Nathalie did not regret drinking that beverage last night, given all the stress the double life has caused her … she just regretted the following hangover. There were pros and cons to being Gabriel's one and only confidant. The pro was the forewarning of keeping Adrien safe and the knowledge of being someone he could rely on. The con, the headaches she got from dealing with his constant absences and the akumas he made.

One could admire the dedication of the man willing to go this far for the sake of a love one, but Nathalie often wondered if this dedication wasn't more akin to delusion. Once or twice she heard the man laugh maniacally in the air, and he always ended every defeat with a grand declaration that no one could hear but himself. And despite what he said, she highly doubted all of it was Nooroo's fault.

She nursed her head as she watched Adrien get into the car, their bodyguard driving off as they rode in silence. "Is Father going to be busy all day today?" The boy didn't even sound sad or worried as he asked, simply expectant.

"For most of the day. Yes. He was overworked yesterday with a particular project." More accurately drinking himself to a stupor to forget the 'raunchy' thoughts of a teenage girl. She had little idea about the context, but figured it had something to do with Chloe Bourgeois.

"I see …" He muttered, looking out of the window, focusing on something. "Stop the car!"

Scrrrrreeeeeech

"What's the matter?" She asked, her body on full alert as she moved her hand to the silencer located in the emergency panel.

"Peter's bike has a flat."

"…" She took a moment to take a deep breath. If she didn't know that Adrien was a quiet boy that was greatly emphatic in spite of the hardships in his life, she would've been tempted to yell at him. "You wish to let Mr. Parker ride with you to school?"

"We'll yeah, there's no reason not to. He's my friend." There were plenty of reasons why to not let him in the limo, mainly Gabriel's disapproval, which would usually be more than enough.

But she could always make the argument of 'him or Chloe', and given the man's latest encounter with the girl, he'd likely take the former. "Alright." She turned to Adrien's bodyguard. "Help the boy move his bike to the trunk."

The bodyguard gave a simple nod, not indicating discomfort, unwillingness, or any emotion really. The man was very professional… not so much as her given his love for action figures, but professional enough.

"This is the last time I let Screwball use my stuff for her dares." The American grumbled as the bodyguard held the bike over his head.

"The heck did she do with it?" Adrien asked.

"She decided she needed to either jump a roof on foot or the river on bike." The boy answered. "I think she's getting back into the dangerous stuff again."

"You'd think she would've learned by now after being akumatized."

"To her, that is being safe, though I think she's just trying to distract herself from the Mr Li situation." Ah yes, the other so called super villain in town that could arguably give Gabriel's power a run for its money. "So what's been going on with you?"

"Shoots, same as always." Adrien responded. "Luckily today's a free day for my schedule, right Nathalie?"

"Actually there's been a last minute change in plans." She stated.

"Really?" He asked with clear signs of disappointment.

"If it makes you feel any better, the shoot will be taking place at your school. The theme is youth in Paris."

"Hey, maybe you can include Marinette this time." Peter asked with a teasing grin.

"... Are you sure you don't have a crush on her?" Adrian asked sincerely.

"And I'm shutting down this rabbit hole before we go any further." The Parker boy slumped in his seat.

"Whatever the case, Adrien is already set to work with another model for the shoot, a novice, but one that has been making waves in the U.S as of late." She went over her clipboard. "One Mary Jane."

"Wait, Mary Jane? Like Mary Jane Watson?" Peter asked curiously.

"You've heard of her Peter?" Adrien inquired.

"Heard of her? She was my next door neighbor for years." Richard and Mary's boy smirked. "Her Aunt and mine had this crazy idea that we were in love with each other, but it was purely platonic."

Adrien looked at Peter for a moment. "... Red head?"

"Yeah."

"So going by your experience with Alya, I should expect nothing but absolute terror?"

"She comes off a bit strong, but it's all in good fun." Peter waved off. "Just don't take her tone of voice the wrong way, she likes leaving an impression, that's all."

"Understood." The boy smiled. What she wouldn't give to see him smile like that every day.

Marinette walked into school, looking with surprise as a couple of cameras were set up. She turned to Alya. "Any idea what's going on?"

"Adrien's having his next shoot right here in school." She answered. Oh, maybe Marinette could sneak a picture or two for her collection. "Him and some other model from America are going to pose to capture 'the essence of a typical youthful day in Paris'."

"I see." Marinette nodded, turning to Nino. "Looks like you and Peter are gonna have to compete with a new contender for Adrien's best bro."

"Whataya mean?" Nino asked. "I mean, not saying chicks can't be considered bros, but I'm not seeing the issue here.

"... IT'S A GIRL!?" Marinette shouted, going into a full internal panic. "Adrien's going to be modeling with a female foreign model?!" Being a model was already one obstacle, but being foreign added a level of exotic mess that was almost impossible to resist for most people!

"Yes, yes he is." Alya nodded. "I half expect Chloe to try and murder her out of spite."

"Oh I'm not going to let that happen." Peter said with his arms crossed. "Then again, Mary Jane is usually good at keeping a cool head under pressure."

