A.N: Hi guys, for those of you who haven't read my last post, please read the message below, I'll be putting on all test chapters.

What you see under this message is basically a first draft (as in not what I would post without checking it through and improving it) section of the gwl story. I haven't even looked through this to check for mistakes.

It's not really meant to be a quality chapter, like the title says, this is just a test chapter (not a final product). My plan is to release a test chapter for each option in my poll before it ends. Feel free to read through them and criticse them, give me feedback and tell me what you think.

But to sum up:

* Don't take this chapter seriously, this is like a rough draft. Look at it and feel free to tell me what was good and what went wrong.

* I'll put up test chapters for the other story options soon/whenever I can.

GWL test chapter:

Scarlett Winter, third year Gryffindor, was sat at the sorting ceremony in-between her best male friend, Ron Weasley, and his sister Ginny who Scarlet had become good friends with after she ended up saving her from a basilisk last year, you know...as normal girls do. Opposite Ron was Scarlet's only other female friend, Hermione Granger. Ron and Hermione had been her friends since her first year at Hogwarts, while Ginny (who was a year younger than them) had only become a friend last year after she was able to get over the fact that Scarlett was a celebrity.

Ron was a lanky boy with freckles and red hair, not someone who would stand out in a crowd. Hermione was usually found with her nose shoved into a book and had 'buck teeth' along with very bushy brown hair, which might earn her a few looks but nothing she couldn't ignore. Ginny, while still young, was growing to be a very pretty girl and would very likely have plenty of males interested in her at some point, but she did still look normal.

Scarlett, on the other hand, might appear normal at first glance but not when one looked closer. Though her school uniform hid it well, she was a very skinny girl who could probably benefit from gaining some weight. She had a skinny face, a pair of bright blue eyes that were beautifully brought out by her red hair that she preferred to simply stick into a ponytail, she would put in the minimum amount of effort needed to care for it but she didn't do much beyond that, unlike Lavender and Parvarti, her two other roommates besides Hermione. Those girls could likely give a two hour lecture on hair care off the top of their heads.

Though one other noticeable thing about Scarlett was the lightning bolt scar on her forehead, a scar she got when the famous dark lord Voldemort - a guy who was apparently so scary that people refused to even say his name - tried to kill her with an unblockable and undefeatable spell that was named the killing curse, a spell that did exactly what it said on the tin. Scarlett not only defeated the dark lord while she was a mere baby, but also did another impossible thing and had the curse bounce off her and kill him. Which was how she ended up being famous all throughout the wizarding world, it was why she was praised as the 'girl-who-lived'.

"Finally, the first years are done! We can finally start eating!" Ron grinned happily, the mere thought of food nearly always brought a smile to his face.

"Oh, honestly Ronald." Hermione rolled her eyes, the bushy haired bookwarm didn't really seem to grasp the concept that people were interested in things other than books like she was, which was why she often ended up looking down on Ron when he got passionate about qudditch, food and sleeping, the three main things that made up Ronald Weasley. Scareltt thought that that was a bit ironic since Hermione was supposed to be the 'kind and smart one'.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Professor Dumbledore said as he stood in front of the students. "before we start eating there is just one more person that needs to be sorted." He said, the students looked around with a frown, not seeing anymore first years. "We have a new transfer student joining us for a year at least, possibly more. I do hope you welcome him and treat him well, everyone please welcome Mr Harry James Potter." Dumbledore said just before the doors of the great hall opened and the new transfer student walked in.

All eyes in the hall turned to face him, he was wearing the standard black Hogwarts uniform though he didn't yet have a colour fitted on his robes since he hadn't been sorted. The girl's in the hall instantly paid more attention to the handsome new arrival, he had a thin but attractive face combined with some messy black hair that held a 'just been in the wind' look that made him more desirable. He had a small smile that practically stopped the hearts of many girls, though his best feature was arguably his brilliant pair of emerald green eyes.

"When has Hogwarts started doing transfer students?" Ginny whispered to Scarlett who shrugged, she knew even less about Hogwarts than Ginny did, Ginny was raised in the magical world while Scarlett was not.

"Where did he transfer from?" Hermione asked in a curious voice.

"Dumbledore didn't say." Scarlett frowned.

"Gryffindor!" A voice shoutd, the group turned to see the hat being lifted off Harry's head, apparently they had missed his sorting thanks to their talking.

"Thank you." Harry said in a polite voice to Professor McGonagall after she took away the hat. He walked away from the stool and towards the Gryffindor table, ignoring the whispers with suprising ease. He stopped near Scarlett and her friends. "Um...hi...I don't suppose it would be alright if I sit here?" He asked in a slightly nervous voice.

It's fine." Ginny said, Ron grunted his consent and the other two girls nodded.

"Thanks." Harry smiled as he sat down next to Hermione, opposite Scarlett.

"Now that we are all sorted, let the feast begin." Dumbledore said before food appeared on the tables. Everyone began digging into their food.

"My name is Harry Potter, in case you didn't hear." Harry said, starting up a conversation.

"I'm Ginny Weasley." Ginny said in response.

"I'm Hermione Granger." Hermione said in greeting.

"The mannerless baboon over here is my brother Ron." Ginny said as she gestured to Ron.

"Hey!" Ron protested, food dropping out of his mouth.

"Nice to meet you all," Harry nodded to them before he turned to Scarlett. "and may I know your name please?"

"Oh, are you muggleborn?" Scarlett asked, she didn't want to brag but at this point only the muggle raised that had recently been introduced to the magical world didn't know who she was, if you don't count that muggles as well. Or perhaps she simply wasn't as popular in whereever Harry came from, 'hmm, maybe I should go there' she thought.

"No, not really." Harry shook his head.

"Then how do you not know who she is?" Ron blinked.

"Well, I have an idea about who she is." Harry said as he gestured to her scar. "But you know what they say about assuming." He added with a small shrug.

"Well, thank you for not assuming." Scarlett said in an amused voice. "But my name is indeed Scarlett Winter."

"I'm sorry." Harry replied.

"What for?" Scarlett asked.

"I can't imagine it'd be very fun, being the girl-who-lived." Harry said in a sympathetic voice that causedd Scarlett to pause. She had never heard that before, she had heard praise for being the girl-who-lived, she had heard thanks, she had heard requests for autographs and jelousy and awe but never that. And...he wasn't wrong. "By the way," Harry quickly spoke. "is that greasy haired teacher that's dressed like a vampire glaring at me?" Harry whispered.

"Uh..." Scarlett looked in the direction of Snape and saw him glaring at Harry with more hate then she had ever seen on the man's face. "...yeah, yeah he is. He looks really mad at you, why is that?"

"Not sure," Harry fibbed. "I know he has a problem with my dad."

"What problem?"

"I don't know, Dad probably refused to take him to a ball or something." Harry shrugged.
