Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Light Eating Queen and her Knight. Enjoy the 3300-word story. I do not own Destiny; Bungie and a few others do.

She had not walked upon this planet before… Now and always? There was something else to fathom. This world was odd, it was new.

She was unsure of herself, curious even. Yet? She had come here for a reason and burned down many who tried to stop her.

This planet smelt new. She felt sand under her feet, air that did not burn like the old wind.

This planet seemed… At peace, unsure of where it stood, where they were in life. They fought, they had cut out their kingdom here on rock and stone.

She was curious, more so than before. Something had been odd here, a poke in her side that had not calmed down. Yet? She was curious as to how it all had been.

Something drew the young queen forward, curious what this place was… Where she could and should have been able to get her bearings on this planet.

Her sisters could wait… For she would find what she wanted here first before anything occurred.

It was just part of life when it was said and done at the end of the day. Something like this was just odd.

Aurash continued her walk ahead, curious as to HOW this was going on at the time being… Right now? She felt odd.

Then came the clanking, the horrid clanking the princess had known before, she leveled an inhuman glare at a series of Vex Goblins slowly marching towards her.

Aurash growled and charged into their midst. She would crush them, tear them all to ribbons.

And she would savor it.

(With the guardian)

The guardian looked at the mass of marching Vex, metal rows of death itself. He hummed before glancing over at them, he felt… Something, hellish hate wrapped in cold fury.

It was then the source of such violence came, tossing a quartet of the damaged Vex units to the ground.

Whoever it was? They were too much to deal with for now at the end of it all when he had been too much to distract himself.

They had plenty left inside to deal with, they were all too distracting once more at the end.

He could not at all understand when it was said and done… She was 20 feet tall… And she would continue to win the fight against them as she slowly started to tear through them once more when it was something else.

He was not stupid when it came down to it… She was strong enough to crush the robots like scrap metal.

It only reminded him something worse than the Vex existed. He looked over at his ghost before he sighed.

"What is that?" He asked with his gun still firmly in his hands.

He felt cold, a cold which had cut him to the quick. She was far too dangerous for him to fight, that much was true and it was something he could not fathom.

What was she going to deal with for now… He could not have done anything. Yet? He was curious as to how this was going to be dealt with.

She was dangerous, too dangerous within himself to walk away… So? Cautiously? He decided to see if they were at least an enemy of the Vex.

"Hey… Nice fighting skills?" He said as the… The thing turned towards him, a trio of eyes.

He felt like a piece of meat in front of a very hungry dog. She glared at him, looking curious at him as if she was interested in what drove him to make a move like this.

She tossed the broken Goblin aside like a toy she had long since stopped caring about. She was tall, 20 feet tall at least.

Granted? He would continue to fight. He was not stupid, not a brute. They were strong and with powers that seemed to dwarf them all… But he would not have cowered just because he could.

"I sense…. Light." She stated, slowly walking forward on legs as strong as trees. "A song I do not know. You do not know me, do you?" She asked as he paused.

"Cannot say I do… But you are going to leave an impression after killing that many Vex." She heard as he slowly but surely thought to relax for now.

They would continue to think, to act… Something about it all had bothered him… They would continue to relax once more.

He would be unable to distract himself and not be able to relax… Not when he understood who she was said and done. Something about it all had been odd.

"You mean… Me?" He asked, unsure of what to say to a woman strong enough to rip the enemies in half.

He knew she was dangerous. She was strong and curious, she looked at him with interest.

What was she? He felt cold… The only cold thing was the darkness the Vex brought, an evil that hated other evil.

"Yes… Child of light… I am Aurash, queen of the hive." She stated, her body consorting. "You are the first light child I have found… These damned machines assail me even as I come here." She said as she hummed.

Aurash hummed, fists glowing with power. She turned and her body seemed to shift in appearance, shifting in how she looked.

Her body seemed to grow rough stone-like armor over it, pale red. Her body grew wings, her back splitting along the spine to let them molt as thick black membranes grew along them.

Her head grew a helmet-like coat of armor around it, slightly shaped like a crown yet thick horn-like pieces also came.

A skirt-like piece of armor grew from her hips, ancient runes scrawled upon them as the same armor covered her feet and hands in a claw-like armor. Finally? An ancient sword that looked carved from stone appeared on her back.