"Mary Jane?" Marinette asked

"Wasn't that the name of an American drug?" Max asked as the class gazed at the set up.

"I thought that was the name of a band." Felica commented.

"No, that's just her first name. Mary Jane Watson." Peter clarified

"Someone named their kid after a brand of drugs?" Kim asked.

"Someone remind me to hit Kim later." Peter said.

"Already on it." Alix nodded and slugged the jock in the arm.

"Ow!"

"So you know her?" Mylene asked.

"Yep. Me and MJ go way back, we grew up on the same street." The boy smiled with excitement. "After the move I thought we'd just switch to a monthly phone call. Didn't think she'd go international this fast."

"So you know not one but two models and the founder of FEAST personally?" Alya questioned with a smirk.

"New York has weird connections." Peter shrugged. "There was this one guy at a deli shop who apparently has had every hero and villain with a secret identity come into his place at least once and didn't know until he retired."

"Oh. So if you know this girl, then on a level of one to ten… how likely is she is to attract and or seduce Adrien?" She asked in a panicked whisper.

"Two. Adrien's nice, but he doesn't have that wild energy she has." Peter said. "It'd be like Adrien and Alya."

"No way my bro or girl would betray me like that." Nino crossed his arms.

"Just saying that MJ comes off strongly, but she's no different from everyone else."

"How strong?" Ivan asked, holding Mylene close. "I'd rather not make a wrong impression."

"There's a certain line she uses that usually makes most people feel like their legs are made out of jello, but that's just her way of taking control of the conversation, she's harmless." Peter waved off.

She took a sigh of relief. Flirty, but not serious. No way Adrien would fall for that, she had nothing to worry about. "Well, when will she get-"

"Face it, tigers, you just hit the Jackpot." Spoke a seductive voice as they all turned to … well, if Marinette ever questioned if she was bi before, it was certainly answered now.

In walked a girl in high heels, strutting forward with grace and precision, yet flowed as naturally as water. The slender long and white legs went up to a black dress that covered a perfectly filled hip that seemed to give a hypnotic sway, the hourglass figure leading up to a chest that Marinette was sure the girls in her class either envied or stared at. At the top of the girl's head was a long lock of red hair, attached to piercing green eyes that looked like they belonged to a predator, and attached to a seductive grin.

The whole class was swept up or swooned by the American girl. "Yep, that's the line." Everyone EXCEPT Peter, who waved at her as if she was a random joe out in the street. "Classic Mj, taking everyone's breath away as usual."

"Hey Tiger." The drop dead GORGEOUS redhead looked directly at Peter. "Glad to see going to Paris hasn't changed you a bit.

"So, finally going cross country I see." Peter smiled, completely unphased by the apparent beauty of the woman. "Met a manager that wasn't crooked?"

"Nope, but I found one that was dumb enough to not realize I'm taking the majority of the shares in the contract I created, so win's all around." The dazzling beauty of a girl laughed in a way that seemed almost invocative. "How's the move been? Hopefully less crazy than New York."

"Pfft. Paris is less crazy but the akuma attacks make up for it with the absurdity." He smirked. "I mean half this class gets the superhero supervillain experience without any consequences, not to mention how tacky most of the costumes are."

"Hey, give them a break." The girl smirked, putting a hand on her hips as she gave them a grin that made Marinette feel things. "They're new when it comes to a super time."

"I'm not sure what I'm watching right now….and I'm not sure if I want to turn away." Alya whispered to her as the rest of the class kept staring with their jaws dropped to the floor.

"Hey Peter!" Adrien walked over, looking at the new girl seriously. "Is this Mary Jane?" HOW STRONG WERE THESE BOY'S WILLS!?

"Yep." Peter grinned. "She's the friend I told you about."

"Friend?" The girl said in a gasp, swaying around. "Peter, how could you downplay our relationship like that?" WHAT!? "We're best friends."

"Sorry to say, that role has been usurped by me." Adrien grinned.

"Peter, you went all the way to Paris just to replace me?" Mary Jane said dramatically in a matter Peter did pretty often. "I don't know whether I should be flattered or offended.

"Hey, you're my best America friend, Adrian's my best French friend, we're all good here."

"Well … we may as well get intimate with one another, since we're all here." She smirked.

"And how would you suggest that?" Adrien asked.

"A competition in today's shoot?" Mary Jane asked.

"I have catwalking, fencing, and anime on my side. I am invincible as a fair warning." The love of her life grinned at the beautiful woman.

"Oh really? I have seven years of ballet, four years of self defense classes, and the entire Lord of the rings books and movies memorized line for line." The woman returned the gesture with full confidence.

"She memorized what now?" Nathaniel muttered in shock.

"Oh I see, forgive game for not recognizing game." Adrien spun around in place. "Loser buys the class lunch?"

"I would argue that's a bit much, but I have seen both your bank accounts." Peter nodded.

"It's on, pretty boy." She shifted her hair in a way that made the world feel like it was going in slow motion as the sun bounced off her flawless skin. "And don't let this figure fool you, I will put a dent in that back account, so just prepare ahead of time, sweet heart."

