Chapter 11: Another War
Earth Wars Trilogy
Even though the war on Earth still raged on with the Autobots waging battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons, along with Godzilla maintaining Earth's balance against any Titan-sized threats, and the ongoing plight between Godzilla and the humans, while on a much smaller scale, the war between the Autobots and Decepticons still took place on Cybertron, the now dormant home world of the Transformers.
Leading the Decepticons on Cybertron, was one of the most feared and highest ranking Decepticons on record, Shockwave, who was Megatron's intelligent, cunning, and sometimes, sadistic scientist who very rarely showed any kind of emotion and based all his moves and motives by determining what was the most logical option. Although he was not the most powerful of Cybertronians, Shockwave's raw intelligence and skill in the field of war caused him to be on the winning end of the war on Cybertron, with him having erected an entire network of laboratories scattered across the planet. Among these laboratories was one stationed in the tarnished city of Poly Hex, which also doubled as an imprisonment for any unlucky Autobots captured by him.
Within the walls of the laboratory, two Vehicons stood next to each other, as they were guarding a closed door, which led to another room in the facility.
"That Shockwave really creeps me out…", one of the Vehicons spoke to his teammate.
"Yeah, hard to tell what he's even thinking about in that mind of his…", the other Vehicon agreed. "Guy never once shows any emotion, just goes around inflicting sadistic experiments on Autobot after Autobot. I mean, I'm all for making those Autobots suffer, but even I've got some standards…"
"Tell me about it…can't count the number of times I've heard screaming coming from the walls of this lab here", the first Vehicon said. "Oh, and don't even get me started on that ongoing project of his. What was it called again?"
"Oh, you mean that Project Biohazard he's been working on".
"You know anything about it?"
"No, but from what I have heard, whatever Shockwave's got planned, he's gearing up for something big, but knowing just how strange he is, it could be just about anything".
Before the two Vehicons could finish their conversation, however, they immediately halted their talking about Shockwave as the mad scientist himself came walking towards them, his appearance being that he only had one large, red eye that constituted as his face, along with his left arm being that of a large cannon, which was attached to his back via a cord that connected to it.
"Commander Shockwave!", the first Vehicon said as the two of them saluted him as he walked by.
In response, Shockwave did not say anything, as he continued walking towards them, where his presence caused the door to the room they were guarding to open, followed by him walking into the room and the door closing behind him. Within the room was another bot laid on his back in cuffs attached to the platform he was on, who gave an angry look at Shockwave as soon as he walked in.
"Allow me to get one thing clear, Decepticon, I don't care how you plan on getting me to inform you of what you want", the other bot said to Shockwave in his raspy voice. "I will never tell anything to your kind", he said again, referring to his disdain for the Decepticons.
"Do not worry, for your cooperation will not be necessary in this procedure", Shockwave replied in his monotone voiced as he examined his equipment laid out on the table in front of him.
The other bot continued glaring at Shockwave with anger emanating from his optics. As far as the appearance of this bot goes, along with his raspy voice, he was equipped with red optics, a sharp array of teeth, along with being very tall and bulky in stature. Most interestingly, however, evident by part of his alternate mode encompassed in his body, he seemed to be able to transform into a dinosaur of some kind, and his outer shell did not seem to be of the same metal material the Cybertronians have, instead being comprised of a mixture of that and the reptilian flesh for his dinosaur mode. Specifically, this particular bot's name was Dinobot, and he was neither Autobot nor Decepticon, nor even Cybertronian, as he was of another faction of another species known as the Maximals.
After briefly examining his lab equipment, Shockwave grabbed a device from his table and plugged the end of the cord of it into the wall behind him, where the other end of it held in his hand began emanating electricity from it. This device was none other than the cortical psychic patch, a device known for being able to have its user infiltrate another bot's mind in order to pluck out any information the user would require.
"Do your worst", Dinobot said in a nasty tone. "I can take whatever it is your throw at me…"
"Trust me, you in fact, cannot…", Shockwave differed as he neared closer to him with the cortical psychic patch in his one hand.
Before Shockwave could commence with the procedure, however, he was interrupted due to a distress call coming from one of his Vehicon soldiers just outside of the room he was in.
"Commander Shockwave, we're under attack! It's—", the Vehicon could not finish his sentence, as he was brutally killed by whoever was attacking them in that moment.
"Our procedure shall commence at a later point in time", Shockwave said before unplugging the cortical psychic patch and exiting the room to investigate the attack.
As soon as Shockwave rushed towards where the attack was coming from and peered into the room where the Vehicons were getting attacked, he saw as the attackers were brutally eviscerating any and all of the Vehicons around them, showing no mercy by using their sheer strength to destroy them. While Shockwave was never shown to feel fear in his lifetime, he felt a twinge of it course through him, as he instantly recognized the group of Autobots that were present in this facility, and given his history with them, he knew they would not hesitate to rip him apart if they got their hands on him.
"Bludgeon, I require an immediate Ground Bridge", Shockwave said into his com link, still showing no sense of emotion, despite the severity of the situation before him.
Immediately, a Ground Bridge materialized right next to Shockwave, where the Decepticon scientist ran into it before he could be seen by the Autobot attackers, leaving the rest of the Vehicon soldiers present to perish at their hands.
As soon as the Ground Bridge closed from within the hallway, one of the several Vehicons was violently tossed across the room, now missing his right arm. As the Vehicon, now on his back, looked back up, he saw as a large, hulking bot standing over him, grunting as he was ready to annihilate the defenseless Decepticon.
"No…no…NOOOOOO!", the Vehicon screamed in agony as the Autobot who attacked him tore him apart and quickly destroyed him.
With Shockwave and all his power and intelligence having taken over the dormant Cybertron, having captured a Maximal, and causing the aforementioned group of Autobots to wage gruella warfare against him, along with the mysterious Project Biohazard he was working on, it was clear that, even with Megatron out of the picture with the war on Earth, that things were only just beginning, and that the fates of Cybertron and Earth would not be determined until one side would reign victorious…
