Steve's POV

"So that's Onigashima." I looked at the massive skull fortress before us "It's even bigger up close."

"It's empty though." Robin noted.

"They probably figured there's no way anyone could attack a place like this so they're not even bothering to station guards passed the gate." I said "and since we took care of those guys before they could raise the alarm, so we have an opening."

"That's the plan, do you understand?" Monet asked Jinbei.

"It seems understandable." He nodded "But risky."

"We're against an Emperor, it was always going to be risky." I explained "We're only getting out of here two ways, as the victors, or as corpses."

"You don't have to say that!" Usopp yelled.

"You knew that was the case before we even got here." I said "So no point in being afraid."

As we disembarked Kin'emon set up a gate that once you passed through disguised you as a Beast Pirate, fighting was inevitable but if we could buy a little time that could be useful.

"I…hate this outfit." Monet said keeping a coat on over hers.

"Why are the girls' outfits always so skimpy?" Rose gestured to the bodysuit it put her in.

"That's no different from what you normally wear!" Nami snapped "Though it's not ugly by any means."

"These disguises have a drawback." Robin noted "We could confuse each other for foes too."

"Just need to be extra careful." Lil said summoning her horse "Centaur lets ride."

Wyper and Franky also took out the tank and bike from inside the Sunny so they could proceed quickly.

"Luffy's already gone." I looked around.

"He saw Kidd and his crew charge in and ran off with them." Jinbei explained "He said they didn't know the plan so he needed to stop them…Zoro actually said the same thing."

"Of course." I summoned my wings "I'll go after them before they cause too much trouble. Good luck everyone, stay safe."

"Same to you." My sister smiled.

As I flew overhead I could see the Beast Pirates were having some kind of celebration for the festival, the timing was perfect given half of them would be drunk or incapacitated as a result.

"Luffy!" I flew down "What are you doing running off alone like that?!"

"I'm looking for that jagged guy." He said.

"Don't act like your not causing issues running off." I scolded while looking around "This place is certainly having a big party."

"Look at all this food." Luffy hummed "They've got all this, and those people down there don't get anything."

"They can have what's left maybe, or the crappy stuff." One of the pirates said "Those idiots down in the towns will eat dirt if you offer it to them."

"GRRR!" Luffy glared.

"Alright." I sighed running a hand through my hair "There's no point in bothering with you especially not against assholes like this. Take'em out."

"Elephant Gun!" Luffy didn't need my permission to strike back and based on how quickly he reacted to throw that massive punch he hadn't been waiting for it.

His giant fist slammed into the ground knocking the pirates around.

"Where are you running to." I stood before some of them and focused my power to harness the energy inside me "I didn't say you could leave, Soul Rip!"

I clenched my fist and green soul energy was yanked out of them causing them to fall over.

"Luffy!" I shouted holding my arm out "Grab on!"

He stretched out and tightly held my arm as I spun, using him like a whip to knock through hordes of our foes.

"Gum-Gum Hurricane Flail!"

As I slowed down and Luffy landed next to me, shaking his head to knock the dizziness from his head the nearby wall split open with a slash.

"You two started already, running everything like always." Zoro yelled.

"You're just mad we started without you." I smirked.

"They started it anyway by wasting all this food and insulting Tama and her friends." Luffy glared.

"Oh, you should have just said so." Zoro nodded.

"Get them!" more pirates surrounded us.

"They just keep coming, our goal needs to be Kaido not these nobodies." I transformed and grabbed the two "up we go!"

I started flying them over the main force before seeing just how large the force we were up against was.

"This is gonna be a pain." Luffy said.

"Hmm? You hear something?" Zoro asked.

"SCRATCH!"

Before I could react a terrible ear splitting sound racked my body to the core and like a blast of air knocked me from the sky.

"What was that?" Luffy hissed.

"BOOM!"

The air around me suddenly exploded like it was a bomb I managed to look up and saw Scratchmen Apoo was there.

"It must be him." I pointed.

"KISHA!"

Zoro was instantly sliced across the chest.

"There was no blade though." I squinted "It must be his powers."

"BABOOM!"

Again the air exploded and I used my wings as a shield and the cover of the smoke to fly back with Zoro.

This many soldiers and a supernova is just the start the fight is only going to get tougher from here we can't waste time on this.

"APOO!" Kidd suddenly flew from the smoke, his arm covered in scrap metal to form a giant hand "Punk Gibson!"

He slammed it down into the man flattening him in an instant. It was a fortunate development that allowed the three of us to pull back a bit.

"We gotta get to the keep these guys don't matter." Luffy grabbed Kidd.

"Get your hands off me Strawhat!"

"You're all lined up." Apoo drew closer and clapped his hands "Boom!"

"Cover your ears!" Killer warned.

When I did that this time there was no attack.

"His attacks only work if you can hear them." Killer explained.

"So needlessly complicated." I grumbled.

"KABOOM!"

Apoo struck again, causing a blast that scattered us around.

"Luffy get up." I grabbed him.

"HMPH!" he suddenly threw a punch and knocked someone over.

"Miss Ulti!" someone yelled "Page-One!"

