The 1st of 1000 steps
Nedzu is currently in a meeting with a special Guest talking about his future Employment at the institution he presides over.
"Well this all looks to be a good idea on paper but Toshinori i know you. Will you actually be able to put your job as a hero on the backburner to teach the newest generation?" Nedzu asks as Toshinori sighs some and shakes his head.
"If im being Honest Nedzu no i am not sure i can do that willingly but we BOTH know that i have no choice. We both know im losing more and more time to be a hero. I NEED to find my successor and to do that i must retire from the hero profession." Toshinori says as Nedzu nods and goes to speak only to have someone break the door to his office open.
"NEDZU WE NEED YOU IN THE LOUNGE NOW! IT'S AN EMERGENCY!" A woman wearing a dominatrix like outfit yells in panic as Nedzu looks to toshinori who nods and picks up Nedzu running to the Lounge and seeing on the large Plasma screen TV in the lounge is showing a massive alien ship the size of the entirety of New York city flying through a massive portal. Nedzu's eyes opening wide as he kicks his quirk to overdrive trying to think of any explination before the screen crackles a bit to broadcast snow and white noise as the image on screen changes to that of a cybernetic suit wearing soldier inside what looks like an american F-16 on ultra steroids blast away a huge contingent of these hostile agressor species. His voice coming through the broadcast telling his handler he's engaging the hostile cephs.
Nedzu hearing that immediately puts together the alien ships are being used by cephalopod species like squids or Octopuses. Seeing this soldier and pilot single handedly dog fight a full regimen airforce with weapons and ammunition that put quirks to shame. Seeing his skills piloting the craft Nedzu wonders how often he does this kind of thing till he sees one missile from the humans f-16 explode with the same megaton force as a nuclear missle begins debating if its good for him to root for this man.
Nedzu and the whole teachers lounge is seeing as the humans ship is targeted and they call out in fear as the soldier pops his flares and only takes afew energy blasts which nail a fuel line and the gas tank. As alarms blare inside the cabin of the jet. The soldier keeps his cool as he levels his aircraft out and has it slio between the pursuing enemy ships. As the soldier locks the targets he shoots two smaller missiles nailing both ceph ships destroying them and before the jet hits the oceans surface the soldier slams what seems to be a fuel line into his own leg as his blood is siphoned off and kicks the jet into overdrive launching towards the alien ship.
"This is insane! Aliens are invading us and a single ass american soldier is kicking there asses in the air! This dude fucking ROCKS!" A blonde haired man yells as they see the main canon under the f-16 nose charge up with energy shocking them all as soon a beam that is literally the same size as the fuselage blasts out of the end of the canon shredding the energy barrier before the plane hurdles through it before the shield can repair itself.
All the ships in the beams path are destroyed instantly as the last of the planes missles are shot making a huge hole inside the ships outer shell before the maniac in the jet ejects out of it causing the jet to crash and detonate in the defense canon for that side obliterating a huge section of it. Using the speed and angle of the ejection the soldier sails through the air towards the opening his missles made and he opens his parachute to slow himself down. The soldier lands and slides quite a distance till he stops and walks to an empty looking robotic suit.
"This dude is a fucking maniac! Did he seriously just accomplish that shit?" A man wearing a cowboy outfit with a mask says as they see the soldier pull up his left arm in a hyper advanced suit with a holographic display showing a few lines of code before the robotic suit hes holding pings and a large 3d map is shown to the soldier.
"Who ever this man is he's familiar with these beings technology to the point he can hack it and even gave himself a way to get a full, realtime updated 3d map of the alien ship. Its smart and a very logical action. He now has access to information he can use to navigate stealthily through the ship...well as stealthily as one can after literally crashing his own ship into the damn thing." A man wearing a one piece suit with a scarf and bedraggled hair says.
As This soldier is sneaking his way through the ship planting what look like poker chips everyone but Nedzu seems to be confused as to what they are. The soldier sbeaking his way towards a massive reactor plants two on what seems to be the main pylon housing an orb that is ejecting electricity into a glass tube filled with blue liquid. As the second one is planted The armored soldier is ambushed by a ceph ultra heavy. The 7' 5" tall, fully armored beast grabs The soldier by the shoulder and throws him away from the reactor as it brings up its weapon. Acting quickly The soldier slams a holographic button on his left wrist which causes an EMP burst to short out the cephs kit leaving the weapon useless.
