Chapter 49:
The Dark Side of the Aether Foundation
Location: Malie City
"Everyone ready?" I asked as I caught up with Hau and Gladion at the dock. Nanu was waiting on his dusty boat; the thing had clearly not been in use for at least a decade.
"Oh, we're ready alright," Hau told me.
"Well, if you ARE ready then let's go," said Nanu. "I want to get home."
"Alright Mr. Bossy," I said.
"Please take this seriously," Gladion replied. "This is my sister and potentially the world's fate we're talking about…"
"Then let'zz go save them! Roto!"
Ula'ula Island – Aether Paradise
Location: Aether Foundation
Nanu dropped us off and we ran into the large-white building. He then drove away straight afterwards.
"She must be here," I said. "I hope this dream of mine is… I'm not sure. Do I want it to be real?"
"So where do we head?" Hau asked.
We decided to let Gladion lead the way; he knew the building inside and out. "There is a large mansion outside on the other side of the building. Lillie should be there."
"Hey!" came a male voice. It was a member of the Aether Foundation. "You are not supposed to be here!"
"I know!" I told him. "Whatever you're doing, I will put a stop to it!"
"Try m-" He saw Gladion and smiled a bit. "Okay, let's do this!"
Elliott Vs. Aether Foundation Employee
"Dugtrio, go!" the Employee shouted, sending out his golden haired Pokémon.
"And I'm using Hariyama!" I shouted.
"Use Bulldoze!" Dugtrio made the ground shake a bit. In doing so, Hariyama's Speed fell.
"Now use Wake-Up Slap!" Hariyama slapped at Dugtrio. It was down in one.
"Okay then. Let's go Sliggoo!" Next up was a purple Pokémon with a spiral on its back. It looked very slimy.

I decided to recall Hariyama. "I choose Snorlax!" I shouted.
"Use Dragon Breath!" Sliggoo fired blue energy at Snorlax.
"Come back with Body Slam!" Snorlax jumped onto Sliggoo. It was paralyzed!
"Not so fast. Sliggoo, Rain Dance!" Sliggoo suddenly caused a rain cloud to appear above up. It then started raining and the Paralysis was healed.
"It'zz Hydration! Roto! An Ability that healzz Statuzz Condition'zz in the rain!"
"I'm still going to win! Giga Impact!" Snorlax rammed itself into Sliggoo. After that, it was down.
"Tell Lusamine! Now!"
"One down," I said.
"And a lot more left," Gladion told me. "We can't be hanging around here for too long."
Before we continued though, we saw a female Employee. "Intruders!" She then saw Gladion. "Oh, well what do we have here?"
"Enough!" said Hau.

"Go Lumineon!" the Employee shouted, sending out a black and white aquatic Pokémon with large ears.

"Go Decidueye!" responded Hau.
"Whirlpool, go!" A whirlpool appeared below the feet of Decidueye, doing very little damage to it.
"Not good," Gladion said. "Now Decidueye can't escape!"
"Use Leaf Blade!" Decidueye sliced at Lumineon with its wing. It was Super Effective and a Critical Hit. It was swept.
"Don't celebrate yet! Go Stoutland!" Next was a brown-furry Pokémon with a large moustache.

It pays no mind to the cold, thanks to its long warm coat. Stoutland in Alola look a little uncomfortable.

