"Do you think Ash will be alright today?" Molly asked as she Brock and Casey sat down in their seats for the third round of the Whirl Cup Competition.

"He's been worse, but it will be a long day for him, more so than the other competitions." Brock admitted.

"I can't believe Pikachu attacked him like that though." Casey said.

"Many electric types when they get over charged with excessive electricity they can't tell who are their friends and who aren't." Brock admitted, looking at Pikachu. "He didn't mean any of it, it's likely Pikachu doesn't even remember what he did."

"Piii." Pikachu sighed in sadness.

"It's alright Pikachu, we know you're a good Pokemon where it counts." Molly said, hugging the electric type.

Ash Round 3 Battle 1

"I wonder who my opponent is for this round." Ash said, as he stepped onto the arena.

Misty Round 3 Battle 1

"Ash?!" Misty said in shock, seeing her opponent.

"Well, it had to happen eventually, but just so you know, I don't plan on loosing." Ash said with confidence. "But why do I feel worse than I did yesterday?" Ash wondered to himself.

"Neither do I." Misty responded. "Corsola come on out and use Spike Cannon!"

"Squirtle I choose you!" Ash called out. "Use Skull Bash!"

Squirtle launched forward, pushing through Corsola's attack and striking the rock type with his head.

"Corsola use Bubblebeam!"

"Squirtle use Water Gun!"

Squirtle and Corsola exchanged streams of water, splashing back and forth against one another.

"Corsola use Whirlpool!"

"Squirtle use Withdraw!"

Corsola leapt into the water, swimming around Squirtle, picking up intense levels of speed as Squirtle ducked into his shell.

"Now Squirtle use Hydro Pump!"

With Squirtle's shell spinning around, a powerful stream of water shot out, striking the outer edge of the whirlpool and knocking Corsola off course.

"Corsola switch out, come out Poliwrath! Use Submission!"

"Squirtle use Skull Bash!"

Squirtle launched forwards, striking Poliwrath right before the fighting type grabbed them, tossing them into a platform.

"Squirtle use Hydro Pump!"

"Poliwrath use Body Slam!"

Squirtle sent out a stream of water, pushing back against Poliwrath as he tried to strike Squirtle.

"Poliwrath use Submission!"

"Squirtle keep up the Hydro Pump!"

Squirtle tried his best to push back against Poliwrath only for the fighting type to grab and toss Squirtle away, knocking out the turtle.

"Squirtle return! Come on out Kingler!" Ash called out.

"Now we're talking, Kingler can turn the tide for Ash for sure!" Casey said excitedly.

"Maybe, but you have to remember, Misty is an expert when it comes to the water type, Ash will have a hard time with any of his water types surprising her.

"Kingler use Crabhammer!"

"Poliwrath use Body Slam!"

Poliwrath leapt towards Kingler, getting close as he collided with Kingler's pincer, before being knocked back with ease.

"Poliwrath use Hydro Pump!"

"Kingler use Hyper Beam!"

Kingler's beam of light struck against Poliwrath's stream of water, the two pushing back and forth before Kingler's attack overpowered Poliwrath's pushing the fighting type into the water.

"Kingler after it and use Stomp!" Ash said, a surge of orange going across his eyes causing him to flinch momentarily.

"Poliwrath use Submission!" Misty called out.

Kingler struck Poliwrath, as the fighting type tossed him back above the waves.

"Kingler use Hyper Beam!"

As Poliwrath rose back towards the surface, he was engulfed in light, knocking the fighting type out.

"Poliwrath return, come on out Staryu!" Misty exclaimed, holding out one Pokeball, only for a beam to come out from her bag, sending out Psyduck.

"Hey Brock, why hasn't Misty used Psyduck yet, until now she's used every one of her other water types, and it seemed like she was going for another Pokemon." Molly said looking at the duck Pokemon.

"Psyduck is a bit of a unique situation for a Pokemon." Brock admitted.

"Unique how?" Casey asked.

"You'll see." Brock admitted.

"Kingler use Crabhammer!"

"Psyduck use Water Gun!"

Kingler scuttled forward quickly, striking Psyduck with ease before he could even bring out more than a dribble of water.

"Use Crabhammer again!"

"Psyduck use Scratch!"

Psyduck flailed towards Kingler as the crab struck Psyduck's head.

"Oh no." Brock said in worry.

"What is it?" Molly asked.

"When Psyduck gets a headache, his psychic ability's go into overdrive." Brock admitted.

"Psyduck use Psychic!" Misty exclaimed.

Kingler was lifted into the air with relative ease and tossed around the arena.

"Kingler!" Ash exclaimed, having to catch himself for a moment.

"Wait, look, I'm not sure Ash is alright." Casey said, noticing Ash's movement this time.

"I hope everything is okay." Brock said in concern. "This seems worse than even the electricity would have caused."

"Kingler use Hyper Beam!" Ash called out.

Kingler as being spun about fired a beam of light, breaking some of the pillars in the water, missing Psyduck completely as he was dropped from Psyduck no longer having a headache.

"Kingler, return!" Ash called out, seeming fine right now. "Totodile come on out! Use Slash!"

"Psyduck use Scratch!"

Totodile rushed forward, dancing atop the water before slashing at Psyduck, the duck scratching back at him.

"Totodile use Bite!"

"Psyduck use Confusion!"

Totodile bit down momentarily on Psyduck's tail before being lifted into the air.

"Totodile be ready, and when the time comes use Bite!" Ash called out.

The small pain on Psyduck's end subsided, causing Totodile to drop down on top of the duck's head, biting down hard as Psyduck ran around trying to get it off from the pain.

"Haha! When it comes to his jaws, no one can undo Totodile!" Ash exclaimed.

"Psyduck, knock them off with Psychic!" Misty called out.

Psyduck's eyes glowed blue as Totodile's body stiffened, something trying to lift him by his tail into the air.

"Wait, whats going on?!" Misty said, seeing Psyduck rise up as well.

"I told you, nothing can stop his bite!" Ash said, feeling his breath shorten momentarily.

"No, not that!" Misty said as Totodile began to glow as well.

"Totodile, he's evolving." Molly said in shock.

'Croconaw, the Big Jaw Pokemon, a water type and the evolved form of Totodile. If it loses a fang, a new one grows back in its place. There are always 48 fangs lining its mouth.' Ash's Pokedex said, as Psyduck fell, no longer able to hold up himself and the newly evolved Croconaw.

"Croco croco croco croco NAW!" Croconaw said jovially dancing on top of the waters surface.

"Croconaw use Slash!" Ash called out.

Croconaw ran across the water, waves coming from both sides as he struck Psyduck, sending him flying into a pillar, knocking out the duck.

"Such speed and power, it's, it's incredible." Molly said in shock.

"Psyduck return! Corsola let's finish this! Use Spike Cannon!"

"Croconaw use Hydro Pump!"

Croconaw sent out a blast of water against Corsola's spikes, dismissing them as an attack and striking Corsola.

"Corsola use Ancient Power!"

"Croconaw use Ice Punch!" Ash said, loosing balance momentarily.

Corsola focused her energy, raising several rocks up and out of the water, launching them at Croconaw as the croc punched each one getting closer and closer.

"Ash!" Misty called out, seeing him sinking.

"Croc!" Croconaw exclaimed, swimming towards his trainer.
