In the Digital World of Failsafe, a dying world's last hope is on the run from the cancerous tyrant that rules over all.
However, despite all the help that the final batch of chosen have from the older generations, the Digital World moves on. These are peeks of the Digital World and the ripple effects the newest Generation made.
{Short 1: Say hello! (Between Chapters 2-3)}
(When the 4 new partners get free time together.)
Funbeemon: I see! You three will do nicely as part of my rise to become the Digital Queen and overthrow Ragna Lordmon!
GD: I believe you mean that you get to be a part of MY epic story to become the God Dragon of the Digital World and slay Ragna Lordmon!
(Funbeemon and GD bash heads against each other as electricity clashes between their eyes.)
Bibi: I can't believe they're our teammates. (Sighs.)
Coro: I know! (Excited, sincere, and oblivious.) With a God and a Queen working together, we can save the Digital World! Our team is looking great!
Bibi: (Oh no. Two big egos and a dingus.) I hope we have more teammates. (I don't want to be the only sane one here.)
Coro: Oh, right! Terriermon gave me this! He said it's a tool that will help in the future! (Takes and wears swirling glasses with a fake mustache.)
Bibi: Grff! (Holds in a laugh.) Bwhh! BwaHAHAHA! (Fails as she falls into a laughing fit.)
Funbeemon and GD stop wrestling to look at Bibi.
GD: What's with her?
(While laughing uncontrollably, Bibi knocks a candle and makes it fall, causing a fire.)
Funbeemon: Oh no! Fire! I'll stop it! As my QUEENLY duty!
GD: No, you don't! I'll stop it as my GODLY mission!
(Two get back to fighting as fire spreads in the room while Bibi still laughs and Coro... is happy to be there.)
Everyone: (Enters the room! Sees the madness before them: Bibi laughing, GD and Funbeemon wrestling with each other, and Coro just standing there as the room burns.)
Arshan: What's going on!?
Coro: (Still smiling and wearing the silly glasses while the fire spreads.) We're bonding as a Team!
Kari: (Puts hands together near her mouth as Karatenmon and the others put out the fire.) ... You know... I'm starting to see why these guys are the LAST resort...

{Short 2: Extreme Prejudice. (Possibly between 2-4)}
Digimon: Life has been hard, times have been rough, and hope is little. My kind have been hunted down for as long as the oldest among us could remember. Nay! Twas not only Ragna Lordmon's men that hunted us but even the 'supposed' saviors of the Digital World- the humans! They betrayed our hopes and dreams when they turned their hungry eyes towards us. Yet, if there is one up-side to this unending dry spell, it is the fact that both sides have left us some solace in these trying times. Perhaps, we will have hope-
Bibi: Ah! Mark! There! There's a Cardmon!
Marcus: Shit, he's got a shiny rare card! Get'em Bibi!
Cardmon: NO! Not again! Noooooo-!
(Later.)
Marcus Graves: ... I feel so bad.
Bibi: Yeah.
Marcus: ... I feel especially bad since we got a really good card out of it: War Greymon's Shield.
Bibi: ... We're gonna have to hunt these guys down with extreme prejudice, aren't we?

Stefania: (Points at her) Who the heck are you!?
Rina: I-I just told you who I am, but anyways, Points at her I come from another dimension and-
Stefania: Points at her. Hey, did you just point at me!?

Stefania: Well that's just plain rude! Vergogna!

Short 5: It could have been one day... (After Chapter 5)
Ofanimon and Kari had finished healing Arshan after settling in Ancient Troiamon. "There, he should wake up by tomorrow." Ofanimon finished before reverting back to Gatomon.
Coro still looked sad that Arshan wasn't awake, but Kari and Gatomon said to just let him rest and he'd be fine. The older pair went away as Coro watched over his buddy. Some time passed, and the door slid open.
"Is this where he is?" "The guy who fought Ragna Lordmon!" "I wanna see! I wanna see!" Coro turned to see a bunch of Baby Digimon crowding around the entrance.
