Ashes and Blue Roses

Disclaimers: I do not own Lord of the Rings or Phantom of the Opera. All material from Lord of the Rings belongs to J.R.R. Tolkien. Summary: Ever wonder how fanfics are brainstormed? How ideas come about? This fanfic poem collection focuses on story ideas for what my fanfic, The Blue Rose, would eventually become. A crossover between The Lord of the Rings and The Phantom of the Opera. Written in 2011. Revised and reposted in 2024.
Welcome to the first poem collection for my fanfic series, The Blue Rose. :)
I knew, going back to this series, that I would revise these first three poem collections when I reposted them. :) They honestly need editing and revision, given there were reviews when this series was first posted on wanting to revise these three poem collections. :)
I've taken liberty to actually revise and edit these poems, making them where they should be. :)
As for this fanfic poem collection, it will focus on Frodo Baggins arriving in Paris, France and meeting the Seductress, an OFC who reminds me of the Phantom/Erik. :) Well, she's inspired by Erik. :) And Frodo also has a kind love interest, too, another OFC who will be introduced shortly. :) Frodo's kind love interest is in her tweens, meaning her twenties. Thought I'd clear that up.
So yes, these three poem collections dive into the brainstorming process, and yet they are stories of their own. At least, this first poem collection is. We'll see about the other parts in this series, after this first poem collection is done. :)
That said, enjoy! :)
Part 1
Frodo Baggins, age 12
Never expected his parents drowned
In a boating accident, not far away
From Brandy Hall, where he would stay
Later that night, when all was quiet
Frodo remained inside his room, in grief and in shock
Yet he found Brandy Hall too silent
Until she came with a promise so mocked
The young woman left Brandy Hall
Frodo didn't see her again nor hear her call
Nine years passed, so Bilbo invited Frodo to live
At Bag End, in Hobbiton, where he would spend
The next three years, mentored under Bilbo's guard
About Elves and Dwarves, who suffered battle scars
During those years, Frodo met a hobbit tween
Around his age, she immediately came clean
Telling him who she was, her parents, where she lived
Everything about her seemed so stemmed
Frodo saw her as kind and gentle
Someone he never thought could be this mellow
The same evening, Frodo parted ways with her
He was met by the woman, the seductress, who first stirred
Terrible thoughts about his parents and him
He knew he could not forgive her for what she did
However, this woman was intelligent and stern
Before Frodo ever said a word
The woman dragged the hobbit out of the Shire
He missed his homeland, which he admired
xxx
Weeks passed, the hobbit tween couldn't find Frodo
Something was wrong, she learned he never dawdled
Upon meeting hobbits and important matters
She fled towards Bag End, as songbirds scattered
Thanks for reading. More to come! :)
