AN: There's one more Arc after the Wandering Sea if anyone is asking, then it'll be Hogwarts.
Ch 80 Class with Merlin(s)
"Y-YOU'RE MERLIN!?" Harry asked loudly, staring at a young white-haired Man. "But how can this be!? The Legends depicted you as an old Wizard," He said, remembering that many Stories described him as an Old, Wise Wizard who aided King Arthur and the Roundtable.
There were also rumors that Merlin was involved with the Twelve Paladins of Charlemagne. But those are just speculations in the History Books he read before Chaldea.
"Ah yes, the Old Man Persona. That was something I'd like to do when I'm in the mood for Pranking." Merlin explains to the young Boy. "Back in the time of the Middle Ages, I was known for my pranks on the Roundtable and charming up Women. Though I do take my job seriously, but what's Life without a little Fun, eh?" He asked, winking at the young Boy.
Merlin then sighs, walking to the desk behind him. "But at last, my misdeeds with Vivian have led me to my imprisonment in my lonely Tower within Avalon." The Magus of Flowers said, "Forever alone, only to watch Humanity thrive until the end of Times."
Harry was dumbfounded, here he thought Merlin was a respectable Person like the Stories say. However, after meeting him his views on who Merlin was changed, in fact, one could say he's…" So…you're a Lady's Man."
The white-haired Incubus chokes on his saliva, not expecting the polite Boy to be rash. "Ha…HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Merlin bellows out after hearing Harry's rash words. "Wow, never thought I heard a Child say that to his Elder." He got down from his desk and smiled.
"This is going to be an interesting Tutoring that I did," Merlin commented, finding an interest in the young Heir. "Out of many Pupils I've taught when I was around, you young master are the First who spoke brashly during our first meeting." He said with a smile.
Harry looked at Merlin, "Um, thank you?" He replied, unsure how to respond to that.
Merlin chuckles, placing his hand over his chin. "Oh yes, this will be an interesting time." He looks down at Harry, asking him one thing. "Say, how do you feel about learning what I call, Merlin Magecraf-GAK!"
"DIE MERLIN! FOU!"
All of a sudden, Fou kicked Merlin in the face for suggesting such a thing. "F-Fou!? W-What are you doing!? AND DID YOU TALK!?" Harry reacted, his hands were flailing around, unsure what was happening or what to do.
Fou was scratching and hitting the Magus of Flowers, punishing him for suggesting a thing.
"Ah, that was a nice Coffee Break. Now onto-eh?" A pink-eyed Woman with white hair and white robes entered a rather unexpected scene.
Fou was still beating on Merlin as Harry tried to get him off from the Grand Caster. "F-Fou! Get off him, please!" Harry said, trying to pry Fou off.
After a few minutes of prying off Fou from Merlin. Things settled down, and now Harry sat before a similar-looking Woman to Merlin stood next to him.
"Fou, Fou, Fou!" The Beast tried to break free of Harry's hold, but he held him.
Harry glared at Fou, hearing him barking up a storm. "Fou, no. You don't do that." He scolded the Beast before hearing the newcomer speak.
"Well, after a few minutes of that and whatnot. I think we should do a reintroduction, am I right, Big Brother?" Proto Merlin asked her 'Brother'.
Merlin chuckled, "Of course, ahem." The Grand Caster looks at Harry, who's holding Fou in his hands. "Like before, I am Merlin, the Magus of Flowers, and this-"
"I'm known as Lady Avalon (Between you and me, I am also Merlin from another World)." Proto Merlin introduced herself to Harry.
"Wait, you're Merlin too? There's two Merlins here in Chaldea!?" Harry asked the two, still feeling Fou getting free from his grip. "How is that possible?" He asked.
Merlin smiled, raising his index finger. "Allow me to explain! Our Universe is made up of this Wibbly-Wobbly Timey thing where many events unfold." The white-haired Magus explains. "From this Timeline I was Born as a Male and taught a Female version of King Arthur Named Arturia. And I also got trapped in the Gardens of Avalon."
