Chapter 8: Planet Gorlock's in Trouble
"I thought you'd never see me again," said the figure as she approached Team Neutron.
"Wait a minute," Sheen said as he dropped Carl onto the floor. "What's going on here? And who's that?"
"Ow! My scapula!" Carl cried.
"April the Gorlock?" Jimmy wondered.
"Yes, it's me. I come in peace, Earth Boy," April replied. "I'm happy to see you all again, especially Jimmy Neutron."
"April, will you find my dog named Goddard?" Jimmy asked.
"Of course, Earthy boy," April smiled.
"April, are you having a girlfriend with Jimmy?" Sheen asked a dumb question. "You kissed him last time."
"That's not nice to ask a stupid question, Ultra-dork!" Cindy declared after she slapped her backhand on Sheen's mouth.
"Ouch!" Sheen painfully cried.
"April, don't worry about Sheen," Libby assured. "So, how'd you find us?"
"Yeah, you helped us to save Earth and shut down Meldar's show forever," Carl remarked.
"We were, but sadly, recent events impacted our lives," April said as she bashed open the prison door. "I'll explain everything soon, but now we're leaving."
"You heard the green alien girl," Cindy said. "Let's get out of here!"
Team Neutron and April the Gorlock were searching for Goddard.
"April, how will we find Goddard at this rate?" Libby asked.
"I don't know," April hesitated. "However, we're going to need to find a way."
At the same time, Meldar had strapped Goddard down to some gimmick in his space junk deck.
"When the jellybag and his stupid friends are getting away, the villains will play, eh pooch?" Meldar smirked at Goddard.
At the same time, Team Neutron was hiding behind something while Goddard whispered.
"Jimmy, look, it's Goddard!" Britney pointed right to Goddard. "And it resembles he's been strapped to a block and put on a conveyor belt."
"Holy shoot!" Jimmy shockingly said. "An incinerator! He's going to be scrap metal."
"What are we gonna do?" Carl asked.
"Here's the plan," Jimmy told his friends. "Nick and Gina, capture Meldar! Cindy and April, take out Vandana! Libby and Britney, rescue Goddard! Carl, Sheen, and I will be looking for the spaceship."
"You got it, dude!" Nick gave a thumbs up. "I'm gonna kick some alien's buttock, and I can do it! Nobody incinerates my friends!"
"Yes, sir!" Sheen said in unison.
"Ready?" Jimmy requested. "Break!"
Everybody split up to do their jobs. Jimmy, Carl, and Sheen went to look for the spaceship. Nick and Gina found something in the space junk: a metal staff and a black aluminum tennis racket with white grip tape.
"Okay, Gina, you'll whack that floaty dude with a ball, then I'll beat him myself," Nick explained as he gave Gina a rustic wood ball. "I bet you can do it! However, you don't need to beat him."
"All right," Gina nodded. "Look, Nick, I'm a tennis player."
"Yeah, you are," Nick winked.
Cindy and April searched for Vandana until she came up from right behind them.
"Going somewhere?" Vandana picked them up.
"Yeah, missy," Cindy said. "We're getting out of here!"
"This is going to be fun," April said. "Aye! Aye! Aye!"
April took out her hammer while she and Cindy began fighting against Vandana, using their fantastic combat skills. At the same time, Nick and Gina snuck up behind Meldar.
Gina threw a ball up, then she swung to whack the ball like a baseball with her new tennis racket to hit Meldar's head, and fell onto the floor. "Bull-eye! You floaty jerk!"
"My head!" Meldar gasped as his head fell onto the floor.
"Excellent job, Gina!" Nick exclaimed as he gave his thumb up, and then he used his new staff to whack Meldar's torso right off to land on the floor and bounce right into a crate of space junk.
Just as Goddard was about to be incinerated, Libby and Britney grabbed him right off the conveyor belt.
"Goddard! Thank goodness!" Britney happily exclaimed. "You're safe!"
"Bark, bark!" Goddard happily barked.
"Hey, look!" Libby said as she pointed to Nick. "Your boyfriend's taken out Meldar."
"Wow," Britney surprisingly said. "Resembles he's still a fighter despite his knee injury."
Nick and Gina walked over to Goddard and these girls, carrying their new things.
"That was awesome, Nick," Britney surprisingly said. "Where did you get that stick thing?"
"I found it some sort of crate," Nick replied. "I think I'm gonna keep it."
"Ohh, that's amazing," Britney batted her eyelashes.
