There is a couple on the couch while outside the world seems to have been coming to an end, "I wish I could help you with what is going on."
"Graham, it isn't your fault, even Liam has gone bonkers."
"I know, I just wonder why only those who traveled in the TARDIS didn't get infected by whatever this is. I am worried about Ryan."
"What is he doing?"
"Ace, he isn't telling me. I think Kate sent him on a mission. No update to his YouTube since before he left."
"Is there anything I can do?"
"Sadly, I don't think so." Graham falls back against the couch as she grabs his hand.
"I am by your side for anything and everything, just like you are mine."
"I know that, and I appreciate that. It sucks that I have to worry about him out there and those who may hate him for what he cannot control."
"He's a grown man, Graham." She leans against him. "I know I can't help you right now, but can I distract you," she tries to flirt, hand moving along his chest.
"You want to distract me?"
"Always, you are my greatest distraction after all." He raises one eyebrow questioning her, "all good, deliriously good."
"Ace."
"Shhh," she placed her hand more firmly on his chest to get him to lie down on the couch. "You know I am doing this because I want to, right, and not because of what is going on?"
"My Phoenix, we have been together for how long now?"
"It feels like a year."
"Almost, after the first meeting. Which was a few months after we saw the Doc last and met."
"That was a wonderful kiss, want another one?" Not wanting a reply, she smashes her lips onto his, not waiting for his mouth to open she forces it open with her tongue. A moan escapes as a phone goes off. "I am not going to answer that." She says through the kiss. The two continue on the couch when there is a knock on the door. They ignore it as it opens.
"Can the two of you keep your hands off each other for five minutes," they recognize the voice and sit up. "Though it does explain why you didn't answer my phone."
"Mel, there is a reason I wasn't answering."
"Yeah, making out with your live-in boyfriend."
"I was distracting him in the best way."
"It was successful, now I am back to worrying about Ryan being out there."
"No need to worry about that anymore," Mel says with a smile growing on her face.
"Whatcha mean," Graham asks.
"The Doctor and his companion helped."
"Wait," Ace stands up, "you saw the Doctor again?"
"Sit down, Kate asked the two of you to help with this and you both said no." After Ace sits back down Graham puts his arm around the back of the couch. Mel smiles as she watches her friend relax into it. "Not only did I see them again, I watched them and also helped them regenerate into two Doctors."
"What happened that made the Professor regenerate twice?"
"Only once into two of them. Donna, his companion, helped with the current regeneration by pulling his arm and I helped get the other."
"What," both Ace and Graham ask in unison.
"One body became two," Mel notices a smile of devilishness come across Ace's face.
"Two bodies usually become one, especially in my case for the past year."
"Ace," Graham moans her name, eyes going wide.
"Oh, I know, remember what I came in on," Mel adds while laughing.
"It wouldn't have gone that far; I know my Graham."
"Your Graham huh?"
"Her Graham is right here; can we get back to talking about what is going on right now. You say the world is going back to normal."
"I am and one of the Doctor's is going to be staying here for a bit to work through a few things."
"What things," asks Graham, "I know when we met Captain Jack he talked about a Rose. We asked the Doc about Rose; she didn't explain who Rose was. Then again, we never learned about anyone."
"That must be normal, the Doctor never mentioned to Donna that she wasn't the first red head."
"The Professor never likes talking about things."
"I remember the night you told me about that one dream you had before your meeting," Graham says, rubbing her arm.
"I bet you remember what happened later."
"How can I not," Mel looks between the couple who is sharing a secretive smile.
"What happened?"
"Let's just say Graham slept really well that night and it gave me a totally different reason to walk funny for a few days."
"Me too, though I didn't have any secrets to keep from anyone."
"Ryan had left a few days before so you wouldn't get looks from him."
"What did you see in your dream?"
"Now that will stay somewhere safe, I may want to have it again."
"I agree, if a repeat of what happened after can happen again."
"Well, I am going to let the two be by yourselves. Ace don't hurt him. Before I forget those that traveled in the TARDIS were immune to what was going on."
"She would nurse me back in the best ways."
"Graham," it's now Ace's turn to be shocked at him as Mel laughs when she leaves.
"So, do you want to call Ryan first or," she runs her middle finger up and down his chest.
"I am conflicted."
"How conflicted?"
"More than I have in the past year." His phone goes off.
"I guess that will stop you, answer it; it's probably Ryan."
Ace gets off the couch, Graham reaches for her hand, "we can continue this later."
"The rest of our lives," she bends down and gives him a soft kiss. "I am going to the kitchen. Check on Tegan and ask how John Nathan is doing."
"John Nathan was infected with it?"
"He was."
"You need to check on Tegan."
"You need to call Ryan back." Ace hands him his phone and takes hers into the kitchen.
"Hey Ryan, how is everything going now?"
"Better, everyone is back to acting like how they were before a few days ago."
"It had to do with an old enemy of the Doctors."
"Of course it is, how is Ace?"
"She is doing fine, calling Tegan."
"What about her charity?"
"She dealt with something similar in the past few years. This time she was told by Kate to take a step back after Kate herself got that armband."
"Ace listened?"
"She isn't bad, you know that. How many times have you met her?"
"Many times, and I like her; you know that. She's great for you. She's just a little."
"Strong, kindhearted."
"Sorry, I didn't mean anything. Ace is what you needed to move on from Nan."
"I know, look, you take care of yourself, and I know what has happened is over and done with."
"I know; you too and take care of Ace. I got to go; Kate told me to call you."
"Well thanks for checking in. I know you're busy. You can't even make your posts."
"You know that?"
"I check in on ya. You do what you need to and hurry back. We need to talk about something important."
"I'll try."
"Good."
Meanwhile in the kitchen, "how is John Nathan doing now?"
"He hasn't come by yet."
"You should know we were immune to what was going on because we traveled in the TARDIS."
"So because my son never met the Doctor and traveled in the TARDIS he was in danger."
"Tegan, you know John Nathan loves you."
"Especially after his Dad said all those things about me."
"Probably even worse when everything just happened."
"You locked yourself away with Graham."
"It was only for two days."
"So much happened in those two days."
"I just want to see my son."
"What happened between the two of you?"
"We were having a meal together when that sound happened and he snapped at me saying why don't I go to Terminus to find her."
"Nyssa."
"Yeah, the reason for my last divorce."
"Tegan, you are gay."
"So and you are."
"Bi which Graham knows about. He quickly found out."
"How?"
"I told him before we got serious."
"That's good."
"What if we found out a way to get Nyssa here."
"Like that can happen," Ace can hear a bell going off on Tegan's end. "Someone's at the door, I got to see who that is."
"Give John Nathan my love."
"How do you know it's him?"
"You're his Mum and something major just happened. I am going to see if Graham is off the phone with Ryan."
"Spend more time with him."
"I love him and we kept each other calm these past few days."
"Talk to you later Ace."
"Bye Tegan." After they hang up the wheels in her head start to turn. Looking into the living room, she smiles at Graham relaxing on the couch.