"But, if you're trapped. How come you're here?" Harry asked, finding it strange for someone who is trapped until the World Ends to be running about.
"Ah, I just used a Loophole in the Independent Action Skill to manifest myself here in Chaldea." Merlin explains his situation to the young master.
"While I was never trapped, but for me to manifest myself to Chaldea I've become a Pretender." Proto Merlin explains her own situation to Harry. "I have trained a Male variant of Arthur Pendragon in my own Camelot. But do keep that a secret, Arthur might hear that and he's peeved at me for making go on a Beast Hunt." The Pretender chuckles, doing her best to stay away from Arthur.
Harry nodded, still comprehending a lot from the two Servants. "Alright,"
"Now, let's begin your Lessons," Merlin said, getting to the point of them being here. "In your time here, we'll teach you many things about Magecraft." The Caster explained with a smile.
Proto Merlin took over, continuing the intro. "Since you're a Wizard and have a unique Wand made by Circe. I'd say we have a good place to where we're going to start." She commented.
"So what am I going to learn, Mer-er-Lady Avalon, Mr. Merlin?" Harry asked, wondering what type of Magecraft he'd use.
Merlin smiled, answering his question. "Since the Wizards are using my Prank Spells that someone stole back when as their Magic. It's best that you learn how to counter it." The Caster said, walking towards the Board and picking up the marker. "This I call, Anti-Wizard Magecraft and Merlin Magecraft. Now take out your Notebook, young master for we'll go over the Properties and Theory that goes into this."
Harry nodded, raising his Pen. "Ready, Merlin!" Harry smiled, taking down and listening to what Merlin was teaching him.
"FOU!" Fou barks, highly opposing the idea.
The Day went by fast, First was the introduction to Anti-Wizard Magecraft taught by the two Merlins. An entertaining course for him,
Science/Alchemy with Paracelsus Von Hohenheim, the Famous Alchemist who made breakthroughs in the Science and Mage World; the Lesson was interesting. He'd learned that Alchemy and Science are almost the same thing (minus the Mage parts.). Also, Harry learned that Alchemy is the one subject that Mages and Wizards have something in common.
In fact, Paracelsus (after seeing Harry for himself) shared with the young master that he was heavily involved in the Wizarding and Mage World. He is also credited with the discovery of a Language to speak with Snakes called Parseltongue. (AN: seriously it was on the wiki for Harry Potter)
Golem Making was very fun, though Avicebron or Solomon ibn Gabirol; a Philosopher turn Kabbalist who aims to recreate Eden by building the Primordial Giant was a rather odd Instructor.
Avicebron seems distant and yet watchful when he introduces Kabbalah. He spoke to Harry, saying that he's not the greatest of Teachers. But it's something he needs to do to make up for a Past Sin he committed. Saying that he's willing to lend his support to Harry by properly teaching him, unlike his previous master.
The Caster instructed Harry on Kabbalah to make a perfect Golem. Down to the materials and Fundamentals. In all, for someone who says they're not a good Teacher, he does make one now.
Literature with none other than William Shakespeare, the Famous Playwright was also interesting to tune in. Harry felt he'd seen Shakespeare before when he First met.
The Playwright's Lecture on Literary Works was filled with Drama and Enthusiasm that even some of the Staff of the Wandering Sea tuned in.
Tactics with Lu Bu's Strategist during the Three Kingdoms Era were a bit hard for him. Both the Caster and the Assassin, Wu Zetian, the Chinese Empress who ruled China with a strict Authoritarian rule during the Tang Dynasty were teaching him.
The objective of the Class was simple enough, learning how to plan, make use of the Enemy's weakness, and maneuver through a Battlefield. Personally, it was his favorite Physical/Tactical Class because he met a few Children Servants to help out.
They met at the Simulator where he prepared some courses befitting Harry's experience. The Simulations were set on Intermediate Levels, where he commands Servants like Ritsuka and strategizes with his Father's Servants/Bonding with them.
Wu Zetian decided to join in the Lesson, wanting to evaluate his Leadership Skills.
