Plot: Percy Jackson wakes up in another world, a world full of element benders. Soon he find himself working alongside an expert bounty-hunter named June. Percy Jackson/Atla crossover. (Percy/June)
Scene 1:
"Why do I put up with you?" June sighed deeply as she sat at her table opposite Percy who grinned at her before knocking back a drink. "You nearly cost me that job!"
"I'm the one who helped you get your last three jobs," Percy scoffed.
"I've got a reputation to think about," She grunted.
"And with me at your side, your reputation has only gotten better," Percy smirked.
"Smart-ass," June rolled her eyes, though she couldn't really deny it. By herself, she was a pretty badass bounty hunter, truth be told. But ever since Percy had joined her, she'd been pretty much unstoppable, having been offered jobs from pretty much every single nation, including the Fire Nation itself. She wasn't a bender, not even a little, but she could still tell that what Percy was capable of was far beyond your average waterbender. She had seen waterbenders in action, fought against them and along with them, they manipulated water, that was their thing.
Percy commanded water.
Sometimes, she noticed, without even a gesture, not even a twitch. It only took a simple thought for him to conjure a water whip, a water tower or any other of the hundreds of advanced waterbending techniques that she had seen during her travels. She had had her reservations about Percy at first, but the big idiot had ended up saving her skin the one time so she gave him a chance to help out, considering it her one good deed of the year, and boy did it pay off and it had been paying off repeatedly since. Almost made her consider doing two good deeds this year to see what happens.
June frowned as she noticed the bar suddenly go a lot silent, she looked up at Percy who was observing the entrance with his bright sea-green eyes.
"Angry jerk with a scar plus old fat guy at twelve o'clock," Percy whispered. "Though, given where you are currently sitting, they'll be at your six. And they are coming in our direction," He added before knocking back another drink. "Fire Nation clothes as well," He added, reaching over for her drink, only for her to slap his hand away.
"How are you not drunk?" She couldn't help but wonder before hearing a growl behind her, she looked back and saw the two people Percy mentioned staring down at her. The younger was glaring at her while the older man leered at her.
"Who says I'm not?" Percy asked.
"You damaged my ship!" Growled the angry boy with a bright red scar covering almost half of his face.
The boy who happened to be the banished Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation, stared at the two in front of them. One of them was the girl who had damaged his ship on her beast, exactly how he remembered. Dressed in black and red, with a tattoo on her arm, and long black hair that partially covered her face. He could admit to himself that she was a looker, though he wouldn't do that out loud. Sitting opposite her, relaxed without a care in the world and his feet on the table was a boy around the same age as the girl. He was dressed in dark brown shoes, black trousers, a dark blue shirt and a golden brown jacket made out of the fur of some animal.
"Beat it, peasant," Zuko ordered.
"You're lucky I'm drunk," Percy said simply, choosing not to elaborate when Zuko gave him a questioning look. He turned to June. "You busted up a Fire Nation ship?" He laughed.
"Not me," June said innocently. "It was Nyla."
"Oh, don't blame poor Nyla," Percy told her. Nyla was a shirshu who served as the mount and constant companion for June, for those who don't know, a shirshu was basically a very large animal with a mole-like nose that could track down pretty much anything. Like other shirshus, Nyla's tongue contained toxins that could temporarily paralyze humans, making her one deadly animal.
"Excuse me, I'm still here!" Growled Zuko.
"And I'm still drunk."
Scene 2 -
"Damn it!" June hissed as she jumped on Nyla. "Keep them busy," She told Percy before she and Nyla ran off, leaving him alone with the avatar and his two friends.
"Bye-bye," Percy waved cheerily at Nyla's back before turning to the Avatar. "So, this is the part where we fight, I suppose,"
"Don't worry guys," Sokka said with a confident grin as he pulled out his bone club. "I've got this," He told his friends before charging forward with his club raised high. Percy could tell instantly that the boy wasn't really well trained, given how he left his whole body open to be attacked.
'This'll be easy,' Was Sokka's main thought as he neared Percy. At least it was until Percy suddenly pulled out what appeared to be a golden sword that quickly sliced his bone club in half, leaving Sokka dazed enough for Percy to follow through with a thunderous punch to the side of his head, sending him straight to the floor.
"You most certainly did not have this," Percy told him before looking at the other two.
"Go Aang," Katara said. "You get her, I'll hold him off."
"Right," Aang nodded before running towards Percy at full speed, the young airbender leapt into the air, soaring over Percy's head and was about to land away from him when he felt something grab his leg and pull him down onto the ground, he looked at his leg and saw a water whip grabbing onto it.
"A waterbender?!" Katara gasped.
"Nah, THE waterbender," Percy grinned before Aang used his staff to cut off the whip, the young Avatar charged at him, Percy tried to slash at him with his sword but the bald monk quickly ducked under and tried to hit him with several airbending moves that Percy dodged. It wasn't long before Katara started throwing in her waterbending techniques, leaving Percy to defend on two fronts. It was when Sokka started standing up that Percy realised he should probably end this quickly. He raised his foot before slamming it down on the ground, hard, sending a large shockwave that knocked all three of his opponents down to the floor.
"You...you...that was earthbending!" Aang blurted out as all three stared at him with shock and horror.
"I'm the son of the 'Earth-shaker'," Percy said. "And I've still got plenty of tricks to spare,"
