Aim of the Last Angry Quincy
Karin brought her dad to the park to look over Chad and bring him over to their place for some medical help, but by the time they got there, Chad was already gone, and the goofy dad just assumes she wanted his attention only for her to punch him right in the face.
Unknown to them, Kon in Ichigo's body is watching them from a higher point.
"Looks like another happy ending. Good." Koh nodded and jumps away.
(Urahara Shop)
Orihime and Tatsuki have been taken to the small candy store much to their confusion, but the store owner said that all of their questions will be answered soon, they waited in a room where Chad has been placed as well until he finally woke up.
"Oh Chad, I'm glad you're up. Good morning!" Orihime smiled.
"Orihime, it's the afternoon." Tatsuki corrected her on the actual time.
"Orihime, and Tatsuki, good to see you two. So, where are we?" Chad asked, noticing that he is not at the park where he fought that monster.
"We're in a candy shop, and apparently the owner seems to know what's going on around here." Tatsuki answered.
"I see your big friend has finally awaken." Kisuke walked up to them.
"So, this is the man who brought us here." Chad looked at the stranger and he can already tell this guy has a big mysterious aura around him.
"That's me. Now then, where should I begin?" Kisuke tried to think of a good starting point to explain to them.
"How about you start telling us about the monsters we fought and are Yoh and Ichigo involve in this somehow." Tatsuki suggested.
(With Yoh and Ichigo)
Yoh and Ichigo just killed another pair of Hollows though they know more are still coming.
"Damn it, damn that Uryu. He's going to pay for this." Ichigo was angered.
"Easy there, Ichigo. I may not look like it, but I'm mad about this too. We'll find him and set him straight." Yoh said.
But Yoh can tell that something isn't right with this so-called "contest" that Uryu set up, it was just supposed to be between him and Ichigo to see which of them can kill the most Hollows and it's also a personal grudge because of what the Soul Reapers did to the Qunicys years ago, but something is wrong here.
Yoh doesn't know what that is yet, but something big is coming and they all might need to work together.
(With Uryu)
Uryu just took down one big Hollow with two of his spirit arrows though his fingers are now bleeding from how many arrows he had to fire including just now.
"I can't kill them with just one shot anymore." Uyru noticed that this Hollow was a little stronger than the previous ones he killed.
"(Something's wrong. I'm losing my strength and there are far too many Hollows coming for that small amount of bait. It's as if they were lured here by an even greater force yet to reveal itself or its purpose.)" Uyru thought feared something bad is going to happen.
"(But none of that matters.)" Uryu thought didn't care for what is going on because he still has to prove himself to Ichigo.
"Sensei, I swear to you I will avenge your death." Uryu promised before drawing another spirit arrow.
But he will soon see it for himself that is Quincy pride will be his downfall.
(With Rukia)
"Hakuro #4: Yakura." Rukia fired a spiritual blast at one Hollow that destroyed one of its arms.
The Hollow roars in anger and tries to attack her only to dodge it and fired another blast to make it stumble back.
"(These Hollows are small fry, practically harmless, yet I'm having a hard time beating even one. After two months in this Gigai, I still don't have all of my strength back.)" Rukia thought angered that she can't deal with one weak Hollow.
"(Although, I guess I am grateful that Yoh was able to help make my Spiritual Energy stronger otherwise I wouldn't be able to harm the damn thing.)" Rukia thought remembered the help she got from Yoh, how kind he was and seeing him as handsome.
"Wait a minute! Handsome, where did that come from? He's just a kid, it's not like I'm into him or anything!" Rukia gasped with her face blushing a little.
This left her distracted for the Hollow to come attack her again only for someone to jump in a threw a strong kick that knocks it back.
"Is that Ichgio?" Rukia was surprised to see Ichigo here and hasn't turned into a Soul Reaper yet.
However, that is not Ichigo for it's Kon in Ichigo's body and he turns around jumping onto Rukia's body for a hug with his face on her chest.
"I've wanted to do this for so long." Kon smiled pervertedly.
"You're Kon, right?" Rukia gritted her teeth, now realizing this isn't Ichigo as she kicked him in the chin while pulling on his arms.
"It even feels good to get kicked like this!" Kon smiled, finding pain from pretty girls like Rukia to be pleasurable.
"Kon, this is no time to be acting like an idiot." Rukia scolded, but then realize something.
"Wait, if you're back in Ichigo's body again, then Ichigo must've gotten transformed into a Soul Reaper." Rukia said.
"Check it out, sis. Look behind you." Kon was shocked to see someone behind them.
"What?" Rukia was confused as she turns her head around to see Uryu is there.
"That's a good sign. Apparently, this area's safe." Uryu said, glad to see that he doesn't have to waste any more of his energy here.
"Rukia Kuchiki. So, this is actually the first time I've spoken to you face to face." Uryu admitted, having known that Rukia might be related to the Soul Reapers, but never took the time to talk to her in person.
