Hello and welcome to my very first story! I'm not really a "good writer" since this is the first time I've done something like this but I'm excited. This is going to be a overlord x Musoku tensei fanfic. There are some things I would like to address about some characters and there scaling plus other stuff and also M because it's a little dark but before I get ahead of myself here is the prologue of this story Hope you enjoy! (PS I do not own overlord nor mushoku tensei)

Momanga was slowly counting the hours when YGGDRASIl will end he just couldn't believe it. It was already 8 years ago when he joined the guild of Ainz ooal gown, those days were the best. Back when the guild was feared and respected by all how they managed to fight off 1500 players during one raid. Back then he felt as if that was going to last forever.

"well, what's done is done" Momanga said to himself.

"dammit" in a fit of rage he slapped his hand on the table he was sitting Infront of. In the end not one off his friends came to say goodbye. This hurt Momanga deeply But after a few seconds he composed himself

"No, you knew this would happen you can't get mad at them now." One of the rules to join Ainz ooal gown was that you had to be a member of society so this out come wasn't unexpected for Momanga

With a heavy sigh he stood up from his chair and walked to the throne room making sure to take the staff of Ainz ooal gown with him. Along the way he saw a few of the NPC in Nazairck but he didn't pay any attention towards them

In the end he just wanted to be alone in his final moments of the game

"Oh well it's not like I can rewind time and do it all over again, although I can stop it mmphh" making a small joke with himself before his un timely demise

"Well it was fun while it lasted" with that Momanga closed his eyes and was ready to log off he did have work tomorrow to do.

But time went on when Momanga opened his eyes again he saw a white void nothing was there it was like he himself didn't execist but before could even react to the situation he was in he was throw into an entire new one.

"what's going on?!"

But at the end of his sentence, he was looking at a grass plain nothing was in sight only a few bushes here and there.

"huh uh what no wait huh" but before he could freak out even more the his confusion stopped, It was as if a higher being told him to calm down.

"Mhhh uh that was weird but more importantly why am I still in the game wait … Is this YGGDRASIL 2?"

"but this doesn't make any sense those shitty devs would've tried to milk something like that for as much as possible. Is this like a secret beta test for all players who stayed till midnight? Momanga could no longer hide his excitement but once again before he could experience the emotion it was suppressed

"there it is again but what is it it's like something forcing me to stay calm is this really YGGDRASIL?. Wait where are the controls?" seeing a clear view Infront of him he became scared

"Wait if I can't leave then what will happen to my body?!" Momanga didn't waste a second and tried to do a gm call …. Nothing happened 'shit' he thought 'maybe message will work' …. but again nothing

'well if this is really YGGDRASSIL 2 then I don't want to put a target behind my back for other players.' So Momanga pulled away his staff and chair back in his inventory considering he had now basically 3 world-class on him

The stress was building up again but what really surprised him was another sense smell. This was a whole other issue because it was illegal for VR games to have more then 2 senses in a game otherwise it would be A to addictive or B the person couldn't know reality from fiction

To test if he was still in YGGDRASIL he picked up the source of the smell, a beautiful red flower with tiny little thorns on it. But before he could feel the thorns on the flower the flower turned to dust.

It was also then when he noticed that the whole area around 10 m radius had become pitch black with no life insight Momanga quickly figured out that this was his passive at play Despair aura V

Not exactly knowing how to turn it off he simply picked up the dust that was left from the flower 'Well here goes nothing' and with his gigantic Skelton hand he slowly moved his fingers and he felt everything from the rough sand like dust to eventually his own finger again

'there are still some test I need to do but either this is the most illegal game I will ever play or this is not a game…' Momanga didn't know what to feel but one thing was for sure he didn't like it.

'I also feel strange not in the sense that I feel uncomfortable but in the sense that I feel like I could do anything it's refreshing.' With a heavy sigh he casted /fly/ and in an instant he flew up in the air

"wow this is so unreal." Momanga flew higher and higher until he was above the clouds he looked at the sun and was contented "I never want this to end." But as soon as he said it he heard something with his enhanced hearing he heard a scream.

When he flew downwards he saw a women being stopped by some thugs 'hmmm I mean this might be an NPC mission but better be safe then to be sorry.'

As Momanga was turning away he heard the women scream for help once again but this time the thugs were on here and starting to rip her clothes off. Momanga then remembered his old friend touch me sama and how they first met

"hm time I pay of that debt huh?"

"Stop screaming you stupid bitch this is going to be far more fun if your just going to enjoy it!" one of the thugs said while gently putting a knife on her neck

"what do we have here some washed up little bastards." Momanga said trying to sound cool but on the inside he was more like 'oh damn oh damn oh damn what am I thinking with washed up bastards that's like super cringe okay okay just calm down and try to use your RP skills you can do this!'

