Alright folks. Chapter 15. I have some wholesome stuff planned for this chapter, with Ben adjusting back into his life. But now, some announcements. First, I will be starting other stories. I have three others currently in writing. Mass Effect, Arcane and a Transformers fic. They will be released later next month. Second, next chapter will be a Q and A. Leave your questions in my messages or in the reviews. It can be about anything retaining to the story or ideas. Third, I'd like it if you guys could share this story with others. I'd love to get more people reading. That's all and I hope you enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 15: As It Was

Galvin Prime

Ben sat on the medical bed in Azmuth's lab. He had his shirt removed so Azmuth could take a good look at the cybernetics. Ben sat as still as possible when Azmuth removed the robotic arm. The Galvin sneered at it. "Such primitive technology. I'm surprised you didn't get electrocuted."

Ben chuckled. "Oh I did, but the chip they put in my brain cut off all emotions."

Azmuth nodded as he put the cybernetic arm on the side table next to the bed. He laid it beside the removed control chip. Azmuth performed a quick operation to remove the G3 cybernetics. Including Ben's cybernetic eye.

Luckily for Ben, Azmuth had better, more advanced prosthetics. He installed them on the young hero and Ben felt so much better.

Ben smiled. "Thanks Azmuth." He said moving his new robotic arm.

Azmuth said. "That's not all. I have something else for you."

Ben looked at the Galvin with a raised eyebrow. Azmuth opened a pod, inside, was a new Matrix. It looked like his original future counterparts Omnitrix, but it was different. It had some designs from the Ultamatrix as well on it. The device looked like a gauntlet that was colored green and black with some gold accents. It then began to slither and merge with Ben's arm sending a green energy through his body, causing him to shiver.

Azmuth smiled. "I call it the Infitrix. This is my best design yet. I spent a week through alternate timelines gathering ideas and designs for this. Not only can you transform, you can go ultimate, fuse your aliens together and use your aliens abilities in a new way."

Ben looked at Azmuth. "How do you mean?"

Azmuth nodded and looked at the new Omnitrix. "Omni-Enhance. XLR8".

The watch glowed and Ben became encapsulated in the familiar green energy.

When it cleared, Ben was in wearing armor resembling XLR8. His feet had the familiar orbs but looked more like wheels. He wore a black and white suit with armor that had blue accents. He had a helmet that resembled the head of XLR8 as well.

Ben looked shock. "Whoa!! I have alien armor??!!"

Azmuth smiled. "That was a little…idea of mine. Not only do you have your abilities back, you also have the Master Control. You…you've earned it."

Ben turned back. "Really??!!"

Azmuth nodded. "You have proven yourself time and time again…even sacrificing yourself for the universe. I couldn't be more proud of you..." He smiled.

Ben smiled back. "Thank you Azmuth…" He replied as the armor phased away, leaving him in his human form.

Azmuth said. "Keep doing the right thing. Now...I will teleport you back to Earth. You have much to do and a lot of love to give." He chuckled as he walked with Ben to the teleporter.

Before Ben stepped on, he asked Azmuth one last question. "Do you think Evie is ready for the Omnitrix? The responsibilities I had."

Azmuth nodded. "I don't see why not. She has you to teach her and help her grow. Just like you had your grandfather. Your Infinitrix has the codes for alien samples. As she gets more comfortable with it and uses it responsibly, you can unlock more transformations for her."

Ben nodded. "Right…thanks. Now I have to get home. I have 7 ladies who need love."

Azmuth nodded and sent Ben back to Earth.

Meanwhile…there was a vehicle driving towards Ben's parents house . Ben's family and friends decided to throw him a return party, but wanted to surprise him. They had his favorite foods and drinks. Sandra went all out for her baby boy.

Inside the car was Gwen and Kevin as they went to get the cake for Ben. It had green and black frosting saying "Welcome Home" on it. Even better, it was an ice cream cake.

Gwen smiled. "Ben's going to love this."

Kevin nodded. "I bet he will. He went a long without any good food." He chuckled.

Gwen winced, she quickly held her stomach. "Easy there, Caroline…." She mumbled.