Nick and Britney started hugging and kissing together.
The five then rounded up Cindy and April (both of whom had deactivated Vandana) and finally met up with Jimmy and Carl, who found the Astro-car spaceship.
"Goddard!" Jimmy exclaimed as he ran up to his pet robotic dog and hugged him. "I'm glad you're okay!"
"Bark, bark!" Goddard happily barked, and then he licked Jimmy's cheek.
"Sheen?" Jimmy gasped as he looked around. "Where did he go?"
"Hey, guys, I got new Japanese katana swords from the crate! Can I keep it?" Sheen said as he ran up to his friends. "I can fight against these fricking villains!"
"Okay, then..." Jimmy rolled his eyes. "Everyone, let's go into the spaceship."
Team Neutron and April the Gorlock got into the Astro-car and drove back into the space.
"April, thanks for saving us," Jimmy told the Gorlockian girl.
"It's my pleasure, Jimmy Neutron," April smiled. "Who are three new humans from the planet Earth? I've never met them before."
"Nick, Gina, and Britney are my friends and our classmates," Jimmy replied.
"Ohh, I see," April clearly said. "Nice to meet you three, so now I need your help."
"Our help, what?" Jimmy asked.
"Yes, allow me to explain...," April replied.
"Jimmy and April, let's get ready to kiss together!" Sheen rudely interrupted.
"SHEEN!" Everybody glared at Sheen, to which he sheepishly grinned.
Jimmy turned on the autopilot and sat down to hear what April said about something.
"April, what's wrong?" Jimmy asked.
April took a deep breath and started talking. "My father was busy taking one of his morning strolls when all of a sudden, he came across this strange purple stone. It was not similar to anything he ever saw, so he took it back home and showed it to me and my mother. When we were about to take a closer look, he was attacked by another tribe of Gorlocks. We tried battling them, but they were too strong for us, so we were evenly matched. When the situation looked bleakest, the stone started to glow radiantly, sending the other warriors into a panic and scaring them away. Our lives were saved."
"Leaping Leptons!" Jimmy remarked. "That's a miracle."
"And what's happening next?" Britney asked.
"We took it back to our village and showed it to the rest of the townsfolk." April continually explained. "We told them the whole story and concluded that the Great Gorlocks sent it down from the Heavens as a symbol of prosperity and good luck."
"Great Gorlocks? Who are they?" Jimmy asked.
"They're the late heroes of our planet," April explained. "They protected our planet from potential threats years ago before I and my folks were around."
"I see," Jimmy nodded. "Continue."
"Anyways, a few days later, three strange Gorlocks from the outside world appeared and requested to see the stone I found," April continued with her story. "Consequently, I took them to where it was on a statue in the center of the village. Unfortunately, they weren't Gorlocks at all; they wore disguises and attacked the planet with a massive warship."
"Oh, shoot!" Cindy shook her head. "That's messed up."
"Indubitably," April nodded. "It turned out the stone was a beacon for their leader, who wanted to take over our planet. Their leader's soldiers invaded our planet, and they kidnapped most of my people who were enslaved. The Gorlocks didn't get away as soon enslaved by these outsiders, and now, we are being forced into backbreaking hard labor, and our people are suffering, and a few are dying because of that."
"That sounds painful," Gina said.
"Yes, I know," April nodded, then turned to the boy genius. "Please, Jimmy Neutron, we need your help."
Jimmy thought for a moment before telling his friends. "April rescued us, and we saved her planet. That's the way it is."
"Thanks, Earthy boy, I knew I could trust you," April said before kissing Jimmy's lips.
"Stupid Gorlockian seal of trust!" Cindy muttered as she got extremely jealous.
April stopped kissing, and then Jimmy walked over to the ship's control pad and entered the coordinates to the Planet Gorlock. "Attention, everyone! You'd better buckle up! We're descending into the Gorlockian planet so that it will be a rough landing."
Team Neutron landed right on safe ground and left the ship. Jimmy turned on the ship's cloaking device so nobody would find it.
"Okay, guys," Jimmy said. "Time to find the other Gorlockians. April, lead the way!"
"Correct, follow me," April agreeably nodded as she led Team Neutron to her village, where other Gorlockians dug into the dirt with pickaxes and chained to some heavy balls. They resembled those Gorlockians who were starving, dehydrated, and overworked.
"Leaping Leptons!" Jimmy remarked. "I think April is right, so it's not joking. They're really suffering."