"Use Crunch!" Stoutland chomped down on Decidueye for Super Effective damage. Decidueye's Defense also fell.
"Leaf Blade!" Decidueye slashed with its wing.
"And now Crunch again!" One last sinking of the teeth and Decidueye fainted.
"Clever. Okay Crabrawler, go!" A Fighting Type was a good idea.
"Use Take Down!" Stoutland charged into Crabrawler. It was a strong move, but Stoutland also took recoil damage.
"Now Crabrawler, Reversal!" Crabrawler punched back at Stoutland for Super Effective damage. It was defeated.
"Urgh. Call Faba! Now!"
The three of us (and Rotom Dex) rushed towards the elevator, which hadn't come down yet. It was the triangular one with no walls.
"Come on," I said.
"Calm down, Roto."
"How can I?" I said. "My suspicions were correct about the Aether Foundation. Goodness only knows what that mad blonde President of theirs has on her mind."
The elevator came down with a male Employee on it. "Well well well, it's you kids."
"I've got this one," said Gladion.
Hau Vs. Aether Foundation Employee
"Go Parasect!" the Employee shouted. Out came the zombie mushroom.
"Golbat, go!" shouted Gladion. "Use Air Cutter!" Golbat fired strikes of air at Parasect. It was 4x Super Effective and it was downed in one.
"So, you are strong. Go Drifblim!" Next was a round-purple Pokémon that was airborne.

"Okay Sneasel, go!" Gladion shouted. "Use Ice Shard!" Sneasel fired a chunk of ice at Drifblim.
"Use Shadow Ball!" A shadowy blob was fired at Sneasel that didn't do much damage.
"Now Feint Attack!" Sneasel came up from behind Drifblim, knocking it out. When it fainted, Drifblim exploded and did damage to Sneasel.
"Aftermath! Roto! It cauzzezz damage upon fainting!"
"You think you're so tough! Go Vibrava!" Next was a yellow Pokémon was green wings that were flapping fast.

It vibrates its wings to generate ultrasonic waves, causing its prey to faint. Then it buries the prey alive in the sand to preserve it.

"Ice Shard!" Unsurprisingly, Vibrava fainted in one shot.
"Urgh. Fine, go on ahead. You won't even last five minutes."
Gladion went over to the panel on the elevator and started fiddling about with it. "Before we go rushing in, there is something I need to look at." With that, the elevator went down.
When we got to the bottom, we ran down a corridor. Multiple doors were on either side leading to different laboratories. The ones that interested Gladion though were at the far end. Two doors. Each to a different lab.
"We'll go in this one," I said, looking at a door with a giant letter B on it.
"And I'll go in here," Gladion told me, pointing to the A door.
"I'll keep watch then," Hau replied. "Any Aether Foundation Employees are gonna have a good ol' butt kick! Hau style!"
I nodded and went into the Laboratory.
Inside were multiple books. The main one was open on a table. The main thing that I was drawn to was a picture of Nebby, or I suppose Cosmog.
"What is going on with this thing?" I thought. I turned a page and saw more of the drawings I saw at the Lake of the Sunne. On another page, I saw what looked like a grand Pokémon with its wings open to cover part of the moon. "What is that?" I thought.
"None of your business that's what!"
I looked up to see a very angry Faba. "You!" I shouted. "What is going on here? If you have Lillie, let her go! And Nebby to!"
"Oh, so this knight in shining armour is here to save your little girlfriend? Well, sorry. But your Princess is in another castle!"
"She'zz not here? Roto?"
"What's going o-" Hau said, looking over Faba's shoulder at me. "Sorry, wasn't looking."
"It's fine," I said. "Just keep at it. I got this."
Hau put his thumb up. "Good luck."
"Don't you start celebrating!" Faba said.

"Claydol, set that boy straight!" Faba sent out a black Pokémon that was floating in the air. It had multiple red eyes.