The two of them walked away, leaving the rest of the class simply staring in silence as they watched her hip sway back and forth. "She still got it." Peter laughed, turning to the rest of them. "She's pretty fun, right guys?"

"...THAT'S who your next door neighbor was?! THAT'S who you're 'just friends' with!?" Alya shouted, breaking the silence amongst the class. "THAT bombshell beauty!?"

"Yeah, she's awesome." He smiled at the group, looking almost as oblivious as Adrien could be.

"Petro, either you have ridiculously high standards, or you're the dumbest nerd of all time." Felicia put in bluntly.

"Well excccussee me, princess, for having a platonic female relationship like a normal person instead of letting my tongue hang out like half of you here." Peter responded sarcastically. "I've known her since I was like five, we just get along better as friends."

"So you HAVE thought of her like that before?" Nino questioned.

"Only because her aunt and mine tried to hook us up, we didn't take to it and basically stayed friends out of spite essentially." He answered.

"... So is she looking for someone or …" Kim asked.

"You can try…. just know she has a LOONG list of rejecting people." Peter smirked. "And trust me, she's rejected much bigger and buffer than you."

"So she's a heartbreaker?" Marinette asked, finally finding herself being able to breathe after her brain finally rebooted itself from the marvelous and slightly confusing sight.

"Oh, big time. You should've seen her last valentines day. The halls of the school were littered with a trail of torn up valentine cards that lead up to her. You could call it our own incident of 07 … the tragedy."

"I see…." And that same girl was going to be modeling…. Intimately…. .with Adrien! "Excuse me for a moment." She quickly rushed to the bathroom and locked herself in a stall. "AHHHHHH! This is a disaster!"

"Marinette, Adrien's a model, he's likely worked with other models before." Tikki told her.

"Yeah, but I doubt those models were Mary Jane level's of stunning! She was absolutely gorgeous!" Marinette reiterated. "Nobody can resist that!"

"Peter did."

"Because he has childhood friendships keeping him out of the romance zone, he's basically obligated to only see her platonically! Adrien doesn't have the same defense! I'M not sure I have the same level of defense! He'll fall head over heels for her, ask her out, and then get his heart broken which will lead to him getting akumatized!"

"I don't think Adrien's going to be interested in her." Tikki said. "Why don't you just talk with Mary Jane before that, like friends?"

"You're right Tikki! I should intervene and make sure Adrien doesn't ask her out."

"...That's not at all what I meant."

"Thanks for the advice Tikki." Marinette nodded with a smile as she ran out of the bathroom. She was going to save the day, and she didn't even need to be ladybug to do it this time!

"Oh boy."

Chloe smiled as she walked through the door. So what if Sabrina wasn't talking to her at the moment, she got a kiss from Spider-Man! Sure it was just a friendly one, but it's the thought that counts! It was the first time HE'S ever kissed her instead of her giving him one! Her heart's never beated so fast before, and it was like every step she took was like walking on clouds full of rainbows. She knew deep in her heart this was more than just a crush or admiration….. Chloe Bourgeois was in love with Spider-man!

"Is Chloe sparkling?" The weird goth girl muttered as she walked past.

"I think she's skipping too." The skater girl said with surprise. "What the heck did you do to her Sabrina?"

"It's… complicated… but I don't think this was my doing." Her 'friend'(it was hard to label her as anything else at the moment). "After I was de-akumatized, I left her hotel as she began ranting something about 'Ladybrat being the absolute worstest of the worst hero forever'."

"And don't you forget it!" She shot back with the same smile she's had on all morning as she noticed the set up. "Sabrina, what's going on here?"

"Oh… are… are we talking again?" She asked shyly. "Cause I thought you were still mad-"

"Ugh, why are you hung up on stuff that doesn't matter. That was like, yesterday, time to move on." Best way to move past a problem was to pretend it didn't happen at all. "Just tell me what's going on, alright?"

"Okay." Sabrina gave that usual smile she had on all the time when Chloe was involved. "Adrien's modeling with someone from america."

"Oh, is that all?" Chloe shrugged. Not like she hasn't seen Adrikens model with other people before. "Probably giving some no name credit to start up a career." One that would no doubt crash and burn.

"Actually she's a friend of Peter's." Rose spoke up. "And she's super pretty."

"Who?" Chloe asked.

"The American transfer in our class you're always fighting with?" Sabrina reminded her.

"Oh, right, pfft, that only proves my point. No name American knows a no name model." Chloe nodded justifiably.

"Oh, you'll remember her name once you see her." That other new kid, the girl with the old lady hair spoke up. "Ivan and Nino here are trying to not piss off their girlfriends by looking."

"Wait, why do you get to look when I don't? I saw you oogling too." Nino said as Alya put an eye mask over the dj kid's face.

"I'm a reporter, my job requires me to look everywhere, so I have to make the sacrifice."

"That sounds more like an excuse."

Meanwhile Ivan stared at a wall, rubbing his head. "I have the best girlfriend, I have the best girlfriend, I have the best girlfriend …"

"Absolute bombshell of a woman." Alix noted. "Like….damn, like….damn damn. Not sure if I'd swing that way, but heck if I'd be tempted after today."

