Harry - GWL
Plot: Dumbledore was a tired man, after Sirius Black had escaped from Azkaban he had wanted to focus on protecting Sky Winter, the girl-who-lived, but now he had to also think about the new transfer to Hogwarts, a third-year boy he thought was dead, what was he to do with Harry Potter? A Harry in a different world story. Harry/OC
Scene 1:
Sky Winter, the girl who lived, had believed that by this point she had a firm grasp on reality when it came to Hogwarts, or at least knew enough that she felt like she had a rough idea about how her life was supposed to go. She'd show up at the start of the year, get used to classes, listen to Snape be an asshole while Malfoy continued to act like a dick, inevitable danger, and so on.
But this year felt different, not just because of the apparent escape of Sirius Black, the mass murderer who had apparently betrayed a family called the Potters and was known to be the second-hand man of Voldemort himself. He was apparently after her in an attempt to gain revenge on behalf of Voldemort, which was obviously going to be a great experience (notice the sarcasm). But that wasn't the only new thing this year, first of all, she believed that Dumbledore had gotten a new robe or something, for some reason he was looking slightly different this year, she wasn't sure why.
But now she was currently looking at the latest change this year, the new transfer student that had just arrived in the great hall after the first years were sorted.
"He's not that bad on the eyes, is he?" Ginny Weasley whispered along with a great many of the female population. Hermione hummed, but Sky couldn't tell if that was an agreement or something else. Ron on the other hand looked almost offended that Ginny had decided to take an interest in any male instead of doing what he hoped that she would do and remain uninterested in all-boys forever and stay twelve for the rest of her life.
Sky gave Ginny an amused snort but didn't respond as she turned her gaze back onto the new arrival, she definitely didn't disagree with Ginny's assessment of the new boy. He had raven-colored hair, his hair was messy in an 'I had just been in the wind' look, almost as if he had just gotten out of bed. He had a thin face, high cheekbones that gave off an aristocratic feeling. Though the biggest and most noticeable feature he possessed was his emerald green eyes, eyes that practically seemed to shine.
She watched as he looked around, seemingly trying to take a mental picture of every face in the hall. When his gaze reached the Gryffindor table she saw his eyes widen briefly upon seeing her, his gaze shifted from her face to her scar just like many before him. She was just about to roll her eyes at the thought of having another fanboy in the school when she saw the look he had given her before continuing his walk to the front of the hall.
'What was up with that look?' She wondered, unable to understand the way he looked at her, was that sadness? Pity?
She was so caught up in her thoughts that she nearly missed the sorting hat yelling out 'Gryffindor!'.
"Welcome to Gryffindor, Mr. Potter." She heard Professor McGonagall say to Harry, Sky's head snapped in his direction. 'Potter? As in the ones betrayed by Sirius Black?' She thought to herself,
Scene 2:
"So, Granger and Weasley didn't believe you then?" Harry asked as the two of them sat against a tree by the lake.
"No," Sky said in an angry voice as she glared out towards the lake. "I told them I didn't enter into the tournament like ten times but they still didn't believe me. Ginny and the twins do believe me, and I'm glad for it. But still, I'm pissed off that they don't believe me."
"I don't blame you," Harry replied. "I'd be pissed off too. After all, you've done a lot for them and the school, the least that they could do is trust you."
"Shouldn't you be trying to encourage me to stay friends with them or something?" Sky sniffed, rubbing her eyes with her hand.
"If you want to stay friends with them then that's up to you," Harry shrugged. "but the way I see it, you needed them and they didn't even try to hear you out. That's not the type of things I'd encourage, besides...it seems to me like you think more about keeping Hermione and Ron happy than they do about you."
"What...but...that's not true!" She protested.
"Isn't it?" Harry raised an eyebrow. "As soon as Granger barks you plop yourself down next to her and do your homework."
"But...you make it out like homework is a bad thing!"
"First of all, I am a teenage boy, homework is obviously a bad thing," Harry told her with a roll of his eyes. "but that's not what I meant. You should do your homework and you should have it completed before whatever deadline you've been set, yes, but you should also do it at your own pace when you're ready. She's not your mother or one of your teachers, she has no right to tell you what to do or how to do it. It's fine if she gives you her opinion but I've seen the way you two interact, she forces you to do what she wants and that's not right. If you don't do your homework then she should give her opinion and then leave the rest up to you, if you do your homework then great, if you don't then it's up to you to suffer the consequences. Plus we got Ron who is a massive dick."
"He's...well..." Sky was about to protest before taking a moment to think back on Harry's experiences with Ron, ever since Harry had become a part of the group, Ron had become a lot more argumentive and sometimes it seemed like he was just looking for an excuse to argue with Harry. "...yeah." She weakly finished.
"Eloquent as ever, my dear," Harry grinned at her, earning a punch in the arm from Sky.
"Laugh it up, Potter," She said with a roll of her eyes.
"I was doing that before you so rudely assaulted me," Harry smirked as he rubbed his arm, his smirk vanished a second later though as he asked her an important question. "what about Dumbledore?" He asked with a dark look on his face. "Hasn't he been able to get you out of the tournament?" He asked.
"No, not really." Sky shook her head, frowning.
"And I'm sure he tried his best to do so," Harry said in a sarcastic voice.
"What is that supposed to mean?" She asked, staring at him.
"Let's just say that everyone has problems and I find that Dumbledore has quite a few."
A.N: Hi guys, hope you liked the chapter.
Just want to remind you that the test chapter is not supposed to be a quality chapter, just basically a teaser.
This story will be focused a lot on how Harry develops a relationship with Sky and helps her out while also helping her grow as a person. There will be some bashing in here if that's not already obvious, Sky won't be a hundred percent exact female copy of canon Harry but she will be close enough. Funnily enough I had thought that I had already uploaded this before but apparently not, my bad.
Now, if people want to change their vote on the poll then feel free to do so, but I'll also be releasing more test chapters for the other options. My vote at the moment is on the Spiderman option if that means anything to anyone.
Thanks for reading, feel free to leave a review.