"huh mhh just walk away don't be the hero, hey I'm warning you not a step closer or this bitch get-" before the tug could make another remark he fell on the ground lifeless. 'mhhh good at least instant death magic still works but /grasp of hart/ is a pretty strong spell let's see what this does.'

"holy damn James are you al-" /chain dragon lightning/ and before the other thugs could even help there friend they were dead absolutely roasted to pieces

The women was now able to escape the thugs claws and was in shock from her savior

"absolutely pathic being taken out by a sixth tear spell"

"Auh boss let's get out of here!" the last remain thug said next to what was now known as their boss. "nah I'd win I mean I am a saint level fire mage after al have a little trust." The boss said

'But this guy is strong I need to watch out not only can he shorten the casting time he also has electric magic this could be dangerous.'

"keep him busy I will kill him." Commanding the last thug

'Mhhh interesting these people do seems weak but I'm interested what they can do but just to be sure /blessing of hades/' Momanga casted, as soon as he was done how ever he was stabbed by the thug

"I got him I got him you saw tha-"

"Let the vast and blessed flame converge at they command! O raging fire, offer us a great and blazing gift!/ex flame/" the man said and the two were covered into a fire

"NOOO." The women screamed

"well miss there goes your hero but don't worry I will be able to pay some new man if I sell you so don't fred to much mhmhmm." Raising his hand trying to grope the women it was broken off.

"You really think that something like that could take me out but I must say I've never heard thar spell before mind if I go take a look at it." Momanga said

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, HOW ARE YOU ALIVE YOU'RE SPUPPOSED TO BE BURNT TO A CRISP!" the Boss said

"mhh the truth of the matter is your fire is just weak not even enough to leave a scratch on me." Momanga said getting a little bit of that Rp skill in.

"No impossible that's not true I'm a saint level mage and I-" before he could say another word he fell to the ground his life was no at an end

"Miss are you alright?" the gigantic man slowly hunched forward to not make the woman scared.

"Yeah I'm fi-fine thank you so much can I please know the name of my savior the woman said." Blushing a little when Momanga came to close.

"Mhhh you can call me Momanga nice to meet you, your sure your alright? You look like you have a fever." Momanga was having a simple conversation with the woman but what he noticed was that the woman's mouth didn't match what she said. He heard Japanese but the movement of the mouth didn't match it at all and with that said he still went closer to the woman.

"Uehhh sir Momanga could you please move back a little. The woman said now as bright as a tomato

"Oh I'm sorry miss?"

"Annie my name is Annie and thanks that you saved me again hey listen come follow me and come to my tavern you can sleep the night for free!" Annie said

Although Momanga wanted to explore a little more he wanted to test a few other things first. "thank you miss Annie but I have other urgent business to do so if you would excuse me.

"Oh Yeah sure don't sweat it but if you ever need a place to sleep just come to my place it's down this road to the village right next to the adventure's guild." Annie said while waving goodbye to Momanga and of she went.

'mhhh adventure's guild I need to check that out it sounds awesome! But first things first.' Momanga turned around to see the corpse of the boss right Infront of him /dark wisdom/ although he did have the skill to have over 700+ spells he only used about 650 meaning he still had some open for consumption

And right after he used the skill he could feel it all the knowledge this guy had it was as if he learned it the basics of magic and the more advanced stuff he knew it all

"I see so it works like expected okay part 1 completed let's see test 2 then." With that he stood over the corpse and casted /summon low tear undead :death knight/ and a black gue came from his hand taking over the man that tried to stab him now being a 2.5 meter tall Skelton.

'woah this is totally different from YGGDRASSIL it completely takes over the body!' He thought while his jaw was wide open

'mhhh well that's it for now let's see what did that girl say again end of the road next to the adventure's guild.'

(In the village tavern at night Annie pov)

'man who was that guy he was so strong! I've never seen magic like that before plus he took out a saint class fire mage like it was nothing!' Annie was in deep thought although she wouldn't be for long

"Welcome to our Inn what can I oh." Half way in her sentence she stopped seeing her savior once again. But she must admit it was a strange sight to see. Not only was he strong but also big like bigger then most warriors big plus he shortened the casting time of his magic not to mention his clothes it was all just unreal.

"Hello again Annie still feeling okay after what happened today?" he spoke in a soft and calm voice

"Y-yes thanks to you of course! So you want a place to sleep here tonight?" she said stuttering a little when she said it

Putting his hand up Momanga shook his head "No I was really looking for something else."