"Yep! This ere's the hero that saved Tai and Zero!" Ancient Troiamon's voice told the group of children.
"Whoaaaaa!?" "How'd he do it?" "He doesn't look that special."
Coro suddenly beamed. "Well, I can't wait to tell you all how amazing Arshan is! In fact! I have an idea!"
If only someone sensible was there to stop Coro's idea.
[Later.]
"... Where's Arshan? Where's Coro!?" Gatomon and Kari asked when they returned to an empty room.
"Oh, uhhhh... some tykes wanted to see the fella after hearing the rumors. So I thought about letting them see em. ... I... wasn't expecting Coro's reaction." Ancient Troiamon answered.
Kari had a bad feeling about this. "What reaction?"
[Elsewhere.]
"And that was when I used my Amazing Arshan powers!" Coro, speaking in a high-pitched tone, exclaimed while puppetting Arshan's unconscious body. The rookie 'lifted' his partner by his back and made his arms flail around in front of a very engrossed group of children Digimon. "Arshan Balls attack!"
"Whooooaoaaaaaaaa!" The kids all cheered from Coro's story.
Yoshi, watching all of this with the most concern she could muster, finally found her words. "Coro has a very ballooned view of Arshan."
"I'm surprised we let him keep this up, Yoshi."
Snap!
"Don't worry!" 'Arshan' said. "My arm is totally supposed to bend that-oops!" While moving his body, Coro accidentally lost balance and dropped Arshan.
He really shouldn't have been right next to a flight of stairs.
Yoshi winced as she watched the poor teen ragdoll to the bottom. "... Lalamon, get Kari and Gatomon. Now."
"See! Look how amazing Arshan is!"
Yoshi didn't know how to feel when Coro beamed with pride as the children cheered louder. "Also, we should probably get people to ensure Coro doesn't watch Arshan alone anymore."

Short 6: Bibi's Master(?) Plan part 1 (By AdaviantheBear)
Bibi is writing down notes, with several other full pages in front of her.
Bibi: "Mimi and Stefania could be convinced pretty easily. Yuma definitely wouldn't unless he was delirious in some way. Kari would agree, if only for the laughs…I should get her to help out…."
Unbeknownst to Bibi, Gatomon has been reading over her shoulder for the past 8 minutes.
"...What is this?"
Bibi squawked loudly and tried (failed) to cover up the notes, looking back at Gatomon.
"Oh! Uh…H-how much did you see?"
Gatomon smiled like the cat that caught the canary, "Not much…just all of what you're planning."
Bibi seemed to pale and before she could say anything, Gatomon spoke again, " And I'm willing to help you."
"...What?"
"Yeah, I'll even get Kari in on this little plan of yours. Might be fun."
"Oh...Thanks. Your help is appreciated."
Bibi watched as Gatomon left, turning back to her notes after a minute.
"Hehe, Marcy won't know what hit him."

Short 7: Technicalities. (Chapter 5+)
Terriermon: You know, Coro's Mega Digvolution is known as Apollomon, and it's kinda funny when you think about it.
GD and Funbeemon: What do you mean?
Bibi: Why do I suddenly have a bad feeling?
Terriermon: A long time ago, there used to be this "Pantheon" of Digimon known as the Olympos 12. Back in the day, a majority of Digimon revered them as Gods.
GD: Uh huh...
Terriermon: Their leader was also their King, Jupitermon. And it was common knowledge that he and his wife, Junomon, had twin children gods based on the Moons and Sun, Dianamon... and Apollomon. Meaning that Apollomon was a God Prince until Jupitermon bit the dust.
Funbeemon: ... King? Prince?
Bibi: Why is that feeling getting worse?
Terriermon: Since Ragna Lordmon destroyed them, and since Coro's the only Apollomon in like forever, you could argue that Coro is a GOD and a KING.
