In Marinette's bedroom...
Marinette sat at her desk, making Uraraka's gloves. Tikki and Plagg flew around her room as Adrien sat on her lounge chair. He ate a sandwich and drink made by Marinette's parents. His eyes sparkled as he finished it all.
"Wow! That's a good sandwich!" Adrien commented, "I can see why you eat these all the time!"
"Yeah. Any scraps of fresh bread we sometimes use for dinner," Marinette said as she was more focused on the gloves.
Marinette sewed the seems around the glove together. She even added a special pink padding around her fingertips to give it more protection. She lifted it up to get a better look at it and smiled widely at it.
"These are looking pretty good," Marinette said as she admired it, "Ochaco is going to love these."
Adrien put down his plate and got up to look at them. He looked over her shoulder and was surprised with how amazing they were coming out.
"That's looks really good! It's so cool to finally see you making something like this," Adrien said to her.
"I know, right? I didn't think I'd actually be doing this until Ochaco needed some gloves," Marinette said back, "It's not a hero costume, but it's still a great start."
Marinette went back to sewing it together and noticed that she needed some more fabric. She got up from her desk and reached into a drawer nearby for a dark navy blue color. She found some, but then noticed that her cabinet was tilted and broken. As she got closer, she noticed that her Miracle Box was still in there. For a moment, she got nervous and thought something bad happened to her Miraculous.
Then she remembered Midoriya mentioning something about him accidentally breaking her cabinet. She just forgot about it for a while.
"Are you okay, Marinette?" Adrien asked her.
"Ye-Yeah. I just thought something happened to the Miracle Box," Marinette said to him, "Izuku told me that he accidentally broke it during the scavenger hunt. I just totally forgot about it."
Even Adrien looked nervous there a moment. Tikki and Plagg flew down to check on the Miracle Box.
"Thank goodness it was just Izuku," Tikki said to them.
"Yeah. Lucky it wasn't someone like Chrysalis," Plagg said, but then Tikki gave him a dirty glare.
Marinette opened the cabinet and took out the Miracle Box. She held it in her hands and noticed how much lighter it was. Then she remembered that she gave away all of her Miraculous. She doesn't have to worry about someone like Chrysalis and HawkMoth taking them away now. She looked down at the Miracle Box, feeling a little upset.
"Marinette, I'm sure the Kwamis are all okay," Adrien said to her.
"Yeah, I understand. It's just not having them around feels really weird," Marinette said back, "I'm the Guardian of the Miraculous. That means that I'm supposed to look after the Miraculous and protect them. Isn't it weird if I just give everyone these Miraculous?"
Adrien looked down at the Miracle Box and then back up at her. She looked a little upset, but he knew that she'd get through this. He walked up to her and gently caressed her hand still holding it.
"Marinette even if you give them all away, you're still the Guardian of the Miraculous. I actually think that this just proves that you are a great Guardian. You're willing to trust others with something special and unique, and if they need you, you'll be the first one they'll come to for help," Adrien said to her.
Marinette felt so light on her feet as he smiled so brightly to her. Something about the way he said it and looked at her made her feel so much better. She couldn't believe that she even gave them all away. For a moment, she actually thought that Su Han was going to show up and take them back. After all this time, she was surprised that he never showed up during all of this commotion with Class 1-A.
"You know, I really thought Su Han would show up and ruin things with Class 1-A. I'm actually surprised that he never showed up," Marinette said to him.
"Why would you want him to show up? He doesn't even do anything. He lets us do all of the fighting while he hides in a trashcan," Adrien said to her.
"Yeah. He's kind of does, doesn't he?" Marinette said back, "Well, whatever he's up to, I'm just glad that he won't interfere with Class 1-A leaving Japan."
Suddenly, Marinette and Adrien heard something up on her balcony. Then they both witnessed Su Han come in from the balcony door and slide down the railing. Marinette and Adrien stood there wide eyed as the guy they just mentioned came sliding in to see them.
Marinette instinctively put down the Miracle Box and blocked it from his view.
"Marinette, what're you doing giving away all of the Miraculous?!" Su Han cried out, "You're supposed to be guarding them, not giving them all away like store bought candy. By the way, that stuff is absolutely delicious."
"I'm sorry, Su Han but I had to," Marinette said to him, "There are some things that have happened, and I needed to give them away. You haven't been around at all to help me, so this actually has nothing to do with you."
"She's right," Adrien said to him, standing up for her, "You were no help when we defeated HawkMoth, and we could've used your help when Chrysalis took the Butterfly Miraculous. You should really work on your timing."
Su Han gave Adrien a suspicious look and stood up straight to him.
"And you are? Marinette clearly told you who she is. So she broke a rule as a guardian. First losing all of the Miraculous, and now this," Su Han said to them.
"No. She's didn't break any rule. I'm Adrien Agreste, but I'm also Cat Noir. We found out who we were a while ago. This is what Marinette means by not being around," Adrien said to him.
