be a massive thorn in his side regarding his progression with technology.

I got up from the hotel bed I slept in, readying myself for combat. I was so ready to make that man angry. He is desperate for a new world simply because his village got burnt down by humans because they found out about his Magi origins.

"Now then.. I'll kill off as many of his lackeys as I can, all the while using Eon on their electronics. If needed, I'll use Hearth for the killstreak type attacks and perhaps.. maybe even get a tiny bit nuclear." I thought to myself as I dawned my astral dress, walking to the balcony to then take flight using my reiryoku as my flight source.

I then landed outside of the DEM facility, looking around to eye out any weaknesses within the defense.

"Excelsus." I recited, my white katana appearing in my right hand.

"Seeing a lot of electronic security systems. One use of a decently charged Eon and they'll be fried for the count."

I then walked to the gate, where I was met with 2 agents with G17s.

"Hey, you're trespassing on DEM property. Turn back or we'll shoot." One of the agents stated with distaste.

I raised my katana at the 2 men, ready to commence my assault.

"Hey, put the katana dow-"

"Eon." I recited, cutting off the agent as an EMP then detonated over the top of the main building of the facility.

The 2 agents looked upwards, eyeing the EMP as it then fried their defensive systems.

"What the-" An agent exclaimed before he was silenced, the sound replaced by a slash of my katana, his blood spilling on the floor.

The other agent gasped, but he too died at the hands of my katana, the same way the first agent did.

I then set foot inside of the DEM Facility, now beginning to cause some mayhem, all the while I knew Westcott would be either be listening, or watching, or perhaps even both.

I pressed forward, slaughtering any agents that were in my way as I made my way from room to room, destroying research so I can set them back some.

"You DEM scumbags will pay your tax! By delaying your research by a decade, forcefully!" I shouted as I kept on killing any DEM agent that dared to stand against me. The screams, cries, wails and even the choking were all music to my ears. Of course, I'd puke if it was normal civilians, but these guys? They deserved to die and more.

Westcott POV:

"What the hell is going on down there?!" I shouted, demanding an explanation.

"We're under attack sir! It's Balladeer! He's slaughtering the agents 1 by 1 and he's destroying our research!" One of my higher ranking agents replied, his tone desperate.

"Curse that damn spirit! He fries our electric equipment and then proceeds to kill the people we hired! Tell those damn people to do whatever necessary to bring him down!" I stated with a hint of aggression.

"Yes sir!" The agent exclaimed in response, dashing out of my office.

"This is rather interesting, Balladeer.. let's see if you can handle a massive army, working in unison. Maybe even Ellen too if she steps in.." I thought to myself as I now tried getting the systems back up.

Scara POV: (OC)

"Is this the best you've got?!" I shouted as I beheaded an agent who was more armoured than the last agents I encountered; seems things are getting tougher.

I then cleared out the ground floor, moving up the first floor, where all the main research was, believe it or not. I started encountering more agents with armor vests and they had Submachine Guns now.

They fired all together, making me stationary behind cover. I figured this would be a good time to use another one of Excelsus' abilities.

"Blight." I recited, as I held my katana outward toward the enemy, as it flashed with an intense light, similar to a flashbang which blinded the agents shooting me.

I then ran in whilst they were blind from the light, slashing them 1 by 1, making sure they couldn't get back up. I then looted one of the bodies, grabbing stun grenades from his pouch, which then gave me an idea for a stun grenade-like ability for Excelsus.

I then rushed from room to room once more, using said stun grenades while slaughtering the agents that guard the facility all the while destroying essential research.

"Make sure Balladeer doesn't get to Westcott's office!" One of the agents cried out in fear as I kept slashing and stabbing my way through what appeared to be hordes of DEM agents on the first floor.

I eventually cleared out the first floor as I moved up to the second floor, now seeing the agents have MP5s.

"Sonedaze." I recited, holding my katana in the enemy's direction, as it discharged a disorienting shockwave outward from the tip of the blade, making the DEM agents in said room to have damaged senses for a short time.

I took the opportunity to strike down those said agents while chanting: "Für Spirituosen!" repeatedly. I love screaming edgy battle cries in German, okay?

"He's a freak of nature!" A DEM agent exclaimed, horrified by the sight of me murdering his comrades infront of him 1 by 1, their blood spilling on the floor, splattering on the walls, the metalic scent of it filling the air within this building; the place practically reeked of death.