"Ah… Better." She said, flexing the wings as she turned towards him. "It seems, child of light… That something has drawn me to this planet… And I will be most fascinated by why it does and what it is." Aurash stated as she turned.

The woman was curious, tilting her head to the side. Granted? She was also a 20-foot warrior with a sword capable of carving through stone and metal like it was tinfoil.

Something was amusing about the fact she was curiously so fascinated by Earth. The Cabal, Fallen, and Vex? All of them had their designs on Earth.

What was hers? Did she have any? She looked more confused now than before.

"Kill them." He heard in a monotone voice.

They would not be able to distract themselves now… He hummed as more and more of the machines began to teleport in.

"Ugh, you get rid of SOME Vex? Then they teleport in an entire army." He muttered as he brought his gun to bear.

"I will shed GALLONS of your blood on this planet, annoying machines!" Aurash stated, drawing her sword from her back, and pointing towards the ground.

He frowned, curious at the end of the day. Something within him told him that she might as well be an ally.

"Want some help?" Aurash heard as she glanced over at him.

"If you wish, child of light… But I will still look for what it is that drew me to this world soon enough." Aurash stated before she paused.

She was curious about it all when it came to him. Right now? She felt more like her sibling Xi Ro… But she was curious as to why and how.

This was something worth fighting for when it came to such things. They would not be able to distract him for now at the end of the day.

He would not be able to relax for now as he thought of himself… She was his main concern even surrounded by which to deal with.

He had a lot more pain inside him for now… He had a LOT of anger inside him, anger which he could not for the life of him understand.

He would not be able to relax once more as he did so… Curious about it to the end, curious what would become of them both now. He was not stupid, not at all… Yet? He could not fathom her, fathom anything like her.

She was intoxicating for now, so very damn curious as to it all now… Something like this was too much… And would remain too much now.

It was all beyond what they could and should have dealt with properly. Now at the time being? He focused purely on survival, on ensuring he did not at all die… And that was good enough for him.

It was too much for now to deal with for now… He had people to deal with for now as he cracked his fingers once more.

They would continue to work for now… They would continue to relax. Aurash hummed and then brought her sword down bringing down a goblin as she relaxed.

She brought her sword to bear as she looked at the others. She would continue to relax once more, amused as she paused once more and then thought of what to deal with for now.

She was curious as she thought of what to fight for now… Both were soldiers.

He had a lot more to try and think of it all when it came down to it all had been too much for now. They had a lot of things later and for a good reason now.

Aurash was curious. She had not met beings like these, ones who had not at all understood what was going through their minds, what drove them.

Now? She was curious about who they were. Why they were driven to fight so damn well as 2 of the Goblins collapsed, bullet holes adorning their shells.

The Vex hid behind their guns, hid behind technology, and fear. She carved up each goblin, vanishing them into a scrap with a single wave of her sword. She would not be curious now as the fight demanded her attention.

She was sure they would continue their talk later. The way the man fought told her a great deal already as she gripped a goblin in her hands, crushing it into scrap now.

She spared them not a single shred of mercy as she dropped its broken chassis to the ground and ground it to dust under her heel. Aurash had grown tired of it, tired of dealing with soldiers as inferior.

Now? He would not allow it…. Not even a little when push had come to shove, it had been far too chaotic for now and far beyond the pain for them to deal with.

Not now, not when they could simply ride out the tide of pain and suffering.

They would need only to relax for now at the end of the day… They would continue to relax as both fought off the others.

These Vex? They would die, they continue to die out for now as he paused to relax once more. This was going to be too much for now…

Something else had been done now… Some bell had been rung and there was no turning back the clock now, no undoing what had to be done now… It had been ignited among them now and for a good reason at the end of the day.

They were amused, bound together in fate by things that they could not understand now and good… It had been far beyond the chaos now.

And they were not yet done now at the end of the day… They would not be able to distract themselves from it to the end…

But they did not desire to, did not find any desire to try this now and good.

He would continue to relax as he kept shooting, downing goblin after Goblin. He only laughed at the fact they were slowly falling apart so fast that they could barely even seem to consider losing now.