"Misdreavus, I choose you!" I shouted. "Use Shadow Ball!" Misdreavus fired a shadowy blob at Claydol for massive damage.
"Come back with Extrasensory!" Claydol fired a Psychic pulse at Misdreavus who shook it off.
"One more Shadow Ball!" Misdreavus used Shadow Ball once more, knocking out Claydol.
"Not finished yet! Go Bruxish!" Out came… urgh. Still the ugliest thing Game Frea- I mean Arceus has ever come up with.
"Can you keep going?" I asked Misdreavus.
"Crunch it!" Bruxish bit down on Misdreavus, almost knocking it out.
"No!" I shouted. "Okay then, let's try this!" I put my arms out in front, and Misdreavus started getting covered in Z-energy! "Let's show this… thing whose boss with some spooky shenanigans!" I then made a "Boo!" movement with my hands. "Never Ending Nightmare!" Misdrevaus sent out some dark hands that enveloped Bruxish and dragged it down. It then took lots of damage, but not quite enough to finish it off.
"You wasted your Z-move for that? How did Tapu Koko see potential in you? Use Aqua Jet!" Bruxish darted forward with water coming off of it and dealt the final blow to Misdreavus.
"No!" I shouted. "We haven't lost yet! Go Hariyama!" I shouted. "Fake Out!" Hariyama went first and clapped in front of Bruxish, knocking it out.
"Why you… Hypno! Go!" Out came Drowzee's evolved form. It was large and yellow whilst holding a pendulum on a string.

"Come back," I told Hariyama. "Go Incineroar!"
"A Dark Type, aye? Well, I know just how to deal with you! Focus Blast!" Incineroar made a ball of energy between its hands and fired it. But it missed.
"Use this chance Incineroar! Darkest Lariat!" Incineroar span round and hit Hypno for Super Effective damage.
"Hypno, Focus Blast again!" Hypno once again made a ball of energy which this time hit its target big time. Incineroar was finished.
"No!" I shouted. "Toucannon, go!" Hopefully it wouldn't be too bad this time. "Drill Peck!" Toucannon drilled its beak into Hypno.
"Psychic!" Hypno blasted Toucannon with Psychic energy.
"Now use Bullet Seed!" Toucannon fired some seeds at Hypno, finishing it off.
"No! This… will not do!"
"Faba!" Gladion shouted.
"Ahh… Gladion. If it isn't… what are you doing here?"
"To stop you that's what!" I said. "He's on our side!"
"I know what you want Faba…" Gladion said. "And if you bring me to my sister… I…"
"Yes?" he said.
"What'zz going on? Roto?"
Gladion got out a Pokéball. "Go on," Faba said, stroking his green beard. "Hand it over."
Gladion clenched it tightly. "No!" he said. "What am I talking about? I'm going to use it to stop you and the Aether Foundation! Now take me to my sister!"
"Fine," Faba said.
"That wazz eazzy. Roto."
"Maybe too easy," Hau said. "We might be walking into a trap of his."
"The bezzt thing we can do izz play along. Zzt zzt."
Faba took us up the elevator two floors. Then, we went outside to see a large mansion ahead of us.
"This is it alright," said Gladion.
"What's the catch?" I asked Faba. "You planted a time bomb in this thing?"
"No," Faba said. "There is someone I want you to meet."
Faba took us down the corridor to the elevator again.
"Can I… ask…"
Gladion elbowed me. "Play along with it. You do not want to get on-"
"What are you to talking about?" Faba said.
"Nothing," Hau said. "We will continue to shut up until then!"
"Good," Faba said as we stepped on the elevator. He pressed some buttons, and it went up.
Faba then took us outside. There was what looked like a large mansion floating on a surface in the middle of the sea at the end of the path.
"Imagine living here," said Hau. "Okay, what's going on here?!"
"I thought you would know, yo."
We turned around and saw Guzma.
"You!" said Hau. "What are you doing here?"
Guzma walked up to Gladion. "I should be asking that to YOU. Why are you still with us exactly?"
"Because I had no where else to go," Gladion replied. "I had no path, just like you. But now I know my path; I want to find my sister!"
"You haven't answered my question!" Hau shouted. "What are you doing here? I thought you and the Aether Foundation were enemies!"
"A façade yo," replied Guzma.
"Zzt. Facade izz a move that doezz double damage when the uzzer izz inflicted with a-"
"Not now!" the five of us shouted.
"Anyway," Guzma said. "Before I was so rudely interrupted, that Lusamine woman? Yeah. She became our benefactor, and we wanted to do whatever it took to get Nebby back. And when Plumeria told me that YOU were-"
"Enough!" I said. "Guzma, you're going down again!"
"Now hold on," Hau said. "You've already beaten him twice. Can I battle him?"
I nodded. "Hau, that sounds like a great idea!"
Gladion sighed. "Just leave it to someone who you know is capable. Don't turn this into a silly game."
Hau smiled. "Oh I'm serious. Don't you worry." Hau got out a Pokéball. "I just think it's fair that someone else gets a go!"
Guzma laughed. "Taking the reins, are we? Yeah, I'm down for that! Let's do this!"

