Chapter 2, Talking on the phone
Weboshii was lying in bed, playing on a game boy advance. She heard her phone ring and saw that Mio was calling. "Hi Mio-Chan, what's up?" She asked while still playing. "Hi Weboshii, sorry for calling so late, I just wanted to ask you something." "What is it?" "I just wanted to ask how you liked the club?" Mio asked. Weboshii paused her game and sat up, happy to talk about it."I had a really great time! Everyone was so unique. It felt like a sit-com!" she said with enthusiasm.
"I like how Nano cosplays as a robot with that gear sticking out of her." "... uh, yeah. she loves to cosplay." By this point Mio knew that Nano was a robot, but she didn't know if she was ok with people knowing "Yeah, I also like how Yuuko and Mai are so funny." Weboshii said. "Yeah their something alright" Mio said laughing to herself a bit. "If you have any recommendation for the club I would love to hear them!" Mio said. Weboshii thought for a moment "Hmm... It would be nice to have a sign with pride flags and their meanings." "That is a great recommendation! I'll be sure to add that!" Mio said "Yeah, and... I wanted to ask, maybe the club can teach about pride. I didn't really understand what Demi or intersexual meant." Weboshii asked Mio, wondering if intersexual meant being attracted to the internet. "Is that why she cosplays as a robot?" she wondered. "Oh right! We kinda forgot to tell you that hehe" Mio said embarrassed that she let the main point of the club slip her mind. "Well that's all I wanted to say, catch ya later!" Mio said as she hung up the phone.
After that Weboshii just at there. Her mind started to wander. She brushed her teeth, changed into her pajamas, and poured herself a glass of water. She got back to her room and looked out the window, admiring the stars, thinking. She had been losing a bit of sleep every day. Losing sleep over wondering what she was. She knew that she wasn't lesbian, she had way too many crushes on guys for that to be the answer. But she though of someone as more then a friend, even though she was a girl. And thought about how nice it would be to kiss them on the cheek, how nice it would be to play with their hair, how nice it would be to cuddle with them as they drifted to sleep.
"I'll know tomorrow" She thought to herself as she took a sip of water. She got to her bed and tucked herself in, hugging her pillow. She was a bit sad to feel this way. But that sadness turned into determination, knowing that she could ask tomorrow without worry. With determination in her heart, she drifted off to sleep.
The next day Weboshii went to have lunch with Fe-Chan and Misato. She waved at Fe-Chan as she walked into the classroom. "Hi Fe-Chan!" She said as she sat down next to her. "Hii Weboshii, How are you doing?" She asked while openinging her bento box. "I'm doing well, how about you?" "I'm going amazing! I made asparagus wrapped in bacon for lunch." She showed of her bento box to show off her food "Tada!" "Wow, that looks really good. Good job." Weboshii said while admiring her food. They started to eat their lunches.
"Where's Misato? Is she fighting with Koujirou again?" Weboshii asked while taking a bite out of her rice ball. "Yeah, hope she can finally tell him about her feelings for him one day, or Koujirou figure out she likes him." Fe-Chan noted. Weboshii laughed a bit "You think anything can get her to say it up front, or get anything though Koujirou thick skull." She laughed, covering her mouth to hold back from laughing more. "Well maybe, you never know." Fe-Chan said in a happy voice while looking out the window.
Weboshii looked at her for a moment, happy that they were friends. She loved how kind and optimistic she was, hoe she saw the good in everything and believed that thing would turn out good. "Shes so optimistic and kind" She thought to herself "Shes so care free and cute, and amazing, and so much more!" She couldn't stop admiring her. "Hm, is there something on my face" Fe-Chan asked when she saw her looking at her face. Weboshii snaped back to reality "Oh, uhh, No. I just zoned out for a sec there." She said while looking down at her food. "Oh my god what am I thinking? Why did I think that" She could feel herself blush a bit.
"I kinda wish Misato was here. I would have given her some of my food" She said while picking another one up with chopsticks. "Oh, do you want to try some? I know you don't like bacon but maybe you'll like them with asparagus!" She said with her usual cheery voice. Although not showing it, Weboshii got a bit flustered at the fact she was offering some. "Oh... yeah I would love some." Fe-Chan fully turn towards her and got a bit closer "say ah." she said while signaling Weboshii to open her mouth. Weboshii turned red instantly and leaning back a little. "A-aren't couples only supposed to do that?" She asked a bit more tense.
"I don't know, oh well. You still want to try, don't you?" She asked. "Y-yeah" Weboshii fully turned to face her. "Then say ah." She said as she brought the food closer. Weboshii opened her mouth and ate the asparagus. She felt such a romantic feeling, being fed by a person she admired so much. It felt like she was encompassed with peace and love. Even though she hated the taste of bacon she still gulped it down. "Was it good?" Fe-Chan asked. "yes" She said with a thumbs up. "Happy to hear that."
