THE CAR
"SAM! Get out of bed before I come over there and drag your ass out to the car" Aurora yelled to her brother before hearing him fall out of bed. She chuckled softly before throwing on a Navy blue crop top, a black leather jacket, and a pair of jean shorts. Aurora is a little above average for girls her age with her breasts being 34DD and her backside a little larger than the rest of the girls in her school. She has long wavy red hair with smokey blue eyes that have tiny silver flakes in them. Her skin is a little tan but not to the point where she looks like an orange or a tomato. Finally, after brushing her hair out and putting it up in a messy bun she jumped down the stairs and met Sam outside where they waited for the bus. Today was the day that she and Sam were going to get their first car, Since their father was a bit of a cheapo they had to share one.
"Mr, Witwicky you up," Mr. Hosney said at the front of the class as Sam walked up. "Sorry I got a lot of stuff" Same mumbled as he started to empty his bag on the table in front of the class. Aurora had to admit at times her brother was a little bit weird and embarrassing but she would cringe and then shake her head a little. Looking next to her she let a little groan out as Trent yelled back a rubber band and launched it at Sam. "Who did that? People responsibility" Mr. Hosney said lifting a finger before going quiet and sitting back in his seat. Aurora blocked out the rest of the class as Sam started to explain the story of their great-great-grandfather. She faintly hears Sam talk about the tools ancient Seaman would have and then the class laughing, Aurora yawning before laying her head down and slowly falling asleep.
Jumping up with drool running down her face as the bell rang, she wiped her face off with the sleeve of her leather jacket before looking at Sam as he was speaking with the teacher. "A B- ?" Sam said looking dead straight at the teacher "You were hawking your great grandfather's crap around my classroom." "No, Kids enjoy- Look, can you do me a favor?" "What?" The teacher groaned. " Can you look out the window for a second? See my father? The guy in the green car" "Yeah" Hosney said looking out the window "Okay, I wanna tell you about a dream. A boy's dream and a man's promise to that boy. He looked me in the eye and said Son, I'm gonna buy you a car. But I want you to bring me 2,000 dollars and three A's. Me and my sister already got $1,000 each and she has three A's. I got two A's Okay? Here's the dream. Your B-" Sam said before making an explosion noise and moving his hands causing Aurora to chuckle. "Dream gone. Kaput. Sir, Just ask yourself 'what would Jesus do?" He asked which then caused Aurora to laugh uncontrollably.
As the two siblings ran to Ron's car, Sam got in the front and I got in the back. I looked out the window as the two of them talked. Finally lifting my head to see us pulling into a Porsche dealership. Sam was making a big fuss about it but I could see through our father which made me start to laugh. "You gotta be kidding me," Sam said still excited "Yeah. I am. You're not getting a Porsche" Ron said laughing which I joined in on. "You think this is funny?" Sam asked looking back to his sister "Yeah I do. You think the man who is making his Son and Daughter share a car would get a Porsche?" She asked, still laughing.
As they pulled into Bobby B's dealership Aurora started to feel a strange electric pulse as they parked the car. She quickly got out as Father and Son fought before she was invisibly pulled towards a Yellow 1977 Chevrolet Camaro with two black stripes down it. She stopped in front of it and slowly reached for the door handle. 'Hello doll' She thought she heard an older voice say but shoved it off. Getting into the car she looked around and smirked, seeing a small disco ball and an air freshener in the shape of a bumblebee with the word 'Bee-och' on it. She chuckled "That's cute," Aurora said quietly 'Thank ya thank ya very much' She heard Elvis's voice come through the Radio. She paused before her attention was moved to the middle of the steering wheel, Rubbing her thumb over it to remove the grim and dust she gasped seeing a small almost robotic-looking face. Quickly pulling her hand back she placed that same hand on her back left shoulder. "That's the mark on my shoulder" She whispered to herself as her mark slowly started to sting before a small almost buzzing noise could be heard seemingly coming from the car. As the stinging slowly started to subside Aurora patted the steering wheel "You alright darling" She heard an old-time country accent come through the radio causing her to nervously smile. "Yeah just a little sting" She whispered under her breath trying to open the door only to see it was locked. "Could you unlock the door?" She asked uncertainty "Oh my god I'm going cra-" She didn't finish before the door unlocked itself. "Oh my god I'm not going crazy" She whispered, grabbing the door handle "Okay it's hot Rory and you're in a black leather jacket. The heat is playing tricks on you. You're gonna go home, drink some water, and stop thinking of cars talking and unlocking themselves." She mumbled walking over to Sam and their Father. I called Sam over and we both looked over the car again before he walked off to talk with Ron and Bobby. After hearing Ron say no because of the price I closed the door with a sigh but as soon as the door shut the one on the other side whipped open and hit the car next to it. "Oh my gosh," I said quietly looking down at the car "Whyyyyy" She groaned before kicking the tire lightly. 'Now I'm gonna look crazy for talking to a car' She thought to herself. "Rory you good?" Sam called as he ran over before she nodded. They started to walk away before she turned back around hearing the radio. 'Greater than man' an old-timey voice said and seconds later a high-pitched noise was heard causing all of the other cars' windows to creak and explode. "FOUR THOUSAND" Bobby called out with a tiny voice crack.