"Golisopod, go!" Guzma shouted. His strongest Pokémon entered the ring.
"And I choose Noibat!" Hau replied, sending out a purple and black flying Pokémon with large-round ears that looked like speakers.

Fruits are its favourite food. This gourmet carefully picks out just the ripe ones using its sonar.
"Use Sucker Punch!" Golisopod managed to get in a move before Noibat did.
"Use Air Slash!" Noibat then slashed the air, hitting Golisopod. This forced Golisopod back to Guzma with Emergency Exit and forced him to send out Vikavolt. "Now Noibat, Super Fang!" Noibat then bit down on Vikavolt, wiping away half of its HP.
"Vikavokt, Thunderbolt!" Vikavolt shot a bolt of lightning at Noibat, sealing the deal.
"No!" Hau shouted, recalling Noibat. "Okay Decidueye, come on out!" Good choice. Electric Type moves don't do well on Grass Types. "Use Spirit Shackle!" Decidueye fired one of its quills at Vikavolt for a Critical Hit.
"Now use Flash Cannon!" Vikavolt fired a white beam at Decidueye. It dodged just in time.
"Now Pluck!" Decidueye pecked at Vikavolt, finishing it off.
"Urgh. You are pretty good, I will admit yo. Okay Ariados, come out!" Guzma sent out his
"Thanks," Hau told Decidueye, recalling it. "Now Tauros, you're up!" The Normal Type joined the fray. "Use Zen Headbutt!" Tauros' head started glowing and it rammed it into Ariados for lots of damage.
"Leech Life!" Ariados bit Tauros, draining some of its health. "And now Sucker Punch!" Before Tauros could use another move, Ariados punched it.
"Use another Zen Headbutt!" Tauros managed to bash Ariados once more, knocking it out.
"Pinsir, go!" The threatening brown Pokémon was up next. "Use Storm Throw!" Using its pincers, Pinsir picked up Tauros and threw it. The Critical Hit ended Tauros.
"Thanks," Hau said. "Decidueye, come back!" The Ghost Type was back in the game. "Pluck it!" Decidueye gave Pinsir a good peck.
"Now use Brutal Swing!" Pinsir's arms went dark, and it swung them at Decidueye for Super Effective damage.
"Can you still go on?" Decidueye managed to get up, but it had taken a few bruises to. "Pluck again!" Decidueye pecked at Pinsir once more. It almost finished it.
"X-Scissor!" Pinsir swiped at Decidueye in an X formation, knocking it out.
"I'm still standing! Go Raichu!" A Psychic Type was sent out to use Psychic on Pinsir, defeating it.
"Okay Golisopod, go!" The white behemoth entered again. "First Impression!" Golisopod darted forward and punched Raichu in the throat. It was knocked back.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Raichu fired electricity at Golisopod. It managed to shock away the rest of its HP.
"Okay then, let's go Masquerain!" It was Guzma's final Pokémon, and it had a Type disadvantage!
"Thunderbolt again!" Raichu fired another bolt of lightning, not quite fainting Masquerain. But it did paralyze!
"Bug Buzz!" Masquerain flapped its wings, sending out some soundwaves that hurt Raichu. It was finished.
"One Pokémon left. Go Crabrawler!" It was a Fighting Type, so it didn't have the advantage, but I still believed in Hau. He had come so far since our first battle on Melemele Island. "Crabhammer!" Crabrawler brought its pincer down onto Masquerain, defeating it.
"Yo! What?!"
"Impressive," Gladion said. "I take back what I said beforehand. You are something. I apoligise."
"None needed!" Hau said. "Life is full of surprises though, isn't it?"