"You brought this upon yourself for trying to make a woman your experiment play thing!" I shouted as I danced with my blade, decapitating and incapacitating anyone in my sights.

I think it goes without saying I cleared out this floor, then the 3rd, then the 4th and the... oh you probably know by now.

After killing what felt like hundreds of agents, and destroying research that could set them back to up to 10 years, I managed to get to 15th floor. It was eerily quiet, like noone was there.

I walked along the hallway, looking around at all of the offices while looking for Westcott so I could torment him.

After locating Westcott's office, I entered slowly, Excelsus in hand.

"My my.. what have we here? How unlike you to come to me, Balladeer." Westcott said with a hint of both annoyance and interest.

"Incase you're wondering, I'm not here to kill you Westcott. I'm simply just setting you and DEM back a few years. Hope you don't mind." I replied with a forced smile.

"Well that makes things difficult.. you fried the defense network with your EMP ability.. then you slaughter my men and women without hesitation and you destroy my precious research... honestly Balladeer, how could you be so cruel to me?" Westcott jested, with an attitude I could not bare.

"I heard you want me 6 feet under, don't you Westcott? Too bad for you, I don't intend on dying for another 27 years yet at least." I replied, a devilish smile appearing on my face.

"Oh? That's quite the assumption you've made there, Balladeer. What if within those 27 years, I somehow make you lose yourself by driving you to the deepest pits of despair and anger? What will you do then, I wonder.." Westcott said, his words sounding more and more twisted by the moment.

"You won't be making me feel despair until all those years later anyway. Where's Ellen? Woulda thought she'd be here with you." I asked, with the intention of jabbing him mentally.

"How do you know Ellen? Could it be you two met somewhere before today? If so, then that's quite unexpected.." Westcott stated in a curious tone.

"Something like that." I replied sharply.

"Now Balladeer, are you sure you don't want to kill me? This is your chance. Anyone in the same position as you would easily jump on that train." Westcott questioned, almost as if he's trying to rile me up.

"I'm sure. I'm saving the best thing for last. Who wouldn't? After all, survival instincts and knowing the importance of one's goal." I replied sternly.

"Fine. But you may regret this decision, Balladeer." Westcott said with a hint of malice.

"Ehh, it'll just be more satisfying killing you in the future. It'd be unfulfilling to do it now." I explained, walking to his office door.

"Oh, and Balladeer. I hope you know that one day, you will be outmatched. Once I find and consume Deus' power, I will make sure your head is on my wall." Westcott challenged.

"Looking forward to it. Give my regards to your mother if you get to hell first." I said as I walked out of his office, satisfied with the damage I had caused.

After the successful raid on DEM, it was evening and I was standing on a hill overlooking Tengu City as I heard numerous amounts of sirens, rushing to the DEM facility as I watched the buildings emit grey smoke.

"Compared to the England massacre, I don't feel any sense of guilt here. Must be because I've learnt that I have to do this if I want my Platinum Ending. I don't expect any praise or whatever but I suppose I should expect to have people who hate me for it later down the line." I thought to myself as I continued to overlook the city in silence, until...

"Hey! Aren't you Scara Tojo?" A familiar voice beckoned.

I turned around, and sure enough, Nia was behind me.

"Oh, aren't you Nia Honjo? What brings you here?" I asked with curiosity.

"Nothing much, just wanted to get out of my apartment for a bit. Though.. look at that scene. I bet you caused that, didn't you?" Nia suggested.

"Yep, I did. But it was for the greater good. You'll see in the future, because I don't expect you to understand now." I replied with a hint of foreshadowing.

"Alright, I'll take your word for it." Nia said with a hint of reluctance.

"This is where we part ways for a while." I said as I walked towards the pathway. "Someday Nia, we'll meet again and when we do, well, let's just say it might be under dire circumstances."

"I'm really confused as to what you just said, but nothing more I can do than take your words with a pinch of salt." Nia replied.

I nodded before I walked away, the sun rays from the sunset hitting my skin to make it illuminate as I walked; a perfect ending to the second phase of my conquest as a spirit.

A/N: Hey there! If you've made it this far, you're a legend. I hope you keep reading this fanfic, even if it's a bit corny in some ways.

I'm thinking about making an index for Scara as to reveal his abilities as the chapters release. Let me know what you think.

Scara has successfully delayed Westcott's plans, destroying his research and killing his agents all the while frying their network.

What's this..? Scara is being an uncle to little baby Shido?!

Next time: "Shido Itsuka Takamiya." Don't miss it!
