"What? A role which is different from the bullies?" Kyoko asked in shock. Her body turned stiff with disbelief, "Sawara-san, can you repeat it? I might have heard you wrong"
Sawara-san smiled cheekily as he said, "Mogami-san, you have got a role that is different from whatever you have played! Director Takahashi offered you this job because of Natsu! but-"
"I accept! I will accept this offer immediately without any objection!" her smile was evident and her eyes couldn't hide the excitement within.
"But Mogami-san, you haven't even read your role yet, I think-" Sawara tried to persuade her into reading her script however Kyoko proudly lifted her head with sparkling eyes and said, "I will play it Sawara-san! you can tell Director Takahashi with confidence!" and she got busy in her dreamland. She took the script and left with her lala land fairies congratulating her with flowers.
Sawara-san sighed but he decided to rely upon this decision to Director Takahashi without further delay. The actress who was supposed to play the part quit because she got a chance to act in Hollywood, hence, this role was in Kyoko's hand now. The director also needed an urgent reply, therefore, Sawara decided to agree and called Director Takahashi.
"Moshi Moshi, yes, This is Sawara speaking from LME... yes, Kyoko has agreed to play the role."
Meanwhile, Kyoko was hoping happily towards the Love Me section when she bumped into Kanae, "MOKO-SANNNNNNN!" She called out loudly as she rushed happily with sparkles around her.
Kanae flinched when she saw Kyoko running with excitement and she couldn't help asking, "What is the matter? Does this involve Tsuruga?"
Kyoko stopped midway when she heard Tsuruga, she couldn't help but blush but soon her face changed as she pretended that it never happened, "Moko-san! I got a new role which is different from all the roles that I have played!" she said
Kanae was surprised but also happy because Kyoko was finally getting out of the villain role, she smiled and asked, "What role is it?"
Kyoko opened her mouth to answer but stopped as she realized that she didn't know what the role was, she looked at the script and opened it.
On the first page read the main cast involved.
EGAWA AKIHITO : TSURUGA REN
YUKIMURA/EGAWA KAORI :
YUKIMURA HARU : TAIRA MURASAME
MATSUSHIMA HITOMI : FUJIMOTO YUKI
and so on.
"Eh? Tsuruga-san is also in the drama and what's with Kaori sharing the same last name with two people?" Kanae peeked into the script and asked.
Kyoko's alarm started to ring hard, her guts screamed that something just didn't seem right at all!
She hesitatingly turned to the next page which stated that this script was of Egawa Kaori, "Egawa Kaori? then am I going to be the sister of Egawa Akihito?" Kyoko asked herself.
Kanae's mouth started to twitch. She looked at the name of the script which read, MOONLIGHT LOVE, and then her eyes widened.
"Kyoko... do you know anything about this role?" Kanae asked
Kyoko turned to Kanae only to find her face serious. She gulped and asked, "Moko-san is something wrong with this script? was I fooled? but Tsuruga-san is also in here so there shouldn't be any issue with this, I-"
"This drama is for adults," Kanae said.
Kyoko looked at her confused, "Adults?" she whispered as her head tilted to the side with a blank expression.
"You didn't ask anything to Sawara-san, did you? Or did you not let Sawara-san finish anything at all?" Kanae asked while hitting the bull's eye.
Kyoko gulped and distracted herself as she read through the script and scene one of the script shocked her.
The scene read:
Sitting in front of her dressing table in her silk robes, she brushed her hair. She felt Akihito kissing her neck and slowly moving to her cheek before finally landing on her lips. She could feel the tension...
Kyoko closed the book immediately and turned red. She looked at Kanae. Kanae knew that Kyoko had finally realized what she had gotten herself into. She was about to speak something when they heard a familiar voice from behind.
"Ah, Mogami-san! and Kotonami-san"
Kyoko turned rock immediately and she didn't turn around. They have confessed their feelings in the elevator, but after reading the script's first few lines, she didn't dare to face Tsuruga-san.
Kanae sighed and turned as she spoke, "Good afternoon, Tsuruga-san and Yashiro-san."
Ren smiled and then his eyes turned to Kyoko who still didn't respond. He found this suspicious. He walked towards her and placed his hand on her shoulder, calling her, "Mogami-san?"
As soon as this happened, Kyoko jumped high and screamed, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" and she ran away.
Ren was shocked and didn't understand what he did wrong. He turned to Yashiro and his manager was as confused as him. He finally decided to turn his eyes to Kanae asking for answers.
Kanae sighed and said, "Kyoko got a role that was different from her usual roles"
Ren nodded in understanding, "and?" he asked suspiciously.
She sighed again as she continued, "Geez, her role is in MOONLIGHT LOVE"
Ren stood stiff and he immediately asked, "Which character?" his eyes hardly hiding his anxiety.
"Egawa Kaori"