In the way one boxer would another thebsoldier readies up and holds up both his hands in the normal gesture of a starting fight ready to face the Ultra heavy armored ceph one on one. The cephs eyes narrow as its own metal hands ready up and then smashes it's armored hands down on The soldiers own fists in a show of great disrespect only to charge forward.
As the ceph charges forward the soldiers cybernetic armor calls out "MAXIMUM NANOSUIT" only to send a right hook which the soldier dodges only to take the ultra heavy's left hook then the gut jab and the left uppercut making him take a step back only to look at the alien with a happy smirk on his face. Walking forward the soldier just ducks under the cephs attacks smashing a fist into the cephs own robotic suits hands knocking his arms away and landing a few blows into it's armored gut. The Ultra heavy ceph goes on the offensive and lands a few hook shots into the soldiers head knocking the Marine for a loop at the strength the alien suit has.
The ultra heavy launches forward with straight punch enhanced with it's robitic suits strength landing a devastating hit on the soldiers armored skull sending him flying backwards only to have him flip in the air and land on his feet standing up. As the soldier stands up at his full 6 feet 3 inches tall he wags his finger to the ceph as a way of saying "he shouldn't have done that." The ceph is already in the face landing gut shot after gut shot making sure to punish the soldier as he then goes for a knockout head punch only to miss as the Armored soldier spins around the ultra Heavy expertly and raises his fists to his face in a blocking motion only to fly forward much like the ceph had and smashing a punch in its face. The cephs armored head knocks back only to leave its guard open as the soldier gives hard jab after hard jab to the aliens face and abdomen finally ending it by grabbing his arm and flipping it over and hurling it to the middle of the reactor room.
Growling out in psychic anger it rushes at the armored soldier after standing up. Who is also heading over to continue the assault but has to jump back when a massive uppercut from the 7' 5" tall three eyed cephalopod just barely misses his face. The soldier taking this chance in weakness as the ultra heavy's attack sends him staggering forward at a loss of balance. The armored soldier leaps forward and slams a fist into the side of the aliens face knocking it flat on it's front. The alien in it's mechanized suit staggers up to his feet turning around to face the soldier before growling out once more in catatonic rage.
Faster than the Soldier can react the ultra Heavy ceph launches forward with the assist it's suits small jet ports usually used for jumps to increase the strength of the hit and it throws a hard forward jab into the soldiers armored chest hoping to smash into it like a watermelon as a massive crater spanning the footage of about 10 feet bursts out around them from the landed blow. the soldier taking the hit is thrown for a loop as he spins a few times in the air only to land face first into the crater not moving for a second as the punch stopped his heart. The armored soldier before passing away hears the suit once again call out. "You're mission is incomplete soldier! GET YOUR ASS BACK IN THE FIGHT!" As the suit itself defibrilates the Marine.
The soldier slowly gets to his knees as his head is spinning from the punch obviously thrown off his balance and in intense physical pain as he bleeds inside his suit from his head. He himself growls a bit angrily at the beast as the soldiers yells out and turns to face the Ultra heavy ceph while calling out to the alien. "I AIN'T DONE!" Before punching the ground as the armor calls out once more. "MAXIMUM NANOSUIT" Bringing the soldier to smile beneath his faceplate.
The ultra heavy ceph is surprised by this and sees thebarmored suit is charged with tints of red energy as the soldiers armored body is encased in a solid deep black scales knows thebSoldier is even more armored than before. The Ceph not taking a chance races forward to knock the soldiers skull in only to have the soldier jump dodge backwards and race into it leaving an after image of himself behind and lay in to the alien with Multiple powerful jabs to the stomach and arms making the robotic suit groan, creak and dent from the power of the soldiers strikes Only to than be caught off guard as the marine begins landing punches and hook shots right to his now rather fucked up faceplate knocking it around even more.
