"Why are you laughing?" Sid asked
"miss Sid that is a mythical pokemon basically a Pokemon only heard of via myths." Ingo said
"and they're banned on the battle subway!" Emmet said
"so you mean to tell me that I'm holding a mythical creature." Sid said
"that is correct." Ingo said
Sid's brain malfunctioned for a minute
"I think you broke her." Ingo said to shaymin
shaymin simply tilted their head in confusion
"shall we continue on?" Ingo asked
they left to catch more pokemon with Sid following soon after
later at the wallflower
after catching enough pokemon and filling out information in the pokedex the 3 had become 1 star ranked
"what should we do first now that we are at 1 star?" Ingo asked
"well the guard blocking the bridge should let us through now." Sid said "so let's go there."
"Actually that would be a good idea." Professor laventon said "there was a request from warden mai of the diamond clan."
"the diamond clan?" Sid asked
"both the diamond and pearl clan have lived here since before hisui was called hisui. they are the native people of this land." Zane said "and while the clans were at war for a time there is peace at the moment at least."
"well okay then." Sid said
"I am emmet that is verrry good to know." Emmet said
Sid let out a yawn
"i think I'm gonna hit the hay." Sid said "see you tomorrow
"farewell miss Sid." Ingo said "have a good rest."
sid went inside her living space and set her stuff down and got ready for bed
just as she was about to close her eyes she heard the sound of her team coming out of their pokeballs
"you want to cuddle with me?" Sid asked
all 4 Pokémon nodded
"well first I should give you names." Sid said
she looked at cyndaquill
"I'm gonna call you...amber." Sid said
amber liked the name
she then turned to starly
"I'm gonna call you aero." Sid said
aero liked the name
she then turned to shinx
"I'm gonna call you bolt." Sid said
bolt let out a small bark of agreement
she finally turned to shaymin
"I'm gonna call you...meadow." Sid concluded
meadow began to cuddle her which was soon followed by the others
"you're all so soft." Sid said "it makes me...sleepy."
and with that Sid was out like a light
the next day
when Sid woke up she found all her Pokémon next to her fast asleep
"aw they're all so adorable when they're sleeping." Sid said quietly "I'll wait for a bit."
while she waited she decided to paint their pokeballs different with nice patterns
soon after they woke up and then Sid got ready
she stepped outside her living space and saw that akari, Zane, and the twins were waiting for her
"we'll go up ahead to let mai know of you 3." Zane said as he and Akari left
"well let's go after them." Sid said before they followed after them
later
just as they arrived in the obsidian field they heard footsteps behind them
"Boo! Did I surprise you? I bet I did! I was trying to, anyway." A familiar voice said
it was volo
"hey volo what brings you here?" Sid asked
"I want to tell you 3 something." Volo said "There's a secret technique to catching Pokémon, you see. It's what I call the Secret Back Strike Technique! Hitting a Pokémon's back with your Poké Ball will surprise it, making it easier to catch or giving you an advantage once a battle starts!"
"never heard of that." Ingo said
"If you're part of the Survey Corps now, working to create that Pokédex as they all are, you might end up meeting every last Pokémon here in Hisui. You should know I'm already looking forward to the day you accomplish that!" Volo said before leaving
"I am emmet. He's an odd one." Emmet said before they continued on
soon they arrived at the bridge and the guard let them by
waiting for them on the other side was Zane akari and a black haired woman in blue with a Pokémon next to her
"oh hey you guys!" Zane said "mai these are Sid, Ingo, and emmet."
"My, my... 3 new faces in the village? Not that it matters to me if you're new. If you're here, I assume you're prepared to be of help." Mai said "I am one of the wardens of the Diamond Clan. You may call me Mai."
(what's a warden?) Sid Ingo and emmet thought to themselves
"I suppose you might not even know what a warden is, if you're new to Hisui... But such talk can wait. Right now, I'd rather we get straight to the point. I have a problem that I need help solving. So the more important question is this..." mai began "Do you feel confident that you can lead your Pokémon in battle?"
