Kakashi can hear her crying when he entered their home.

"Sakura?" he called out, while walking towards the couch where he can see the top of her head.

Sakura looked up, her eyes red and puffy from crying. As she saw Kakashi, a mix of emotions crossed her face – pain, anger, and sadness. She wiped away her tears, attempting to regain composure.

"Kakashi, I'm sorry." Sakura whispered.

"For what?" he asked, his voice full of confusion.

Sakura took a shaky breath before responding, her words heavy with emotion. "For not trusting you. For doubting us. I... I just found out about the truth, about how my mother manipulated everything to make you cheat."

"What?" Kakashi asked. "What do you mean? I.. you can stop making excuses for me. I take full responsibility of my actions, Sakura."

Sakura shook her head. "No. She... she came here. She told me everything. Mai... she set up Mai for you."

Kakashi's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? I... how? Why?"

Sakura sighed, her gaze meeting Kakashi's. "She did it to prove a point. To show me that you, like every other man, would betray me. She wanted to break us, Kakashi. But I won't let her. I won't let her poison our relationship."

Kakashi's expression shifted from confusion to a mix of anger and frustration. "I can't believe she would do that. I thought I ruined everything by my own mistakes."

Sakura reached out and took Kakashi's hand in hers. "Kakashi, I'm not saying that what happened wasn't painful. But knowing this, it... it lessened the sting of your perceived betrayal." she murmured. "Kakashi, please..." she looked at him with frantic eyes. "I don't want her near me again. Please, I don't want her to be anywhere near the house. I want her out of my life."

Kakashi squeezed Sakura's hand, understanding the pain and fear in her eyes. "I'll make sure she stays away, Sakura. I won't let her hurt you anymore. I'm sorry that you had to go through this, and I'll do everything I can to protect you." He wiped away her tears. "And I'm sorry. For being a tool in her ploys. It will never happen again. I promise."

Sakura nodded. "Just please, don't go there again. Don't meet with that Mai again."

Kakashi nodded, determination in his eyes. "I promise, Sakura. I don't want anything to come between us again. I love you, and I'll do whatever it takes to make things right."

She nodded before throwing herself into Kakashi's arms. "Thank you." she whispered. "I love you too."

Sakumo smiled at the scene that he walked in to. It seems like the two is repairing their broken marriage. He quietly let himself out of the door and promised himself that he will return later.

Kakashi pulled away slightly to looked at her eyes. "You've been through so much." he whispered, he brushed away the stray strands of hair out of her face. "I assure you, Sakura, I will take care of you. I will not let you experience this pain anymore." he vowed.

He smoothed her shoulder-length pink locks and held her closer to him. He brushed his still cloth-covered lips to the top of her head. "I will do everything to make sure she's never going to be able to hurt you anymore."

Sakura leaned into Kakashi's embrace, finding solace in his words and the warmth of his presence. She felt a mix of emotions — relief, gratitude, and a glimmer of hope for their future together. As they held each other, the weight of the recent revelations and the pain they caused began to ease.

"Thank you, Kakashi," Sakura whispered, her voice filled with a mix of emotions. "And I'm sorry. For just packing up and leaving."

"Shhh..." Kakashi pressed his cheek on her head. "It was my fault. Even if she orchestrated everything, I'm partly at fault too. But I assure you, it will never happen again. I love you too much to do that to you again."

Sakura nodded, finding comfort in Kakashi's words. The road ahead was still uncertain, and the wounds of betrayal ran deep, but they were determined to face it together. In that moment, with Kakashi's arms around her, Sakura felt a renewed sense of strength and a flicker of hope for the future.

As they held each other, the shadows of the past began to fade, and the healing process started. The journey to rebuild trust and mend their marriage would be challenging, but with their commitment to each other, they believed they could overcome the obstacles.

Kakashi gently tilted Sakura's face up to meet his gaze. "We'll take this one step at a time, Sakura. I'll do everything to make you happy again, to make us happy again."

Sakura managed a small smile, gratitude shining in her eyes. "I believe you, Kakashi. Let's face this together."

With those words, they embraced the uncertainty of the future, knowing that their love, resilience, and commitment would guide them through the challenges ahead. The process of rebuilding trust and rediscovering each other had begun, and they were determined to make their marriage stronger than ever.
