He was currently 2000 years of age, so rather young for an elf and 20 years old in terms of a human lifespan./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif, 'GNU Unifont'; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"br /Up until recently, Drannor had been living with his parents in a small Elven town, that was until they had been displaced by war and forced to take refuge in the nearby city. He had hated it at first the smell was awful, so many people living packed together wasn't natural his parents would say, that's why it stinks and why disease spreads so quickly. But even with all the smells and sickness in the air Drannor had begun to call it his home, it was so full of life and so many different types of people of all races and religions./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif, 'GNU Unifont'; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"br /Drannor found the city fascinating and new, that's why when war was threatening to break out again he decided that he should join the army. To say his parents disapproved was an understatement, but Drannor's views would not be changed, he thought he could have a real chance of helping people so he signed up as soon as he could...br /This leads him to his current predicament of being sandwiched between other recruits on an old creaky cart heading out of the city. He watched as the city grew smaller in the distance as they entered more of the countryside, he had forgotten how fresh the air smelt outside of the city walls./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif, 'GNU Unifont'; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"br /The reason for finally heading out of the city was for the final training test every man and woman considered to be ready would take this test before officially joining the city's military. This test was known to be brutal and not everyone made it out alive. It was a true test of courage and skill./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif, 'GNU Unifont'; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"br /As the journey out of the city continued Drannor began to bounce his leg a nervous habit of his that often came about when he was thinking too much, and boy was he overthinking of all the what-ifs and what could happen to him./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif, 'GNU Unifont'; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"br /His thinking was soon disturbed by a shrill voice. "Would you stop shaking your leg?! you're gonna make a hole in the bench." The shrill voice belonged to a short young woman who was sitting next to Drannor, Her name was Thalia./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif, 'GNU Unifont'; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"br /Thalia was a rather spunky fairy and healer, compared to Drannor she was a polar opposite. Loud and brightly dressed in shades of orange and green, her hair was a deep chestnut and her eyes were like small fires. Her wings were always folded behind her neatly unless she got angry (which was often as Drannon would point out to her and she would deny.) Thalia and Drannor had become close friends whilst training./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif, 'GNU Unifont'; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"br /Drannor looked down at Thalia as she continued to complain even though he'd already stopped his leg from moving. "I hate it when you get all jittery on me Dran, makes me nervous and you're making the whole cart shake!" She crossed her arms huffing as her wings twitched behind her./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif, 'GNU Unifont'; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"br /He merely chuckled softly "Sorry Thalia, I can't help it. You've heard the rumors about the final test, you can hardly blame me for being nervous...If I even finish the test I'll probably be injured and then gods forbid you'll have to heal me, no doubt that will finish me off or land me with a second head." Drannor teased Thalia and she suddenly grabbed his long pointed ear. br /"What do you mean by that? big ears!" Drannor winced as she pulled on his ear like a parent scolding a child. "Nothing! Nothing I was only joking! I surrender!" Drannor spoke quickly holding his hands up in surrender./p
p style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 15.12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Lucida Sans Unicode', Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif, 'GNU Unifont'; vertical-align: baseline; list-style: none; margin: 1.286em auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.5; color: #2a2a2a;"br /"Good that will teach you. Don't mess with fairies" Thalia let go of his ear and sniffed as she looked up at him /He merely smiled fondly at her, she was a handful but she was sweet and sensitive at heart, he was just glad that Thalia wouldn't have to fight since she was a healer. She was no fighter and Drannor didn't think he'd be able to focus on the task at hand if he was worrying about her./p