(Bibi, Funbeemon, and GD slowly turn their heads over to Coro... who is currently puppeting Arshan's unconscious body in front of some Digimon kids.)
Coro: Arshan Balls attack!
Bibi: ... I don't know how I feel about this knowledge.
(Sadly for Bibi, the other 2 did.)
Funbeemon and GD: CORO! GET OVER HERE!
(Their arguing over who got to be Coro's "Superior" ended up making Arshan fall down another flight of stairs. Gatomon was not amused at healing Arshan again thrice in one day.)

Short 8: Learning is fun!
Arshan: Hmmm...
Coro: What's wrong, Arshan?
Arshan: Well, I know Ragna Lordmon was holding back to capture us alive, but it's hard to believe that he didn't foresee me telling you to prepare your strongest attack and throw it like a baseball.
Tai: (Hears as he passes by.) The thing about fighting Ragna Lordmon is that he can perceive multiple futures at once. Even for someone as fast as him, he has to focus on the most possible forms of attacks from all sides. More than likely, he did see the vision of you doing that. But he also probably saw over a dozen visions of you two doing something else or being caught by him. So even if he can see multiple visions, it helps if they are wildly different from each other so it splits his focus and slows him down even a little. That power isn't naturally his, but he's had a lot of practice with it to the point he understands the basics of how it works. Still, the only way Zero and I bypassed him was basically me thinking of over 20 to 50 different attacks on the fly and getting ready to message them to Zero in a split second.
Arshan: (Amazed.) Whoa! You can do that!?
Tai: (Smirks as he rubs his nose.) I'm not the Zero Tamer for nothing! Besides, I learned to perfect it better the more Zero and I fought Ragna Lordmon... though the problem was that he also seemed to adapt to us...
Coro: You guys are so smart! Here, I bet you can solve this math problem some of the other Digimon gave me! (Shows the 100 Percent Combination a page full of numbers and equations.)
Tai: Wait. What?
(Coro and Arshan look excitedly over Tai and Zero.)
Tai: (Starting to sweat.) Uhhhh, of course I can do it! B-But I don't want to answer for you two. Y-You gotta earn some things by yourself.
Arshan: We already solved it.
Coro: Yeah. It took us a good 30 minutes. But I bet you two can solve it instantly!
(Tai mentally curses as he tries to look again.)
(He doesn't even see numbers in the first part of the equation. He looks to Zero, but the Agumon is currently doing his best impression of the blue-screen of death one would see on computers.)
Tai: Err, oh? What was that? I think I hear Koji calling us. We'll see you two later!" (Grabs Zero and goes away.)
Arshan: ... I guess he was nervous because we put him on the spot.
Coro: Man, our seniors are so cool. I can't wait till we're just as awesome as them!
Kari: (Watching in the distance.) ... Great, my brother has another person who idolizes him... at least he's not hitting on me constantly.
Coro: Oh, right! Arshan, come on. I gotta bring you to some kids who want to see your balls!
Arshan: I'm sorry, what?
Kari: Then again... I find myself pitying Arshan for a completely different reason.
Arshan: (gets told all the situations leading up to what Coro asked of him.) ...IS THAT WHY MY NECK STILL FEELS SORE!?

Tai preparing the army.
Tai: this is the plan, Wargreymon will use a flamethrower. Fire-type Digimon defeats a grass-type Digimon.
Arshan: (crying.) We could have a way to escape.
Marcus: My Digimon still can't control her digivolution.
Kari: That's what you get for using a card and not feelings.
Tai: Just believe in yourself and the heart of the cards.
Xros Wars Army
Gd: Just focus your forces on me, your future God-Dragon.
Funbemon: No! In me, your future queen!
Digimon Random: ... Are they getting married?
Gd and Funbemon: WHAT!? NO!

While the Digital World hosts the last hope of the Digidestined and its citizens, we turn away from the present time and gaze back into the past.