Streams of after images of the soldiers quick moving arms crackling with the suits red energy follow throughout and within the soldier as he unknowingly is calling upon the stored power source of the ceph DNA he siphoned from the other ceph soldiers he faught in New York City to activate the suits innate abilities. The soldiers very punches leaving the energy in the air in trails behind his fist. The armored Ultra Heavy finally seeing an opening throws a hard punch forward only to regret the action as the Soldier takes this chance to throw a very hardened and empowered punch of his own. Only difference between the two is that the soldiers punch is backed by the power of at least a dozen energy cells worth of energy as well as the strength and will of the marine who is fighting for all who've fallen to the cephalopod aliens invasion and war and the punch lands right into the mechanized suits bicep shattering the entire mechanism inside the arm rendering it useless, bent and limp. Especially since it was crumpled into a pancake at the area where the punch had landed.
As the ceph cries out in agony and pain seeing it's arm bend and broken only to than not respond from one single punch His eyes widen as he sees the armored soldier get into its face and defenses.
The soldier doesn't relent and this time only focuses on face and head punches softening up the armored suits entire Q-Carbon hardened helmet causing blood and other strange liquids to fly everywhere as the soldier has the ultra heavy drop to it's knees after a rather hard punch to the top of the skull only to bring his hand back and send the hardest uppercut he can into the ultra heavy's armored jaw. When the blow connects it sends a shock wave throughout the area cascading around the two fighters as the soldier had punched the bastard in the underside of the jaw so hard and with every last ounce of power, strength, skill and will he has that his uppercut to the cephs armored head causes the bastards head to literally launch off his body and fly so high into the air air it actually hits the roof of the reactor room bursting like a ballistic gel ball struck with a 50 caliber rifle bullet. The soldier seeing this just sighs leaving the headless neck to gush blood and strange fluids like a fountain. The broken and mashed up armored body falls onto the floor dead as the soldier then carefully continues his task at leaving the area to go to the next so he may plant more explosives.
Silence pervades over the teachers lounge as they just witnessed this one man take out a fully armored behemoth of a creature and how the suit can essentially talk and even defribrilate a downed and near dead soldier to make them continue fighting. Powerloader salivating at the thought of getting his hands on the suit hoping the soldier makes it out alive so he can share its schematics.
"Okay...we all just witnessed the universe literally proving why it is man who is made in gods image with that brutal ass beat down. So this soldier knows aerial combat, stealth and reconnaissance, hand to hand combat and weapons mastery and all of it is enhanced by his strange ass suit. Im glad this guys human." Says Midnight as she leans back in her chair witnessing as the soldier continues sneaking snd occssionally fighting through the cephs numbers. As the soldier frees what seem to be prisoners every hero is stunned as he does it without hesitstion and even assist them in getting to suits that allow them to walk out of the water and even protect and take fire protecting them from harm. They notice the soldier even ping them as friendlies in his suit and call on the radio finally getting a name from the soldier and see his very young looking but very tired face.
Izuku is currently sharing memories with what is called the Ceph queen who then mimics a human kiss of good luck making Midnight and surprisingly 13 coo at how cute it was before the queen leaps off into the waters of the ocean below the ship leaving a stunned izuku who puts his helmet/facial visor back on and is immediately swarmed by more cephs but is able to slip away only to bring forth straight up gurilla tactics and full on improvised military traps.
"Oh dear god. That's definitely a damn American marine under that suit...no other kind of american grunt is able to deal THAT much of an ass whooping on that many enemies. One thing i learned in america was you never and i repeat NEVER! Let a marine improvise." Toshinori says as soon the Marine is finished with his task and on the ships massive roof running towards the end and calling for backup, evac and rescue of the refugee's from the ceph ship only to be told to essentially just die before the marine takes a bullet to the leg dropping him prone. The soldier looking back as he sees the current ceph leader in a modified heavy suit with its face revealed as Izuku smirks and pulls out a small detonator and squeezes it.
The entire ship rocks as the planted devices arm and explode and destroy untold amounts of it forcing it to fall out of the sky slowly crashing to the waters below as the soldier activates what seem to be magnetized boots that keep him from going over the side of the ship. The marine however saves the Ceph leader by grabbing his hand and before anyone can ask themselves why Izuku plants a poker chip like device to the cephs forhead and drops him before arming the bomb and squeezing the detonator killing the ceph leader in a violent display of an explosion. The armored up Marine now running and getting to an escape pod and flying towards the shores of a landfill beach Toshinori recognizes before standing up and buffing up to his hero form.