"The only surprise here is the lack of one with you!" Faba shouted at Guzma. "I should have known you would lose! You're weak! I can see why Tapu Koko saw you that way!"
As he said this, Guzma stepped back a bit. Clearly, that comment hurt him quite a lot. "But… Lusamine took us in. She gave us… a family."
"You're no family of mine!" Faba shouted. "I was hoping that since Team Skull are a bunch of nobodies that you would be of use to us! But it seems that isn't the ca-"
"He's not nothing," I replied.
"Ermm. Roto. What are you doing Elliott?"
I stood in front of Guzma. "What are you doing yo? I thought we were enemies!"
"Okay," I told Faba. "I will admit it. Guzma took the wrong path. But that does NOT mean he is nothing! He has potential! He's not had it easy, okay? He was called a laughing stock. I do not agree with Team Skull's actions, but I do not agree with you either! And Guzma? He has potential! I've always struggled a bit whilst battling, and that was the case with Hau just now to!"
"So," Faba said. "That's how it will be! Move aside!" Faba shoved me out the way and grabbed Guzma by the shirt. "You're fired!" He brought his fist back, ready to punch Guzma…
"Stop it!" Gladion shouted, grabbing Faba's fist.
"Hypno!" Faba shouted. He let go of Guzma and sent out Hypno. "Psychic!" Hypno used its power to force Gladion's grip away and keep him in place.
"Now where were we…"
"Use Crunch!" Suddenly, a Furfrou appeared and bit Hypno to make it lose its focus with Psychic. It was the Ultra Recon Squad!
"Hey!" I said. "Great timing!"
"You know what?" Guzma said. "You're right yo! I'm done being Lusamine's puppet!"
"Now leave," I told Faba.
Faba gritted his teeth. "You will… see me again!" Faba then got out a machine which he used to teleport away. Before he went though, he said this. "I have some… unfinished business to do. But I will return but mark my words; you will need to prepare for trouble!"
With Faba gone, we went to check on Gladion and Guzma.
"Are you alright?" said Phyco. "We came to stop that crazy lady."
I helped Guzma up. "I… can do something for you…"
"You've done enough," I said. "You need to get back to Po Town and-"
"I know where… Lillie is…" he said.
"You do? Roto?!"
Guzma nodded; for the first time when not in a battle, his face was dead seriousness.
"No funny business," I told him.
After what went down, Guzma knew that. "We don't have much time, just follow me."
"As for us," said Captain Phyco. "We need to… be a bit prepared. Just trust us. We'll stay out here."
Guzma took us to the mansion, and we busted down the door. Everything was absolutely white. Waiting there was Lillie.
"Lillie!" Gladion shouted.
Lillie ran up to him, but then passed him to me. She put her arms around me and tearfully said "Thank you for coming." She then looked at Hau. "And thank you to and…" She eyed Guzma. "What is HE doing here?"
"Doesn't matter," Gladion said. "What matters is-"
"Wait," I told Guzma. "You know where she is, and she was right there."
"Still repaying the favour yo," Guzma replied. "Wait, now is not the time. We have more important things to worry about. Where is Lusamine?"
Gladion stood in front of a mirror. He moved it out the way, revealing a corridor. "She must be down there."
"Lillie, you coming?"
"Yes," she said. "But there is something I need to tell you…"
"I know what it is, and it can wait," Gladion said. "What about you Guzma? We could use an extra hand."