To understand the present—and perhaps the future, we must witness the scars of the past.
Event: Ragna Lordmon VS Susanoomon.
"Ragna Lordmon!" The zenith of the combined Legendary 10 Warriors shone akin to a star, making friend and foe alike shield themselves as they witnessed the being slowly descend to face the Immortal Tyrant.
Ragna Lordmon turned away from Omnimon, making Matt and Tai look up with weak smiles.
"Finally..." Tai smirked. "Omnimon, leave it to Susanoomon!"
"Kick his ass, you guys!" Omnimon's echoing voice yelled as he backed off from the grey knight.
Susanoomon pointed down at the Tyrant. "Your crimes and atrocities across the Digital World have damaged it irreparably, creating empty voids where pieces of the planet should be. Your reign of terror ends now!"
All were silent but turned to the knight with a flaming cape. However, Ragna Lordmon did not respond with words. He let go of his shield, pointed his blade at Susanoomon, and motioned his free hand in a way that said one thing, "The first move goes to you."
The audacity of such a move spurred Susanoomon forward, blitzing towards the flaming knight with a fist coated in electricity and ice. "Bursting Freeze!" At the last second, Ragna Lordmon moved his head out of the way of the punch. As Ragna Lordmon did so, thunder and ice exploded outward, creating a giant glacier that cackled with electricity. But Susanoomon did not let up, his left arm gathering wind and water and pushing his open palm into the chest of the knight.
"Aquos Tempestus!" "Dome Ageis!" A combination of a whirlpool and a tornado erupted between the two. However, Ragna Lordmon's shield created a forcefield that prevented him from being swept from the tides. Yet, it left him unable to avoid the next move as Susanoomon's visor protected the war god's eyes as his entire body glowed in colors each matching all ten elements.
"Elemental Roar!" Both gauntlets of the war god had their eye sockets shine before they opened their maws and unleashed a torrent of elements smashing into the forcefield of Ragna Lordmon. The condensed elements slammed Ragna Lordmon's dome and made him crash into a cliff, covering the distance of a football field in the span of a blink. However, that wasn't the end of Susanoomon's attack as an explosion of ten elements erupted where Ragna Lordmon smashed into.
The attack combined the ten elements in a way that was biblical: a mix of colors and laws lingered as energy and continued to form upward from the explosion of the attack. Many could not help but stare at the overwhelming and awesome power of a Digimon Go—
SLASH.
So perhaps... it was both equally amazing and breathtaking as the symbol of the Digital World's soul was split akin to Moses parting the Red Sea. In the parted gap, Ragna Lordmon walked forward while the very elements moved away from him. He slowly lifted his eyes to Susanoomon, glowing in static.
Inside Susanoomon's mind, six souls could only gape at the sight before them.
"Unbelievable!" "That was one of our biggest hits, and he cut through it!?" "Focus! He's about to counterattack!"
Ragna Lordmon stopped walking. However, what he did next made even Susanoomon flinch in fear: he let go of his shield and used BOTH hands to grip his blade before he kneeled into sword stance.
"Crowning..." Ragna Lordmon's eyes locked on Susanoomon as the edge of his blade gleamed faintly.
"Move!"
If not for the combined shouts of the other Digidestined and Susanoomon's instincts blaring, the Zenith of the 10 Warriors would not have flown in time to dodge the incoming atta—no. "Attack" wasn't even a strong enough word to describe what happened next.
"Slash." Ragna Lordmon said in a whisper. Perhaps it was more accurate to say that he spoke the last word similar to the sound of a final breath. However, despite the softness in his voice, the slash that was unleashed was anything but. With one, empowered slash... he cut even the distant mountains behind Susanoomon.
... And hundreds of Digimon the 4th Generation rallied to fight against Ragna Lordmon's army.
"No!" Susanoomon shouted as he witnessed many of their allies killed within a single moment. But rather than be horrified, he felt justice guide his actions as his body glowed once more.