"THATS DAGOBAH BEACH I SHALL RUSH TO THE SOLDIERS AID AND GET HIM HERE!" the man yells as he leaps out the window rushing to the beach never seeing the next stretch of fight the marine has to contend with.
"JESUS H. CHRIST! Nedzu we need a plan to kill that fucking thing before it can attack us. I don't know if that marine will be enough to actually stop it!" An old woman with a syring cane says as she watches the armored marine backed into a corner sure up his will and continue the fight.
"Holy shit! Outsized, outgunned and dead to fucking rights knowing he'll die against thing he still chooses to fight to the fucking end!" A different hero calls out. Being Vlad King as he watches the marine dodge tentacles and fight the kaiju ass alien until the very end when the marine is swallowed whole holding a chainsaw he picked up of all things.
"SHIT" All the teachers and Nedzu say knowing itll only be a matter of time before All Might will show up and kill the creature only to be surprised as the creature screams in agony as explosions begin popping holes in it as the marine soon chainsaws his damn way out from inside the kaiju sized ceph. Despite the armored suit and his own flesh seeming half digested.
The marine scrambles his way to the monsters head and despite the remaining armored suit calling out again that it's in it's maximum variant the marine still mangles his hands and even looses hisnleft arm to the shock of everyone in the room as some look away to throw up including Nedzu who sees the marine lose some teeth pulling the pin on a grenade to end the fight as when falling to the ocean below the marine flips the kaiju sized ceph off before its brains are quite literally blown everywhere by the grenade.
"Recovery girl prep the surgery room right now. Toshi should arrive before the soldier will bleed to death. We need to save that man and we need to do it now!" Nedzu says as they see something unexpected. The broadcast is still going as The ceph queen and her subjects show up and begin applying medical aid to the armored marine as they even locate his left arm and reattach it. The technology they have will definitely be a boon. Soon enough Toshi is seen in his all might form and speaks with the queen before the signal dies and regular TV turns on as The queen and her subjects rise to follow All Might.
UA Infirmary
Currently dreaming of memories while unconscious Izuku see's the previous holder of the nanosuit prophet walking with a huge AA gun held in his hands firing at the ship thst just wasted his regiments submarine able to knock it outta the sky as Izuku himself is slipping in and out of consciousness.
"Wheres my support? Wheres the sub? Fucking Ceph took you all out? It can't be. Goulds counting on us." Prophet says as izuku sees him kneel before him. Izuku barely alive from his injuries.
"Hmm Alcatraz? That your callsign? Alcatraz? Destiny's a bitch huh? It'll be on you now son." Prophet says as izuku passes out. Soon Izuku wakes up being carried into a warehouse only to be set down on a table.
"Alcatraz, this is all i can do. It's all i can do for any of us. You're my last shot here. Ghould's last chance. Last chance for all of us. I'm used up. I'm a dead man walking. I'm contaminated, but you? You can finish this fight. You have to. Welcome to the future son. Welcome to the war." Prophet says as Izuku half conscious sees his rigbt arm is in a hyper advanced set of armor that feels more like his own flesh.
"Oh yeah, one last wish. It won't let me go thst easily. Symbiosis. Gotta break the link." Prophet says as the pov shifts to PRophets view where picks up a gun.
"I gave you the suit, gave you my life. Promise me...find Ghould. It's all i can do now. You are all i can do. They used to call me prophet. Remember me." Prophet saysbas he puts the gun to his head and pulls the trigger blowing his brains out and severing the link. The muzzle flash of the gun blinding white as Izuku wakes up from his nightmare shooting upright and panting heavily and sweating seeing that the whole suit is once again repaired and he's still alive somehow.

The suit itself showing The old lady and a few other medics that the suit itself was alive and fusing into the boys wounds essentially becoming his skin and merging with him. The suit altering his very DNA with that of the Cephs he's killed. It even shows the old lady kissing his cheek and surprisingly he glows green along with the suit which has the suit fully repair itself and fuse futher into Izuku as the suit begins healing him too. Knowing he can never take the suit off again kinda bums him out but Thankfully the suit has opening for when he needs to do his business. Speaking of he needs to take a leak.