"I'm just surprised Peter managed to avoid that out of spite." Max said as he focused on his geeky computer stuff. "Apparently common sense CAN rule over emotion."

"You losers are acting like she's sculpted out of gold or something. There's no WAY someone that can be that attractive."

"You can look at her yourself." Nathaniel said while drawing in his little book with a blush. "She's right over there next to Adrien."

"Like anybody can notice anyone else when my Adrikens is… is…. " Her speech slowed down as she got a good look at this so called 'bombshell beauty'...and for probably the second time in her life, next to that American's grandma laying into her, Chloe felt the need to shut up from the sheer shock of the moment.

Creamy flawless skin, hourglass figure, bright red hair with no other traces of brown, gray, or white to ruin the tone, and bright green eyes that just bored into your soul and made one feel small by comparison. "Gotta say, you've lasted longer than I thought you would. Three hours under the spotlight and not a single sweat." Her Adriken smiled at the newbie like she was something impressive.

"If you can dance for four hours and only need a single bottle of water, I'll give you a clap of being impressed." The girl smirked. "Although I will say for a model you have some strong limbs, you exercise?"

"I took up a recent routine every day. Mostly running from Akuma." Adrikens nodded as he shifted positions for the camera.

"Ah, the secret to surviving in New York, calf muscles."

Chloe stared at the girl, then looked down at her own body, feeling a small prickle of envy. If she was going to keep anything from being Spider-Woman, why couldn't it be the looks? Sure the arms would've gotten weird, but she had height, and her chest was more-

She shook her head. You promised Spidey that you'd stay out of trouble, that meant don't be a jerk…. or at least don't yell at people to the point you cripple them emotionally and make them cry. Don't cause another akuma. She would just walk up to the two and 'kindly' tell the American noob to BACK off her Adrikens.

Forcing a smile on her face, she made her way over to them. "Hey Adrikens." She waved.

"Hey Chloe." The boy smiled at her. "MJ, this is my best Paris friend, Chloe." Aww, he was so sweet.

"Yeah, Peter told me about her, mostly how she's terrible." The red head shrugged.

"..." Resist the urge to strangle this girl's throat, resist the urge to shove her down the trashsuit. "So glad word's got around. Can't say the same thing about you though, ms no name."

"Oooh, aren't you a prickly little bumble bee." The red head smirked. "The name's Mary Jane."

"... Like the drug?" She asked.

"Why does everyone always jump to that first?" The American boy asked, walking up to them.

"Probably because people can't get enough of me after one whiff." The red head laughed. "They think they're over me, but they come a-running back."

"Careful now, too much of a good thing is bad for you … at least I've heard so." Adrien smirked.

"Eh, I find life's more fun when you're living on the edge. Living in New Yorks is a very awakening for someone young and full a dreams." The noob twirled around. "When life suddenly gets too crazy, you realize you either need to take the opportunity to live on the fast lane or get left behind in the slow mundane dullness of reality."

"I don't know how you'd call superhero fights a dull reality." Adrien noted.

"I live in New York, that's become the norm." The noob shrugged. "The only way to get more excitement out of life is to either join the fight yourself or look beyond what the city has to offer. I took the latter, but can't you imagine being in the middle of all that action? Heroes in bright tights that leave little to the imagination and swopping you up in their arms like your the most important person in the world?

Chloe couldn't deny that much. That WAS the most amazing feeling she's felt. "Chloe actually would know all about that, she's been saved by Spider-man almost over a dozen times by this point." Adrien pointed to her.

"Oh really?" The new girl smirked. "How'd it feel?"

"Wha-what?" Chloe sputtered.

"Getting all cozy in his grasp and feeling every inch of that skintight costume, face close enough to feel their breath brush up against it?" She leaned in closer, and Chloe suddenly felt smaller than before. "Have you seen it?" She asked suggestively.

"Ah…." This was suddenly getting to be too much.

"Reign your horses MJ, you're gonna give the girl a heart attack." The American pulled her back with a laugh.

"And here I am starting to think you exaggerated all the heartless rants." The red head snickered. "Relax girl, no one who's been swooped off their feet by a hero hasn't fantasized before, safe space."

"...Right….." What the fuck just happened here? She shook her head. "Well, I'm close enough with Spidey to have a pet name, so.."

"Dang, nice. Not everyday you can get all friendly with a supe." The new girl laughed. "I mean, personally, I'd go for that Chat Noir guy. Black leather all over and a bell, seems like the kind of guy who knows how to have fun."

"Wha-" For some reason, that made Adrien trip over for a second.

"Oh, I should have figured you'd try and pick up a cat." The american smirked. "Rarely get to see the lovebirds for Chat Noir. It's mostly Ladybug people have a crush on."

"Eh, I kind of think she's overrated." The girl shrugged.

"Really, you too?" Chloe's eyes widened.

"I mean, the least she could do is crack a joke and hang with a fan." The red head said. "If you don't get to know the people you save, then are you really a hero?" Huh…. maybe this girl wasn't as bad as she thought.