The very cut mountains behind him froze in place in the air before Susanoomon pointed his hands back down on Ragna Lordmon.
"World Bullet!" As Susanoomon commanded, the Digital World obeyed. Bits of the cut mountain launched themselves at Ragna Lordmon, reaching light speed. But that was not all. Water, wind, trees, flames, and metal ripped from the battlefield and launched themselves at the Immortal Tyrant at the same speeds. Clouds formed as thunder and hail joined their brothers and sisters in attacking Ragna Lordmon from every direction. Light and darkness formed within the gaps of the attacks and raced towards the immortal.
"Zwei Glänze." Ragna Lordmon unleashed a flurry of slashes as pieces of the Digital World itself attempted to undo him. Metal and Earth were cut; Wind and Water were blocked; Lightning and Ice never touched him; Darkness and Light failed to pass shield and blade; and Fire and Wood did nothing.
Still, many watching were in awe that it looked as if the Digital World was fighting back...
...Yet losing.
"Keep it up!" "He's moving so fast!" "Don't give up! Keep up the pressuGAH!?"
Susanoomon flinched when a rock hit him at the same speed he sent it to Ragnal Lordmon. He was confused. Did he accidentally make a rock hit himself? However, that thought went away when he was hit again, this time, by an ice chunk that smashed against his right shoulder—followed by a metal spike that erupted before it could fully pierce through Susanoomon's armor. At that point, Susanoomon dodged more elements coming his way, but could not understand where they were coming from...
"No...!?"
While Susanoomon's attack was still going on, even some of the other Digidestined could only pale at what they were starting to notice: Ragna Lordmon was not pinned down.
Despite all the elements assaulting Ragna Lordmon, he did not stop swinging his blade to defend himself. However, the way he swung his blade caught Tai's attention as he was not destroying all of the incoming attacks. In some intervals, he would block with the flat side of his blade in tandem with tilting his shield so that some of the attacking elements would lose their momentum and lazily go up and fall down in front of Ragna Lordmon...while he was still swinging his blade. With mind-numbing precision Ragna Lordmon was kicking, punching, and even using the flat side of his blade to LAUNCH THE ELEMENTS BACK at Susanoomon while still defending himself from every angle!?
"He's a monster!" "We have to stop the attack!" "No, change tactics! We have to disable his movement instead of just blasting him with all our power!"
Susanoomon stopped one part of the attack: the bits of earth launching themselves at Ragna Lordmon. Instead, with the speed of both electricity and light, Susanoomon went under one of the sliced mountains... and slammed its entire weight down on Ragna Lordmon in less than a second! The force of the shockwave made everyone else brace themselves, but Susanoomon felt the subtle vibration and side-stepped the vertical slash that split the mountain in twain.
But in that instant, there was a single path that gave Susanoomon a clear shot at Ragna Lordmon.
"Now!"
Susanoomon's head symbol lit green. "Ancient Steel!" He pushed forward as an overwhelming magnetic pull froze Ragna Lordmon while sending his shield and sword flying off in the distance in different directions. Susanoomon could already feel the shield and sword attempting to fight back the magnetic push and return to their master, so the combined Digimon unleashed his next attack.
"Ancient Wood!" Susanoomon right arm became overgrown with wood, forming a giant tree trunk that he did not hesitate to smash into Ragna Lordmon and send him hurtling into the sky.
Ragna Lordmon attempted to regain control. However, he found his body unable to respond as he saw plants growing out of his armor and the cracks created from the first attack. Being unable to move, he crashed into an empty canyon and created a large dust cloud. But Susanoomon did not let up as the symbol on his head glowed brown next. "Ancient Earth!"
At the word of the digital god, the canyon itself collapsed into Ragna Lordmon, burying him in a stone the size of a pyramid. However, Susanoomon did not stop the attack as he started to condense and shink the stone smaller and smaller with a motion of his arms.
Slash!