It was also where she could get a good idea of what kind of Leader Harry could be. Hearing about the Battles he participates in is nothing unless she sees it in Person. To the say least, Harry was surprised that the famous Empress was Half his size, almost the size of a Five-Year-old.
Regardless of what size she was, her strict demeanor was nothing to scoff at. If Harry's being honest with himself, she's a bit frightening. Especially when she's slapping the long stick on her hand during her lecture on Leadership. Her First words to him were this.
"I will not tolerate disobedience from anyone, especially you. During my time, I've led China to an Era of Peace and Justice." Wu Zetian spoke to Harry. "No matter what People say, Chaldea is like a Nation for the protection of Humanity. As an Empress, it's my job to make sure Chaldea falls into the right hands,"
"Brat, if you are determined to inherit Chaldea then listen to my Teachings and learn from them for you to be a Leader." The Assassin stated, looking down at the Boy. "Then, and only then when I determine your worth, I will give you my support." She said, not making any signs of a kind gesture.
Harry obviously nodded, accepting the terms. Even with all that and siding with the Anti-Succession Faction, Wu Zetian was a great Instructor. Teaching Harry how to be bold, decisive, and everything that comes with a Leader.
Mathematics was simple enough when his Tutor, James Moriarty (Ruler) was teaching him. The Lessons were similar to the ones he learned from his Archer form.
Physical Education was, to say the least, grueling when the King of Sparta, Leonidas I, the Greek Hero who fended off the Persians with only Three Hundred Men was the Teacher.
Leonidas's curriculum involves Harry running Laps around the Excise Room within the Wandering Sea. Lifting Weights, doing sit-ups, push-ups, and most of all Combat. The Combat session was simple, where Harry learned how to disarm someone of their Weapons and some Hand-to-Hand Combat.
Even though Harry does complain about how much he has to do, Leonidas keeps shouting encouraging words towards him. In all, it may be a bit taxing but it's still fun nonetheless.
Soon it was Late Noon, and Harry along with Fou finished up his Physical Education with the Spartan King. The young Boy huffs, his muscles ache due to the regiment Leonidas training. "I-Is this what it feels to be a Spartan?" He asked Fou, "If so, I'm too tired to even move,"
"Fou, Fou," Fou gave a sympathetic expression, seeing how he was exactly like Ritsuka when he trained with Leonidas in the Seventh Singularity.
Harry smiled weakly at Fou, appreciating his concerns. "Thanks, Fou for that."
"Well done today, young Lord. You have excellent stamina and endurance," Leonidas said, holding his Helmet in his arms revealing his red hair and eyes to the young master. "If you keep up your training, then you'll be able to spar with master."
"Hahaha, maybe not with Dad yet. He's a bit more advanced than I am," Harry said, knowing that his Father is way above his league, even his Mother.
Leonidas laughs, smacking the young Boy's back. "Ha, you have your Mother's humbleness. Believe me when I say, even though she's humbled at all times when things get dire, she's a fierce Warrior." The Lancer commented, experiencing that Firsthand during the Second and Seventh Singularity. "Even the God of War, Ares, and Goddess of Wisdom Athena saw the fire within Lady Mashu's eyes. You do too, though little it'll grow in time."
Harry nodded, appreciating the King of Sparta's Words. "Thanks, King Leonidas-"
The Lancer shook his head, looking down at Harry. "Call me, Leonidas, young Lord. I may be a King, but as Warriors such Titles have no meaning." Leonidas said, placing his hand on Harry's shoulders. "Now, I believe Nemo Baker has prepared a Feast in the Mess Hall. You should get something to eat before your next Lesson."
"Hai!"
Walking down the Halls of the Wandering Sea, Harry looked over his Schedule for the remaining Lessons of the Day. "Alright, I got Runes after Lunch and History with Sion..." He said to himself, reading the List. "Dad says after the director of the Clocktower he and I are going to do something together. But I'm not sure what," He looks at Fou, wondering if he knows. "Do you, Fou?"
"Fou," Fou shook his head as they headed down the Hall.