"Alright, can we get back to posing?" The cameraman asked. "Give me a hug, the bonds of children, wrap your arms around each other like spaghetti!"

"What's with him and spaghetti?" The redhead asked as her and Adrikens got in position. "I thought that was a french stereotype you see in cartoons."

"I'm not entirely sure, I think it's an obsession." He replied, wrapping his arm around the girl's shoulder in a way that made Chloe want to rush into the spoilt and shove the girl down… but she needed to be better… for Spidey's sake, don't get in the way, don't get in the way, don't-

"What's Marinette doing?" That American boy looked up, seeing Dupain-cheng in some dumb little cloak, hiding behind one of the set pieces.

"Trash collecting probably, like the pathetic little girl usually does." Chloe guessed half heartedly.

"Well better than looking overly gaudy and so shiny it hurts the eyes."

"And you know all about being gaudy, wouldn't you?" She grumbled, walking away. Don't start another fight, don't create another akuma, don't start another fight. Why was she suddenly being targeted as the bad guy here? She wasn't doing anything wrong, she was just calling as it was. She wasn't the one acting super creepy and watching Adrikens from a distance like some stalker….

Wait, why WAS Maritrash hiding like that spying on Adrikens? Was she trying to sabotage the shoot? That little rat, that was her first original idea! On one hand, it was Maritash, and she didn't deserve the win. On the other … she would get to break up Adrikens and the red head without doing anything, and not making an akuma herself! Yeah, everyone would win in this scenario…..

Everyone except Spidey, who'd have to work with those incompetent losers against an akuma. And what if it was Adrikens himself that was akumatized!? Wait, if she exposed this to the world on the internet, she could ruin the girl! Crush her down so she'd never even THINK about fighting back, and Chloe would be morally right, because she was stopping her.

Yes, yes, this was perfect! THIS would be how she helped Spidey! Stopping the creation of akumas before they even happened! They wouldn't even need Ladyloser to purify the butterflies because the butterflies wouldn't even exist to begin with! Then Spidey could focus on his career, take her out on dates and eventually become the best couple in paris bar none!

Alright, she decided. She would stop Maritrash, expose that girl to the world, and get Spidey to see she was- "Sure thing Hawkmoth, I'll take that gamble!"-she was focusing so much on the decision she apparently completely missed everything.

"I'm not entirely sure, I think it's an obsession." Mary Jane listened to her partner explain as he wrapped an arm around her. "You think we should get him therapy?"

"Nah, if it builds a good work ethic, then why not?" She shrugged. She's worked with crazier before. Like that mutant dazzler chick, man was that concert crazy. "Besides, we should probably focus on curbing Peter's caffeine habit, I could smell the fumes a mile away."

"Oh my god yes." Adrien groaned. "Me and Nino are trying to set up an intervention with Alya, we could use the help. Do you know when it started?"

"Bout a year ago." She answered, offering a smile as the camera clicked. "Can't be to-" Mary Jane heard something from above. "Did you hear something?"

"Sounded like it was coming from the second floor." Adrien looked up, seeing one of the girl's see met earlier in what looked like a cloak looking down on them. "Is someone spying on us?"

"Eh, probably someone that wants to get close to the spotlight without being in it. I've dealt with that before." Long as the girl wasn't bothering them, it should be fine.

"Still, they look familiar… Marinette, is that you?"

"What-i-AHH!" The girl began flustering about, and fell over.

"Marinette!" Both Peter and Adrien screamed, looking like they were about to charge in as the girl fell over… right on top of Mary Jane.

SMACK

CREAK

"AHHHHHHHH! SON OF A BITCH!" Mary Jane cried out as found herself face to face with the floor, her right arm feeling sore and her left leg feeling a lot less stiff and movable than it did two seconds ago.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" The girl jumped off her, looking down with a pale face. "Ooooh that doesn't look good."

"NO SHIT SHERLOCK!" She cried out in pain as Peter helpled. "Ah, ah, ah!" She almost fell over. Yep, her leg was DEFINITELY broken.

"Just grit your teeth MJ, we know you've survived worse. Adrien, call an ambulance."

"On it, on it." Adrien nodded, getting his phone out right away.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it!" She cried out some more. That totally came out of nowhere. "What the heck were you going up there!?" Mary Jane shouted at the girl.

"I…uh…"

"What the heck was so important that it cost me an arm and a leg!?" She asked.

"I …" The girl looked away.

"Marinette, could you grab a splint or something?" Peter asked. "We need to correct the fractures so they don't end up crooked."

"Right, right…I'm sorry…I'm so, so sorry…" The girl apologized once more as she stumbled her way out of there.

"What the heck is her deal?" Mary Jane grumbled. She usually kept a cooler head than this, but that was before she had about a hundred and ten pounds land right ontop of her coming at five miles an our. "My arm, my leg…she just….broke them." Months of training, down the drain.

"Look, I'm sure it was an accident and-" Peter paused, his eyes looking at something else. "MJ, you need to calm down right now."

