Chapter 110 – The Next Day

The day born cloudy and cold. Unlike the other days, the kids were still in bed, not only because they went to bed late, but because they were tired, and since it was a special day, their parents decided to let them stay in bed a little longer.

The only one who actually woke up at the same hour for his diaper change and bottle, was, as usual, Lukey, who at 7 am was already awake.

It was 8 at the time, and some of the adults were already in the dining room, having breakfast.

Luke, Ines alongside their parents and Leia and Han with Chewie were the ones who were already awake.

"Did you sleep well?" Amidala asked her daughter.

"Like a log. I woke up starving to be honest. If this time I don't get any nauseous, I will be a happy woman!" she said grabbing a piece of bread and put some shuura jam on it.

"I have a feeling you will have to wake up in the middle of the night a lot during this pregnancy, my friend!" Luke glare at his brother in law, who took a sip of his caf.

"Me too!"

Chewie growled making Leia smile at him.

"Thanks Chewie. Someone who at least wants to make me feel happy!" she said looking at Han.

"I didn't say I wouldn't do it. Besides I don't want to die soon!" he winked at her, making her chuckle.

At that moment Dan and Gracy appeared. Dan was still yawning.

"Good morning!" he said sitting down and pouring some caf, on his cup, making his sister frown.

"No sugar? That's new!"

"I want something strong so I can wake up for once!" he said taking a sip and making this face. "Maybe just one spoon!"

"My dear brother, you know what that means. You are getting old. I mean soon you will be 40, and be those annoying old men, sleeping late and drooling!"

"Excuse me? I will only make 37 in 4 months, so shut up. You are not getting younger too!"

"I'm still younger than you!" she replying, making Dan look at their father.

"You know I wanted for a pet, a but instead you gave gave me a baby sister! Nice job father!" he said making Ken glare at his son.

"Now is my fault!"

"Yeah, we were happy just being me and Edmar, without a girl tormenting us right after she was born!" he said looking at Ines, who slap her brother arm.

"Ouch!" he said rubbing his left arm. "Did you see that?" he asked Luke.

"Well, you at least had some time alone without a sister. Mine had to come with me!" Luke replied gaining a punch on his left arm from Leia.

"Excuse me!" Leia said.

"But you know what, you are worst than me, cause not only you have to deal with your sister, you also have to deal with mine 24/7. So good luck!" Dan said.

"Yay!" Ines said and punch her brother again in the arm.

"Will you stop!" Dan said to her rubbing his arm again.

On the other side of the table, Ken couldn't help but laugh at the scene, really happy, which made Dan, Ines and even Gracy stare at him. It has being a long time since they heard him laughing like that and to be honest, they missed his laugh.

"That's a laugh I missed!" Gracy said at him.

"What is so funny!" Dan and Ines asked at the same time.

"Well, I just remembered when you were little, alongside with Edmar and this was exactly what they would do and behave." Ken explain to the others. "I forgot how much it made me laugh and to be honest I missed this."

"Oh yeah, I remember," Leia said smiling too.

"Of course you do, you always join them!" Ken said to Leia who blush but couldn't help but smile.

"What can I say, if you can't beat them, just join them, right!" she replied.

"Right on!" Ines answered and the two friend high fight each other.

"See!" Dan told Luke which made him chuckle at his brother in law.

"Mo!" they heard and they looked at Lukey who was between his parents asking from more food.

Ines smiled and gave more little pieces of tuna bread, which made the almost 20 months year old toddler, smiled and grabbing one by one he started to eat.

"Yum!" he said looking at his mother.

"I'm surprise you are not sleeping like your older siblings and cousins," Han said at Lukey, laughing when the little boy laughed back at his uncle.

"Well to be fair, he slept almost every time, so of course he is not tired, and yes, it was 7 am, he was already between us, making sure we were awake for his bottle," Luke said winking at his son, laughing when he tried to do the same towards him.

"I have to say, this boy, with those eyes, will break a lot of hearts!" Gracy spoke.

"He already does that every time he looks at us!" Amidala said with a big smile on his face.

Then they heard two familiar voices behind them.

"Hello? Did you hear us?"

Turning around they saw the girls, in their pajamas, with their hands on her hips.

"Hey look who is finally awake!" Ken said looking at his granddaughters.