"but of course!" Ingo said
"I am emmet! I love to battle!" Emmet said
"I'm pretty sure I can." Sid said
"This here is my partner, Munchlax. We were raised together like siblings. He battles at my side by choice, without needing any silly little balls like you use. Watch and learn." Mai said
(Oh hell no.) Sid thought to herself
shaymin popped out of her satchel and immediately looked ready to fight
"you had shaymin in your satchel this whole time?" Ingo asked
"they like it." Sid said "now use seed flare!"
shaymin began to glow with green energy before releasing a massive shockwave
"You really aren't one of the usual Galaxy buffoons if you could defeat my partner..." mai said shocked at the fact such a tiny pokemon could have so much power
"Well fought, Munchlax." Mai said patting its head "I'll take care of the Pokémon that battled for us. Even though you don't need it."
She then gave the two some berries
"And I'll let you have these. You people make all kinds of things with your crafting, don't you? These should prove to be useful materials." Mai said handing her to vivichokes
"thanks!" Sid said
"You and your Pokémon fought well together! You practically acted as one with them." Rather like the legendary hero of old... The one we tell stories of to our children." Mai stated
"I think you're indeed the one for the job. You see, I need someone to deal with an alpha Pokémon causing trouble upon Deertrack Heights."
"that's not good." Ingo said
"indeed." Mai said "It is a large, fearsome foe—like any alpha—but you'll come, won't you? To Deertrack Heights?"
"yeah of course!" Sid said
suddenly her arc phone beeped and deer tracked heights was put on her map
"wow that thing is showing you where to go!" Akari said
"My, my, that is some curious sort of map. Is that one of those Galaxy Team inventions I keep hearing about?" Mai asked
Sid shrugged
"It certainly does seem to show the way to Deertrack Heights, up ahead of us." Mai said "It seems you're quite the asset to the Survey Corps, new one."
"aw shucks!" Sid said
"Though... Before we continue, I must ask. Do you already know about almighty Sinnoh?" Mai asked
"almighty what now?" All 3 time travellers asked
"I suppose that's to be expected. Allow me to sketch out the basics..." mai said
"Almighty Sinnoh steers all time. It's said to have created the very universe using its power over time's flow, and this land of Hisui was born in the process. It's by the grace of almighty Sinnoh that Pokémon can live and thrive here." Mai explained "We of the Diamond Clan are descendants of a people who crossed the sea and settled here in the Hisui region to venerate almighty Sinnoh."
"the pearl clan is basically the same however they believe sinnoh controls space instead of time." Zane explained
"precisely." Mai said
"However, it stole away from the world long ago, hiding itself from our sight... Almighty Sinnoh has only rarely been seen by any human, if the old tales are to be trusted."
"But there are still Pokémon here today in Hisui with a connection to almighty Sinnoh. And it is the duty of wardens like myself to attend to their needs."
"huh that's neat." Sid said
"The Pokémon that graces Deertrack Heights is one of those honored few. It is directly descended from a Pokémon that was blessed with almighty Sinnoh's protection." Mai continued "Follow me, and you may understand."
They followed her while catching some new pokemon
after a while they soon found themselves on the top
"Oh? So even your professor decided to join us?" Mai asked
Ingo emmet and Sid turned around and saw the professor running up
"Whew... Thank goodness... I got here in time..." professor laventon said "As a Pokémon researcher, I could hardly miss out on a chance to observe an alpha, now, could I?"
"I suppose that is your business... Fine—as long as you stay out of the way." Mai said
"This is Deertrack Heights... This is where I've long come to pay tribute to a special Pokémon—a Pokémon descended from one of those ancients blessed by almighty Sinnoh."
they a giant red cricket like pokemon with glowing red eyes running around and making lots of noise
"That's not it. That's only a troublemaker, here to disturb the peace with its racket." Mai said "And that's what you're here for, Sid to drive that interloper from this place. I'll ensure your Pokémon are ready for the battle."
she healed Sid's team
"Upon my word...what a large specimen! Little wonder alpha Pokémon are feared across the land if they're all as oversized as this one!" Professor laventon said
"Exactly. They're not only big, though. They are strong and may know moves that others of their kind do not. They're naught to be trifled with, let me tell you. Nevertheless..." mai began "I believe you are stronger still than this alpha. So go show it that, beyond any mistaking!"