Guzma looked back. "I can't. I need to set things right. I have an idea of what Lusamine is doing and if she goes through with it, Alola will be in real danger. I'm heading back to Po Town. I need to tell the Team Skull Grunts to prepare for the worst. It might take a bit of talking, but it seems we're on your side now."
"Wizze choizze. Roto. How will you get back? Zzt zzt."
"Charizard Glide!" I shouted, holding up my Ride Pager. Charizard appeared at that moment. "Take Guzma to Po Town."
"Wait, wha- ahhhh!" Guzma shouted, flying out the door with Charizard holding on to him.
"Anymore interruptions?" Gladion asked. "Good. Let's deal with this."
At the bottom of the stairs was a giant laboratory. Not a nice one like Professor Burnet's however, but one with frozen Pokémon specimens inside. Pikachu, Pyukumuku, Magmar, Slowpoke, Drifloon; it was a horrifying site.
"What izz up with thizz woman? Roto?" Rotom Dex asked.
I noticed that Lillie had stopped in her tracks. She was looking at one of the frozen specimens teary eyed. "No…" she said.
"Lillie?" I asked. "What is-" I could see why she was horrified now. Frozen in one of the glass cylinders, was Nebby. It was in distress. "Oh no…" I said.
Hau and Gladion circled round it, as shocked as I was. "This is not good," Hau said. "We need to get it out!"
"Oh, that won't be necessary!"
Lusamine appeared at the entrance. Her grin was no longer friendly, but sinister.
"You!" I said. "What are you planning to do with these Pokémon? What do you want with Nebby?!"
Lusamine stroked the side of a glass with a Snubbull inside it. "What do you think of my collection? They will be preserved for eternity here."
"That's not happening!" I shouted. "Hariyama, go!" I sent out my Fighting Type. "Break open one of the glass cylinders!" Hariyama punched one of the frozen capsules, but it didn't even cause a dent. "Urgh. These things are sturdy."
Lusamine laughed. "Well so nice of you four to come anyway. Hau, the best friend of this once honoured guest and…" She looked at Lillie and Gladion, then walked up to Nebby's cylinder. "The daughter who stole Cosmog."
"Daughter!? Roto?!"
"You're Lillie and Gladion's mother?!" I shouted.
"As much as it pains me to say it, yes," Gladion responded.
"Why did you two run away?" Lusamine said. She had an ounce of care in her voice, but only a bit. "I gave you food on the table, toys to play with, all that a good mother should. I cared for you."
"A good mother cares for everyone!" Lillie said. "I took Nebby to protect the world from you and your experiments!"
"And I stole Type: Null so that Faba couldn't mould it for his nefarious purposes!" Gladion shouted. "We did it not for our sake, but everyone's!"
"And quite frankly," Lillie said. "Elliott, Hau, Professor Kukui and the others have been more of a family to me than you ever have!"
"Silence!" Lusamine shouted. She got out a remote control. "Time to get down to business." She pushed a button, and a giant claw similar to the ones in arcade prize games came down. It grabbed the cylinder with Nebby in and put it into a machine at the other end of the lab.
"NEBBY!" Lillie cried. Lusamine walked over to the machine and pulled a lever. It started making noises.
"What are you doing?" Hau shouted.
"Fulfilled my destiny!" Lusamine shouted as the machine lit up behind her. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"You let Nebby go this instance!" I said.
"Don't come any closer!" the mad woman threatened. "Because when I'm through with you, you won't even get to see a new Alola region! It's too late!"

