Chapter 15 recap
Well chapter 15 was busy with Ana surprising everyone with coconut cakes, pies and cookies from their island. Talking to Elliot about her company.

Well all the plans were finalized and then there were some surprises for the doctors families.

Ana and Christian just look at each other. Ana runs over and hugs Ray tight with tears in her eyes.
"Yes daddy and oh my god you don't have to do that but thank you so much. Now does anyone know who is extremely good with finances and computers that we can hire when we get our office up and running?"
"I will have to check with some people and let you know. Hey, how about Paula?"
"Well yes but I offered her a job at my plant in Charleston. Now Paula I know you are good with both so do you want this job instead of the company job? It's up to you. I thought about you but you take your time and decide."
"Let me think about it and when do you plan to have this office open and where?"
"Hopefully within the next month and back home in Myrtle Beach. Your salary would be the same either way you decide. Right now I am doing it with Boo helping me organize everything."
"Can I give you my answer by the time we get to your villa, which will be two or three days right? Because y"all have the security guys coming to meet the docs and their wives, correct?"
"Yes my friend you are right on both counts. Yes thank you, that will be fine."
"Alright I will give you my answer then. That will give me enough time to think about it and I want to talk to El about it too."
"Ok no problem."
Dav walks in.
"Ana, Chris we just got word that your security that will be going with the doctors and their wives are at the hotel with everyone. They arrived late last night."
"Oh wow thank you Dav. Christian can call Troy and them and let them know their team is at the hotel and we are sending the bus to pick them up and bring them all here so we can and they meet each other?"
"Yes love be right back."
"They said they would be ready and they already met their team. They all talked for a few minutes, not too did introduce themselves though. They said they needed to unpack."
"Alright Jason will call the team and let them know that our guys are picking them up in two hours with their doctors and their wives?"
"Yes Ana I will call them and see if they can come here in a few hours."
"Dav will you please go and pick up the doctors and security thank you?"
"Yes ma'am I will make sure the bus is ready and clean. I am going to take Nick with me."
"That is fine and walk over to Chef Ronaldo's and give him this box. Tell him it is a surprise from us."
"Alright will do. That's coconut cake I bet?"
"You would be right and pie and cookies."
"Annie Rose, that man will do anything you ask of him and you know it. If you wanted him to come to Paris and cook for you he would."
They all laugh but it is true.
"Yes granmomma I know and I appreciate not only his cooking but he himself he is a wonderful man."
"Yes Annie he sure is. He thinks the world of you and Chris."
"Alright let's get the kitchen cleaned up. I think I am going to fix finger foods and sandwiches for lunch."
"That sounds good, we will do the kitchen then you can fix what you want and if you need any help just holler."
"Annie, do we have any fruit? I think that would go well with lunch."
"Yes daddy we do."
"Grandpa did everyone sign their insurance forms and everything last night?"
"Yes Chris they did. I took them to the office and squared everything away. I also have the papers for the security team ready to sign."
"Good thank you."
"No problem son. I know you both want to be on top of everything that is going on."
"Yes sir we do and we thank you for taking this on for us. We wouldn't want anyone else."
"I appreciate that and I am happy to do this for you and Annie."
They all sit around and talk about what they want to see in Paris.
Ana walks to the kitchen and Christian follows her.
"How can I help you, my angel?"
"No Boo you go and sit with the men folk. I am going to get Paula to help me today. You just relax, love."
"Are you sure? I want to help."
"Bro come on let's go for a walk?"
"Elliot thank you now go Boo I love you."
He looks back at her and walks over and gives her a kiss.
They walk out of the kitchen.
"Bro you have it bad."
"Yes El I do. I love that little woman so damn much. She means the world to me. Hell she is my world. I was so stupid years ago."
"We are not going there bro that is over and done with. It wasn't your fault."
"Yeah you are right but I think some of it was mine. I could have stopped it. I know I should have just walked away when that bitch first slapped me but being a hormonal teen I didn't."
But you are right it is all over now and we are happily married and so in love with each other. I think I loved her when I first saw her as a little girl. Then I didn't know what love was but man do I know what it is now."
"Yes I know and you both are sickeningly sweet and you give me a toothache watching you two."

"That's good. I heard her say to Ana that she needed to talk to you about this job Ana offered her."
"Yes we talk about everything but this is her decision and whatever she wants to do I will stand by her."

"Well I can say the same thing about you Chris. We never thought it would happen for you."
"Yes I know and I know if Ana hadn't come back into my life almost three years ago now I would still be where I was. Dumb and stupid. How could I be so smart in business but so damn stupid when it came to that bitch and her cronies?"
"Well you got to remember not only her but our so-called mother was feeding you drugs and having you hypnotized. We still don't know how long that went on or when it really started. You know it could have been the first time you went over to the bitches house to work."
"Yeah Ana asked me if she gave me something to eat or drink. She gave me a glass of lemonade and had some sandwiches for me."

