Noelle woke up the next morning to a bright warm sun and soft breeze hitting her face and body.

After a few more moments, they pulled away for air, resting their foreheads against one another.

A wide grin appeared on Galen's face.

A small smile appears on his face.

His smile widened, and he leaned in and placed a small kiss on her forehead.

They laid there a little longer, enjoying the close contact and company.

Until they eventually had to pull away to eat breakfast and start their day. Galen tried not to laugh as he watched Noelle stumble to her feet on unsteady legs.

Only for her to walk over to where his pile of clothes was on the ground, reach down and grab his shirt. Then he watched as she pulled his own shirt over her head and pulled it down over her torso.

He grinned in amusement as his shirt seem to be rather big and baggy on the petite woman. The edges of the shirt went down to mid-thigh on her.

Noelle looked over and saw Galen still laying there on his side with the side of his face resting in his palm as he watched her with a small grin.

She smirked and did a little twirl for him.

"How does it look on me? Rather stylish, is it not?" Noelle joked.

"Not going to lie, it doesn't look half bad on you. Even if it is quite baggy and big on you." Galen replied, the grin still has yet to leave his face.

Her smirk widened, "Really? So, I guess this means I can continue to wear it then?"

"Darling, if you wanted me wearing less clothing, all you had to do was ask." He said, with a wink.

Noelle rolled her eyes but let out a soft chuckle.

"As tempting as it is, I think many would be shocked to see a barely clothed ape riding along with a human woman on a horse." She teased.

Galen just shrugs, "True, though it would be a tad amusing to see the looks on their faces."

Noelle's smirk still has yet to leave her face. Then he saw as she went over and reached for his pants. She picked them up and tried to slide them on.

Only for him to get a good laugh when they fell down, because her waist was much smaller than his, so, they wouldn't stay up. Not only that, but they were clearly too long for her shorter legs.

"I don't think those pants will ever fit you properly." He teased.

"Yeah, I think you're right. I guess I better go grab my own clothes then." She said.

Then Noelle turned around and started walking away.

"Hey, you. I didn't say you can leave here wearing my shirt." Galen said, in a teasing tone.

She arched a dark brow, "Oh, so you want me to walk the beach naked until I get to my clothes. Is that it?"

He gave her a wide grin, "Well, you definitely won't hear any complaints from me if you did do that."

Noelle just looked at him. Then a slow smirk appeared on her face.

She reached for the edges of his shirt and started to very slowly lift it up and over her head.

Galen watched as she slowly pulled his shirt up over her torso, revealing more skin as she went. His eyes darken a little as Noelle's bare torso comes back into view.

Eventually, she pulls it off and is now bare again before him.

"On second thought, put it back on. I'm feeling rather tempted to ravage you again." He says, as he slowly eyes her bare form up and down.

Noelle couldn't help but laugh a little at his remark.

"Sounds like someone is still very horny. Might want to try and keep it reined in a little more, Handsome." She says, with some laughter in her voice.

"But I don't want to." He playfully whined.

That did it, and she really started to laugh.

Galen just grinned and then started to chuckle a little himself as he continued eyeing her. Her laughter really can be contagious at times. Even now, as she stood before him bare.

"As much as I wouldn't mind round two with you, I am pretty hungry." Noelle says, as her laughter dies down.

Galen stood up and approached her.

Noelle couldn't help but let her own gaze rove over his nude form. Her eyes caught sight of his prick as it swayed slightly with each step he took. He noticed her looking, and it made his grin widen.

Then he stopped before her.

Galen reached up and gently brushed a long lock of hair over her shoulder, before cupping her cheek. Then he slowly leaned in and pressed his lips to hers.

Noelle reached up with her free hand that wasn't holding his shirt and caressed his cheek as they shared the sweet kiss.

It only lasted for a few moments before they had to pull back before it became more heated.

"We'll dress then and eat." He told her.

She gave him another small smile as she caressed his cheek.

Then Galen grabbed his pants and shoes, before standing back up and wrapping an arm around her shoulders. They walked out of that little hideaway together and went back to the main shoreline.

Her clothes were still in the same place she left them on the shore.

Noelle started to dress herself. While Galen pulled on his own clothes. Then they walked back together to the small clearing by the waterline.

Galen pointed out to her where he placed their packs, then headed over to them.

The pair sat down on the grass and started pulling out some food for themselves and started eating breakfast. Even in daylight hours, Crescent Cove had a very beautiful view.

"This really was a great stop. Definitely worth the wait." Noelle says, between mouthfuls of food as she sat next to Galen.

"Indeed, I was told by a few others how breathtaking the view could be. It's why, I wanted to surprise you." He admitted.

She turned to him with a smile, "Well, it worked. Was definitely surprised and blown away."

His eyes lit up in amusement, "By the view? Or what came shortly afterwards between us?"

Her cheeks grew warm and turned pink.