"Oh I'm calm, I'm as calm as can be knowing that this is going to set my career back by half a year, if not more!" She really didn't want to be angry, but it was impossible. "What the heck did I do wrong!? I was just doing my job and she just came out of nowhere! What, did the universe decide I need all the bad luck today to make up for all the good luck I had for the past ye-" Her soul opened up.

"Jackpot, I am Hawkmoth." A smooth voice stated.

"MJ, don't listen to the creep!"

"You had all your luck vanish, I can give you the power to take it from those who don't deserve it. All I ask in return is the miraculous of Ladybug and Chat Noir."

"Miraculou-what now?"

"Again with the out of towners? I'm starting to feel sick of this." The voice grumbled. "The jewels that grant them superpowers, ring and earings, trust me it'll be easier when you see it."

"Mary Jane, please, I know your stronger than this! Getting revenge won't make things better!"

"But it will even the score between you and Chloe…"

"What? Chloe didn't do this, it was some other girl."

"Wait really? Something this brutal feels more inline with Chloe's heartlessness". Even the bad guys thought that. The girl didn't seem that bad when she talked to her, just a little stuck up "... Well you can still even the score either way. You can take away all her good fortune and add it to your own! Your career, your life can be yours if your willing to take the risk!" Taking the risk …

"Sure thing Hawkmoth, I'll take that gamble!" She felt herself transform, her arms covered in golden bracers, her well endowed chest covered by a slot machine, her hair filled with a starlike pattern with the number seven printed on her leggings, as her leg fixed itself right back up.

"I got the ambulance!" Adrien shouted, coming back.

"I got the stilt!" Marinette walked back in with a couple of objects.

"And I have my bodily fluids threatening to leave my body cause MJ got akumatized!" Peter shouted.

"And I have your luck!" She ran up to Marinette, her hands glowing with a golden glow as she attempted to grab her.

"Marinette, run!" Peter shouted, rushing ahead and pushing the girl out of the way, making Mary Jane grab ahold of him instead.

"Not my target, but you'll do the same Peter!" She watched the energy transfer, feeling the slot machine on her body spin … getting triple diamond. "Oooh, that's a big win right there! No wonder you get out of situations so easily." She let the boy go.

"Peter!" The class shouted, looking in horror.

The boy in question stood there … patting himself over. "Hu … I'm not dead." There was a crash from a student trying to run, as the trash can from the second floor fell over and landed on Peter. "...But I feel my dignity fading away."

"Your luck is mine tiger." She grinned, kicking a camera as it bounced around, causing a chain reaction of falling objects as a locker fell in front of the door Marinette tried running through. "And soon, I'll take yours to Marinette!" She ran after the girl.

"First you gotta cross my path first!" A long metal pole formed in front of her as she was struck in the head. "Cause now a Chat Noir's about to reverse your luck!"

"Oooh, a bad cat against little ole me…it must really be my lucky day!" She smirked as she kicked the ground, causing a crack that leat all the way up to a wall and made a chunk of the ceiling fall on top of the sexy cat hero in leather. "Face it, Kitty, now you're dealing with JACKPOT!"

"Sorry lady, you couldn't pawsibly faze me." The cat smirked as he got out of the rubble, spinning his staff around. "I deal with bad luck every day. Part of the trade." He swung out his staff into her as she dodged.

"Then I guess you have nothing to worry about when I take it!" She ran up to that dj guy with a blindfold on his face, grabbing him as she got a couple of cherries on her slot machine. "Not what I'd prefer, but the extra luck's appreciated!" Jackpot ran forward, objects falling down to act as a stairway as she rushed right up to the hero to try and grab him.

"Sorry to spoil your fun, but this is a no gambling zone!" A yo-yo wrapped around her arm and pulled her hand away. "Your luck's just about out!"

"With you here now Ladybug, I think it's about time for a refill!" She yanked on the weapon, pulling herself up in the air as she tried to grab the hero. Unfortunately they rolled away, but fortunately Jackpot conveniently kept her hand on the Yo-Yo. "Now I'm going to test my luck at a little game I like to call ring around the bug." She threw the yo-yo raging one of the metal railings, which made the spotted hero fly off an slam right into the stairs face first. "Ladybugs aren't so lucky after all I guess. The only thing I might take from you is your dignity."

"Too late for that I'm afraid!" She turned to see a red blur land on the second floor balcony. "For the spectacular Spider-Man has arri-"

Crack

The second floor railing broke off as the web head fell to the ground, landing on a trash can and rolling over to another set of door before he stopped himself. "Sticky feet." He sighed in relief, leaning on something, I'm okay-"

Zap

Jackpot watched as the guy fell to the ground after leaning on a cable for the lights. "... Did I already get him?" She asked. "I only tagged like, two to three people."

"Interesting …" Hawkmoth spoke from the other end.

"Just… my magnetic personality…. attracting the danger… I eat for breakfast." The Spidey guy stood back up. "So lady, feeling lucky enough for another go?"

Jackpot grinned. "Sure thing Spider-Man. Make sure you don't die too quickly on me! It's not a gamble without thrill and risk!" That was what her entire life was after all. A life of adventure she could only get by going all or nothing.