"Yes we are and we are were waiting!" Alli frown.

"We are hungry!" Padmé said right behind her twin.

Luke and Ines stood up.

"Maybe it is time to get you ready!" Ines replied picking up Padmé, while Luke picked up Alli.

"We are sorry sweeties, but we thought you want to be in bed for a little longer." Luke told his daughter.

"But we are already awake and my tummy needs food," the 5 years old said making her father laugh.

"We better go get these two ready!" he said to his wife who nod.

"Don't hurry, I will look after Luke," Amidala said picking up her grandson. "Right sweetie?" she smiled kissing his cheeks.

"I think we need to wake up the boys too!" Leia said looking at Han, and they also went upstairs to check on Ani and Bail.

As the morning went by, the day continue to be cloudy. They were all in the living room, after having a nice lunch, when Reed and Luma entered the room.

"Hey look who is here. I thought you were still in your bedroom," Han replied.

"Why?" Ani asked his father, making Leia glare at her husband.

"Why what?"

"Why they would be still sleeping? It is afternoon already!"

"Because they were tired from yesterday."

Leia rolled her eyes, and shook her head at him.

"Sorry but sometimes by husband's brain stop function!" she looked at Han who made a "What did I do?" look.

"It is okay!" Reed smiled, he already knew Han to not take to seriously. In fact he liked Han and Chewie and their amazing stories during the time of the Rebellion.

"But, my brother in law is right. What are you doing here and not be alone?" Luke asked them.

"Well are wanted to say goodbye. We are leaving to Theed in a few minutes and go to out honeymoon in Scarif!" Luma answered.

"Oh, already?" Gracy said.

"Yes!"

"How long you will be there?" Ines asked her friend.

"Mon Mothma was kind enough to give us a whole month away, so we only see each other next month back in Coruscant." Luma answered.

"And we will be closer to you since we are moving to your building." Reed informed.

"Really? That's great!" Ines smiled at that.

"But if you will be gone for a month, who will represent Naboo?" Dan asked.

Luma smiled at that.

"Well don't worry, Naboo will be in very good hands," she replied and look at Amidala who smiled.

"Grandma?" Ben asked her who nod.

"Mother? Why didn't you tell us before?" Leia asked her.

"Surprise!" she replied.

"Well I have to say, Naboo is indeed in very good hands," Ken spoke. "I remember how great she was when she was Naboo Senator. Actually your mother were one the most respectful Senator in the Senate."

"Well I'm happy and can't wait to see you work," Leia smiled resting her head on her mothers shoulder.

"Well we need to go, babe!" Reed looked at his wife who nod.

"Uncle Reed, Aunt Luma!" Padmé and Alli told them.

"Yes sweeties?"

"Can you bring us presents?"

"Girls!" Luke and Ines said at the same time, making Reed and Luma laugh. "I'm so sorry!" they said.

"Don't worry," Reed said and crouching he looked at them, "Maybe!" he said winking making the girls giggled.

"We will walk you to the boat!" Ines said and she and Luke walked with Reed and Luma to the edge of the water, where a boat was waiting for them.

While the men were a little ahead, Ines and Luma were a little behind.

"So, I see your mood is way happier!" Ines giggled making Luma giggle too and nod.

"Oh yeah!"

"I take that as a sign that everything went well last night!"

Looking at her husband, Luma smiled.

"You were right, it was amazing and I only need to trust him and not being afraid to talk to him cause he would understand. And like you said he was amazing and gentle and well after the first minutes, it was amazing."

"Well be ready cause for the next months that's all you two will do," Ines said and both friends laugh. "Have fun!" she said and hugged Luma and then hugged Reed.

"See you in a month friends!" Luke said hugging them too.

"See you guys too!" they said and while they were leave, Luke and Ines stand there until they were gone.

"Well once thing is for sure, for the next week I doubt those two would only see their bedroom!" Luke said.

"Well if they will be like us, they will do it all the time, even after almost 8 years of marriage!" Ines replied making Luke laughed and wrapped his left arm around her shoulders.

"I don't see you complain!"

"Cause I don't!" she winked with a smile, especially when Luke took her lips into a kiss, and they walked inside the house smiling, enjoying the last days in Naboo before going back home.

So Amidala will replace Luma for the next month. What you guys think of that?