A woman who had been riding on the back of another man stood up, he was tall with blue and pink hair though her face was covered with a mask she also had strange horns, the man running with her was also wearing a mask over the bottom half of his face too.

"How dare you hurt Pay-Pay." Ulti snapped "What do you want?!"

"I've got some questions." Luffy said.

"Who do you work for?" she asked.

"Miss Ulti they're the intruders."

"I'm Luffy and I'm gonna be King of the Pirates." He said.

"I'm Steve, the same." I nodded.

"Pardon?" she suddenly jumped up "The only one who will be King of the pirates is Lord Kaido."

"Watch out." I pushed Luffy behind me "Horns!"

"ULTI SKULL CANNON!"

I focused my Haki to harden my head and collided with Ulti in a powerful headbutt clash.

"HMPH!" I got pushed back a bit by the force "Talk about hard headed."

"GRR!" she pushed her way out of the debris she landed in to stand even taller, legs covered in scaled and her hands now sharp claws while the man with her transformed into an equally large reptilian beast.

"Ancient Zoan Devil Fruits?" I hummed.

"Next time I'll split your head like a melon!" Ulti snapped.

"HMPH!" Luffy slung passed me and grabbed Ulti by the horns pulling her over his shoulders for a slam.

I quickly transformed and flew right behind him to grab Page-One's jaws as he attempted to take a bite out of Luffy.

"Come on now." I held his mouth open "Arlong had sharper teeth than this-HRA!"

I lifted him up by the mouth and slammed him down on quickly.

"How dare you!" Ulti grabbed my wings and pulled her head back

If she hits the back of my neck I'm dead for sure.

"Ulti-Meteor!"

Suddenly a mask figure with a massive iron club dashed by me and clobbered Ulti.

"Thunder Bagua!

"It's Yamato!"

"What are they doing here?"

"You two, come with me." The masked figure grabbed Luffy and I by the arms.

"Wait let me go!" Luffy yelled.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Yamato." The figure said "I am the son of Kaido."

"Brimstone!"

I blasted them allowing Luffy and I to break free.

"I wouldn't follow anyone around here, especially not Kaido's kid." Luffy said.

"I didn't know Kaido even had a son though I guess I'm not surprised." I nodded.

"Wait just listen please." They said blocking.

"You fight a lot like him." Yamato noted as Luffy pulled back "Ace."

That stopped Luffy.

"Take us up." He said.

I nodded and grabbed the two flying to the rafters above.

"You have five minutes." Luffy said surprisingly sternly.

Yamato explained they had seen Oden's execution and were inspired by him, having used him as their role model and guide for life, even finding his logbook and studying it as a personal bible.

"I intend to follow in Oden's footsteps and reopen this county." Yamato took of their mask to reveal a face of a young woman with long white and blue hair.

"I thought you said you were Kaido's son?"

"Oden was a man so I became one too." They explained "Son, Daughter, I don't think it really matters."

"Fair enough." I shrugged.

"You mentioned Ace." Luffy added.

"You're Ace's brother, so I thought it only natural I board your ship." Yamato explained "he came here many years ago and we became friendly. Joining his ship is obviously not possible so why not his brother's."

"You're asking to join us?" I was confused "This is too much we're too busy now."

"As I am now I'm not much help." Yamato held up their hands "These are the prisoner cuffs; they'll explode if I try and take them off and while I'd still be able to fight I wouldn't be much use in that state now would I? I've had these on for years now."

"With or without you we're going to beat Kaido." Luffy told them "But I can take those off."

There was some commotion coming from the floor under the attic we were in and I started peering down.

"What the hell is that Hag doing here?" I hissed looking down and seeing Big Mom "Wait."

Passed here were Nami, Monet and Carrot.

"We're going after the One Piece!" Kaido declared "In our alliance with the Big Mom Pirates."

"This is a problem." I growled.

"Yeah the One Piece is ours!" Luffy huffed.

"Not that you idiot we can't fight the two of them at once we'll be killed for sure!" I hissed.

"Wano, will be the paradise of pirates!" Kaido said as he suddenly executed Orochi.

"This situation is getting totally out of control." I looked around and saw Robin and Jinbei amongst the crowd too as well as Momo tied up on the stage

"Enough standing around." I punched the ceiling to cave it in "If you tow are coming let's go! The kid needs our help!"

"Wait!" Yamato yelped as I blasted through the ceiling and sent us plummeting down as Kin'emon's squad attacked Kaido from behind.

"No more hiding!" I transformed

"This is the real battle now!" Luffy added.

Additional note, due to the conflicting sources and opinions on Yamato's gender whether the "I'm Oden so I'm a man" is serious gender identity affirmations or just a hardcore LARP thing and with the vague translations and confusion I'm going to just meet in the middle and use They for Yamato as it's what I feel is the most appropriate term for the way the story tends to portray the character in such a conflicting manner, heck even the wiki says "official sources are openly conflicting on the nature of Yamato's gender."

Will do my best, obviously might slip up here and there with some she's just cause that's what I'm used to most people calling Yamato but will do my best to be consistent.