"(Is he ignoring me?)" Kon thought felt hurt that Uryu is not acknowledging his presence here.
But Kon got kicked in the chin and being knocked down by Rukia who quickly gets back up and look towards Uryu with a serious expression.
"I get it. So, this is your doing." Rukia figured out it was this Uryu guy, the one Ichigo and Yoh told her about.
"Yes, I started this contest between me and the Soul Reaper." Uryu admittedly honestly with his straight face.
"Now what?" Rukia does not like how this young man is treating this as a contest just to get some payback for what the Soul Reapers did to the Quncies.
"No need to worry. I have no intention of letting any innocent bystanders die." Uryu assured, at that much is clear to Rukia though she still doesn't trust him yet.
"Ichigo may run out of strength during the battle. But even if he does, I will protect the citizens of this town. Then, while the Soul Reaper stands by and watches, I alone will kill the Hollows." Uryu proclaimed.
This surprises Rukia a bit to see that Uyru is serious about protecting innocent lives while trying to show that Quincy are better warriors against Hollows than Soul Reapers.
"If I can't accomplish that, then this whole battle is meaningless." Uryu stated strongly.
"It sounds like you're only including Ichigo in that little contest of yours, there is the fact that Yoh is in this and he's fighting with Ichigo to deal with the Hollows right now." Rukia mentioned.
"I figured he would get himself involve, but it doesn't matter because I will win!" Uryu formed his Qunicy Bow and readied an arrow to kill the Hollow.
(Urahara Shop)
"Now just… what are you saying?" Chad asked as he and the two girls are really shocked to hear the truth from Kisuke.
He told them everything about the Soul Reapers and Hollows, the monsters they just fought and won, this feels all too sudden for them when they just gotten through some crazy moments ago.
"Excuse me, but all this stuff about Soul Reapers and Hollows is just so sudden." Orihime said.
"Yeah, how do we even know that you're not one of those monsters?" Tatsuki asked glaring at the candy store man.
"I can promise you that I'm a friend, I'm also the caretaker for Yoh Asakura." Kisuke mentioned Yoh and that got the three older teens to calm down a little.
"Both him and Ichigo Kurosaki, a Soul Reap, are fighting Hollows even as we speak. And the strong spiritual energy they have released during that fight has had an influence on you. So, now you know." Kisuke explained.
"Hey, wait a minute." Tatsuki realized something.
"I think Yoh did something to us back when we first met him, in the fist-bump." Tatsuki mentioned.
"He did?" Orihime asked in surprise.
"All he did was making your own spiritual energy stronger, the rest was on you." Kisuke said.
"However, it's all up to you whether or not you choose to open the gate that has appeared before you." Kisuke said, giving them a choice to accept this new reality of truth or they could just walk away which may mean he'll have to erase their memories.
The three teens are very shocked to have learned everything about this supernatural stuff that is currently happening right now in their very own hometown, and two of their friends are fighting against those Hollow monsters as well.
"Excuse me, boss?" Tessai said, getting his attention.
"The Sky Rift is beginning to open." Tessai informed.
"And the preparations?" Kisuke asked, hoping they got that part done in time.
"All set." Tessai answered with confidence with a bow.
"Well then, let's go." Kisuke said.
"Let's go? Go where?" Tatsuki asked.
"You did want proof? Then come see for yourself what lies beyond the gate." Kisuke grinned as he walks through the open door.
(Back with Uryu)
Just as Uryu was about to kill the Hollow, something had already cut it in half down the middle much to everyone's surprise, and it's revealed the attack is none other than Ichigo who showed up and flip over to Uryu's behind where Yoh is shown to be here as well.
"Hey guys, did we miss anything?" Yoh asked with his causal smile.
"Ichigo and Yoh are here!" Rukia was surprised to see them here now.
"I finally found you, Uryu." Ichigo looked toward Uryu.
"Kurosaki." Uryu grinned.
Everyone can feel it in the air, that everything is now going to get intense with this "contest" along with something bad is going to happen soon which is something Yoh can talk to Uryu about and forgetting about this contest.
"You better get ready, Uryu Ishia… because I'm gonna beat the hell out of you. Do you know that?" Ichigo felt his anger boiling from just looking at Uryu.
"Easy there, Ichigo. I know he started this whole mess, but right now we need to figure things out together before this breakout gets even worse than it already has." Yoh stated.
Another Hollow suddenly appeared behind the boy and was ready to cause some mayhem, but its appearance was only short lived when Yoh had already sliced it in two.
"On second thought, I think it's already worse from up there." Yoh pointed his sword toward the sky.
Ichigo looks up to see where Yoh and everyone else here is looking, his eyes widen with shock to see there are a lot more Hollows appearing and there is also a literal crack in the sky which the Hollows are also gathering there.
"What the Hell?" Ichigo wondered what that is.