Soon Harry bumped into someone, "Oh my, seems like you were busy reading your Schedule, master Harrison." Harry looks up, seeing a familiar Servant standing before him
"Oh, hello Count Cagliostro." Harry greeted the Vice-Principal of their Little School. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there,"
"It's fine, I understand that you're busy with your Classes and their Lessons," Cagliostro said with an uncertain smile. "Tell me, how were they so far?" The Pretender asked, curious what the Boy thinks of their Curriculum.
Harry ponders before replying. "They were fun, strange, but fun. I've learned a lot from Professor Von Hohenheim and Avicebron." The young Boy replied, "The Lesson with the two Merlins…well, I'm not sure how to describe it, but interesting. Merlin said he'll teach me about Merlin-Magecraft and Spells!" He said, excited to learn something similar to his Father's Magecraft and his Uncles' Magic.
"PFFFFTTTT!" Cagliostro did a spit take, hearing what Harry said. He held his knees, trying to be professional despite hearing what he said. "I-I see…so what did the two teach you?" He asked, worried that those two had corrupted the Boy.
Harry answered the Count of Despair. "Just the Basics, nothing much yet."
Cagliostro nodded, a bit relieved. "I see, well at least you're having fun and learning, master Harrison." The Count said before thinking to himself. 'Maybe I should put someone else in that Class as a mediator…master you are too trusting.'
"In any case, I do believe you have Lunch now, am I correct?" The grey-haired Servant asked, receiving a nod from the young Boy. "Then I won't hold you for long, I was checking up on you. Enjoy your Lunch Period, master Harrison." He said, walking down the Hall from the opposite side of Harry's path.
Harry turns around, watching Cagliostro disappear within the Hall. "That was nice of the Count. Though something about him seems off to me." The young Heir spoke,
Fou nodded, agreeing with Harry on that note. "Fou…"
"Hey there, Pup!" The two heard the voice of Sirius from the back. Harry turns around, seeing his Godfather/Grandfather and Remus heading towards him. "Are you going to grab something to eat? It's near Lunchtime you know."
Harry nodded, answering Sirius's question. "I am, I just finished my Lessons with Leonidas." He said to his Uncles.
"Leonidas, as in the Spartan King of Greece?" Remus asked his Nephew, shocked to hear that even he was a Servant. "Merlin's Beard, you got almost everyone here-"
"Merlin doesn't have a Beard, Uncle Remus," Harry spoke, causing the two Wizards to look at him with shock. "I've met Merlin-er well, two Merlins. One Male and the other Female from another World like ours. They say they were half Incubus and Succubus so I guess the Legends of him were wrong-hmm? Uncle Remus, Uncle Sirius?" He looked at the two Wizards,
The two's faces were stunned, frozen. Upon hearing their Best Friend's Son tell them about Merlin, their jaws were hung. "Oh, I didn't expect you to be here Harry." Merlin walks from behind, smiling at the young Boy. "I thought you'd be on your way to the Mess Hall by now. Oh, I didn't see our Guests outside from Chaldea."
Harry turns around and sees his Mentor walking into the Hall. "Hi Merlin, what are you doing here?" He asked the Grand Caster.
"Oh, I'm just walking about, enjoying the Modern Era," Merlin explains to him before moving on to the Wizards before him. "Ah, you must be Remus Lupin and Sirius Black the Father of my master, a pleasure to meet someone who produced a wonderful Person."
Merlin smiled, placing his hand over his chin. "I must say, you two's little group, the Marauders were such a fun time to watch when you were younger." The white-haired Magus said, "If you would, can you two join me for Lunch? I do like to hear some pointers on how you did all those genius pranks." He said, wanting to expand his book of pranking to try on the rest of Chaldea.
Both Sirius and Remus took a moment to process this before ultimately fainting from shock. The image that was ingrained in Merlin from the Wizarding World was shattered and replaced by this scumbag.
