Encanto II

It's been a few weeks since Casita was rebuilt, and the magic returned to the Encanto, thanks to Mirabel Madrigal. She now feels like she belongs in her magical, loving, imperfect family, the Madrigals. But soon, she and her family just might have met their match when an sorcerer named Alzatico and his family comes to the Encanto, for the official Encanto-versary, the anniversary of when the Encanto was first made. But little do the Madrigals and the villagers know is that Alzatico has a plot to steal the Magic of Casita for his own selfish needs. Even more so, his plot is much bigger than the Encanto itself, especially cause it links to Abuela Alma's past.

Will the Miracle be saved once again?

What evil plan does Alzatico have in store for the Madrigals and the whole of the Encanto?

Did the toucan come before the egg?

[I DO NOT & NEVER WILL OWN ENCANTO]

Chapter 1: The Story So Far...

A long time ago, deep in the mountains of Colombia, was a village, known as the Encanto, home to many people, especially, a family called The Madrigals.

The Madrigals were no ordinary family; for most of them had magical gifts that helped their village and everyone in it; people and animals.

The Madrigals lived in a wonderful magical house, Casita, which could move and do anything no other house in the Encanto could.

But only a few weeks ago, the Encanto had very nearly lost it's magic, until one girl saved it, and restored it.

The story of how it all happened started many, many years ago...

Many years ago, A couple named Alma & Pedro Madrigal and their 3 children, Julieta, Pepa, and Bruno, were forced to flee from their village, during an armed conflict, alongside many other villagers. But during the escape, Alma's husband Pedro was killed by an army of soldiers, leaving Alma alone, with only her babies.

Her wedding candle suddenly provided her a miracle, and protected her and the rest of the villagers from the soldiers, and created not just a village, but a magical new home for her.

As the years passed, Alma's kids grew up, and when they became older, the magic of the Encanto gave them magical gifts - Julieta got the gift of healing people with cooking, Pepa could control the weather based on her emotions, and Bruno, Alma's only son, had the ability to predict the future.

As the kids grew, so did the family; Julieta married a man called Agustin, and they had 3 daughters, Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel. Pepa married Felix, and they had 3 kids too - Dolores, Camilo, and Antonio.

And the new Madrigal kids gained gifts too - Dolores had the gift of super hearing, Camilo had the ability to shapeshift into other people, Antonio had the gift of talking to animals, Luisa had the gift of superhuman strength, and Isabela could make flowers grow.

But Mirabel, Julieta & Agustin's youngest daughter, didn't have her gift, unlike her family.

Why?

Because, on her gift ceremony, her door magically vanished, for no reason whatsoever.

Everyone, Alma included, was bewildered at what had happened.

Still, despite not having a gift, Mirabel grew up to be a kind, helpful and independent young woman. All the same, she felt like she was the odd one out in her family. On the evening of her youngest cousin Antonio's gift ceremony, she noticed the cracks in Casita, and rushed to tell everyone, but nobody believed her.

Mirabel knew something was wrong, so she made it her mission to find out the cause of the cracks. Her sister Luisa suggested she should investigate Bruno's tower, and when she did, she found a shattered vision of cracks appearing all over the house, and Mirabel was at the centre of it. Also, she learnt from Pepa and the townsfolk that Bruno's visions meant disaster for them all, but she wasn't sure if she should believe that.

After a disastrous proposal dinner where Isabela was meant to propose to Mariano Guzman, a handsome man in the town, Mirabel found out that her uncle Bruno had been living in the walls behind Casita, ever since Mirabel's failed gift ceremony. She asked Bruno about his vision, and he realized that The magic was in danger.

With help from Antonio, Bruno prepared a vision ritual, and it showed a picture of Mirabel hugging Isabela. Mirabel wasn't so keen about it, but when she knew it was the only way to save the magic, she reluctantly did so.

She tried to apologize to Isa, but Isa was still upset about Mirabel ruining her proposal. In the process of the argument, Isa revealed she never wanted to marry Mariano, and that she was fed up of being perfect all the time. When she found she'd created a cactus with her gift, Mirabel helped her to embrace her gift's potential, and soon she let herself be who she wanted to be - herself.

But when Alma saw all of this, she started blaming Mirabel for all the problems, stating the cracks started because of her. Mirabel stood up to her abuela, upon realization that neither she nor anyone in her family would be good enough for her, and stated the miracle was dying because of her.

Suddenly, without warning, the whole of Casita collapsed and crumbled, and the magic was gone, and with it, the Madrigals' gifts. Mirabel blamed herself for this, and ran away.

Whilst the Madrigals searched all over the village for her, Alma found Mirabel alone by a river, which immediately made her remember - the river she had found Mirabel at was the very same river where her husband died in the escape those years ago; the day that Alma received her miracle. Of course, in the years since her loss, Alma was so traumatized by her past, her broken heart was too deep to fill, and she ended up taking her miracle for granted, which led to her family becoming broken.

Mirabel understood, and explained to her abuela that they were given a miracle and a home because of her. And then, both Alma & Mirabel hugged, finally fixing the broken bond since the gift ceremony.

When Bruno found them, Alma & Mirabel returned back to the village, and back to the family; and they were very relieved to see them back in one piece. Then, the villagers of the Encanto got together with building supplies, to help the Madrigals rebuild their home.

After a while, the Madrigals' new house was made, and Mirabel placed a new doorknob, which restored the magic to Casita, and the gifts back to the Madrigals. Best of all, the Madrigals could now use their gifts they way they wanted, and be themselves, and Mirabel now felt like she truly belonged.

Now, things almost seemed to be better than ever in the Encanto, with the Madrigals being a better, yet imperfect family, the magic was back, Bruno had returned, and everything seemed to be better.

But it wouldn't be long till the Miracle would soon end up in danger yet again...

Author's note:

That's the story of the Encanto. [well, the main movie.]

I hope Encanto actually DOES get a sequel one day.

Next chapter will involve the wedding of Mariano & Dolores.
