Abby was in the kitchen getting dinner ready, while she and her husband Rudy waits for Bonnie to show up with her new boyfriend. Turning off the fire on the stove and placing the pans to the side, so they can cool. Abby walked into the dining room to check on Rudy, to see if he needed some help setting the table." Dinner is ready. Just letting it cool down." She said as she helped him finish setting the table.

Rudy nods his head. "When is Bonnie and her new boyfriend coming? What's his name again? Damien?"

Abby snorts a laugh as she shook her head." His name is Damon and they should be here in any moment now." She said as she walked up to her husband and placed her hand against his chest." Hey, promise me that you will be on your best behavior and not try to scare this man away." The last thing Abby needs is for Rudy to scare off Damon and Bonnie ends up not talking to them again.

"I am always on my best behavior." Rudy said defensively as he then saw the look on his wife's face, telling him otherwise. He sighed and nodded his head. "Alright, I promise to be on my best behavior tonight and not try to scare off this Damon fella." He said as he leaned down and kissed Abby's cheek before going into the kitchen to check on dinner.

Abby chuckled softly as she shook her head. Once she heard the sound of their doorbell, Abby walked out into the living room and towards the door. As soon as Abby pulled the door open, she noticed Bonnie and a man whom she assumed was Damon Salvatore standing outside her door.

" Oh Bonnie, it's so good to see you sweetheart." Abby said as she stepped closer and embraced her in a hug.

" It's good to see you too mom." Bonnie said softly with a smile as she hugs her mom back. Letting Abby go, Bonnie stood next to Damon as she rest her hand against his chest." Mom this is Damon Salvatore, my new boyfriend. Damon this is Abby Bennett, my mom." She said with a smile as she introduces them.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Bennett," Damon said as he shook Abby's hand and leaned forward, giving her a friendly kiss on her cheek.

" Like wise Damon, and please just call me Abby." She said as she shook his hand." Well come on, dinner is ready and you're dad has already set up the table." She said again as she let's Bonnie and Damon in before she closed the door behind them.

"Is that my baby girl that I hear?" Rudy asked as he walked into the living room a few seconds later.

"Hi, Daddy!" Bonnie said with a smile as she walked over to her dad and threw her arms around his neck, giving him a hug.

" Hi baby." Rudy said softly as he hugs Bonnie back and kisses the top of her head. He then noticed a man standing next to Abby." So are you going to introduce me to your new boyfriend?"Rudy asked.

Bonnie nods her head as she let her dad go as she walked over to Damon as she rest her hand against his chest, looking over at Rudy." Dad, I would love for you too meet Damon Salvatore. Damon meet my Dad, Rudy Bennett." She said as she introduced them.

"It's good to meet you, Sir." Damon said as he nodded his head and wrapped his arm around Bonnie's waist, pulling her closer.

"You too, Damon." Rudy said as he then noticed the way Damon had his arm around his daughter and he's not quite sure how he really feels about it. Never once had he ever seen Jeremy that way with Bonnie before. As a matter of fact, he never seen him be this affectionate with Bonnie ever.

"Well, come on everyone, let's go eat. Rudy, do you want to help me bring the food to the dining room?" Abby asked her husband as she grabbed his hand and started walking into the kitchen, pulling him along with her.

As Bonnie watches her parents walking into the kitchen, she then looks up at Damon." So, what do you think of my parents so far?" Earlier tonight while they were getting ready to come over for dinner, Bonnie was little nervous. Mostly because she wasn't sure what to expect once she introduced them to Damon and mostly because she wasn't sure how things were gonna go once they're sitting at the table. Bonnie still isn't sure honestly.

Damon grins gently as he gently tugs few strand of hair behind her ear." They seem to be nice so far. Why? Still worried that they might ask too many questions or that your dad might scare me off?" Damon asked as he chuckled softly.

Bonnie nods her head as she sighs softly, "Just a little."

Damon chuckled as he rest his hand against the small part of her back as he leans down and kisses her forehead gently." Come on, let's go join your parents for dinner." He said softly as he follows her into the dining room.

Dinner with her parents went surprisingly well and Bonnie's dad was actually on his best behavior tonight which was really. the last thing Bonnie had ever expected. Seeing how he was, the first time Bonnie brought Jeremy home to meet them. Bonnie could still remember that night like it was yesterday. Jeremy had just came over to pick her up for their first date that night. Rudy kept asking Jeremy lots of questions that night. He even threatened Jeremy with his Rifle if he did anything to hurt Bonnie. Which Bonnie kinda wished that her dad would've used it once she found about Anna... but that was a long time ago and Bonnie is with Damon now.

" Abby, I must say. This dinner is absolutely delicious." Damon said as he commented on Bonnie's Mom's cooking tonight. Damon has,had home cooking plenty of times whenever he would have dinner with his parents, every time he would go visit them.