"Right!" Sid said stepping forward "amber! Let's go!"
she sent out the fire type who looked ready for battles
"guse ember!" Sid yelled
amber shot a small ball of fur at the alpha Kricketune causing it to try an attack amber with bug buzz
"dodge it!" Sid said "and use ember again!"
Amber dodged the bug buzz by jumping in the air but got hit with an strong style aerial ace as soon as she landed
"amber return!" Sid said thinking amber couldn't go on
but she refused still wanting to fight
suddenly her body began to glow
"she's evolving!" Ingo said
"Amber?" Sid asked
soon the glow faded and Amber had evolved
Amber let out a battle cry before surrounding herself in fire and slammed into the kricketune
"that's flame wheel!" Ingo exclaimed
"Now catch it!" Emmet said
Sid grabbed a pokeball and threw it
the ball connected and began to let out steam and soon after a fire work shot out of the ball
the alpha kricketune was caught
"You really are an impressive one, aren't you? Seeing someone best an alpha like that... It truly reminds me of the legendary hero of old!" Mai said "We'd best make sure your Pokémon is taken care of after facing off against such a foe."
Mai healed amber
"thanks!" Sid said
suddenly they heard a Pokemon cry
"what in the world!?" Professor laventon asked
they looked up at the highest point of deertrack heights and saw a majestic looking pokemon at the top
"it's the great wryrdeer!" Mai exclaimed
wryrdeer jumped down and slowly approached before stopping and began to stare at Sid
""He looks upon you with kindness, Sid..." mai said
then wryrdeer walked away
"I'd say the great Wyrdeer has taken a liking to you. That is fortunate." Mai explained He is an esteemed Pokémon that can dash across the expanses of Hisui while bearing a human on his back—a human he deems worthy, at least. He is a blessing to us all."
"that's amazing!" Sid exclaimed
"Remarkable! Truly outstanding stuff! A Pokémon letting someone ride on it... Why, it's just like the Ride Pokémon of Alola!" Professor laventon said
"hey you guys!" Akari said returning after having left earlier on "captain cyllene sent me. She said after Sid finished the request we'd be able to set up a base camp here."
"Ah, about that. I know this was a joint decision by Adaman and the commander, but still—is it truly fine for us to set up more base camps like this?" Professor laventon asked
"The Hisui region is a land created by almighty Sinnoh for the sake of its Pokémon. As long as your goal is to coexist and thrive together with the Pokémon, then I imagine you should also be allowed to use this land." Mai said "The great Wyrdeer has taken a liking to Sid as well. This is a good sign."
she then turned to sid
"You have my thanks for what you did today. Our clan leader will hear of how you aided us. I'll come to show my appreciation with a proper reward as soon as I can." Mai said before leaving
"hey professor while you set up the base camp I'm gonna explore!" Sid said before leaving
meanwhile
Lincoln was dragging a massive basket of berries back to his camp when he got a call on his girandroid
"oh hey mom what's up?" Lincoln asked
"hey Lincoln just thought I'd check on you." Giratina said "how's the trip?"
"it's going fine." Lincoln said "I'm just bringing home part of my dinner back to camp."
"okay but be careful of poisons." Giratina said "see you in a few days."
"love ya mom bye!" Lincoln said before hanging up
suddenly he felt fire ball burn off his shirt
he turned and saw an alpha infernape
"oh god damn it the one time I leave my Pokémon with mom." Lincoln said "sure I can teleport them to me but that takes two minutes and it would be easier if I did it myself."
he decided to let the beast side of him handle this
he felt his body grow his skin change to scales and a few other things
his chest now had an eye and just stomach now had a mouth
he felt the tentacles emerging from his back
then everything went dark
Lincoln's body almost as if it was possessed then grabbed the infernape by the throat and began to beat it to the point of unconsciousness
and just before he could deliver a killing blow
*BONK*
something hit his head and everything went dark again
when his feral side woke up again he was almost in a library of some kind
while not understanding it the feral side liked the quietness of it
and the he heard fireworks which freaked them out
meanwhile
Sid couldn't believe she just caught the beast of a Pokémon in a Pokeball

Lincoln?????
Lincoln in his feral state is basically a wild dog being domesticated and he won't turn back to normal until Sid releases him
and they are basically two separate people so Lincoln won't remember any of this