"Marinette. Have you gotten any of the Miraculous back since you defeated HawkMoth?" Su Han asked her with a serious look on his face.
"Actually, yes. I got all of them back. I just need to stop Chrysalis from getting to Japan," Marinette explained.
"Japan? You mean the Butterfly Miraculous? Why would Chrysalis go there?" Su Han asked back with a suspicious look.
"Well, it's kind of a long story," Marinette said as she stepped away from the Miracle Box.
Su Han sat on the lounge chair, making himself at home. Marinette and Adrien didn't like where this was going.
"I don't have anywhere to go," Su Han said to them, "You might as well inform me with what you've been up to. If you don't, I might as well take the Miracle Box and go."
Marinette and Adrien shared a look and both knew what to do.
"Okay fine. Well, it kind of started when this class from another Japan showed up in Paris..."
After talking about Class 1-A and all that they've done for them, Su Han started to calm down a little. She explained who they were and the fact that they were born with superpowers called quirks. They promised that they would find a way to get them home, but tried not to use their Miraculous to do it. But once she started to get into Midoriya being captured by HawkMoth, he began to pace around the room.
"So these special heroes in training got HawkMoth and Chrysalis interested in them? Well, that's just great," Su Han said to them, "So they are both interested in going to Japan? A place where there are a lot of heroes and quirks?!"
Marinette could tell this wasn't going so well. Even Adrien looked like he didn't know what to say to that.
"I understand why you're upset, but they're going home tomorrow," Marinette said to him, "You'd know that if you were around more often. You're also not easy to find. It's not like I can just call you or anything."
"That doesn't matter. You're still helping these people get home when the Butterfly Miraculous is still out there," Su Han said to her, "If I were you, you should stop this nonsense and make them stay until you defeat this Chrysalis."
"Su Han, you don't understand. They have to go home," Marinette said back, "There are friends that are helping them get home. That's why we have to do this tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? There's no way I'm letting you do this," Su Han said to her, "I order you to give me your Miraculous and the Miracle Box. Now."
Marinette instinctively kept her earrings shielded from him and stepped closer to the Miracle Box.
"N-No. Su Han, just at least help us get them home," Marinette said back, "You can finally help us get the Butterfly Miraculous back. Don't you want that? Your help would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sure everyone would love to meet you."
"Yeah. You can finally do something about Chrysalis instead of hiding all the time," Adrien said to him, "We can finally be done with this whole mess."
Su Han gave them both a shocked look and started pacing back and forth. Marinette and Adrien shared a look as they waited nervously for his decision. He looked up and had a serious look on his face.
"Alright. I'll help you on this mission," Su Han said to them.
Marinette and Adrien cheered and embraced each other in a hug.
"On one condition. After this is all over, you'll give me the Butterfly Miraculous to me," Su Han said to them.
For once, Marinette was totally okay with this. She had enough trouble with it out there, she might as well just be done with it.
"It's a deal, Su Han," Marinette said as she shook his hand, "Thank you for helping us. You have no idea how much this means to me."
"So, let's go to the school," Su Han said to them, "Introduce me to your friends. I'm sure they would love to know what's going on."
"Umm... Actually everyone's probably asleep already. Maybe you can meet up with us in the morning," Marinette said to him.
"Fine. I'll see you on the balcony the moment the sun rises," Su Han said to them, "Good night, Marinette and Adrien."
Su Han soon climbed up to the balcony so smoothly and left Marinette's room. Marinette and Adrien looked at each other without saying a word. It was so quiet that it felt weird to see Su Han just now.
"Well, that just happened," Adrien said to her.
"Yeah, and now I'm going to have to deal with Su Han showing up at the school," Marinette said to him, "Right now, all I want to do is get back to sewing Ochaco's gloves, take a hot shower and go to bed."
Adrien watched Marinette sewing Uraraka's gloves, wondering if he should pack up and leave. He felt bad for bothering her, so he started to pick up his things and pack them into his school bag.
"Well, I guess I'll go then," Adrien said to her.
Marinette turned around in her chair and looked shocked to him leave. Her cheeks were looking red as she pushed her hair back behind her ear.
"Umm... You can stay if you want," Marinette said to him, "I have sheets, blankets and pillows downstairs if you want me to get them."
Adrien felt his cheeks turn red and rubbed the back of his head. He suddenly felt really hot in the room and fumbled with his school bag.
"Umm... S-Sure, I-I can stay. I'll stay here and watch you sew," Adrien said to her, "I like watching you work on something like this."
Marinette felt a little fluttering feeling come over her and accidentally poked her finger with the needle.
"Ow! That hurt," Marinette said as she let go of the needle and looked at her finger.
She accidentally drew a little bit of blood, and Adrien looked at it to help her out.
"Here. Let me help you," Adrien said to her.
Adrien gently grabbed her hand and kissed her finger to make it feel better. She felt her heart fluttering like crazy as her cheeks began to turn red. For a long time, she just stared at Adrien and his gorgeous green eyes. They looked like two emeralds shining in the low light.
