A/N I don't own Harry Potter or The Ring.

Albus Dumbledore readied himself to face the truth, what kind of Harry Potter would arrive at Hogwarts. He had hoped he would be weak and malleable, but somehow he doubted that would be the case. Dumbledore strongly suspected that whoever was harboring Harry was behind the unfortunate fate of the Dursleys. Yes, Dumbledore would find out Potter's secrets.

Harry and Samara entered Kingscross Station with minutes to spare after Treeflex had dropped them off. The two were holding hands and made for quite the striking couple. They both were wearing dark leather clothing which matched their raven hair, Harry's being in a tight skin fade, and Samara had shoulder length hair that curtained down the side of her face highlighting her pale complexion and icy eyes.

They heard a commotion coming from a rather masculine red headed women whom was leading a bunch of school aged children with the same red hair.

"Platform 9 and three quarters this way"! she screeched while she waved her hands frantically, which confused several muggles. Harry and Samara ignored the commotion and crossed onto the platform and boarded the train without a fuss. The platform itself was full of the hustle and bussle of many frantic parents seeing off their spawn, as they started another year at Hogwarts. Harry noticed the wry, almost wistful smile on Samara's face as she observed the scene, no doubt pondering the first four years of Hogwarts that they had missed. There was no going back.

What the young couple had done the last four years was worth it. You see, for the past four years Harry and Samara had delved into the strongest but most wicked aspects of magic, all through research in the prevously undiscovered dark wing of the library at Potter Castle. They researched in the library undisturbed except for Treeflex bringing them meals for years, until they stubled on horcruxes.

A horcrux was a soul container that housed a splintered piece of somebody's soul, James and Lily's portraits were mortified when they caught wind of Harry qnd Samars's exciting dialogue on the subject, so Harry set them on fire, pleasing Samara whom believed each other was all they ever needed.

Harry and Samara had done the impossible, while horcruxes were nothing new, nobody had ever put two diffrent peoples soul onto one horcrux. In a seemingly benign VHS tape Harry and Samara's soul lived together in harmony anchoring them to the earth.Harry and Samara's VHS horcrux also had other powers. when somebody watched it they had seven days to copy and pass it on or they died. For every copy made, a new horcrux was created. Essentially the person would have to die or pass it on and it would never stop! The video contained clues of the couples suffering at the Morgan Ranch, 12 Privet Drive, and the well.

Harry and Samara found a compartment to themselves and wasted no time getting down to business. The two had no problem being very intement with each other, and the fact that they were on the train did not deter them at all. After an hour a disheveled Harry left the compartment to find the treat trolley, when he bumped into a bushy haired girl and her read headed counterpart. They were both wearing scarlet and gold badges.

"Why are you not in uniform yet, and who are you, you are clearly not a first-year, identify yourself now before I go to the head boy" the girl screeched. The red headed boy was looking Harry over as he had been appointed by the headmaster to be on Potter watch.

"Blimey your Harry Potter" the redhead said in an entirely too excited voice. Taking Harry's lack of answer as confirmation, the redhead began his tirade. " It was quite a surprise four years ago when you were not on the train, mum was worried frantic, we all thought there was a chance you had made friends with the wrong sort, and now that you are here I can help you, the name is Ron, Ron Weasley" said Ron with an enthusiastic grin, that faded as soon as he noticed Harry was no longer there.

Harry had quickly returned to his girlfriend, with enough sweets to feed the school, when Hermione Granger barged in. "Potter we were not done talking, oh who are you"? she asked in a snoody voice as she noticed Samara for the first time.

Before Samara could give a sarcastic reply, Hermione's eyes noticed the disheveled apperance of the two teens and put two and two together.

"This is a train, not your bedroom, I am going to have to seperate you two, and I will take you personally to the headmaster" she said authoritatively. Harry and Samara exchanged a look obviously debating something. Harry gave a shrug after a minute as if to say "if you must".

Samara stared right at Hermione. Hermione smiled and left the compartment. Samara then got on Harry's lap as they began round two. Hermione ignored Ron as she opened the hatch to the train roof and housted herself into the breeze made my the train as it made its way through the countryside.

Hermione walked in a trance like state to the engine of the train, and before she could think straight, dived off in front of the train. Ron Weasley whom had followed his bossy prefect counterpart, watched in horror as she was mowed in a sickening crunch and nearly lost his balance as the train came to a screething halt.

After an hour in which the conductor met with many officials that had apparated from the Ministry, the train was back on track. A few hours later the train arrived, full of students and rumors.

Harry and Samara got a boat to themselves after threatening any first year that tried to go with them with nothing more than a look. They arrived in the great hall, to see it completley draped in black.

The old man known as Dumbledore stood up to make an announcement. "Before we begin the sorting, I have news that I have not had to make in many years, and that I have wished that I would never have to make again" Dumbledore paused as the hall took every syllable spoken with bated breath.

Dumbledore had let a single tear flow down out of his eye and in to his beard as he continued. "Hermione Granger has passed away, she was an extordinary witch, who's pursuit of learning will be forever imotalized with a plaque outside of the Great Hall, she will be dearly missed, I emplore any with information about Miss Granger's untimely passing to come forward to any member of the staff, tommorow class will be canceled as we will have a memorial service to such a bright life cut so suddenly short." Dumbledore said calmly as his face looked miserable. "Miss Granger, would want us to continue our traditions, so let us begin the sorting" Dumbledore continued.

A/N All right so which house should they go into? Should they be separated? Drop a review!