"Come on, let's go and greet our guests. I heard the bus pull up a few minutes ago."

They walk back to the house and see everyone is already sitting in the family room talking.
"Hey love you and Elliot are just in time everyone just got here."

"Ok let me introduce myself. I am Christian Trevelyan and I am sure you have already met Ana, my wife."

"Yes Ana that will be good. We have already met Dr. Troy and his wife Allison."
"My name is Laura Bailey and I am a doctor. I am going to Ethiopia. I am sure that is where the last of us are going right?"
"Yes ma'am it is."
"My name is Randall Parker and I am a doctor."
"My name is Connie Baxter and I am a nurse."
"My name is Terrie Johnson and I am a nurse."
"Now you all will be going with Dr. Maxwell Richardson and his wife Naomi who is a nurse and you will be going to Ethiopia with them."
"I am sorry for rushing you all through this but grandpa. I mean Theo Trevelyan our attorney is waiting on you all to sign some insurance papers. We will learn more about you all later during lunch."
"If I could have you at the table to sign where your name is I would appreciate it. I have copies for each of you to take with you."
"Yes sir."
They all found their papers and signed them. They were surprised by what Ana and Christian were doing for them.
They didn't know half of what they were getting in return for doing this work.
"Now that all the business is taken care of for now let's go out on the patio and have lunch. I hope you all like what we have prepared for you."
Ana fixed cucumber sandwiches, Homemade potato salad sandwiches, small club sandwiches on her homemade bread. They had a fruit medley of apple slices, strawberries, blueberries and sliced coconut.
For dessert she fixed a chocolate cake and had some slices of coconut cake left over.
"Ana, that was delicious. I don't know what kind of sauce you put in those cucumber sandwiches. My lord, it was delicious."
"Thank you Laura, it is a secret recipe. I am glad you liked it."
"Now I have a question. Well, we have a question. Are you going to start GEH back up? I know this is just out of the blue but we were all curious. You helped so many people with jobs and bought companies to keep them afloat. You don't have to answer if you don't want to. If I stepped out of line, forgive me for asking."
"No Dr. Parker it is fine. You just caught me off guard is all. Just between us yes I am but I am not going to be running it. My grandfather and Ana's dad will be handling it and hiring people to work there. It will be changed to TEH."
"I would like to bring some of my previous employees back but I have to be careful after being sabotaged like I was. They tried to ruin me and if Ana and her dad hadn't stepped in I would not be where I am today."
"We have a lot going on and right now TEH is on the back burner for the foreseeable future."
"I have heard that you and Ana had a rough time months ago. I and all of us are glad you made it out alive and are doing better."
"Yes we did and if not for my brother Elliot I don't think we would have made it out alive. He led the rescue for our recovery."
"If it wasn't for Perry, Maxwell and Troy we would not be in as good a shape as we are. Did you all know that Perry is the one that did my surgery on my femur and he did Christian's back surgery? Maxwell and Troy saved us both on the operating table."
"No, we had no idea. We were wondering how you all met."
"Well that is how we met and we have kept in touch ever since. It was tough going but they pushed just enough to get us motivated to do what we needed to do instead of laying around in misery from all the pain. Especially Christian with his touch issues. They were all so good to him."
"Well that is high praise doc's."
"Yes it is and we have told them we were just doing our jobs."
"Let me change the subject for a moment."
"Ok love the floor is yours."
"Thank you Boo. We are all planning to leave in a few days going to our villa just outside of Paris. Now there are some people staying at the hotel that we know and the majority are FBI Agents all friends of mine cause I was an FBI Captain until I retired this year."
"Now the question is would you all like to come with us? We are staying there and we have plenty of room and you all could get to know each other better. If not, we will put you in a hotel there."
"I wouldn't mind seeing Paris. It has been some years since I have had the pleasure of visiting Paris. Count me in and yes your home or wherever you want to put me is fine."
"We have three guest houses and plenty of bedrooms so no one will have to share a room unless you want to."
"Sounds good to me."
"Yes I would love to go."
"Fine with me."
They all agreed to stay at the houses and visit Paris.
"Boo called Dav and tell him we do not need Bertelli security. We have all we need right here."
"Yes angel, I was thinking the same thing."
"I love that you call each other nicknames. It is so sweet."
"Thank you ma'am I have called Christian Boo for years. I think when we were little kids."
"Dav said that was fine and if we all want to leave in the morning the jets are ready. Nick and Tony already left in the bus. He thought it would be better for him to stay with all of us."
