Godzilla: The Planet Eater
Both Must Fall: Those who fall so that others may rise
It was insane! Hard to believe! Impossible, even! But nobody could deny this was happening, even if they wanted to!
Mothra and Battra, still showing the sky with their scales against Ghidorah, had been knocked out of the sky by the three-headed nightmare that refused to go down a second time.
"Iiiee!" Mothra chirped.
"Rrrrargh!" Battra roared; both had to lay down the last stand if there was going to be any hope for this world and all of the monsters that would restore the balance that had been lost over the millennia because of a parasitic predator that they couldn't coexist with. "Rrraurgh!"
Godzilla and the others were about to charge Ghidorah and take him down for good, but Mothra and Battra told them to stand down, as they had one last move to make against Ghidorah to ensure that they would come out on top. What other choice did they have but to put their faith in the two flying insects? Faith… What was it to those that barely understood it? What was it to those that were in desperate need of it in its entirety?
Mothra had accepted her fate, time and again, to ensure balance and order on the planet, for all the life that resided on it. The creature that masqueraded as the king of the primordial era that survived to this day, however, was not part of the benevolent existence that helped to rejuvenate the planet. And now Ghidorah, the greater of the two evils due to being a ghost brought back to life, would have to fall again. Plus, she had already done what she needed to do to ensure her return in the future when it was necessary for her and the planet…and could only assume that her counterpart had done the same.
Ghidorah, recalling the last moments where he destroyed this pathetic insect and was set to defeat the barbaric beast that stood in his way, time and time again…until the worst thing happened to him that was beyond his ability to comprehend. He was defeated by Godzilla…and Mothra's lingering essence! That was how it ended for him once, and it was a nightmare that wouldn't die, even after he had lost his original body. But things were different now; all of these wretched roaches that were originally here in the past weren't here now to get in the way, and once these hindrances were removed this world would belong to him. It would truly belong to him…and only he would decide what would stay and what would be forced to go into that wretched silence he had spent an eternity in as a being of energy as a consequence of his failure.
This time, he would destroy them all before they could get the drop on him.

It was utter madness, the way they were observing the fight between the enemy Ghidorah and the monsters of Earth as they continued to give it their all to defeat the revived, three-headed terror from the stars. But even as he watched from the shadows, unseen by the human refugees, Houtua, Exif and Bilusaludo, Brother Correction couldn't help but feel grief and agony over the beasts that this planet was home to and were the ones that could undo the corruption the false Godzilla caused once it usurped the throne from the real one. As much as he wanted to do more to help them, he couldn't intervene when the nature of this existence had an order in the works. For whatever his intentions, he could only observe and see how this fight for the planet would play out, no matter which way the pendulum swung in favor of fate.
Serizawa, you better pray that Ghidorah's defeated for good this time, he thought as he saw Mothra and Battra fly towards the three-headed serpent. You've been long overdue, like so many others, for their eventual rebirth into this world.
He brought his hands together in front of himself and gave a small prayer for the two insects.
Ghidorah opened his mouths and unleashed his gravity beams upon them, much more potent than ever before, triggering a flash that blinded even Brother Correction's eyes.
"Aahhh!" He groaned, shielding his gaze as the light intensified.
"IIIIIIIIIIEEEE!"
"RRRRRRRAAAURGH!"
When the intense light faded, Brother Correction saw, to his grief over this matter, that Battra had barely survived, but was reduced to just his head, one of his claws and half his upper left wing, and was sent flying across the sky into the ocean where he sank beneath the waves. Even if he didn't die, the fierce protector was too injured and beyond any form of medical intervention that could restore him. His only recourse would be to either succumb to his injuries or regress into whatever state his larva form permitted and enter a state of dormancy to recover for as long as possible. But Mothra…was nowhere to be seen, not even the slightest trace of her wings or scales could be detected.
Iiiee! He could hear her essence crying out as it raised a blue shower of glitter-like dust upon the land and monsters remaining, but having a greater reaction to Godzilla, whose hide glowed red-orange for a brief moment before returning to normal.
"Rrrraaurgh!" Godzilla roared in anger over the loss of Mothra, reminded of how exact this demise was over many lifetimes ago.
Ghidorah, on the other hand, was quite pleased with himself. With their defeat, his enemies were reduced to just Rodan and, to a lesser extent, Varan. Once he defeated the remaining adversaries, this world would belong to him.
"Giiiiiurgh!" The heads shrieked.
Brother Correction frowned a very human frown at Ghidorah and thought a very human thought that only those that admired those of the light would think.
You can only enjoy your time on the stage while it lasts, Ghidorah, he thought. Sooner or later, those curtains have to fall upon your grand moment and the audience has to leave. And as for you… Well, like any other play on a grandiose stage, you will be forgotten about after a sufficient amount of time has passed.

Haruo and the others were deeply affected by the defeats of Mothra and Battra by Ghidorah, leaving them hoping that they would stop Ghidorah like they had stopped Godzilla Earth, ending the devastation and this unholy storm.
Methpies might've been a follower of the beast his people worshipped, but now he had to admit, to himself if not out loud, that this was becoming quite impressive. It was impressive because these creatures, viewed as the original gods of this planet, refused to back down to a god that didn't belong here, even after witnessing two of their own get defeated. And this Godzilla was something to be marveled now that the humans were aware that he was the real one and not a pretender that had an inability to coexist with the other creatures and had tarnished the world.
The pretender was a false king that brought death and destruction, he thought as they all witnessed Rodan fly towards Ghidorah, and this Godzilla is viewed as a protector of sorts. But is he truly a protector? Does he protect the creatures that belong to this world from an outsider or hostile threat…or is he simply another harbinger of desolation?

Rodan charged towards Ghidorah and received a blow to both his body and ego from the three-headed dragon's gravity beams, knocking him back before he could get within ten feet of him, sending him falling to the forest below.
"Rrrrreeeaurgh!" Rodan groaned as he raised his head up…and then fell back down; that last attack caused more harm to him than he had expected, and he would need to rest for a while. "Rrraaugh…"
Ghidorah landed on the ground and glared at the remaining foes. He might've been outnumbered by them, but he was stronger now; the remains of the body he had taken for himself had more durability than his previous vessel, and he still more powerful than these lesser creatures that had never traversed the vast ocean of space. They were beings that would never know the great secrets that he had discovered and taken for himself, the boundless knowledge that came at the great price of abandoning all that was originally possessed. He had fallen enough times, and now it was his time to rise above them all again.
To be continued…
A/N: Battra will return, but not right now. Mothra will rise again, but not right now. Brother Correction, after his brief involvement in putting the characters on the path to their future, is just an observer now, a spectator; he won't intervene, but he'll stick around to watch the outcome, like a patron coming to a theater to watch a movie that was getting much reviews. Let's hear from y'all what you think so far.
