A Double Twisted Nightmare Chapter 14
November 1st 1998, Vienna, Austria St. Stephen's Cathedral 3:35pm
Claire was in the women's changing room with Alex, she is wearing an off the shoulder white dress, with high heels and a finger tip veil.
She sighed as she looks herself over in the mirror, she never thought that she would be marrying this young.
"Everything all right Little Dove?" Alex asks her as she comes over to check herself out.
Alex is wearing a mermaid white dress, high heels and elbow veil.
"I'm fine, it's... it's just surreal that this is happening to me." Claire tells her.
"It will be fine, while this is mundane, it will make things official. No one will take either of you away." Alex said fixing her veil.
Claire knew that this meant she and Chris will be tied to the Wesker siblings until they die.
"The time for the ceremony for us is 3:45 right?" Alex asks her.
"Yeah, then it should be wrapped up at 4:10 and back to the hotel." Claire said.
She and Chris arranged for a smaller chapel for them to marry, obviously because it was only them going to be present and it was private.
'I bet Chris is feeling the same way I am.' Claire thinks as she waits.
In the men's changing room, Chris is in deep thought, 'Claire is probably feeling the same.'
"Christopher, why such a face?" Albert asks him.
He is wearing the classic tuxedo, black expect the shirt, which is white and he actually decided not to wear his sunglasses.
".. I am just nervous. I was never really sure that I would marry." Chris said. That part was true, he had dated quite a few women and had heavily considered Jill, but in terms of a lifetime, it never worked out or he never got the chance.
Chris is wearing a white jacket tuxedo, black pants, and black shoes.
"To be honest I find this part of the affair annoying, but things will be official. Just remember to keep distance from those who have no business with you." Albert said, looking into the mirrors to make sure he looked perfect.
Chris knew he was talking about an incident that happened on the island before they left. A young woman who recently arrived at the island for security, took an interest in him. Knowing what happened to the researcher who flirted with Claire, he kept her at arms length.
Unfortunately, despite being told what happened to the researcher, the woman tried pursuing him. He avoided her when he wasn't in the training aera, but she began to deliberately seek him out in other places.
When she found him alone one day, and tried to persuade him to leave Alex. He refused, but she didn't give up and taking him off guard, kissed him. No sooner than she did that Alex walked in. She was furious, she broke the woman's leg and dragged her away to be an experiment.
".. That wasn't my fault, I didn't want that woman. She was the one who was persistent." Chris said.
"I know but she should've know better. You and Dearheart need to be more firm with rejection, towards those that seek to take you away." Albert said.
A knock on the door is heard, "Excuse me, but the ceremony for the Wesker-Redfield's is ready."
"Darn it." Chris said trying to do his bow tie, he left that for last.
"Honestly Christopher." Albert said, pushing Chris's hands away and does the bowtie himself.
Once it was tied they head to the chapel, where the priest was waiting. "Are you sure no one else will come?" the priest asks, even for small wedding there had been a handful of people.
"Yes, just as we wanted it to be. Please begin the ceremony." Albert said.
The priest gestures to the organ player, the music plays, and the only other person that had been allowed was a photographer.
The doors open to reveal Claire and Alex walking towards them at the altar. They get beside the ones that they're marrying and the priest begin to talk about marriage and it's significance.
Eventually, ".. Do you Albert Wesker take Claire Redfield as your wife?" he asks.
"I do." Wesker said.
"Do you Claire Redfield take Albert Wesker as your husband?" he asks.
Claire briefly hesitates, ".. I do." she said.
"Do you Christopher Redfield take Alex Wesker as your wife?" he asks.
".. I do." Chris said after a pause.
"Do you Alex Wesker, take Christopher Redfield as your husband." he asks.
"I do." Alex said.
"Exchange the rings." the priest said.
Albert puts a ring on Claire's finger and she for him.
Chris puts a ring on Alex's finger and Alex does the same for him.
"You may now kiss the brides." the priest blesses them.
Albert lifts Claire's veil and kisses her, as Chris lifts Alex's veil and kisses her.
"The table over there has the marriage certificates, please sign them as proof that these marriages have taken place." the priest said.
"We'll expect copies." Albert said, signing his name on one of them.
"But, of course." the priest said.
Claire pauses before signing her name, on the same paper as Albert as: Claire Wesker.
Alex signs her name, Alex Wesker, on the other one before handing the pen to Chris.
Chris hesitates a moment before he finally signs his name as: Christopher Wesker.
When the priest signs the certificates, it was done.