" Why thank you Damon." Abby said as she was very pleased and honored that Damon liked her home cooking. Whenever someone had a taste of her cooking, and whenever they tell her that they love her food. It really makes Abby feel good about herself.

" So, Damon, where are you originally from?" Abby asked as she took a sip of her wine.

"I'm originally from here, actually. But I work in New York." Damon answered as he also took a drink of his glass of bourbon.

" Why do you work in New York? If you're living here in Mystic Falls?" Rudy asked few seconds later as he continued to eat his dinner and take a drink of his beer.

" Because before I officially moved back here, I was living in New York, and I was also married as well." Damon answered honestly as he could feel Bonnie's eyes on him.

"You're married!?" Rudy asked, as he wasn't expecting that. "Bonnie, did you know about this?"

Bonnie exhales deeply as she nods her head. "Yeah, I knew. But it's not what you think, Dad." Bonnie said as she could tell what her Father was thinking the worse of Damon right now.

"He's married Bonnie. Don't you see how wrong this is?" Rudy said as he shook his head with disappointment. "I thought we taught you better than that. I thought we..." Rudy couldn't finish his sentence when Bonnie suddenly cut him off.

"Daddy, Damon is getting a divorce," Bonnie said calmly as she felt Damon's hand against her back.

" Getting a divorce?" Rudy asked as he wasn't expecting to hear that as he was little dumbfounded as he looked both at Bonnie and then at Damon." Is that true, son? Are you getting a divorce?" Rudy asked as he looks at Damon.

Damon looks over at Bonnie for a moment as he exhales deeply as he nods his head." Yes sir, I am getting a divorce. As matter of fact, my lawyer just got the divorce papers few days ago, after my ex wife had signed them. So I'm officially divorced." Damon answered honestly as he looks over at Bonnie's Dad.

After dinner and after they all sat around and talked for a few hours. Bonnie and Damon decided that it was getting late and Bonnie was all ready to go home soon." Thanks for dinner mom." Bonnie said as she gave her mom a hug before she walked over to Rudy and hugs him goodbye.

"Good night, Daddy." Bonnie said as she hugged Rudy.

"Good night, baby." Rudy said as he hugged Bonnie back and kissed the side of her head before letting her go.

" Drive safe guys." Abby said as she watched Damon and Bonnie walking out of their house. As Abby watched them pulling out of the driveway as she waved them goodbye. She then looks over at Rudy as he was standing next to her." I like him. I think he'll be good for Bonnie." She said before she turned around and walked back into the house.

Ruby exhales deeply as he stood by the door for a moment." I hope you're right." He said softly as he walked back in and closed the door behind him.

Walking through door Bonnie took her jacket off and dropped it across the arm of her chair before she walked into the kitchen and grabbed the bottle of wine from the fridge and one of her wine glasses from the cupboard. After she poured herself a glass. Bonnie looked over as she noticed Damon walking into the kitchen." Well tonight was fun." She said with a small laugh as she leans back against the kitchen counter as she took a sip of her wine.

Damon chuckled as he dropped his car keys on the counter and walked up to her." Yeah, your parents are great people. I had a feeling they were going to like me." He said softly as he lifted Bonnie's chin up by his index finger as he leans down and kisses her deeply and passionately as he smirks against her lips.

Bonnie breathes deeply against his lips as she slowly pulls back as she exhales softly as she nods her head." Yeah, they do especially my mother. Since you did comment on her cooking." Bonnie says as she chuckled softly as she took a sip of her wine.

Damon smirks slightly as he brushes a few strands of hair out of Bonnie's eyes. "I meant what I said; your mom's cooking was delicious, and I can't wait to have more of it the next time we go visit them." Damon said as he chuckled.

Bonnie set her glass down on the kitchen counter as she reached up and started to play with the top button of his shirt. "Um, why didn't you tell me that your divorce from Katherine was finally finalized?" Bonnie asked quietly as she looked up at him.

Damon sighs deeply as he took her hand into his as he lifted her hand up to his lips as he pressed his lips against the back of her hand." I was gonna tell you when we got home, I wanted it be a surprise." He answered softly as he smirks slightly.

" Then of course my dad kinda ruined it." Bonnie said, chuckling softly.

" Hmmm, yeah I guess he did." Damon said with a small laugh. You know, now that I'm finally divorced. I'm free to do whatever I want." He said as he wiggled his eyebrows and smirks slightly.

" Oh, really? And what exactly are you free to do?" Bonnie asked as she played along as she bit her bottom lip.

A grin slowly spread across his face as Damon placed both hands against her face. "Mmmm, I am free to do this," he answered softly as he leaned down and pressed his lips against hers, starting to kiss her deeply and passionately. Tasting the sweet wine in her mouth, Damon continued to kiss her more deeply and passionately as he leaned her back against the kitchen counter and pressed his body against hers, slowly starting to grind his hips against hers as he groaned against her beautiful soft lips.