Ragna Lordmon's sword had returned, cutting the stone into millions of pieces and freeing its master from the vines growing from its form. Slowly, his wounds were starting to heal by the mysterious power.
Susanoomon knew he wouldn't let up his assault. "Ancient Water!" Behind him, the ocean rose to the level of a tidal wave and crashed toward the wobbling Ragna Lordmon. But since the sword arrived, the shield followed. It created a barrier bubble before the wave swept the Immortal Tyrant. However, even in a bubble, the pressure and force of the wave forced Ragna Lordmon's bubble to crash into several rock formations not unlike a pinball.
Regaining his balance, Ragna Lordmon forced his bubble out of the water. However, movement near his eye made him back off...only for him to notice it was snowfall? Wait. It was snowing?
Ragna Lordmon's eyes snapped open as he felt a spike of energy coming from a teal-colored spark some distance away from him. "Ancient Ice!" Susanoomon screamed as a wave of cold rushed out, freezing the very sea he summoned against the Immortal Tyrant. The knight with a fire cape used his shield to create another shield, making the ice freeze over it but sparing him from the extreme temperatures. With a flare of flames from his shield, the ice near him melted. But then he saw a slew of ice spikes in the air, in various sizes, aimed for him. Susanoomon pointed forward, and spiked hail rained down on Ragna Lordmon.
Ragna Lordmon grabbed his weapons before kicking off towards the incoming rain of ice. He slashed multiple, shielded against some, flipped over others, and in one instant, tilted slightly to avoid an ice spike the length of a train and used his blade to cut it half as it passed him. As Ragna Lordmon closed the distance, he slowed his pace slightly to allow an ice spike to crash into the path before him. This allowed him to run up the spike before he leapt off the end as a springboard with his blade raised.
Ragna Lordmon slashed down on Susanoomon. "Crowned Slas—" "Ancient Thunder!"
KRACKOOM!
Susanoomon's symbol glowed gold. A burst of electricity cackled around Susanoomon granting him a burst of speed at the last second. He gathered power into his fist and unleashed a punch right into Ragna Lordmon's stomach. The shockwave that followed cracked the frozen sea and sent Ragna Lordmon cometing to the sky. But Susanoomon was not finished. Using the speed of lightning, he caught up to Ragna Lordmon and kicked him down into a different continent from where their fight began.
A flash—then they were on a different continent as Susanoomon dragged Ragnalordmon through the Digital World in his burst of speed.
Another flash. They were in a dark forest. Or at least, it was dark until Susanoomon unleashed a flurry of electric punches and kicks on the dazed Ragna Lordmon that shone brighter than anything the place had seen before.
One more flash. The two Megas were near the 3 moons of the Digital World. Susanoomon gathered energy into his hands as he raised them both up and hammered Ragna Lordmon down into the Digital World.
Ragna Lordmon's form heated up from reentry and caused an explosion in the frozen sea Susanoomon created. Although his wounds were healing, it did not stop Ragna Lordmon from struggling to stand from the pain he obviously felt. However, he noticed the dark clouds and the turbulent winds. Tornados and typhoons gathered around a pink light in the sky...
"Ancient Wind!"
Without proper footing, Ragna Lordmon got caught in the typhoon that appeared around him. His body spun inside the tornado before being thrown...into another tornado. Debris, ice, water, stone, and others cycled the winds with Ragna Lordmon, cutting him up as he constantly felt his body torn and pulled in every direction. When he tried to focus, he called out to his blade and cut the winds. His slash created a powerful vacuum to nullify and stop the gales.
Ragna Lordmon raised his shield.
"Ancient Darkness!"
And by Susanoomon's word, the whole world turned dark around Ragna Lordmon. The only thing Ragna Lordmon could hear was his own breathing. Instead... he used Ancient Wisemon's power to locate potential attacks.
"I have Ancient Wisemon's power too, remember?" A whisper spoke next to Ragna Lordmon's left ear.
