"Is the last of your stuff?" Said Earl grabbing Valerie's bag. "Yeah Dad." Said Valerie. She walked over to Mike and Sully who were ready to leave the campus just like her after a long talk with their parents, CPA, and the director of the University. "This is it huh?" Said Valerie looking at the boys. "Seems like it." Said Sully. "Thanks for putting up with me. Even if i was a jerk before." He says. "The only jerks ive met here were Johnny and his crew." Said Valerie. "What about you and Randall?" Said Mike. "Dont know. Havent had the chance to talk to him over our 'break up'?" Said Valerie then heard a tiny scream. "Krissy! Im coming. See you boys around." Said Valerie. She hugged Sully and Mike heading to the van where Earl was waiting getting in. Earl drove away from the bus lane to the road looking at Valerie then back on the road. He glanced at his rearview mirror seeing Krissy playing with her rattle cooing. Valerie looked at the campus passing by seeing Haley and Nathan wave at her and waved back. She looked at her small bag hearing her phone going off taking it out seeing an unknown number answering it. "Hello?" Said Valerie. "Hello Ms. Thompson. Its Mr. Waternoose from Monsters Incorporated. Your father handed me your resume and i believe i found a good job for you if your interested." Sais Waternoose. "Hold that thought. Dad. Did you make that call aftet i was expelled?" Saod Valerie. "Yes. Its a little something after you helped your friends in the human world." Said Earl. "They were gonna die or end up what happened to me." Said Valerie then went back to her phone call. "Yes. Im interested. Thank you sir." Said Valerie. "When can you be available for your interview." Said Waternoose. "How about three o clock?" Said Valerie. "See you soon." Said Waternoose ending the call. "Thanks Dad. But you didnt have to." Said Valerie.
"Im your father and i look out for my daughters." Said Earl. Its been drive taking them about two hours due to until they got their destination. "You got me a place?" Said Valerie looking the apartment complex to Earl who showed her the keys. "Roz' gift. Its just three blocks close to work and affordable in your range. Roz has informed us that she keeping eye out on you and your on your moms waiting." Said Earl getting out. He walked to the back of the van grabbing Valerie's things while Krissy threw her toy at Valerie's head when the door was opened. "Ow!" Said Valerie rubbing the side of her side. She shook off the pain seeing Krissy laughing before getting the carrier out. "Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny." She said sarcastically holding her in hand while taking her suitcase from Earl after locking the van up. They got into the elevator to the fourth floor walking down the hall with Earl leading the way knocking on the door. Amy opened the door right away letting them in taking Krissy from Valerie giving her hug. "How are you honey? Are you hungry? I made some extra sandwiches from work." Said Amy. "Im fine mom. I just need to get ready for my job interview with Mr Waternoose." Said Valerie. "You better get a move on. Your room is on the right next to the bathroom." Said Amy taking Krissy out of the carrier. Valerie took her clothes with to put on a nice outfit while hearing her parents talking. She was too focused on getting ready and walked out wearing a white button top with a black spaghetti tank top underneath with dark blue fitted khakis. "You look great. Take the van." Said Earl tossing the keys to her. Valerie grabbed her bag with only her phone and wallet on her way out smiling at her family. She took the elevator with another monster wearing shirt under a grey and white bomber jacket with dark shorts. He looked almost human from his head down to his waist and had cat legs while having a rough white skin with pink flecks. "Hi. Are you the new girl?" Said the monster looking down at her. "Yeah. Im Valerie Thompson." Said Valerie shaking his hand. "Xavier Bolton. I live above you. Where you headed?" Said Xavier flipping his long fluffed hair back from his eyes. "Interview at Monsters Incorporated." Said Valerie. "Cool. Well i better get going to see some friends of mine. See ya neighbor." Said Xavier getting off the first floor. "Nice seeing ya." Said Valerie getting off too heading to the parking lot. She got in the van driving to the factory pulling into a spot that was close tot he front and went inside.
After about an hour of talking over the position that Mr. Waternoose needed and the training that she was required to do. Valerie was at home alone once her parents left to take Krissy for a check up. She unpacked all off her stuff when they left and was sitting on the couch with her laptop on the coffee table. Knock. Knock. Knock. Valerie answering the door seeing Haley who didnt look happy walking in and smelled tomato. "Did you eat Italian?" Said Valerie. "Thats Randall. I had blew up at him and the Roar Omega Roar until it happened." Said Haley. "You skunked them." Said Valerie raising a brow. She then saw Randall appear next to her looking guilty and took a step back. "She more stunk the whole house. We all bathed in tomato juice for hours." Said Randall. "It wasnt my intention but you can thank my great grandfather. You jackass." Said Haley. "I deserve that after saying what I said at the game." Said Randall. "Im gonna snoop around." Said Haley leaving them alone. "So was the break up real? Because that was really shitty to do that instead of saying to my face." Said Valerie. "Im sorry. I was humiliated by a Sullivan and you defending me was kinda " "Kinda what? There wasnt any issue going on between us besides you being a jerk like Johnny." Said Valerie. "Do want us to break up? Just for me being popular. I wanted to be the top scarer in Monstrosity and everything was going great until Mike and Sullivan joined the Scare Games." Said Randall. "But i wasnt in the Scare Games and you were the one who asked me out." Said Valerie. "I know. I still do want to date you but . . ." "Your embarrassed to be seen with me." Said Valerie. "No. No. No. I was talking about how thia going to work out." Said Randall. "I just got a job at Monsters Incorporated as a Files Clerk." Said Valerie. "Really? Thats fast." Said Randall. "My dad gave my resume to Waternoose and the apartment is a gift from my godmother." Said Valerie. "You can come over here for our dates when your free from classes and the boys if you want." Said Valerie. "If you break her and ill break you." Said Haley going tot he other room. "How about tonight? I'll make an excuse to see you." Said Randall. "Okay." Said Valerie. "Then I'll see you tonight babe." Said Randall kissing her cheek. "Haley." Said Randall. "Im coming and make that a double date." Said Haley pushing him out of the apartment. "You better bring back what you stole from me." Said Valerie before closing the door.