As Izuku goes to stand up the door opens and Izuku sees the Ceph queen race into the room hugging him tightly. The Ceph queen not speaking just holding him as though it was more to comfort herself rather than to comfort him.
"I'm fine, my nanosuit gave me an update. Strange powers these people have huh?" Izuku says as the silent queen merely nods but keeps a hold of him. Soon a sucker from the queen seph who is a really beautiful shade of pinkish red gently places itself on his unarmored forehead and his eyes go blank as his mind is pulled into the suits neural network and he is shown pretty much everything the queen ceph learned about this strange dimension and even about the strange abilities they have called quirks. The people have powers over everything from flight, animal transformations, super strength, to psychokinetic abilities and so many more. Izuku is blown away as He looks at the Ceph queen who smiles at him.
"I see, so essentially what you learned was ... Shocking. These abilities can alter reality for fucks sake. That one womans kiss to my cheek caused my nano suit to literally fully heal inside my own wounds fusing to me... Guess im pernanently stuck in this suit." Izuku says as the Ceph queen just shakes her head before wraping some tentacles aroun him and pulling him close as someone walks into the room.
"Greetings young man. Am I a bear, am i a dog am i..." The creature begins speaking before Izuku answers.
"You're a possum with one of those quirk things. The fuck you want i have to take a leak." Izuku says in japanese as Nedzu sweatdrops.
"I am here to ask you a few questions and hopefully put an end to a cold case nearly a decade in the making. Are you or are you not one "Izuki Midoriya" as you stated in your broadcast?" Nedsu says as he walks towards Izuki with a stack of papers.
"I am. My name is Izuku Midoriya. Designation "Human Unit Never Killed." A man made monster. Can I please use the restroom before this goes further. I'm not an invalid so I would prefer not pissing myself in front of guests." Izuku says heading to restroom before an answer is heard. After about a minute Izuku walks out having washed his armored hands.
"So you are Izuku Midoriya. Well have you ever wondered about your past? Why you were different from other children where ever you were? Maybe memories you had no one else did? Things that couldn't be explained?" Nedzu asks as Izuku just narrows his eyes at him.
"I'm in no mood rodent. Don't try those bullshit mind games on me like I'm some weak minded dipshit who believes in fairies or that Communism works. Get to the point or I walk out of here." Izuku says as Nedzu sighs holding out a file.
"Izuku Midoriya, a ten year old cold case. Kidnapped from his mother by a radical group of quirkist and according to members of the group was used in an experiment to test old world war 2 teleportation tech with the help of quirks. You were never found. Most members believed the device just killed you and erased you from existence leaving no evidence. However the higher ups were testing the teleportation device. I asked about memories not to play mind games but because i genuinely believed that you would remember all these super powers being normal" Nedzu says as Izuku just tosses the folder away after taking a few looks at it.
"Nice fakes and fake story to cover it. I don't have amnesia and I wasn't born yesterday so I'm not falling for it. I was born in Grafton WV in America 1926. Adopted by two lovely people when my birth parents abandoned me in the forest to die. Nice try, but if you're going to try and play Savior you need to work on your lines. Besides the German Die Glocke experiments were stopped by me personally when I was experimented on in germany so I know they would work if tried. It's how I'm different. Guess my time spent as the world's most wanted terrorist because of a lying general didn't spread enough of my history and what happened."Izuku says as Nedzu has his quirk active to try and outthink the logic Izuku said. Finally going for a hail Mary play he sighs and looks at Izuku.
"Listen Mr. Midoriya, you say the German experiment would work if tried. Those are official records from Japan's criminal investigation cold case vault. You weren't abandoned. You were kidnapped. Also 1926? It's 2277 here. So the dates don't match up but that's because the Bell experiment..." Nedzu says before Izuku cuts him off
"Was a time machine test aswell as a teleportation device. I know because I'm not an idiot and again I was there and stopped the original experiment. The story though, would explain blank spots in my memories but they aren't going to change the fact I'm NOT one of you guys. I was born in West Virginia in 1926. Besides 2277? It's only August of 2023 where I'm from. As for my age being nearly 100 years old and looking 14 years old. Blame the Germans and their "Super Soldier" experiment when using element 115 from the Tunguska meteorite they managed to salvage from the Ceph in 1908. It made me ageless. AKA The perfect soldier. Now I'm done here. I have a portal to find my way back too." Izuku says as Nedzu shakes his head.