Kevin looked at her worriedly. "Is everything ok, babe?"

Gwen nodded. "Oh yes yes…It's just the baby…"

The couple arrived and Ben's parents had the backyard decorated.

Hope was using her magic to hang streamers. Looma was instructing Carl on where to put the grill. Ester and Attea were blowing balloons. Helen was painting the banner, Shar was watching her younger brother, Young One, play with Evie, and Mazuma was helping Sandra cut up the condiments for the food.

Gwen and Kevin walked in the backyard. Sandra looked up and saw them. "Gwen, Kevin!! Thank you for getting the cake." She smiled and helped them set it down.

Gwen smiled. "It was no problem, Aunt Sandra. I just hope he likes it."

"It's his favorite flavor. And the bakery gave it to us on the house." Sandra replied.

Kevin chuckled. "I guess being a hero has its perks."

Gwen sighed. "I'm still nervous about everyone seeing Ben…he's so different from when he last saw everyone. He spent four months isolated, under that mind controlling monster." She gritted her teeth, getting slightly angry.

Kevin rubbed her back to calm her down.

Gwen took a deep breath and nodded.

Sandra nodded. "That's why we're having this party, so that Ben knows he's not alone and that we all still love him."

Gwen smiled. "I guess that's true…"

Soon guests started to arrive.

Cooper and Lucy were the first. They recently became a couple and they looked cute together. Lucy held Cooper's muscular arm, looking content.

Gwen still couldn't believe Lucy was finally in a relationship and with Cooper of all people.

Alan arrived after the new couple.

Gwen and Kevin welcomed him. "Alan, you made it." Gwen said with a smile.

Alan smiled. "Well I couldn't miss Ben's homecoming party. I just hope he looks better than that day…"

Kevin chuckled. "You're not the only one."

"As long as he doesn't try and kick my ass again." A voice said. It was revealed to be Manny.

Alan and Manny entered the party.

After them, Max and Verdona arrived, with Sunny in tow behind Verdona.

Gwen tried to avoid Sunny. Gwen was too pregnant to deal with Sunny's shenanigans.

Lastly Gwen's parents arrived. They missed their nephew and wanted to see him.

Everyone was conversing and mingling.

Evie and Young One found a place to sit as all the adults got ready for Ben.

Eventually they heard the sound of a teleporter and the front door open.

Sandra instructed everyone to hide and prepare.

Ben made his way through the house. He was confused as he couldn't find anyone. "Hello?" He said out-loud.

No answer.

His robotic eye then turned into a scanner and scanned the house. He found heat signals in the backyard.

Ben opened the back door and was bombarded with "SURPRISE!!"

His eyes widened as he saw all his family, lovers and friends in the backyard. It had felt like an eternity since he was last surrounded by people who actually loved him.

He smiled and went to greet everyone.

Meanwhile, at the Plumber Base

Magister Patteliday walked with Jon to the Interrogation Room.

Jon decided to stay at the base to help with some issues while everyone else attended Ben's party. Echo Squad recently disbanded after each agent was assigned a new position. So Jon was all that was left. Luckily he was getting a new squad to train next week. A fresh batch of recruits.

Jon was reading Rojo's file. "Holy shit, this is a lot of information."

The fishy plumber nodded. "Yep. Rojo is one of our most dangerous criminals. When Ben broke her out, other prisoners escaped. She may have information on where they are."

Jon shook his head. "Highly doubt that. I think they just took advantage of the situation when the breakout happened."

Patteliday replied. "Even still, we need to get whatever information we can before High Command steps in. Slade's operation ruffled a lot of intergalactic feathers. They're coming for all involved. We were able to get Ben off the hook due to the fact he was under mind control. But Rojo and the other agents are in the frying pan."

Jon nodded. "So basically get what info we can before she is taken away."

Patteliday nodded. "Now you've caught on."

They arrived at the room and Patteliday patted Jon's back. "Good luck, son."

Jon nodded and entered. Rojo was in a chair, with a power damper collar around her neck. She still looked like a crazy animal.

