Valerie followed after Mike sneaking into the lab snatching the key card from a student passing by using it to unlock the door and was about to close it if she didn't have her foot in the way barging in. She then dived out of the way for Mike to block the door using the desk and chairs keeping anyone from going in. "What do you think your doing Mike?" said Valerie facing him. "There's nothing that you say to change my mind. I'm going to prove to everyone that I can scare a kid." said Mike walking towards the door. "Turn back right now or else." said Valerie before he reach his hand to the keypad. "Or else what?" said Mike looking at her. "Michael I'm serious. This is suicide." said Valerie. "Speak for yourself. You're a walking poison for a human experiment." said Mike. Valerie didn't say anything but shake her head slammed her fist against the alarm system making sirens go off through the building then looked to see Mike activate the door seeing the glowing red light. "Hey! What are you two doing open this door?" said the student trying open it but "Mike!" said Valerie running after him. She went through the door to a cabin filled with children sleeping in their bunk beds in the dark and quiet night. with quick thinking she went under the bed being very careful not wake up the kid sleeping looking around until she found Mike lean against he bed frame using his claws to make a scratch sound waking up the little girl. The girl sat up and was started when Mike jumped up roaring at her trying again but she mimicked him and another kid who was close to Valerie came out of the bathroom looking at him. Soon enough all the kids woke up turning on their flashlights walking to Mike curiously not looking scared at all. "Hello." said a voice making Valerie freeze seeing a light shining on her. She turned her head seeing a little boy looking at her as another boy did too going back to Mike who escaped through the window. Valerie rolled out standing up making the kids turn their attention on her looking amazed at her appearance. "What are you doing under the bed?" said the boy looking at her. "Why are you talking to a monster?" said Valerie. "Kids?" said a womans voice. the door to the cabin opened a tall slim woman came in wearing a ranger uniform seeing the kids out of bed walking to them. "What are you all doing out of bed?" said the woman. "We were woken by the monsters." said he girl that Mike tried to scare. Valerie who was now hiding above them on the beams let out a loud clear growl and barked. "Everyone out now!" said the woman as Valerie barked viciously making the kids and the woman get out fast.
Once they were gone Valerie jumped down landing on all fours like a cat then turned tot he door where they came through seeing it light up and out came Sully. "Val?" said Sully surprised to see her. "Yeah. Now let just focus on getting Mike back getting home before more people come. He went out through the window." said Valerie pointing to the open window. Sully was the first climb out falling down before Valerie could get out getting the rangers to shine their light on him. "Bear!" said the police man. Valerie and jumped out too running down the path after Sully until they to the lake hiding between the rows of canoes. They both watched the police pass by until a small splash made them turn to see Mike sitting by the water looking sorry for himself not fazed by Valerie sit with him and Sully on the other side of him. "Mike. Lets go." said Valerie in a low voice. "Come on Buddy. Lets get you outta here." said Sully walking closer to him. "This is all my fault." he says. Mike didn't say anything but sit still in his place having them go to him. "You were right. They weren't afraid of me. I did everything right I thought push myself hard enough and show everyone that Mike Wazoski was something special." said Mike looking at his reflection as Valerie sat next to him. "You are to me. Youre the first monster that ever been my friend befor ei told you my big secret." said Valerie. "Look MIke I nko ho wyou feel . . ." "Don't do that! You of all monsters have it made! You can mess up over and over yet everyone still loves you!" said Mike out anger. "Because you are a Sullivan!" he says as Valerie stood up. "Mike that's enough." said Valerie. "Yeah im a Sullivan. The Sullivan who flunked at every test and getting kicked out of the program. Feeling scared to let everyone down." said Sully then looked out at the lake sitting down. "Yeah I don't know how you feel. Youre not only failure here. Sometimes I act scary because im terrified." he confessed. "There are a lo of things to be scared of but that's life. You just have to accept it or don't and just hide." said Valerie walking t him rubbing his shoulder on comfort. "Why didn't you tell us before?" said Mike after sitting next to him. "We werent friends before." said Sully as Valerie ears perked up. They heard rustling and the flashlights shining at their direction making them split up as the police were coming. Valerie and Mike hid by the canoes while Sully was in the woods looking at them before they gestured him to run. Once the police were out of sight Valerie ad Mike ran up the hill to catch up to Sully finding him struggling to climb up Mike grabbed the root of the tree lowering it down with Valerie's help and headed back to the cabin. they all climbed back through the window gong tot he closet door where they came in from to find it to be normal meaning that the power to the monster world and the human world is shut off. "No." said Valerie then saw the police were back. The boys saw them coming slowly through the window as Sully went find a way out but Mike then had an idea. "Let them come." said Mike stopping Sully from going anywhere. "What?" said Sully. "if we scare them like really scare them. We can create enough power to open the door from here." said Mike. "Worth a shot." said Valerie. "Are you two insane?" said Sully looking at them. "Trust him. He read every book. This is the only chance we got." said Valerie. "But they're adults. I cant." said Sully. "Yes you can. We're monsters remember." said Valerie.
Soon enough the police came in holding their flashlights looking the cabin seeing it looked to be empty as Valerie, Mike, and Sully were on the wooden beams. Valerie got first diving into the shadows making one of the officers shine a light catching tail for a second near the bed but didn't see her due to the blanket draped tot he floor. She grabbed a doll winding up while the record player was turned on by Mike and let go of the doll letting walking in the policemen's view making focus on the doll walking for a moment and fell. Valerie growled loud enough for the police to gather together taking some fishing line crawling fast back and forth creating deep claw marks into the floorboards with Sully doing the same on the walls. She then hid under the desk closet to the police on the other side where mike is and pulled the string making all of the bunk bed shake violently before crashing towards them making them scream a little. The light from the closet shined a little making Valerie and Mike smile before Sully pulled him up and having Valerie growl and bark at the officers to distract them for the next phase of their plan. Mike came back down getting more fishing line with Valerie tug or attempt to grab the police by their leg or foot from under the bed making her scale hand exposed. "AH! Something with grabbed by foot!" said the police woman jumping back to see Valerie slowly reveal herself by exposing her hand first snarling and stand up making them back away to hear Sully jump down shining their lights on him too and roared. The police screamed after they fell from Mike's trap and Valerie joined in roaring and growling at the terrified people making the door to their home light up brightly after everyone escaped through the window. "Come on." said Mike running with them to the door. They jumped in landing in the lab just before the door exploded causing a few light burns here and there on them but nothing serious. Valerie, Mike, and Sully looked at the scared Dean to the destroyed door glowing red from the explosion in shock. "How did you do it?" said the Dean. "Don't look at us." said Sully looking at Mike. Boom! The guarded gate was cut open by a saw letting the monsters in yell jumpsuits and a masks barge in with Valerie know who they were seeing Roz coming scanning the area. "Are Secured Come with us." said the second in command getting Valerie up. they all walked out ignoring the students complaining about their door and saw Oozma Kappa looking happy to see them on their way to the had office. "Just so you know t-" "Now isn't the time or place young lady." said Roz looking at Valerie who lowered her ears.