"Galen!?" She squeaked.

Her reaction and the way she said his name in a rather high-pitched tone had him laughing.

Noelle then lightly punched his arm.

"Very funny you perv." She said.

His smirk still had yet to leave his face though.

"You still didn't answer my question, Noelle." He teased.

She was silent for a moment as they ate. Her cheeks still pink.

"I want to say both. But then it may give you a swollen ego." Noelle retorted.

He chuckled, "In other words, that was a yes to me greatly satisfying you in a rather picturesque setting."

"Who said that? Could be I was just mainly taken by the view and nothing more." She teased.

Galen arched an eye ridge, "I find that awfully hard to believe."

Noelle pretended to think about it.

"Well, I guess that other half of it wasn't too bad." She joked.

"Really, well, I have plenty of time to work on it, so it's not so bad." He joked back.

She shook her head then leaned into his side. This made him wrap an arm around her shoulders.

"No, you don't have to work on anything. As I said, you were amazing." Noelle reminded him.

He gently rubbed her arm, "As were you."

The pair sat and chatted more as they ate.

The only bad thing about finding these beautiful sights, is that they always had to leave them shortly after finding them. While they only been to a couple of picturesque sights, they never spent more than a night or day at them.

Pretty soon, they both finished up eating their breakfast before it would be time to hit the road once more.

Before they did leave though, just like she did at Bellows Falls, Noelle took out her phone and took a few pics of the scenery. She even got a few pics of Galen and herself while there.

She laughed as he made a few faces at first in the pictures. But then there were some where they both sported smiles.

They stayed only a little longer at the sight, before they decided it was time to go. They packed up all their things and tied them to the side of the horse. Galen then mounted the horse then helped Noelle on behind him.

She sat behind him, then wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her cheek to the back of his right shoulder.

"You ready to go, Love?" Galen asks.

Noelle let out a small sigh and did a quick look around of the area.

"Yeah, I guess so." She said.

He grasped one of her hands in his, giving it a light squeeze and caress. Then he gripped the reins in both hands and flicked them.

Lola started moving forward as Galen lead them back to the path that connected to the clearing of this place. They took their time in doing so, just having her walk back.

They found themselves back on the path and Noelle slowly watched as the clearing slowly started to disappear through the foliage as they drew further away from it and headed back down the narrow dirt path.

It took them a little while, before they hit the main road once more.

So, where we headed now then?" Noelle asks.

"Not sure yet. There are plenty of villages and places up ahead this way though, according to the map." Galen told her.

Meanwhile with Alan & Pete...

The two men have been going back down the roads for a while now. Taking side roads here and there on the way.

Though they have yet to hit any villages for the last few days now. The few they did manage to stumble upon, they have a feeling that Galen and Noelle didn't go to any of these villages.

The disappointment mounted as with each place they did manage upon, no one seems to have seen nor heard of them.

Though they do consider themselves lucky that they still have yet to have any run ins win Urko or his men during this journey. Probably still has to do with the fact that this district is so large and spread out.

"How many villages have we been to now? It's really getting frustrating that no one at any of these villages have seen Galen and Noelle." Pete snapped, in frustration as he and Alan rode along on their horses.

"I know, Pete. But there are still some more villages we have yet to hit as we continue a little further south. Just remember, we did take the wrong route. And it possibly took us in another direction and slightly ahead of them. Let's just continue south and see where we get. Even if we have to cover this entire district, we will still find them at some point." Alan said.

Pete let out a drawn-out sigh, "I hope you're right. We've been at this now for nearly two months. And while we got a good lead in Ansel Village, that was still the only lead we got. There haven't been any more leads since then."

"Still, one lead is better than none. And I still feel it's only a matter of time before we cross paths with them again." Alan said.

Despite making a wrong turn and the leads going cold, Alan has still remained optimistic that they will find Galen and Noelle again.

They traveled on for the next several hours. Only stopping to eat and bathroom breaks before moving on. The men still stuck to the main roads because Alan still firmly believed that that's what Galen and Noelle would do, rather than cut through the woods in a district they knew nothing about.

It must've been mid-evening when they did finally spot another village up ahead.

They picked up the pace and brought their horses to a gallop to get to the village faster. They were hoping that maybe someone here may have saw their friends.

Within another fifteen to twenty minutes, they finally got to the village.

When they arrived, Alan and Pete noticed the village was rather small. Many of the people there stared upon them as they rode into the village on their horses. But no one said anything.

It took a few minutes to realize that Alan and Pete didn't see any apes within the village. Which was rather odd, because usually with each village that they came to, there was usually quite a few apes mixed in with the humans.

But then, none of those villages were nearly as small as this one.

Still, it didn't hurt to ask these people if they have seen their friends.

The pair of men continued looking around as they continued through the tiny village. Some people continued to stare, while some others went about their own business.

At some point, they stopped their horses and dismounted from them.