"Clefable, go!" shouted Lusamine, sending out a pink Fairy Type with pointy ears.

"Moonblast!" Clefable fired a beam of lunar energy at Snorlax, hitting it.
"Body Slam!" Snorlax jumped onto Clefable.
"Now use Psychic!" Clefable blasted Snorlax with Psychic energy, lowering its Sp. Defense.
"Use another Body Slam!" Snorlax jumped onto Clefable once again.
"Another Moonblast!" Clefable fired more lunar energy at Snorlax, this time hitting quite a bit harder because of the stat drop.
"Now use one more Body Slam!" Snorlax landed on Clefable, knocking it out.
"Urgh. Why you… Lilligant! Go!" Next up was a Grass Type with an orange flower blooming on its head.

"Come back," I told Snorlax. "Incineroar, you're next!" This was one Fire Type that was going to burn this flower to ash.
"Stun Spore!" Lilligant covered Incineroar in orange powder. Incineroar breathed it in and became paralyzed.
"Oh no! Roto!"
"Flamethrower Incineroar!" Incineroar shot fire at Lilligant. Upon impact, Lilligant was burned.
"Now use Petal Dance!" Lilligant danced everywhere, causing a flurry of petals to engulf Incineroar. It wasn't very effective, but still hit relatively hard. Incineroar couldn't move due to paralysis, so another Petal Dance was able to take it out. Following that, Lilligant stopped.
"Shouldn't it be confused?" Hau asked.
"Own Tempo. Roto. It preventzz Lilligant from becoming confuzzed. Luzzamine izz mad, but I have to admit. She knowzz how to battle. Zzt zzt."
"Toucannon, you're up!" I shouted.
"Stun Spore!" More orange powder, more paralysis. Toucannon couldn't even move its turn. "Dazzling Gleam!" Lilligant dazzled Toucannon with a blinding light.
"Try a Drill Peck!" Toucannon was able to drill its beak into Lilligant, knocking it out.
"Urgh. Okay then. Go Milotic!" Lusamine's beautiful, serpentine Pokémon shone in the light.

"Use Ice Beam!" Milotic fired a cold beam at Toucannon, but it missed.
"Bullet Seed!" Toucannon was able to fire some seeds at Milotic, taking its health down to at least half.
"Now use Ice Beam again!" This one was a direct hit. Toucannon was knocked out.
"Thanks," I told Toucannon. "Go Hariyama!" Fighting Type time. "Use Fake Out!" Hariyama clapped in front of Milotic, forcing it to flinch.
"Now use Hydro Pump!" Milotic shot a blast of water at Hariyama. It stood its ground.
"Wake-Up Slap!" Hariyama smacked Milotic in the face.
"Dragon Pulse!" Milotic shot some dragon energy at Hariyama, almost downing it.
"Now use Wake-Up Slap again!" Another slap to Milotic knocked it out.
"I see, this is how you will deal with me! Go Lopunny!" The next Pokémon was brown with yellow-fluffy bits all over it.