"The Hollows. They're gathering." Uryu said, feeling something bad from this.
"Uryu, this contest is bullshit now and we all need to work together if we are to stop whatever is going on with that crack because I have a strong feeling that it could be the end for us all if nothing is done." Yoh said.
"Soul Reapers or Qunicys, it doesn't really matter which one is better at this point." Yoh stated.
Hearing that he is getting a lecture right here about not seeing the point of this contest nor that it matters anymore, it made Uryu feel his pride hurt more than listening to reason.
"Maybe so, but I'm going to be the one who will stop this. Because I am the winner!" Uryu proclaimed and ran off.
He fired one spirit arrow that splits into several shooting down some Hollows.
"Down here, filthy Hollows." Uryu shouted, getting the Hollow's attention.
"I, Uryu Ishida, the last of the Quincys, challenge you!" Uryu shouted.
"Is he really the last one?" Ichigo asked, surprise to hear that Uryu is the last Quincy even though he bragged about them so much it sounded like there would be more Quincys out there.
"I'm afraid so, the rest outside from his family were all killed by the Soul Reapers 200 years ago." Yoh revealed which shocked Ichigo.
(Flashback)
The scene shows the meeting that Yoh and Rukia were having with Kisuke learning about the Quincys and what happened back then too.
"As you can imagine, it was a very difficult and painful decision for the Soul Reapers. But in the end, it became necessary to destroy the Quincys because… it was the only way to prevent the destruction of this world." Kisuke explained.
Yoh had a sad expression on his face upon learning about this, feeling sorry for Uryu.
(Flashback End)
"Soul Reapers also refers to by other names back then. They were called Balancers or Regulators." Rukia mentioned.
"What did they balance?" Ichigo asked.
"The souls, Ichigo. It's always about the souls." Yoh said.
"That's right. The number of souls in the Soul Society and in the human world does not change by much as time goes by. They just trade places between the two worlds. It's the job of Soul Reapers to regulate that, to keep the balance." Rukia explained about this balance.
"It worked until the Quincys disrupted the equation." Rukia said.
Uryu is still fighting off the numbers of Hollows killing them off more than his usual approach and can feel his body getting tired too.
"The Quincys didn't cleanse the Hollows. They destroy them completely. This meant that any soul which left the Soul Society for the human world, would never return. If things had continued that way, the balance between the two worlds would have collapsed. It would have meant the apocalypse." Rukia revealed the horrible truth of the Quincys' actions.
This causes Ichigo to gasp, understanding a little more about what is going with in Uryu's head and perhaps this could be that very reason.
And so, the boys ran off to find Uryu and remembering more about the history between the Soul Reapers and Quincys from Rukia.
"So, there were many meetings between the Soul Reapers and the Quincys, but to no avail. The Quincys refused to listen to reason. Finally, there was no choice. The order was given for the Quincys' annihilation. Many have accused the Soul Reapers of arrogance for their actions."
"Come on, we need to get Uryu to work with us instead of against us." Yoh said.
"Only if I get to punch him first." Ichigo grunted.
(With Uryu)
Uryu managed to take down two more Hollows though he finds a few more coming in taking their place and all glares at the human boy.
"What the… They just keep on coming." Uryu panted a little.
He started to remember his sensei, the kind old man who cherishes him, wondering if he would approve of this if he was here right now.
"(Sensei.)" Uryu thought feared he might see him again in the afterlife.
"URYU!" Ichigo shouted.
Uryu turns to see in one direction where Ichigo is ramming and cutting through the horde of Hollows like a madman without stopping, and Yoh is right behind him.
"(Ichigo Kurosaki, you are completely insane.)" Uryu thought commented in shock.
"Hi Uyru, we're here." Yoh greeted while he and Ichigo are standing on top of the pile of dead Hollows before they dissolve.
"Alright, Uryu. Now I understand why you think Soul Reapers are your enemies." Ichigo yelled down at Uryu.
"I don't know who was right and who was wrong, the Soul Reapers or the Quincys." Ichigo said.
"In my opinion, the Quincys were idiots for not fully understanding their powers and ignoring the fair warnings given to them. But still, that was long ago, and I think it's time for you to let go of the hate." Yoh advised.
"Right, and I do know one thing like your stupid method—"
"That's all ancient history." Uryu said, confusing Yoh and Ichigo.
"I don't care about some slaughter that happened 200 years ago. It's just one more fact that was passed down to me from my sensei. In fact, when I heard that story, I think I sided more with the Soul Reapers than I did with the Quincys." Uryu revealed how he felt when he first heard that story.
"You do?" Yoh was surprised.
"That is… until my sensei was murdered." Uryu mentioned causing them to gasp.

Yoh and Ichigo thought they understood why Uryu is going that reckless contest all for revenge on how the Quincys were killed because of how they could've brought the end of the world, but it turns out that was not the case at all and it's because of a more personal reason to Uryu.