"Zwei Glänze!" Ragna Lordmon swiped behind him, cutting the darkness for a second before it quickly reformed. Soon, he felt something tug at his leg and smash him from every which way. After an overwhelming force, Ragna Lordmon felt himself flying towards a...spark?
"Ancient Light!" The spark erupted into a flash bang that made Ragana Lordmon scream as he felt his eyes burn from the intense light. Susanoomon's symbol burned white as he unleashed light-speed slashes and lasers on the blinded Ragna Lordmon. Susanoomon gathered light and darkness in his left fist before smashing Ragna Lordmon back up to the sky.
"Keep it going! Ancient Fire!"
Down below, where the fighting first began, the Digidestined and Ragna Lordmon's army looked around in confusion at where their conqueror and Susanoomon went? They stopped looking when they saw a massive firey explosion in the sky.
Ragna Lordmon crashed back down again. His from cracked, steaming, even melting in some cases. Quickly, the elements restrained him. Earth, Water, and Plants rose to incapacitate and lock away his limbs. Wind, ice, and electricity pinned down his shield while water, light, and darkness bound his blade. Metal's magnetism held them both down with greater force.
"At last," Susanoomon summoned his ZERO-ARMS: Orochi at Ragna Lordmon. "Your rule is at an end. For all your crimes, justice will prevail this day! CELESTIAL BLADE!" From the mighty weapon, a giant blade shot out and stabbed through Ragna Lordmon's core.
The Immortal Tyrant's eyes flashed in static... before his body went limp and started to turn into data.
Susanoomon didn't hesitate as he summoned both Takuya's and Koji's D-Tectors. "Purify!" He swiped both Digvices as the data stream began to flow into—
Susanoomon gasped as he saw two hands reach out and grab the data from flying into the Digivice. Ragna Lordmon's eyes shined back to life as he pulled the data of his own body back towards him.
"You don't know when to quit!" Susanoomon held back his ZERO-ARMS: Orochi and increased the intensity of the blade. However, Susanoomon started to sweat. His visions were starting to split. Although they did great damage to Ragana Lordmon, their stamina was starting to fade. Inside, the 4th Generation were struggling to keep their eyes open as they exerted more and more of Susanoomon's power.
The blade exerted more power, making Ragna Lordmon flinch. However, he refused to let go of his data from leaving his body.
"Fall already! You cannot win! All the lives you've ruined, hurt, and destroyed... we can't let all their sacrifice and pain be for nothing!"
Ragana Lordmon locked eyes with Susanoomon. Even with the visor on, the 4th generation could feel the Immortal Tyrant's eyes boring down on them.
"Pain... Sacrifice...hearing that... hurts more than THIS BLADE!" With a roar, Ragna Lordmon stopped holding on to his data. Instead, he unleashed a punch down on the blade that cut him in half. Static energy raced to the blade and attacked Susanoomon's cannon, causing it to crack and break itself into pieces.
"No!" Susanoomon shouted. His visions now flooding that he missed his chance to stop Ragna Lordmon. But he still had...
Susanoomon found it hard to think when Ragna Lordmon closed the distance and punched him.
"You were right, Susanoomon. I am evil." After the attack, Ragna Lordmon slowly rose to his full height as his body started to reform.
"Takuya... I'm... so... tired..." "Keep it together!"
Susanoomon got back—only to get grabbed by Ragna Lordmon, who slammed his knee into his face, smashing the visor of the War God. "I wish I could have been like you. I wish I could have chosen a better path." His breathing started to calm, meaning the Tyrant was getting his second wind.
The opposite of what was happening to the 4th generation.
"It... hurts!" "We... used so much energy..." "He... lost... how did he...!?"
Ragna Lordmon grabbed Susanoomon's wrist. He yanked him back only to slam his arm into the god's neck and smash him to the ground. "But I cannot. Or rather, I don't want to. Why? Why is a simple memory making me walk such an isolated path?" He walked away, allowing Susanoomon to slowly get back up.