"GAH! OW! PAIN!" Peter cried out as he landed on the floor. "... How … just how … have I fallen down TEN flights of stairs in the last five minutes!?" He shouted to the sky.

He had superhuman durability too, Peter couldn't even imagine what Nino, or what anyone else Jackpot got to, was going through. Of course Mary Jane as an akuma would be hard to fight, and not just because she was his friend. Maybe he should've let her take Marinette's luck. That probably would've given her enough bad luck to make this even.

"We're not exactly feeling peachy ourselves web head!" Chat groaned as Jackpot kicked a pebble into his eyes, making him step on a nearby mop bucket, tripping him into the art room where he got paint covered all over his body.

Ladybug crawled out of the home ec room, covered in fire and what looked like creme brulee. "Everything around her just acts along with her. I'd say take her to a desolated area if I wasn't half convinced it'd switch from mundane objects to supernatural disasters."

"I heard about a mutant once with a similar set of powers. What we consider to be 'lucky' is actually a form of low level of telekinesis sync up to her subconscious.." Spidey grumbled.

BEEP BEEP

A bus ran through the building, knocking Peter across the room. "... Low level you say?" Chat asked.

"Well she did get the luck of about three people already, that might extend the range so to speak." Ladybug mutters as a basketball hit her in the face.

"Go ahead and keep talking. It all only make it easier to grab your miraculous!" Jackpot shouted as they dodged another swing, only for them to be hit on the back of the head with a broken flagpole.

"Spidey, Chat, I need the lucky charm, but I'm gonna need a long distraction of at least twenty seconds."

"On it." Spidey raised his hand. "Adhe-" He was hit with a bird. "Adhe-" A roof tile. "Adhe-" A painting. "I can't aim at her if everything's flying at me!"

"Then I'm gonna have to add some back luck of my own!" Chat cracked his neck as he leapt right towards her. "Cataclysm!"

"Bat move kitty!" Jackpot shouted, her hand rushing to the ring as the purple mask ran up her face. "Wha-"

"NO!" Chat screamed as she grabbed his hand … and for a second, nothing happened.

Then the roulette on Jackpot's chest started to spin … a lot longer than it normally did. "What's happening!? Why can't I feel your luck?!

"I … think she absorbed the luck of a cataclysm." Ladybug said with wide eyes.

"But that's like, destruction right?" Spidey asked. "It kills energy and inertia … if anything it's more like …" The roulette finally stopped spinning … landing on triple cats. "... Bad luck."

"What-" Lightning formed in the sky and struck Jackpot dead on. "Ahhhhhhjh!" A meteor came next and crushed her into a crater. "What the d flying-"

Beeep beep

The bus from earlier came in and rolled over her. "All right, now the tables have tur-" A truck came in and rammed Spidey into a wall. "Right….still unlucky.."

"Don't think that's our only problem." Ladybug pointed to the sky, where it looked like a tornado of fire was forming. "Jackpot's bad luck is going to kill us all at this rate!" She shouted. "We need to find Peter, he was the closest when this happened, he should know where the akuma was."

"Ah, right, that skinny noodled limbed American kid, I ran into him on my way over, guy fell into a garbage truck that went speeding into traffic. He told me the story."

"And you didn't think to mention that when the bus ran through the wall?" Chat asked.

"Was walking off a concussion or two." Great, now his identity was compromised with the luck thing. "Anyway, I heard him say it might be in her neck claw. She keeps a picture of her aunt inside." Anna Watson, kind woman just like aunt May.

"Found it!" Chat said, searching her clothes and breaking it.

"No more evildoing for you little akuma, time to de-evilize!" She threw the yo-yo, stock footagey as always. "Bye bye little butterfly." She waved off. "Now for the damage. Lucky Charm!" The object spun around in the air, until a cloak like the one Marinette had earlier formed in her hands. "... I understand." The girl sighed. What was that about. "Miraculous Ladybug!"

The sky's cleared away as the damage was undone. The various timing sounds in his head finally disappeared too. "Weird, usually people are supposed to say MY name to release a jinx." He quipped.

"You run your mouth so much that just saying your name would never be enough." Chat grinned, helping up MJ. "Are you alright? You took a couple of hard hits near the end."

"Eh, I've been hit with harder. Pro tip for the future, never be downtown between an angry juggernaut and a hungry hulk." Mary Jane shook it off as she stood up, arm and leg healed as well. "Gotta say, never experienced anything like that before. That was surreal."

"Akuminixation is like that. It comes when you least expect it and manipulates your negative emotions." Chat reassured her. "Once you get past that, you'll come to find that Paris is a lovely place to visit."

She looked the cat up and down with a smirk. "Well I can clearly see it has lovely sights." Oh boy, guess Mary Jane was serious about being a cat fan. "Your luck's so bad it made me good, and I think good kitties should be rewarded."

"Uh…" Chat nervously held his hands up as he backed away. "No need to thank me, just helping out however I can, that's all.

"Maybe another time then." She kept the smirk, turning to Ladybug. "Thanks for the heal by the way, sorry I called you a stiff hero. You seem pretty chill actually."

