Walking into the grill, Bonnie walked towards the bar as she noticed Vickie standing behind it. "Hey Vickie," Bonnie said as she set her purse down and took her jacket off before sitting down on one of the barstools. "Has Damon shown up yet?" she asked. They had planned to meet up at the grill for lunch, but Bonnie was the first one who showed up. Bonnie called Matt earlier to check to see if Jeremy was working today; if he was, Bonnie would have suggested the cafe instead. Luckily for her, today is Jeremy's day off.
Vicki shook her head." No, not yet. Can I get you a drink while you wait?"
Yeah, just white wine will be fine," Bonnie answered as she pulled out her credit card from her wallet and handed it over to Vicki. "I know it's been a while since the last time we've talked; what have you been up to?" Bonnie asked as soon as Vicki set the glass down in front of her.
Besides working here? Vicki asked with a chuckle as she shrugged her shoulders. "Not much really," she said. "Still going to school and focusing on trying to get the hell out of this town." Vicki is getting a business degree and she's hoping to get out of Mystic Falls once she graduates from college.
Bonnie asked, "Are you still planning on going to Chicago?" as she took a sip of her wine.
I don't know; I'm actually thinking of moving to New Orleans instead, Vickie said as she shrugged her shoulders.
" You should totally move to New York instead. New York has everything, Theatres. Museums and the best restaurants in the city. A glass of bourbon please?." Katherine asked as she sat down at the bar and looks over at Bonnie. She's buying, Hello Bonnie."
Bonnie said, "Katherine, what are you doing here?" She was the very last person Bonnie ever expected to see.
" Duh, getting a drink like everyone else." Katherine said with a snort as she took a sip of her bourbon after Vicki set it down in front of her and walked away to help other customers." Is that a problem?"
" No, what are you doing here in Mystic Falls?"
" Well if you must know, I'm here because I need to talk to Damon."Katherine said as she took another sip of her drink.
Talk to him about what exactly? Bonnie asked as she still didn't understand what was going on.
Setting her glass down after she exhales deeply, Katherine looks over at Bonnie for a moment before answering Bonnie's question. "There's something you should know, Bonnie," she says. "Last week, Damon called me in the middle of the night and told me that he still loves me and that he wants to fix our marriage."
Not believing a word Katherine said, Bonnie looked straight into her eyes. "I know what you're doing, and it's not going to work," she said. "You're trying to manipulate me into thinking Damon still has feelings for you so I'll leave him, and then he'll end up running back to you." Bonnie scoffed as she shook her head. "Are you really that desperate?"
Katherine shrugs her shoulders as she snorts a little."Fine, don't believe me. But I have no reason to lie to you. Bonnie and I are not trying to manipulate you either. Damon still loves me and I still love him. The only reason why he slept with you in the first place was because he was mad at me and he was just using you."
She started feeling sick and losing her appetite all of a sudden.
"Bonnie," Katherine said, "you don't look so good. Are you okay?"
Bonnie suddenly got up from the bar. "I gotta go," she said as she quickly grabbed her stuff and walked away from Katherine and out of the Grill. As soon as Bonnie stepped outside, she closed her eyes and took deep breaths, trying to calm herself down.
Bonnie isn't sure what believe anymore. For months She believed that Damon would never do anything to hurt her. She trusted him and believed that he loved her. She never thought that he would actually use her to get back at Katherine. She never thought that he was still in love with Katherine either. The last thing Bonnie ever expected was for Damon to hurt her like Jeremy did. Bonnie jumped a little when she felt her cell ping with a text message. Bonnie sighs as she pulls out her cell and open her text messages.
Hey Bonnie, I'm running little late. But I should be there soon. I promise.
After reading Damon's text message Bonnie deeply sighs as she responded back.
Actually I'm not really feeling that well all of sudden. I am going to head home and try to get some rest.
Once the text message was sent Bonnie quickly sent Jenna a text message saying she also wasn't feeling well and she went home for the rest of the day. Which was true After hearing what Katherine told her Bonnie was feeling sick to her stomach. But she also wanted to be alone and she really wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone especially Damon. At least for now.
Twenty minutes after receiving Bonnie's text message, Damon pulled up in front of Bonnie's house. He was starting to worry about her. This morning, Bonnie was completely fine, and then she suddenly canceled their lunch date due to claiming that she wasn't feeling well. Something must have happened, and Damon wanted to know what it was.
Walking into Bonnie's house, he closed the door behind him. Upstairs, Damon headed towards her bedroom. As he reached the door, he lifted his fist and gently knocked on it. "Hey, Bon. It's me," he said softly. "Can I come in please?"
Bonnie sighed heavily as she got out of bed and walked straight to her bedroom door, pulling it open forcefully as she glared at Damon. "What do you want, Damon?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
Damon said, "I was worried about you. I wanted to come by and check on you. Bonnie, what's wrong?" He was totally confused about why she was acting this way. "Did something happen? Did Jeremy say something?"
Bonnie sighed with a scoff as she walked away from him. "Yeah something did happen, no it wasn't Jeremy either. It was Katherine." She said through gritted teeth.
Damon said as he walked further into the room and stood in front of Bonnie. "Katherine? What the hell are you talking about?"
" She came by the Grill earlier, telling me that she needed to talk to you. Did you even know that she was in town?" Bonnie asked in a hard tone.
" Of course not, What exactly did Katherine tell you?"
Bonnie scoffed once again and shrugged her shoulders slightly."Does it matter?"
" Yeah, it does. Bonnie what happened between you two at the Grill?"
As she walked toward her bed, she sat down and sighed deeply. "Katherine told me that you called her late one night last week, saying that you still loved her and wanted to fix your marriage," Bonnie said, looking down for a moment.
What?! Bonnie, please tell me you didn't actually believe that bullshit?
Bonnie shook her head as she looked up at him."At first I didn't believe it, but then she told me the only reason you even slept with me in the first place was because you were trying to get back at her, and you used me. How the hell could you do that? I trusted you, Damon."
Kneeling down in front of Bonnie, Damon grabbed both of her hands and gripped them tightly against his. "You do realize what Katherine is trying to do here, right?" he asked, looking into her eyes. "She's trying to come between us and mess with your head. Don't let her come between us, like this." He pleaded with Bonnie.
Bonnie closed her eyes as she inhaled and exhaled deeply before opening her eyes and looking into his. "Do you still love Katherine?" She asked, dreading the answer.
Damon exhales deeply."I'm not going to lie to you, Bonnie," he says, looking down at their intertwined fingers. "Katherine was my first wife, and I will always love her. But I don't love Katherine the way I love you, Bonnie, and I will never ever use you to get back at her."
Hearing his words and seeing the truth in his eyes, Bonnie took a deep breath and leaned forward, kissing Damon with such love and passion as she placed her hand against his neck and jawline, slowly pulling back. "I love you too, Damon," she said with a smile.
Damon smiles back as he leans in and kisses Bonnie back just as passionately, moving up and laying her down on the bed as he presses his body against hers. He continues to kiss her with so much love and desire, groaning against her lips as he grips his hands around her thighs. He smirks against her lips.
Damon has no idea why Katherine is here in Mystic Falls or why she would even go to Bonnie in the first place. What Damon and Katherine once had is in the past, and it absolutely has nothing to do with what Damon has with Bonnie. What Damon and Bonnie have is real, and it's the most realistic thing Damon has ever felt in his life. And nobody will ever take it away from him, not even Katherine.
AN: So... let me know what you all think of this chapter. Don't worry Damon is going to confront Katherine soon. Leave reviews as always and I will update soon. Love you all.