"Sounds like him. Dav is my personal security I have known him since I was a kid and lived in Atlanta with my dad and spent a lot of time with my granmomma."
"How about you all meeting the rest of our family?"
"Sure we would love too."
Everyone walked into the family room.
"This is my grandmother Saddie Meeks we call her granmomma."
Granmomma smiles at them.
"This is our grandmother Adele Trevelyan we call her gran."
Gran smiles at them.
"This is our grandfather Theo Trevelyan we call him grandpa."
He waves to them.
"This is my father Raymond Steele. I call him daddy and Christian calls him dad or Ray. Most call him Ray."
He waves to them.
"This is my best friend Paula Donovan. We worked together a lot in the FBI and grew up together back in Atlanta."
"Hey y'all."
"This is my brother-in-law Christian's brother Elliot Trevelyan. I am assuming he is changing his name from Grey."
He waves to them.
"You bet your sweet cinnamon rolls I am."
That made everyone laugh.
"Yes when we all get to the villa have her make you all some of her famous cinnamon rolls. They are out of this world.
"She also made a cinnamon roll baby food dessert at her plants."
"Oh wow I'm from Alabama and I have seen your baby food in the grocery stores and other places. From what I have heard you are very good and have a large clientele of customers."
"Yes Terrie I do and I stand behind every jar and bottle that is made in all my plants."
"Ok we got off topic why don't you all sit around and introduce yourselves to everyone. I need you all to excuse me. I have to start supper. I hope you all are staying to eat with us?"
"I would love to, do any of you need to go back to the hotel?"
"No, we are all good."
"You won't be disappointed. Ana is an excellent cook. Well you all know this from earlier and those cakes she made."
"I am sure whatever that little southern belle fixes will be delicious."
"Yes, she is a master in the kitchen."
"Christian I saw that look and I don't mean any disrespect toward Ana. I am from SC and that's the way we talk too."
"None taken Randall. I hear it all the time. Doesn't matter where we are at. People are always complimenting her on her looks, her baby food and her cooking whether they are from the south or not. I have to admit she is a beautiful lady and she is mine."
"Yes she is." They all said.
"I wonder what she is making?"
"Well El if she wanted us to know she would have told us."
"Yes I know but I am always curious where Ana is concerned."
"Would any of you like something to drink? We have sweet ice tea, homemade lemonade. Ana made some strawberry daiquiris if you would like one."
"No, I will take some ice tea."
"I think I will have ice tea."
"Lemonade for all of us."
"Alright I'll be right back."
"Hey you can't go see what she is making."
"Um yes I can, I am her husband."
"Well El, he got you there."
Christian walks into the kitchen and the aroma is mouth watering
"Oh my lord, what are you making?"
"None of your business sweet man of mine. This is a special recipe and you have never had it. What are you doing here?"
"I asked if anyone wanted something to drink. All their glasses were empty."
"Ah I see, so you volunteered to come and get something for everyone."
"You got me love, yes I did. Well, do this."
He grabs her and spins her around and devours her mouth in a deep tongue tangling kiss. He bites her bottom lip and soothes it with his tongue.
"Love you angel, see you in a little while."
"Um yeah ok."
She is still stunned by the kiss and has to hold onto the stove so she doesn't fall. Her legs feel like jelly.
Damn that man.
Christian fixes the drinks and walks out smiling to himself.
I am going to get him back. Damn I have to finish supper.
Ana thinks up a plan to get back at her Boo and it is fail proof. He won't know what hit him.
"Come you all, supper is ready."
"Oh my goodness what is that amazing smell? I can't for the life of me place it."
"Have a seat everyone. If there isn't enough room at the table we set the other table up and the bar."
"Boo I believe it is big enough, remember we can pull the table out and add the center leaf and make it almost twice the size it is."
"Oh angel you are right. Elliot help me pull the table apart so we can add the big leaf?"
"Alright bro let's do it."
They pulled the table apart and added that huge leaf in the center and they had plenty of room for everyone.
"Alright I hope everyone likes steak but I did it a different way. I fixed steak bites with red and golden potatoes. Added my special sauce to make it creamy. We have steamed Broccoli with cheese on the side, a spinach and vegetable salad with tomatoes, cauliflower, baby carrots and baby mushrooms topped with goat cheese and my raspberry wine Vinaigrette dressing. We have macaroni and cheese and for dessert we have lemon meringue pie. We have ice tea, hot tea, coffee, lemonade and water to drink."
"Oh my god woman are you trying to make me fat?"
"Well it is like this sir if you don't want it don't eat it. It will be that much more for everyone else."
"Oh no baby sis I am going to eat it and go workout."
"Yes, that's what I thought."
"Enjoy everyone there is plenty."
All you could hear around the table was moans and more moans. So good and man I am full.
"Anyone ready for dessert?"
"Oh lordy Ana no ma'am none for me. That was delicious, thank you."