"Th-Thank you, Adrien, but I should grab a band aid," Marinette said to him.
She fumbled her way through her drawers to look for a band aid. Soon enough, she found one and quickly put it on. After she took care of that, she soon went back to sewing the gloves. She sewed both of the gloves and just had to finish sewing the pink paddings around her fingertips. Adrien watched her from a distance so he wasn't in the way. After about another half hour, she finally finished the gloves.
Marinette held them up, looking really satisfied with her gloves. She smiled at them, feeling really proud of herself.
"Finally, I finished them," Marinette said to him.
"They look great! Ochaco will absolutely love them," Adrien said to her, "Hopefully her quirk will be okay."
"Yeah. She was really nervous about Chrysalis going after her and Izuku," Marinette said back, "For some reason, she's the key to getting them through to Japan. Obviously this has something to do with her Miraculous. We need to be careful around both Chrysalis and Ochaco."
"She really looked a little nervous about it earlier. Did you really think Chrysalis will go after her?" Adrien asked her.
Marinette looked at the gloves that she made and tried it on. They fit really well, but were still a little big on her. Remembering how strong her quirk felt when she was trying to heal her, she wondered how things were going to go tomorrow. Something about that moment felt really good, and she could feel how strong her quirk had gotten.
"Yes. I do," Marinette said to him, "With how things went down between them, you and I both know that Lila holds grudges. Ochaco took the Fox Miraculous from her, she broke out of HawkMoth's lair and interrupted her chances at getting quirks with that stupid machine of hers."
Adrien looked at her with a worried look on his face.
"Yeah, I'd say she's gotten in the way more than you have," Adrien said to her, "At least she's not focusing on you so much right now. We could probably take advantage of that tomorrow."
"Yeah. Hopefully it's a lot easier than it seems," Marinette said, "I mean, we do have our teammates back. They look like they are doing great at hero training."
"Yeah, except for Katsuki," Adrien said, "I don't know what's going on with this guy. It looks like he's training, but I never see him doing it. He's planning something behind our backs. I just know it."
"We'll just have to keep an eye on him. Maybe Chloe can look after him for us."
"Speaking of her, doesn't it seem weird that they're basically together?" Adrien asked, "I mean, Katsuki might be leaving. Chloe has to know that by now."
"I feel kind of bad for her. She really likes him," Marinette said, "Yeah Katsuki can be a bit hot headed, but she seems to be helping him a lot lately."
"Yeah. It's kind of nice to have her around like this again," Adrien said, "I really missed that."
Marinette smiled down at the gloves and put them away in her school bag.
"Yeah. I did, too."
Marinette got up from her chair and stretched. She quickly felt pretty tired and really wanted to take a shower now.
"Alright. I'm going to take a shower. I'll go get your blankets and pillows when I get back," Marinette said to him.
Marinette noticed Adrien move in closer and caressed her chin, very Cat Noir like. She felt her heart skip a beat as she locked eyes with him.
"Maybe I can join you," Adrien said with a flirty smile.
Marinette's eyes widened in shock and felt her heart beat racing. She suddenly felt herself slide away from him and towards the bedroom door.
"U-Uh, umm... N-No th-thank you, Adrien. B-But I ap-appreciate you asking. N-Not that I would want to! I-I ju-just need to be alone," Marinette stuttered as she fumbled for the door, "I-I'll be ri-right back with your stuff."
Marinette walked down the stairs fanning herself. She felt so hot in the room that getting out felt so much better. With her parents already in bed, Tikki floated down there to follow her.
"Marinette, do you really think Su Han can help us defeat Chrysalis?" Tikki asked her, "You never even explained Izuku, Katsuki and Ochaco's Miraculous to him. He might take away their Miraculous when they are actually their quirks."
Marinette never even thought about that. She froze in place and thought about it for a moment.
"Oh my gosh, I completely forgot all about that," Marinette said back.
She then took a deep breath in and out.
"You know what, I will deal with it tomorrow. Tonight, I just want to enjoy a nice, hot shower and go to bed..."
And then she remembered Adrien is waiting for her. In her bedroom. She felt her face go bright red and ran to the bathroom.
"With Adrien?! I-I have Adrien in my room! I-I can't believe this!" Marinette cried out, "Tikki, this is crazy!"
"More crazy than heroes in training showing up from another Japan?" Tikki said to her.
"You've gotta point there," Marinette said to her Kwami.
Marinette splashed some cold water from the sink and soon felt a lot better. Once she was able to relax, she smiled at the mirror and got ready to take her nice hot shower. As she settled down for the night, she hoped things would work out tomorrow.
Another amazing chapter!
This was actually pretty interesting to write! It wasn't much, but I didn't even think about adding Su Han until just now! Su Han is back! I wasn't sure at first, but after a while of writing it, it just worked out really well. I thought it was funny that he never showed up during the story. It just kind of works for his character considering he's barely around in the series anyway. I thought it would make things interesting.
Finally the day's come! They are about to go home to Japan soon!