"You wha-never mind, I won't hold it against you." Ladybug shook her head, checking her earrings. "We should probably head out now, probably should find the kids whose luck were taken away and make sure they're safe."

"Good point." He nodded, throwing out his chain. "Enjoy your day young lady!" Best not to talk too much to Mary Jane like this. If anyone could figure out it was him under the mask from his voice and appearance, it was her, quantum masking be damned.

Adrien smiled as he took a bite of the sandwich. Since the akuma attack kind of ruined the shoot, he and MJ decided to split the difference of their little wager for paying for the entire class's lunch. The setting was just better for breaking the ice between everyone.

"It's been a while since I had junk food." MJ said with a smile, actually eating a pretty greasy looking burger.

"You know, maybe you do have a superpower." Peter snarked. "Eating whatever you want and not gaining any weight."

"Or it just goes to the right places." She grinned. "And at least I don't drink so much coffee that I'm stunting my growth."

"Hey, I'm the perfect height for a boy my age." Peter defended. "And I reiterate, coffee stunting growth is a myth."

"Maybe, but it's probably not doing your blood sugar any favors." Adrien reminded him.

"Hey, I survived a stream of bad luck baring one garbage truck, I think my sugar's fine." Peter grinned. "And at least I get sugar in my diet."

"True that. Father's probably gonna lecture me after this." He accepted, taking another bite.

"Sticking it to the old man. Hah, I can get behind that." Mary Jane laughed. "Mine couldn't care less where I am. So when I call him later and say I'm halfway across the world, his brain's going to explode from shock that 'Brainy Janey' is making something of herself.

"Do I need to get you in touch with FEAST?" Adrien asked. "They already took in a streamer girl."

"Nah. Aunt Anna is my legal guardian now. Has been for a long time." She answered. "It's one of the things me and Peter agree on, Aunts and Uncles are, majority of the time, more awesome than parents."

"How messed up is it in America?" He heard Marientte mutter before clearing her throat. "Mary Jane, I'm sorry, like, really sorry about what happened earlier, I just… what happened…"

"Hey, cool it girl. Water under the bridge." Mary Jane laughed. "I'm not the type a gal to hold a grudge. Whatever happened two hours ago stays back two hours ago."

"This is so surreal." Alya muttered as she drunk her soda. "It's like a female Peter, but she traded in her brains for her looks."

"Eh, being an egghead didn't take for me." Mj shrugged. "Part of why I got lasik. I keep telling Peter he wouldn't have girl problems if he just switched to contacts at least."

"Are you kidding? If I didn't have glasses I couldn't pull off the nerd look." Peter shook his head. "Max gets me, right?" He was rewarded with a silent fist bump. "See, glasses are just apart of our charm. "

"Preach." Nino and Alya held their hands in the air together.

"So what are your plans for once we wrap up the shoot?" Adrian asked.

"I'm scheduled to do a shoot in London before heading back to the states." She answered as she took another bite. "My manager wanted to come by France first so he could, and I quote, 'rub one in the face of Gabriel Agreste'."

"Your manager hates Gabriel Agreste?" Peter asked with sparkly eyes. "MJ, you found yourself a keeper."

"Well I know what my father is going to be doing tonight." His rivalry with Rodrick Kingsley was starting to make him worried for his father… well, more worried than he usually was. Plus side, no lecture on junk food!

"Hey, chin up." Mary Jane smiled. "Little moments like this are always going to outshine anything else in the long run. When you're old and gray and finally live a long enough life to reflect on it… moments like this will be what you treasure the most."

"Yeah … it probably will be." With his friends as Adrien, and with his friends as Chat Noir.

"So, not that you have to ask, but there wouldn't happen to be a boy waiting for you back in the us….or girl if that's what you into." Marinette asked. "Not that I'm trying to push you to revealing private details about your life-"

"Trust me girl, it takes a lot for me to get interested in a guy." MJ smiled at Marinette reassuringly. "Right now I think the coolest guy around is Chat Noir." Adrien nearly choked on his food. "You alright, pretty boy?"

"Yeah, totally fine, just… went down the wrong pipe." He probably should've let the girl down like he did with Marinette. Last thing he needed was to accidentally give the girl the wrong idea.

"Glad to see your dreams of romance have not been obliterated." Peter grinned. "There's hope for brainiacs yet."

"Don't worry Tiger, I'm sure the perfect gal for you is waiting right around the corner." MJ assured him

"ADRIKENS!? WHERE ARE YOU!?" Chloe yelled from outside the restaurant. Apparently she couldn't process the idea that he would go out to eat something 'full of carbs and grease."

"...Maybe not around this corner." Peter muttered. "The only good thing out of today is that she didn't cause another akuma."

"She's not that bad." MJ and Adrien said at the same time.

"Debatable." The rest of class said in near perfect unison.

"Wow, never told me you became part of a cult Peter." MJ snickered.

"We keep it on the downlow. Our weekly kool-aid party is tomorrow."

"Ah shoot, I'll miss the sermon then." Mary Jane laughed. She was defientely a fun person to have around…someone Adrian wouldn't mind being around a little more…as a friend obviously. His heart still rang true for only his lady.
