Chapter 1: New Arrivals

Forks, Washington.

The small little town in which we live in.

The four bedroom, two bathroom house, which stood on the outskirts of town near the forests in which we were surrounded by. The trees covered in green moss and plants that surrounded it, and the never ending supply of clouds, which covered the sun.

The town in which I have spent seventeen years of my life in, and my siblings, sixteen years.

I live with my mother, Renee Swan and my father, Charlie Swan. Married fresh out of high school and had me. Isabella Marie Swan. Then over a year later, had fraternal twins, Katherine and Matthew Swan.

"Bella, Get up!" Renee yelled from downstairs, her voice echoing up the stairs and bouncing off into my room.

"I'm already up Mom!" I replied hastily while making my way to the bathroom. My reflection passed by me in the mirror, and I stared at my reflection in the mirror for a moment before beginning to have a shower. The girl who looked back at me was petite, and had a pale and translucent complexion. Her thick, long, brown hair framing her face and complementing her chocolate brown eyes.

I looked nothing like my siblings who both had dark brown hair, Katherine's framing her face a little more loosely, and blue eyes. Matthew had more of an athletic build about him, and his hair was thick and groomed to sit on top of his head. Katherine was more like me, petite and her hair was almost identical to mine, having our ringlets that framed our faced individually.

I stepped out of the shower, the steam droplets sticking to my skin with the heat from the shower. It smelled like strawberries inside the room, and the smell clung to me as I exited the room. Once I had brushed my hair and gotten dressed into my brown blouse and a pair of jeans, putting on my shoes along with it before I made it downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning Mom" I said as I passed her on my way to grab a pop tart from the toaster.

"Morning Bells" Renee said as she saw me, a small smile adorning her face. "Will you please do me a favour and wake up Katherine and Matthew please?"

I smiled at her, of course they are both still asleep. "Of course Mom. Have a good day at work." I replied quickly, kissing her cheek before I stalked down the hall to wake up both my siblings. I banged my fist on both doors individually, yelling through the wood in hopes to wake both up without invading their privacy.

"Alright I'm up "Katherine stated as she opened her door. I was surprised to see her dressed and ready to go. She wore a soft pink blouse, and jeans. Her makeup was done to perfection, her eyes appropriately framed and the right amount of colour to her cheeks.

"You look nice. What's the occasion?" I asked, placing a smirk on my face as I continued to take in her reflection. She beamed at me and then let out a little giggle before the door behind us opened suddenly and our brother tumbled out of the room. We giggled at him, who had taken no effort in his clothes and by the looks of it, grabbed out the closest thing to him.

"Morning Bella… Ooo a pop tart" He said as he grabbed it from my hand and took a bite. I glared at him as he continued to eat it, but he showed no sign of wanting to give it back.

"We have new students today, to answer your question Bella. I wanted to make a good first impression." she shrugged her shoulders lightly as we walked towards the exit, stopping to put on our jackets as we exited. "I'm surprised you haven't heard, It's all Jessica and Lauren have been talking about all week so far"

"I've learnt to block you three out when you talk. You guys talk like old women" I stated as a matter of fact. Which was precisely why I clung so closely to Angela Webber. She had such pure intentions and heart that anyone who met her was to like her quickly. There was not one person in school who didn't like her.

"True. You guys do gossip like old women'' Matt stated again, shrugging his shoulders. "It takes off that rumour about you Is, you know, about you and Mike" He said looking at me with a smirk on his face, gently punching my shoulder as he jumped into the passenger seat beside me.

"We all know Jess has the biggest crush on him" I giggled, remembering her attempts to get Mike to like her and failing miserably. In Mike's defence, he was quiet blind to her attempts to get her to notice him. "Plus, we all know that Mike's just a friend to me, and I have never had any feelings for him"

I put the car into drive, and drove off down the road towards our local high school. Our little local highschool had three hundred and fifty three students, and to the sound of the latest gossip, now three hundred and fifty eight students total.

"So Dr. Cullen is this hot shot doctor that moved from a big city. His wife wanted to move to a small town and she chose here. He works at the hospital and they are married. They also adopted five kids, two Hales which are twins and three Cullens. Three of them are in Senior year and two of them are in Junior year with us" Kat concluded as I drove. For once, it was nice to have something different to talk about rather than petty teenage rumours.

"I wonder if any of them are single" Matthew mused silently to themselves. I threw him a look and he met it, looking away instantly. "What, Bella, you haven't had a boyfriend… ever…It's actually getting kind of depressing"

"No, he has a point Bella. We've all had boyfriends and our fair share of firsts. It's time you get on with yours" Kat spoke up from the back behind me. I sighed loudly, knowing ultimately they had a point. I was perfectly happy though by myself, I didn't want to serial date like my siblings (or sibling, for that matter. Matthew had a horrible record with dating. Even so that our parents knew about it). I was perfectly content with being single and holding onto my firsts.

My car pulled into the school parking lot, we were barely here on time, and almost about to be late. We all slid out of the car, and I made sure to lock it behind me as Mike and Jess slid in beside me.

"Morning Bella. Excited for the new arrivals?" Jess asked me, a smile on her face. I shrugged my shoulders at her. I really couldn't care less.

"No, Not really. I'm just glad the normal gossip is not on the radar at the moment" I said truthfully. I scanned around the parking lot and found a new car in the lot that I immediately didn't recognise. It was flash, and obviously more expensive than the other cars in the lot. "On other topics, Jess you look absolutely gorgeous today!" I exclaimed to her. She beamed at me.

"Really?" She asked, her tone reaching.

"Of course!" I nudged Mike with my elbow. "Doesn't she Mike?"

He stuttered, looked at me and then Jess. A smile planted on his face. "Of course you do, Jess!" He exclaimed while looking at her. A smug smile appeared on my lips, and a shy smile along with a blush spread across Jessica's face.

We all walked into the building, the doors and the heat enveloping us like a warm bubble swallowing us. Mike said his goodbyes as he separated from us to go and give his special tour to the newcomers of Forks. I giggled as I had seen his enthusiastic tours, only doing them to get out of class without costing his grade.

The rest of the day trudged on until lunch, where we piled our trays with food and turned to our usual table. Lauren, Jessica and Katherine talked about the latest gossip, the Cullens.

"So there are three boys and two girls" Lauren stated, eyeing the cafeteria doors waiting for them to come in. "The hales, the blonds are Rosalie and Jasper. And the other ones are Emmett, Alice and Edward"

"Those names sound super ancient" Jess said, looking at Lauren eagerly to hear more information. "Guess their birth parents are old fashioned" she shrugged.

"But here's the weird thing. They're all together, apart from Edward. Rosalie and Emmett, Jasper and Alice. It's super weird" Lauren stated, looking around the table.

"Maybe Dr. Cullen is like a foster dad slash matchmaker" Angela giggled at the silly statement. Jessica pretended to swoon.

"I hope. Maybe he'll adopt me" Jess giggled along with her at their stupidity, her dark curly hair bouncing with her movement. We all returned to our food until the cafeteria doors opened and the newcomers stalked inside…

Author's Note: This is my official retirement story. Thought I would put to rest this part of my life and also revisit the memories. If I get enough motivation, I will continue it past the first book of the series. Thank you everyone for always sticking by my writing and supporting me these past couple of years. I am forever thankful. xx