"My poor people have been reduced to mere slaves by these vile people," April explained. "We have tried numerous times to free them, but our enemies possess far more advanced technology and battle skills than we do; that's why we need your help."
"Shouldn't we be anxious, Jimmy?" Carl asked. "I mean, what about the invaders?"
"Don't worry, I don't see any non-Gorlockians besides us," Jimmy replied. "I'm 50-50 on it."
"I can deal with that," Nick shrugged his shoulders. "Besides, I didn't steal this darn staff from Meldar's ship for nothing."
"Wow, Nick," Britney batted her eyelashes. "You seem so risk-taking and daring."
"When it's an adventure for a good cause, I'm on it," Nick boastfully said. "Plus, I did say I would kick some alien butt on this adventure, and that's what I'm gonna do something."
"Then, let's get to it," Jimmy said. "Team Neutron, away!"
"Yes, sir!" Sheen said in unison.
Team Neutron went to unchain the enslaved, suffering Gorlockians. Goddard zapped some chains with his laser eyes, Jimmy zapped some with his watch, Carl ground-pounded the chains (due to being obesity), April used her spiky-bat thing while Nick and Sheen used their new staffs to break the chains, and Cindy utilized her martial arts skills to smash the chains (with Libby, Gina, and Britney's help) until these Gorlockians finally all free.
"Hey, Jimmy, are you sure we've freed up all the Gorlockians?" Carl asked.
Jimmy looked at Goddard's screen. "Well, according to the map on Goddard's screen, no more Gorlockians need freeing."
"Thanks, Jimmy," April smiled. "I knew you could do it."
"He wasn't the only one," Cindy remarked.
Recently, April's parents came running over to their daughter. "April!"
"Mother! Father!" April exclaimed as she ran up to her parents and hugged them.
"Thank you, kids, for freeing us," Papa Gorlock said.
"Yeah," Mama Gorlock added. "I could've gotten a blister."
"I'm glad we could be service, you two," Jimmy said. "Now, we must get back to our space journey."
"Wait!" April exclaimed. "You can't go anywhere yet, Jimmy Neutron. We have another problem."
"What are we doing?" Jimmy asked.
"Indeed," Papa Gorlock nodded. "The rest of our planet's still in trouble, and our people are still in the invaders' ship. Even with the enslaved people freed, we are still in trouble."
"Whadda you mean, sir?" Libby asked.
Papa Gorlock took a deep breath and started talking. "The other Gorlockians are being enslaved on the warship, and we've tried everything to break them free, but as my daughter has probably told you, we're no match for their technology and army. They're being forced to build their arsenals and weapons, and our waters have been gunked up. Now, we are struggling to survive and rescue our people."
"That's horrible, dude!" Nick shook his head.
"Oh, shoot!" Sheen retorted.
"He's right," Mama Gorlock said. "Now, we need your help to stop their leader and free the others."
Jimmy looked at April, who had an utmost faithful look in her eyes. Basically, April was his friend, and she did trust him.
"We will do it," Jimmy replied.
"So, who's their leader, anyways?" Carl wondered.
"Gortox the Irritable," Papa Gorlock replied.
"Gortox the Irritable...," Jimmy pondered. "Recently, why does the name sound familiar? Think, think, think... Brain Blast! Goddard, show me your screen."
"Bark, bark!" Goddard agreeably barked as he put up the tape on his screen.
Team Neutron looked at the footage on Goddard's screen. It was footage of his, Jimmy, Carl, and Sheen's adventure on the Junkman's ship. They were with Brobot, eavesdropping on the Junkman and Gortox's plan to turn Mombot and Popbot into gravadiscs.
"Oh, I see...," Jimmy said. "That's Gortox. Totally forgot about him."
April cleared her throat. "Anyways, after the plan to sell gravadisc's failed, Gortox wanted to dominate planets and become the most powerful in the galaxy, so he and Meldar joined forces to make it happen. They recruited an army and arsenal from Gortox's planet and placed the beacon stone right in the middle of the planet, and of course, you know what happened after that."
"But, how could Meldar have gotten new cufflinks?" Jimmy asked.
"I was getting that," April replied. "After they attacked our planet, raided our home, and stole back the generators from me, they're now more powerful than ever."
"Oh, my goodness!" Britney exclaimed.
"We've got to break into Gortox's ship and finish Gortox," Jimmy told his friends. "April, lead the way."
"Got it, Earthy boy," April said as she led her parents and Team Neutron to Gortox's ship.
To be continued...,
