Sunday morning, Bill went to his office before the wedding. As he walked in the door, he heard the phone ringing. He ran over to his desk and picked up the receiver. "Hello, yes Fiona, you can connect him. Patrick, it's early. What did you find out? How did he do that? I guess we don't need to worry about him then. Have you found out anything about how he was released? I understand. Yes, please keep me updated." Bill hung up the phone and sat at his desk, taking notes on what Superintendent O'Reilly had told him.

Bill looked at the paper after writing it all down and slipped the paper into his jacket pocket. He walked out of the office and he saw Gabe's horse tied up outside the Mountie office. He was going to walk over to the cafe but he made a stop at the Mountie office to fill Gabe in on everything. He didn't want to bother Nathan today with the wedding later tonight. He had talked to Nathan the day before and he told Bill that he was going to nap before the wedding so he would be able to dance with Elizabeth.

"Bill, I didn't expect to see you before the wedding today. I was just about to do my rounds," Gabe said.

"I got a call from headquarters. Superintendent O'Reilly said they were notified yesterday that Charles left on a ship to England."

"What? How did he manage that? I thought the Mounties were looking for him and everything was being watched."

"It should have been. There were tickets waiting at the dock for Charles and Edward. Both of them left on the ship and the man who helped them board was paid to not tell anyone they were on board. Someone found out after the ship had already left and the man who helped them was arrested."

"But who left tickets for them?"

"There are a lot of questions right now. I was going to wait to tell Nathan until after the wedding but I wanted to tell you since we were concerned that Charles could show up. Will I see you later at the wedding?"

"I might stop by the reception. Jesse invited me yesterday at the saloon."

"See you later then."

Elizabeth went early with Rosemary to help Clara get ready in the dress shop. Fiona had offered to help with all of their hair for the wedding. The women had tea when they first got there. Elizabeth and Rosemary remembered their weddings and how busy the day would be. They wanted to give Clara a moment of peace before starting to get ready. Elizabeth and Rosemary had both put on their dresses while Clara was putting on her makeup and Fiona was helping with her hair.

Rosemary walked out first with Elizabeth behind her. "Oh you both look wonderful!" Clara said. "The dresses are perfect!"

Fiona said, "Ok Clara you are ready." Fiona held out a mirror for Clara to check her work.

"Thank you so much for your help today Fiona, you did a beautiful job."

"You really did Fiona, maybe after the wedding you can help me with my hair," Elizabeth said.

"I'd love to. Clara, why don't we get you in your dress. It's almost time!"

Fiona put on her dress and all the ladies were in awe. Rosemary had outdone herself with the design. Rosemary had made the dress new in just a day. She was happy to do it and she was thrilled that Clara loved it. After all the ladies were dressed and after a final check of hair and makeup, they all got into Lee's car that was waiting outside. Fiona drove them to the church so no one would see Clara before the wedding and the dresses wouldn't get dirty on the walk over. As they got out of the car, all of them could hear the music coming from the church. They walked up the stairs to get ready for the entrance.

Nathan sat in the church on the aisle. He had dropped off Allie at Elizabeth's house before walking over to the church that morning. He was starting to feel stronger every day. Even so, he took it easy that afternoon so he would be sure to be able to make it to the reception with Elizabeth. He was looking forward to spending time with her tonight. As the processional music started, Rosemary entered the church first. Nathan looked over and saw Lee smiling at his wife. It was clear that they were still very much in love.

As Rosemary reached the front, Nathan turned and there she was. Elizabeth was walking up the aisle in a beautiful dress. She looked forward until she caught his eyes on the side on the church. Her eyes brightened and her smile was different as she looked at him. They only had eyes for each other until she needed to walk past him to the front of the church. Nathan kept his eyes on her even as Clara walked into the church. Rosemary chuckled next to Elizabeth as she noticed the look between them. Perhaps Elizabeth would be walking down another aisle soon.

The ceremony was beautiful and soon everyone made their way over to the saloon for the reception. Lucas had offered to provide the food for the reception and Jesse and Clara were very appreciative. The town was all gathered as people sat down to eat and talk amongst friends. After a little while, Jesse and Clara cut the wedding cake over to the side. Nathan walked over to where Elizabeth was standing with a glass of punch for them both.

He handed her a glass as he spoke, "You looked beautiful walking down the aisle."

"You looked very handsome in your suit sitting in the church," Elizabeth said with a smile.

"It was a beautiful wedding."

"Yes it was. All the weddings in the church have been beautiful."

"Have there been a lot of weddings there?"

"I think all of the weddings since the schoolhouse have been built have been there. Although I don't know why no one has ever gotten married outside. I think that would be perfect," Elizabeth said.

Nathan leaned down and whispered to her, "I'll keep that in mind."

Elizabeth looked up at him as he winked at her and her heart started to speed up. 'How could this man make her feel like she never had before,' she wondered.

"It's time for Clara to throw the bouquet!" Rosemary said from across the room.

Elizabeth handed Nathan her drink and she walked over to where the rest of the women were gathered. Clara smiled as the women were laughing and gathered in a circle. Clara turned with her back to them and threw the bouquet over her head. It was almost like destiny. The bouquet went right into Elizabeth's waiting hands. She smiled and looked down at the flowers in her hands as everyone else congratulated her. She didn't look at anyone but instead looked over to where Nathan was standing.

He looked back at her with a crooked smile, his eyes serious. He had set their drinks down on the table next to him and his hands were in his pockets. Elizabeth thought he looked so irresistible that she said thank you to a few people and began to walk straight over to him. "I caught it," Elizabeth said as she stood right in front of Nathan.

"I see that. I hope you know that it doesn't scare me at all, Elizabeth."

"I'm glad." The two of them stood there with the flowers between them. Carson. Saw them standing still like that and he took a photo of them. He had been taking photos of the wedding and he just happened to walk by at that moment. He didn't say anything but thought he would give it to them later as a surprise.

"Would you like to dance Mrs. Thornton?"

"Yes, Nathan. I'd love to."

Nathan looked at her curiously but then let her to the dance floor. Usually when he joked and called her 'Mrs. Thornton', she joked right back and called him 'Constable'. The fact that she called him 'Nathan' meant something. It wasn't that things weren't already serious between them. It was that there was a promise of things to come, especially with the bouquet.

Elizabeth held the bouquet in her hand that was behind Nathan's back. He held her other hand against his chest. The two of them danced slowly, swaying back and forth. They didn't hear when the dance changed from one song to another. Lee and Rosemary came and cut in after the third dance, much to Nathan's disappointment. Nathan walked Elizabeth home at the end of the night and they shared kisses on the way home until they sat on the porch for a few minutes to watch the stars. It was a perfect night. One that both of them would write about in the journals to remember.