Jon sat at the other end of the table and pulled out a bottle of water. He took a sip and got to it. "So…Rojo. Bank robber, supervillain, mercenary. You have a long list of crimes."

Rojo scoffed. "I see it as a list of accomplishments."

Jon chuckled. "Yet it's gotten you nowhere. Still broke and nowhere to go, no one to be with."

"That's not true!! I have a girlfriend and we have a home." Rojo retorted.

"And this is the future you want? Trying to be Bonnie and Clyde, but always being thwarted and causing harm? Sounds like a miserable life." Jon replied.

Rojo was silent.

Jon sighed. "Let's start over…we need information about Wilson's operation. You help us and I can talk to my bosses to get you some sort of immunity."

Rojo laughed. "Immunity?! Hah!! Fat chance, with someone like me, they'll probably throw me in a bloody cell and throw away the key."

Jon said. "Well you could stay silent and when High Command comes for you, they'll tear the information from your head. They'll do to you what happened with Ben."

He was lying but it definitely scared Rojo.

Rojo thought for a moment then said. "You're sure you can get me off?"

Jon nodded. "It'll take some convincing and persuasion but…I can get you off with probation and community service. That would mean you will have to give up your criminal life, and you will be heavily monitored. But…it's a start."

Rojo then said." What do you want to know?"

Jon smiled and began to write down information Rojo began to tell him.

After Rojo spilled her guts, Jon then asked a last question. "Why did you want to speak to me?"

Rojo said. "You aren't like these idiots here. You actually understand me. Something about you…I can't put my finger on it just yet. But I will soon."

Jon nodded. "I don't see how, but I'll take your word for it."

Jon got up to leave, but Rojo stopped him. "Wait…why do you want to help me?"

Jon turned and said. "I have been in a similar situation. I used to be greedy, arrogant and a terrible person. And it took an artillery shell to wake me up. I wish to save people from that." He left the room.

Rojo sat there in thought. Maybe…there was more to this. Beyond just stealing.

Time will tell…

Meanwhile

Sandra sat with the girls, looking at old photos of Ben.

Ben sat on the opposite couch as the girls giggled, seeing the young pictures of Ben.

Sandra turned the page. "Ooo here's when he played Toto in the Wizard of Oz!!"

The girls awed at the picture of little Ben in a dog costume, looking very unhappy.

Ester smiled. "He looks so cute."

Mazuma giggled. "Still just as cuddly too."

Hope asked. "Do you have copies of this picture?"

Sandra chuckled and smiled brightly. "Oh I have dozens."

Ben facepalmed, his cheeks turned bright red, he was extremely embarrassed.

Sandra turned the page and it was baby Ben. He had a white shirt, green overalls and the cutest booties ever.

This made the girls practically melt.

Attea smiled. "Awwww, it's our Benny baby~"

Looma squealed. "I just want to pinch those cheeks."

Shar smiled. "I wonder if our children will look like him."

Helen said. "I know mine and Ben's will probably be like I was. Start off human, but turn more Kineceleran as they hit puberty."

Sandra said. "I'll love them all either way. I can't wait to have more grandchildren."

Ben said. "Evie can't wait either. She's excited to be a big sister."

Hope looked around. "Speaking of Evie, where is she?"

Ben said. "I think she's upstairs with Young One." He then got up and called out for Evie to come downstairs.

Evie ran downstairs and smiled.

"Yes daddy?"

Ben hugged her. "We just wanted to see our beautiful girl's little face."

Evie giggled. "What are we talking about?"

"You being a big sister." Mazuma said.

Evie smiled softly and went over to Looma and gently kissed her mom's stomach. "Hi baby, It's me, Evie, your big sister."

All the lovers awed in how adorable this sweet interaction was. Looma nearly broke down in tears, her emotions were all over the place today.

Ben moved over to the couch Looma was on and pulled her into a comforting hug.

It was a beautiful moment all around.

Sandra smiled as she was so proud of her boy.

She set up a camera, so they could take a family photo to remember this day for centuries.

At that moment, Ben's alarm on the Infitrix went off. There was an attack downtown.

He looked at Evie. "Ready?"