"The portal back to your home was closed as of 12:30 am this morning. Unless you or the cephalopod race can construct a new portal you're sadly trapped here in this world. Now I'm sure you're going to need a place to stay. So just please...hear me out. We actually have physical proof that you are this Izuku Midoriya besides blood tests. I just ask that you trust me. That is all I want. A little bit of trust." Nedzu says as he looks to the ceph queen who nods at Izuku as he sighs finally relenting.
"Fine. I'll give you a bit of trust. What's this evidence you got." Izuku says as He is soon lead towards a nanobench where he soon lies on it. As the ceph queen herself begins looking through the neural pathways she makes her way to deeply buried memories inside his head and plays a few. Some of him and his mother Inko. His father breathing fire while showing off his cooking skills and Of young him watching All Might of all people saving people from a collapsed building. Izuku seeing them is at first sceptical but remembers what Ghouls had said about the suit and it's features sighing as it plays that memory along with Prophets suicide and last wish.
Izuku looks at the memories the Ceph queen unlocked by digging deeper and deeper into his mind. Izuku replaying the day a nearly crippled doctor pulls out an X-ray and says he's quirkless. Izuku is a little shocked before he looks to the ceph queen.
"Can you find a memory for me. The supposed day I was kidnapped? It's in the file that rodent showed me. I know this suit and chair can't lie because it shows me my own memories. Even repressed and locked away memories." Izuku says as he is shown a small window that depicts his mother being assaulted physically and kept away from him as the strange men just pull him into a big panel van and driven towards a warehouse where a strange object is in the center.
Izuku is soon beaten bloody and tossed inside the device before it's activated. A huge blue hue fills the room as a large chugging sound is heard before a high pitched screech when a bolt of lightning strikes Midoriya and he blacks out. Soon enough Izuku wakes up barely conscious as a middle aged man with a rifle on his back is kneeling beside him with a huge furry beast running off into the forest and he speaks in English.
"Hey little guy! My god, poor thing you're beat to shit ain't yah? Shitty parents just abandoned yah out here huh? Don't worry I stopped the bear from hurting you anymore. Come on let's get you outta the cold little...uh hey what's your name, can you tell me your name?" The man says as Izuku remembers being found and tearing up hearing his father's voice before answering in a slightly broken voice.
"M-Midoriya, Izuku." Izuku says at the same time as his memory self while the middle aged man nods.
"Midoriya huh? Well fuck that the izuku's didn't want you so you're now a croqvist. Welcome to the family son." The man says as He picks up Izuku and makes the treck back to the city where he's put in the hospital to be healed up.
Izuku sighs as his tears flow down his face. The Ceph queen seeing this feels his emotions through the mental link she forced on him to speak telepathically with the people of this world and she leans in planting her head against his own in a show of comfort knowing his people do this sometimes. Feeling it Izuku sighs as he grabs one of her tentacles and chuckles.
"It's fine queen. I'm crying happy tears. I haven't had time to think about my father for more than a few moments in years. This was a good thing. Thank you for this gift." Izuku says as the ceph queens face lightly tints to a darker shade of pink as she mentally speaks to Izuku.
"Call me scrya. I... I'm sorry youngling...I had to force a mind link between us in order to speak with these ... People as you call them. I know it was wrong but I needed to know what they were trying to say and I did it to save your life. I will understand if you hate me." The Ceph queen says mentally to Izuku as he just shakes his head.
"Don't worry about it. I'm glad you did. I thought I'd finally die a hero instead of a man made monster but being alive is a nice surprise. So what does this mind link entail? Other than you knowing English?" Izuku says as the queens head leans down as her eyes take on a sorrowful expression.
"I essentially forced our minds to be one. In our culture it is a way of...tying oneself to another what your species calls... marriage." The queen says as she turns away from him slightly worried as Izuku's mind goes blank.
"Our memories will gradually merge together in a way so that we know of everything the other is and has done. Your likes, your dislikes, your hatred and your past will be known to me.