Alan and Pete continued looking around the area for Galen and Noelle as they walked through. But sadly, they saw no sign of them anywhere within the small village filled with people.

Alan spotted one middle aged man who was shifting his gaze back and forth from the men to what he was doing.

That is when they slowly approached the man.

"Excuse us, Sir. But we are looking for our two friends. By any chance, have you seen a chimp and a human woman come through here? They would've been traveling together." Alan says.

The man studied the pair.

"A chimp and a human woman you say?" The man inquires.

"Yes, a male chimp and human woman. She's rather petite with long dark hair and light eyes. They would've been traveling upon a horse together." Pete added.

The man was silent for a moment. He was a bit cautious, but then these two men weren't apes but humans. And he does recall that the pair that was here before did mention they too were looking for their friends. Which were two human men.

He went to say something, when someone else beat him to it.

"Why do you wish to know? Are you, their friends?" Another voice asked.

Alan and Pete shifted their gaze to see another middle-aged man approach them.

He came to stand before them. While a few others continued looking on from where they were standing. Including some of the children within the village.

"Please, just tell us if you have seen such a pair. We've been looking for them for quite some time now." Alan says.

A few of the villagers exchanged some looks with each other.

"Are you the Galen and Noelle's friends?" Came a tiny voice.

The two men quickly averted their gaze to the source of the voice and saw a little girl no more than nine years of age slowly approach them.

Alan and Pete exchanged a quick look before shifting their attention back to the little girl.

"Yes, they are our friends. You have seen them?" Pete asks her.

The little girl was silent for a moment, before nodding.

"Yes, they were here. Though they left here early yesterday. They told us they were headed west of here to Crescent Cove. After that, probably one of the other villages a little further from there." She says.

Alan and Pete were flooded with relief and excitement upon hearing this news. Yesterday. They were just here at this village yesterday. That means they only missed them by one day.

"You are their friends then. They told us they had two friends, two human men that they got separated from and were looking for." A man stated who came to stand behind the little girl.

Judging by the similarities between the child and the man, they were most likely related, he was possibly the girl's father.

"Yes, we were separated, at the Cairn River. We have been looking for them ever since. They went to this cove you say?" Alan inquires.

The man nodded, "Yes, at least that is where Galen said he was headed with Noelle. They probably reached it by now. Though I'm unsure if they are still there. If they aren't they probably continued west to the nearest settlement. Which would be Corsca Village and beyond that Matner Village.

If you follow this road west out of here, it may take you to them. It's the road they have taken when they left here. And as I said, you're only a day behind. So, if you hurry, you may catch them at either Crescent Cove or one of these other settlements."

"Thank you, very much." Pete said.

The man nodded, "You're welcome. Hope you find them. They are quite amazing, seeing as they saved our children."

Alan and Pete exchanged a look, wondering what he meant by that.

"In what way, did they save them?" Pete asks,

The man then told them how the gorillas that used to preside here before leaving not long ago would often take some of their children away to work in the cavern. They all have lost many children over the years from this horrid arrangement.

He then told the astronauts what Galen and Noelle did to get their children back, all while destroying the cavern and saving them. Then brought their children back to them afterwards.

Pete and Alan can't say they were all that surprised. Seeing as they wouldn't put it past Galen to lend a helping hand to those in need, just like they have.

The man said afterwards how Galen and Noelle stuck around for another day or so in their village before leaving. Though before they did so, the chimp and human woman did request that the villagers here keep a look out for two human men that were looking for them. That were their best friends.

"They're the best. Galen saved my life when I fell into a hole in the cavern and Noelle is very sweet and told me and the other children such wonderful stories." The little girl said.

Alan and Pete could barely hold back the soft smiles upon hearing that. It certainly sounded like their friends to do just that.

"We know, they are amazing. And as we said, they are our best friends. And we miss them. It is why we have been trying hard to look for them when we got separated coming into this district." Alan said to the child.

"Well, it's as we said, they headed west yesterday. The road leading west is pretty straight cut too. With hardly any turns or other roads leading off of it for many miles. If you do hurry, you may just catch up to them at one of the next villages west of here. We wish you good luck in doing so." The girl's father said.

"Again, thank you very much. So, they could be in either Corsca or what was it...Matner Village you say?" Alan inquired.

"Yes, that is correct. Just take that road there." Another man told them, while pointing the way they needed to go.

Alan and Pete followed his outstretched arm and saw the dirt road he was pointing to.

"Again, thank you very much." Alan said.

"You're welcome." One of the men said.

Afterwards, Alan and Pete took off in that direction down that dirt path in pursue of their friends.

They can only hope to catch up to them very soon. This has to be the closest that they have come to them. With that in mind, they set their horses in a gallop as they sped out of the village.

Alan and Pete would not stop until they hit the next nearest settlement to the west of here. Just maybe they will finally catch up and reunite with Galen and Noelle.