"Thank you Beverly, glad you enjoyed it."
They all said it was delicious and thanked her over and over."
"Let's go sit in the family room. We have some more things to go over with all the security."
They all walked into the family room and sat down.
"What else are you doing for us that we know nothing about?"
"Well we are giving you all tents and comfortable bedding while you are away and if you need anything please let us know."
Theo walks over and hands each of them a packet of papers.
They open them and can't believe what they are looking at.
"Oh dear lord we can accept this no, you have to take this back."
"It is already done and dusted as Ana says."
"I will tell you like they told us. We appreciate what you are doing and risking your lives. You never know what you will encounter over there."
"No use in saying take it back. It's not going to happen."
"Well thank you both for everything you are doing for us. I and I am sure I speak for everyone of us that we appreciate what you have done for us. Paying off our houses is no small feat. I know because mine wasn't cheap."
"It is the least we could do for you all. I don't want any of you to have any worries while you are gone."
"Thank you both so very much."
"I think it is time for us to leave and go to the hotel for the night. Ana when are we leaving for Paris?"
"Perry, Dav said in the morning. The jets will be ready for take off. We have plenty of time because the jets are ours. Christian calls Dav to see what time we need to be at the airfield please?"
"Dav hey man what time do we all need to be at the airfield in the morning?"
"Captain said ten o'clock."
"Alright, thank you see you in the morning. Can you call and let everyone at the hotel know what time they need to meet us outside the hotel at nine o'clock?"
"Yes I will."
"We all need to be at the hotel by nine o'clock."
"Will you all be ready by then?"
"Sure we already started packing."
"Alrighty then we will see you all at nine am."
"Goodnight all and it was very nice meeting you all. I can't wait to get to your villa and spend some quality time with everyone."
"Yes, I feel the same way. Goodnight all."
They walked them all to the front door and watched all of them get in the cars and waved goodbye to all."
"Alright El I am all yours let's see those videos?"
"Are you sure you want to see them tonight?"
"Yes El I do. We won't have time tomorrow or the next day."
"OkI'll be right back."
Elliot walks back in with his laptop and sits down at the table and tells Ana and Christian the video is ready.
They walk over and sit down on each side of Elliot.
"Alright, what we are looking at right here is the double reinforced beams for all the ceilings throughout the plant and we have reinforced all the buildings."
'Wow thank you Elliot."
"Now this is the new floor and the stairs are made of fire resistant material that won't burn. The floor above is reinforced all the way across and the beams above this floor are reinforced also. We moved the plastic building away from the chemicals so there won't be any danger around it. We have put dangerous chemicals in big letters with a X on it on the building. There are signs that tell anyone around the chemicals they are a hazard."
"Wow El I am impressed thank you."
"We also reinforced the office and the new offices. We have added more beams for all the plants and also a better escape route if anything were to happen again. We have added exit doors here and here and yes over here at the offices so everyone can get out safely. We also put in updated water sprinklers and fire alarms throughout the plants, not just the one that blew up."
"Elliot, how can I ever thank you for what you and your crews have done for me and Christian?"
"No thanks necessary little lady just take care of yourself and this big lug of a brother for me."
"You got it bro."
She leans over and hugs him tight.
"Now any idea when they will open the doors?"
"Let's call my forman he is waiting for your call. It is not late at home."
"Fine, I'll call him."
"Hello this Ronnie Adams."
"Hey man it's Elliot and I have Ana and Christian here with me. Hope we didn't catch you at a bad time?"
"Oh no bro all is good. Are you on speaker? We can facetime if you want to."
"Yes, let's facetime."
They hook up to the laptop.
"Hey you all, how are you doing? Ms. Ana I have some awesome news for you. We can open your plants back up in a month. Everything is almost complete but I want you and Elliot to come and look at everything and give me your approval of Mr. Christian I am sorry you are welcome too."
"Well thank you Ronnie we will be there. Now you are sure a month will be enough time to finish everything?"
"Yes sir it is almost complete now. We just need you all down here to look it over."
"Very well we will see you in a month. Just give Elliot a date and we will be there. That is wonderful news, thank you."
"Thank you Ronnie and I can't wait to see it. Have a good day and we will talk again before we come back to the states."
"Alright that sounds good and goodnight over there."
"Thank you goodnight."
They end the call with big smiles on their faces.
"Oh Boo, we are going to be open in a month. I am so excited I can hardly wait."
"I know how you feel love."