"FOU!" The Beast leaps from Harry's shoulders, slapping the Magus of Flowers in the Head
Ritsuka was sitting in the director's Office, going over some last-minute Documents for Lorelei's Arrival. However, there was an issue they needed to address First, "What do you mean a few Years are Singularity?" He asked the Alchemist,
Sion crosses her arms, speaking to Ritsuka about it. "I'm surprised as well, Ritsuka. Never there's been anything like this before." She said to him,
"A Holy Grail War, a Singularity, a Beast, a Dead Apostle, and it all takes place in Hogwarts," Mashu said, finding this information alarming. "Sion-san's right, nothing like this has ever happened before."
"Holmes?" Ritsuka turns to his Advisor, wondering what his take on this is.
"I'm afraid this situation calls for a careful examination. We have to put the Elements of this Future Singularity together before we act." Holmes advises Ritsuka and the others.
Koyanskaya's eyes rolled, not wanting to beat around the bush. "And what Elements should we get to put everything together, oh great Detective?" The Alter Ego asked.
Holmes looked away before smiling at them.
"Let me guess, now it's not the time," Ritsuka asked as everyone groaned.
Ritsuka sighed, looking up at a certain black-haired Caster in a blue dress who stood idly by at the corner. "Sorry you have to see this, Caster of Germania. I know you're new to Chaldea and all."
The Caster shook her Head, replying to her master. "Not at all, master. If I'm being honest here, I'm quite curious about how you all operate." She said to her master. "My entire Spirit Origins is from a Magical World and one from Fantasy. You all working for the benefit of Humanity is intriguing to me."
"A Magical World and a Fantasy World, so you're part Phantom Spirit, right?" Sion asked, having met many Phantom Spirits with unique traits.
Caster nodded, confirming what kind of Servant she was. "Yes, I wasn't well known throughout the World. Just in a small Community," The black-haired Servant explains, "There was some involvement with some Phantom Spirits in my Pervious Summoning. However, that's not important."
Ritsuka and the others nodded, listening to what Caster of Germania was saying. "Caster, if you have knowledge about the Wizarding World, do you mind sharing with us?" Ritsuka asked his Servant.
The black-haired Caster nodded, "I can for the most part," She said, relaying information to the Chaldean master. "Out of the many Artifacts the Wizarding Community has, one in particular is somewhat Mysterious. We found it and used it to build a School, what happened to it, I don't know." She explains to the Chaldeans,
Holmes looked at the Caster, asking her something. "Tell me, Caster. The Artifact you're talking about, is it a Holy Grail by any chance?"
"Yes, yes it is." Caster confirms what Holmes predicted, "Though the Holy Grails you have in the Grail Vault differ from the one we used. It wasn't Golden it was made out of Stone and blue Flames were spewing from within." She said.
"Since you mentioned Hogwarts and Holy Grail, master. I believe that's also something relating to my Summoning." She said, having a feeling that's the place she needs to be
"Then we got Three pieces of the Puzzle then," Ritsuka said, seeing a part of the picture. "The Holy Grail War in Hogwarts and a Singularity wraps to that Holy Grail you used to build the School there. Alongside you being Summoned for that Grail War," He said fitting the two pieces together.
Mashu looks at her Husband, having more questions. "Then what about the Beast and the Dead Apostle?"
Caster remains silent, Holmes, Koyanskaya, and Sion can tell the Counter Force Servant is hiding something and doesn't want to tell. Holmes cleared his throat, "I believe we have enough to work with regarding the Future Singularity. We can worry about the Dead Apostle when we have more information from the Church."
"What about the Beast, Holmes-san?" Mashu asked the Detective, still worried about a new Beast emerging.
"With the information we got from Caster, I believe I got a good idea of what is going on," Holmes said, standing up and walking over to the Counter Force Servant. "Caster, if you would do me the favor, can you lead me to your assistance in this investigation?" He asked,
Caster nodded, closing her eyes. "Of course, I'll help out however I can." She said to the Ruler, walking with him out of the room to start their investigation.
Ritsuka sighs, having one incomplete task done for now. "I think Holmes and Caster have that handle. Now, Koyanskaya, about Lorelei's arrival…"
"Yes, Fujimaru." Koyanskaya handed a packet of Documents, ready for him to review
