"Val?" said Haley opening the door to their dorm. She looked at Valerie's bed seeing her still asleep from comin back late placing her coffee down on her desk. Valerie turned to her back not seeing Haley climb on the frame on the end of her bed as Mike and Sully walk into the frame. Haley screamed jumping on Valerie making her scream to then wrestled her to the ground pinning her down. "Did we come in a bad time?" said Mike. "You're alright Valerie?" said Sully."You look like pretty worn out." he says. "No. My sister wouldn't stop wailing but mom did her part to get her to sleep. Heard about what happened last night?" said Valerie looking at them. "Don't worry about because we're gonna train like one has ever seen. So who's the lucky monster?" said Mike smiling. "You're ex roommate." said Haley in a singing tune before drinking her coffee. "Randall?! He really asked you out?" said Mike surprised. "Hey. Cant blame him." said Sully earning a pillow thrown at him. "Im just saying as a friend plus I don't think you should go out with him. He was involved in the prank." said Sully once Valerie got up. "Yeah. Since he's with ROR. He changed." said Mike watching her grab her bag. "Appreciate you boys acting like my brothers who remember I got claws and canines." said Valerie snapping her wolf teeth at them on her way out to class. She walked out to dorms going across campus to get to her class and felt a finger drag up her spine making her yell in shock turning around to see nothing. "Randy?" said Valerie looking around before turning see him appear in front of her. "Couldn't help myself. Anyways hows your family doing with your sister?" said Randy walking with her. "Happy and tired. She was wailing nonstop but im sure that's normal for newborns. Hope youre not mad that we couldn't go on that date." said Valerie. "Who said I was mad. It was an emergency. Besides we still got plenty of time to go out. Like how about after the games or are you busy?" said Randall. "How about at six. I can visit my dad at the factory later since he'll be working late." said Valerie. "How about I join you? If that's fine." said Randall. "Its no problem besides my dad will find out about you soon enough." said Valerie. "Awesome. Looking forward to it." said Randall before going to his friends. He looked at Valerie going to her seat puling her book feeling hand pat his shoulder. "Already have eyes on Thompson too huh?" said Johnny looking at her. "Yeah. She's something. Gonna be seeing her tonight so you boys don't wait up." said Randall smiling. "Careful with this one. She barks and bites which I find very attractive." said Johnny. He went back to his seat once class started taking glance at Valerie from time to time with Randall.
By the time classes were over Valerie joined the students to watch the games of where they have to scare the kids but not the teenagers. She watch the HISS girls fail then it was now OK and ROR as the final two making Valerie cheer. "Let's go Boys." said Valerie clapping. She saw everybody cheer for Johnny and his team after they own first place as always but the crowd went louder for Mike and the others on second place. That's it for the Scar Games and next is big Finale to see who the best Scarers on Campus." said the Greek Council. Everyone departs after the announcement with Valerie walking holding her bag heading to her dorm until Randall slithered over to snatched her bag from her shoulder. "Cant have my date felling from carrying this. Still up for that sushi joint?" said Randall holding her bag. "Yeah but let me just drop off my stuff in my dorm." said Valerie reaching or her bag but Randall slithered passed her out her reach. "God what happened to that cute nerd I liked?" said Valerie. "He's still in there baby." said Randall walking with her the dorm. He followed her to the room opening the door seeing Haley pulling away from kissing monter who loked close to Professor Knight but had redish black ombre fur with horns with black eyes with white pupils. "Nice to officially meet my girlfriends roomie. I'm Nathan Knight." the monster introduced shaking her hand. "Valerie and you already know Randall." said Valerie. "Yeah and your family. Congrats on being a big sister." Said Nathan. "Thanks. We wont be here long. Im just dropping off my stuff before we leave for a date." Said Valerie. "Oh okay. Boggs if you hurt her. I swear I'll stink you so bad th-" "Haley!" Valerie and Nathan shouted together. "He dropped the stuff animals on OK after the paint and glitter bomb. We spent hours getting the stuff." Said Haley pointing to Randall. "Babe seriously." Said Nathan glancing at her. "Lets go Randy." Said Valerie taking one of his hands letting them out of the dorm. "Look just to be fair. It was a harmless prank and no one gotten hurt." Said Randall. "But doenst need this. He really taking the scaring thing too seriously." Said Valerie. "I thought being a scarer was your thing. Having second thoughts?" Said Randall looking at her. "Maybe. Sure the screams are our main power. I'm just saying there could be other ways that havent been discovered yet." Said Valerie. "If you say so." Said Randall.
They got in the bus making like two stops and walked the just of the way talking until they got in front the locked gates. "Sorry kids. Off limits at these hours. " said the security guy. "My dad works here. Hey Uncle Frank!" said Valerie seeing Frank getting out of his car not far behind the security guard. "Valerie? Look at you. Carter. Let them in. That's Earls kid and her friend." said Frank smiling to see her. The security unlocked the gate letting them in for Frank to pull Valerie into a hug ruffling her hair a little. "Who's your friend?" said Frank looking at Randall. "Randall Boggs. Her . . . boyfriend." said Randall blushing a little. "Boyfriend?" sad Frank once they were inside. "We got came from a date. We would've gone the other day but Krissy had other plans." said Valerie. "Well nice to meet you. Im guessing your here to your Dad." said Frank. "Yeah. Its been sometime from the last time was here." said Valerie. "That's fine as long you know the rules." said Frank. "Stay clear and by the desk." said Valerie. They got to the main part of the factory for the screams to be collected by the scarers. "Wow." said Randall seeing the Scare Floor. Valerie grabbed his top right hand leading him to Earl getting prepared for the child e's going to scare. "Hey dad." said Valerie making him urn around. "Valerie. What brings you and your friend here?" said Earl. "Just visiting plus he's my boyfriend." said Valerie. "Randall Boggs. Nice to meet you sir. Im a fan of your work." said Randall shaking his hand. "Earl. Ready for your door?" said the monster wearing a blue hard hat and holding a clipboard. "Yeah. im coming. We'll talk after this." said Earl as the door came down. Valerie sat on the chair with Randall standing next to her seeing the light turn red for Earl to go in. "How it feel meeting my dad and coming here?" said Valerie seeing Randall looking at the other scarers. "This the best night of my life. I cant believe we came in like that." said Randall. "Ive been here plenty of times since I pretty much know everyone here." said Valerie hearing the canister get full and earl stepped out. "So you treating my daughter alright?" said Earl walking over to Randall. "Dad." said Valerie looking at him. She suddenly yelp in pain once the alarms went off covering her ears and looked around seeing Oozma Kappa running away from the skylight. "Randall. Mind getting Valerie out of here. Her hearing is very sensitive when these kinds of alarms go off." said Earl while getting Valerie from curling up on the floor. "Got it. I think we should go. Nice meeting you. Come on Val." said Randall placing his hand on her back since shes still covering ears from the alarms still going off. They got outside was the alarms stopped and walked back to campus heading to Valerie's dorm. "Tonight was interesting." said Valerie. "Yeah it was. Same time once the whole games are over." said Randall."Love that. Night Randy." said Valerie kissing his cheek before Haley opened the door pulling her in and shammed the door in Randall's face. "Not so loud babe." said Nathan from Haley's bed. "Be lucky that Valerie's home from her long date. Now tell me everything and don't leave anything out." said Haley placing her hands on her shoulders.