'so he's here for just money oooh well it's not like I can blame him.' Annie coughed in her hand "So how much money you want?"

"Oooh No I'm not here for money I was looking for something else" Momanga said while silently casting a protection spell on the chair he was planning to sit on just in case it would break under his massive body.

'Wait what if he's not here for money then oh aaahhhhh.' Annie's mind was now producing the most naughty things she could think off "Uuh sure w-where you want to do it I k-know that I'm nothing good to look at b-but my body isn't t-that b-bad so if you w-want."

"what are you talking about? I merely wish to know about the surrounding area."

"huh?" Annie was absolutely flabbergasted when she heard that this man was study magic alone for quite a few years like a hermit and didn't really know anything about anything. What was even more weird was that he didn't even know the basic continents and there kingdom's

So after a hour or so talking about the kingdoms there regions all the way to demon gods and other strong people Momanga had basically gotten most of the history and geographical knowledge an average person needed to know.

"Thank you so much Annie you're a live safer." Momanga said

"yeah yeah thank me later but what are you going to do considering this is the central continent there isn't really much a mage on your caliber can't do?"

"I was thinking about expanding my magic even further you said that there was a magic academy in the northern part of the central continent?"

"Yeah but you know enrolling in that school isn't cheap." Annie spoke also thinking of a solution "Oh I know why don't you do quest's here I know it doesn't pay al that well but I think you should have it done in about a year or two."

'mhhh I mean I could do that but again I could also sell a few ruby's for a good price again on the other hand it might be suspicion if one person is just pumping out a whole jewelry shop might be best if I just do the quests.

"Mmmh sounds good but could you help me I mean I don't think I can read this language."

"fine but then were even alright!" Annie said she was happy that this man was so different he was strong but timid kind to she was jealous of his future wife.

"Well let's go then." Annie partially dragging Momanga along with her to the adeventure's guild

"mhhh let's see WOW." Annie said

"What is it? Is it a quest to hunt a dragon, to stop a village from becoming destroyed by raiders? Or no is it a quest to claim a legendary weapon?" Momanga was becoming excited again but before his emotional suppression could kick in she laughed.

"hahahahhaa what do you think this is the demon continent?" Annie continued her laughter. "No it's a job to tutor a little kid in magic but it pays 2 silver coins per month if your advanced and 3 if you're a saint lvl in magic so in other words it's easy money for you."

"Oh" Momanga looked a little disappointed but it didn't stay for long 'I want to see if there are other players transported to this world by exploring but first I want to be stronger in case that there aggressive plus learning this language in the meantime couldn't hurt.'

"Sure I'll do I-" but before he could finish his sentence Momanga felt a slight nuge in his back. "Oh I'm sorry miss are you alright?" when Momanga looked back he saw a small young girl with long blue hair a wizard had holding a staff longer then herself.

"Oh no the fault is mine apologies." The small girl said when she looked up however she felt her hart pound what was this feeling she was scared for her life but why?

"your also looking for a job huh well scram this one is ours." Annie said to the small girl.

Momanga looked back in shock "that's no way to talk, sorry miss were you also looking for this job?" he tried to give her a chance to speak but she slowly picked up herself

"N-no go ahead I was l-looking for something else anyway." She said quickly going away

"I think you scared her." Annie said looking at Momanga in an unimpressed face

"What I scared her it was definitely you who scared her!" responding back with vigor

"Oh well nothing we can do now but he now you got the job it just say's to come tomorrow or the day after and show them what you got!"

"Mmhh why not." Momanga slowly gave the paper to the receptionist and with that he was a teacher who was going to teach tomorrow 'Well let's see what this world has to offer.'

And there is the prologue About 3k words I think I did a decent job with it now a few things like I said before there are going to be spoilers here about mushoku tensei plus maybe some lies since I don't know the series of overlord and Mushoku tensei all that well. 1st I think Momanga would stay with the same name unlike the original story because he doesn't have nazarick with him 2nd I think Momanga is by far the strongest person in Mushoku tensei and nobody even comes close to it, this mainly stands from the orsted vs rudeus fight where orsted was pretty hurt after getting a fire spell who was as strong as a nuke on his ass. I thereby personally think orsted is about lvl 80-90 in overlord terms much like pdl. 3rd dark wisdom, I have no Idea how this spell works but I think it works like that were you gain the knowledge of magic from a defeated caster. And lastly hitogami will be absolutely trerrifed of Momanga because when he was transported to the mushoku tensei world he first went to the void world where he resides. Seeing such a weird sight he didn't engaged but in my opinion in the coming chapter Hitogami will try and keep a close watch on Momanga