"Use Thunder Punch!" Lopunny's fist started sparking at it punched Hariyama, finishing it off.
"Not good!" I shouted. "Misdreavus, come on out!" I felt like I was running short of options.
"Ice Punch!" Lopunny then punched Misdreavus with a cold fist.
"Psybeam!" Misdreavus shot a pink beam at Lopunny.
"Now use Fire Punch!" This was a Critical Hit. Misdreavus was hanging on.
"Psybeam once more!" Misdreavus shot another pink beam. It missed!
"Another Ice Punch!" Lopunny did just that, fainting Misdreavus.
"Thanks," I told it. "Okay Snorlax! Go!" Out came my sleeping giant.
"Use Fire Punch!" Lopunny punched Snorlax with a fiery fist, causing it to become burned.
"Body Slam!" Snorlax jumped onto Lopunny, knocking it out.
"Okay then, you asked for it! Go Bewear!" Finally was a Fighting Type; not Snorlax's best matchup. "Use Hammer Arm!" Snorlax brought its fist down onto Snorlax. It was one burn damage away from fainting.
"Now! Giga Impact!" Snorlax charged into Bewear with all its might, but it didn't knock it out because of the burn, the burn which Snorlax succumbed to.
"Okay, last chance saloon. Go Slowbro!" Psychic Type Vs. a Fighting Type. It was do or die.
"Bewear, Brutal Swing!" Bewear's arms went black, and it hit Slowbro for Super Effective damage. It didn't reach half though.
"Ready Slowbro?" We put our arms out in front. "Let's do this! Lusamine, your obsession will get the better of you! It's time for… SHATTERED PSYCHE!" Using its Psychic power, Slowbro bashed Bewear everywhere around the room before finishing it off with a Psychic blast.
"You… DARE GET IN MY WAY!"
Lusamine was getting VERY angry now.
"Mother!" Lillie shouted. "That's enough!"
"No!" she said. "It's not enough at all! I won't stop unti-"
From behind Lusamine, we saw what looked like an Ultra Wormhole opening up.
"Get out the way!" I shouted.
"No!" Gladion yelled, pulling me back. "It's too dangerous!" Suddenly, the same Ultra Beast that I battled before appeared and dragged Lusamine in.
"MOTHER!" The siblings yelled as the Ultra Wormhole disappeared.
"But… how?!" I shouted, just as Rotom Dex started ringing.
"We have a message from Hala!" Rotom Dex said, showing me the video message. We saw Hala battling two Ultra Beasts, one very red and muscly with a needle-like mouth. The other a graceful white one with long hair and antennas.
"Elliott! What's going on? Two Ultra Wormholes opened up and these… things came out!"
"Gramps!" Hau shouted. "Those are Ultra Beasts! They are from another dimension! Is everything okay?"
We saw sparks appear on the screen. "It should be now!" Hala responded as Tapu Koko came to confront the Ultra Beasts. "What is happening?"
"It's Lusamine!" I said. "She took Nebby and then was sucked into an Ultra Wormhole by an Ultra Beast!"
"I knew there was something about that woman. Don't worry about us, we'll try and keep things under control!" Hala cut off.
"If wormholes have opened on Melemele Island," I said. "Then they must be opening in other places to!" I looked at the machine. "We have to stop it! First, we need to get Nebby out of there!"
Me and Lillie rushed over to the lever. We both pushed it up and the machine stopped. The door opened as well, and the cylinder fell out and the lid fell open. Inside was not Nebby, but something much smaller. It was round and sleeping.
"N-Nebby?" Lillie said. She tried to pick it up, but it was too heavy. "What's happened?"
"Has it died?" Hau asked.
"Not all all." Captain Phycho appeared at that moment. "There is a simple explanation for this. You see, Nebby, or as its actual name is Cosmog, has evolved."
"Evolved?" I asked. "Into what?"
"Cosmoem!" said Zossie.
"Oh," I replied. "So, the energy from that machine did this." I tried picking up, but it wouldn't budge. "How heavy is this thing?"
"It weights just under 1000 KG," Dulce replied. "Don't worry, we have a way of transporting it. Soliera?"
"Okay." Soliera took out a smaller cylinder. She opened it up and a magnetic… thing of sorts brought Cosmoem inside so that it was also floating. "This is yours." She gave it to Lillie.
"But… what do I do with it?" Lillie asked.
"You tell me," Hau replied. "You were the one keeping Nebby safe at all costs. What do you think we should do?"
"We should save my mother," Lillie replied.
"SAVE HER?!" Hau shouted. "But did you see what she did? She opened up a bunch of weird wormholes all around Alola for all we know! And you want to get her BACK?!"
"She's still my mother," Lillie replied. "For all I know… she might be trying to harness the Ultra Beasts. And if she comes back succeeding in that…"
"Good thinking," said Captain Phyco.
"Okay, great." I said. "One problem. How do we get there? We can't just travel through Ultra Space."
"There is a way," Gladion said. "We go to the Altar of the Moone on Poni Island. They say if you play some flutes there, Cosmoem will evolve again. It's evolution has the Ability to open up Ultra Wormholes. As it turns out, we have the Sunne Flute in this very mansion. The Moone Flute? That should be somewhere on Poni Island. But it seems that's what we do next. My best guess is we go to Poni Island tomorrow; for now, we need some rest. You are free to stay over tonight."
"Don't worry!" Suddenly, Wicke came running in. "My goodness what a mess. I've told the Aether Foundation. They are fine with it. Now that they realise what's going on, they have apologised for their actions."
"We will need our rest I think," I said.
"Yeah, I'm beat." Rotom Dex said. "Let's get some rest and head to Poni first thing tomorrow. Night night!"