"We need one more push!" "R-Right!" "We can't lose. Not after everyGAHHHH!?"
With Susanoomon weakening, the hold on his weapons faded. Ragna Lordmon summoned his blade to his hand... and ran it through the tired Susanoomon.
"Maybe, this is who I was always meant to be. And for whatever it is worth... I TOO wished you killed me." Ragna Lordmon ripped out his blade from the god of destruction.
With that, everyone watched in horror as... Susanoomon fell to his knees. His form about to break—
Ragna Lordmon acted fast. Plunging his hand into the hole he made in Susanoomon.
"ᛁ ᛁᚾᚢᛟᚲᛖ ᚦᛖ ᚱᚢᛚᛖ ᛟᚠ ᚢᛁᚲᛏᛟᚱᛁ. ᛊᛈᛁᚱᛁᛏᛊ, ᛟᛒᛖᛁ ᛗᛁ ᚹᛟᚱᛞᛊ!"
Alien words left Ragna Lordmon as he ripped Susanoomon in two. In the split second before Ragna Lordmon's energy overwhelmed Susanoomon, Koichi acted fast and helped his brother, Koji. When Ragna Lordmon ripped the being apart, ten giant figures surrounded him: the first Ancient Warriors, all as large as the elements they wielded.
Koji opened his eyes, seeing himself back into his human form and looking up to a VICTORIOUS Ragna Lordmon.
"... You lose, 4th generation." The still-standing Invincible King looked down at Koji, who could only stare in disbelief as tears started to form.
"Koji!" Two voices cried out to the Warrior of Light as he looked back to see Omnimon racing towards them. Before Ragna Lordmon could react, his eyes widened as he turned to the Titan of Metal, who looked to be gathering a dangerous amount of...
"Howling Buster!" The distraction allowed Omnimon to blast Ragna Lordmon right to the exploding Titan of Metal. Allowing Tai and Mat to rescue Koji and order their retreat.
Koji could only cry as he punched the hands of Omnimon... they failed... Ragna Lordmon's rule continued, if not grew stronger at the thought of him defeating even a Digital God.
...
In the future, Koji watched the 7th Generation interact with each other. He couldn't help but feel like he was witnessing his generation have fun like they used to.
"How do you feel?" Tai walked beside the Warrior of Light.
"I'm not good with those." Koji kept his gaze on the newcomers, especially Arshan as he and Coro animatedly "argued" with each other about showing his "balls" to the children. However, "We can't let them fight Ragna Lordmon. He'll destroy them if he wasn't holding back."
"I know," Tai patted Koji's shoulder. "I have this feeling... the only way to beat Ragna Lordmon this time... is to run away from him. Let the Restorers save everyone that was lost. We'll figure more out later."
Koji liked that idea. He wanted to see his friends again. "... Do you think we should risk asking an AncientWisemon vision?"
"I never thought I'd hear you say that," Tai smiled for a second before his tone became serious. "I thought about that. A lot. I don't know. I want him to explain to us how their powers work, why it does work, and so many other things. But false information is more dangerous than none. I don't want the vision to be Ragna Lordmon lying to us."
Koji only gripped his hands tighter.
"Hey, for the first time in a long time, we actually have hope of defeating Ragna Lordmon."
"That's what I'm afraid of," Koji said, looking at Tai. "Hope. I don't think I can handle it failing again."
Tai had to admit. He never thought he'd see the day... that he'd agree with being afraid of Hope.

Okay, here's a "Short" interlude. I was having trouble with the next chapter but then realized that I don't necessarily have to jump to the plot right away. The first half is from the Skits other and I made in our Discord, and I thought it was fun to share them here as well. (Especially when some of them help pad out cannon.)
But I felt bad about just not writing anything, so I realized I could show off a fight between the Big Bad and the Heroes of old! I had a lot of fun imagining that fight, and I hope you all enjoyed it too!