Something about them both amused them, the guardian because he had found some sort of ally… And her because she had found a friend, an ally, one who had been able to enjoy life.

They were too distracted… And would remain so for now… it was too much now, far too much. They had a lot more to deal with as they fought.

Another of the Minotaurs collapsed into shattered scrap metal as Aurash diced it into pieces… Right now, at the end of the day? A champion of the light and one of the darkness were fighting side by side united in the way they had fought.

Something about it all had been too amusing for them. They fought knowing they were on other terms… They fought like titans.

At a few seconds later? He had been tired, distracted… But the fight ended surely.

He would continue to be amused as the Vex retreated, the plains around them filled with broken bodies of their bodies.

It amused them, amused them very much Now… Something like this only told them that work like this was not yet finished.

Aurash planted her sword into the ground, taking a deep breath as she thought of this place. The light was strong here, it was a place where the light mingled with darkness.

Yet? She was amused, right now? This had to end eventually, sooner or later… But for now? It would be too much for her just to think… It would end now… End for good.

She looked at the guardian… Her newest ally of the young princess turned queen… She did not know exactly how he fit into her story but it was clear there was some spark of interest.

That? And she felt as if she knew them if they were capable of something like remembering her… She was curious about who they were and WHY she felt anxious around him.

Aurash hummed and leaned down upon her knee. Her armor creaked and snapped before righting itself… The thing almost feels more like a living being than armor.

Granted? In some ways? It was alive and itself a living creature which she wore… But so were her people. She glanced at him, curious for now as to WHAT was going on and WHAT he would do but he said nothing.

He was very curious about her as she was about him… It was too odd, far too odd now… But she felt a sort of kinship with him and could not stomach it all.

He had no idea what was occurring, nothing in the way of thoughts when it had come to her.

Both times? He was curious… Both times he looked at her? He expected something he could not quite place being around her… It felt a LOT odder knowing that he was this thrown off now and THIS curious.

"You are a guardian of the light… And I dwell in the dark." Aurash seemed to state, tapping her sword on the ground. "I am curious of you… For reasons I cannot fathom." She stated before he hummed.

Something like this was too much for him and he would continue to relax now.

She would continue to glance at him for a moment as if attempting to deal with it all now…. She would be amused by what he was doing and she would not be able to relax… To think… But she could continue it all now at the end of the day… Something like this was too much.

Both times? Both times she had relaxed… The Hive beckoned her and she would bring her court, her army here… But right now? It was too much now and far too dangerous.

All of it was too curious. Both times she had left her world? She was curious and now? Aurash was curious still, unsure of herself.

They would not be alone… She was not alone now, as a warrior? She would continue to be alone… Both were able to relax around the other.

She sensed trust within him and it was something that they could not at all understand. It hurt a LOT more when she realized something… Something growing within them now and something that would remain.

He glanced at her for a second, only a second before straightening up… He had a lot more left to deal with for now.

He had a lot more to deal with for now… Now and forever would this go on and on… But it would end now… End good… And it would be fun now…

"What is your name?" Aurash asked, resting her hands on her knees as she seemed to glance down at the ground.

They were curious for now… He had a lot more to try and think of now.

As a warrior. He had a lot more on his mind now… He had a lot more to deal with… As a warrior? He had something else to distract them all for now.

"Salis." He stated before he sighed to himself.

This was a fight… A good fight and a big one… Well, good somehow… He had been through hell… And would be through hell again soon. That much was certain… It would remain so for now and for a good reason.

Both of their times? She was curious… And she would not be able to relax… She knew him… But she did not want to… She would remain so for now… It was worth more when both were able to relax for now.

Granted? What she knew was that he was a good soldier, a skilled warrior… They would relax now… It would be too much for now… All of it.

He would not be able to understand it all now. They had plenty left to deal with.

Aurash seemed to be eager to understand who he was. They had a lot more left to deal with… Something like this was all too much… And it would be amazing.

He had nothing left to go on. Both were curious as it came crashing down to the ground.

She looked to the side, Aurash sighed and shook her head. Salis was odd, a factor she was not used to… But it was something she could not deny.

"Come with me… I want to talk." Aurash said, the words feeling alien even to her lips.

Salis looked around, curious about her. He did not know how to feel about her, she was stronger and larger but she was something new. He could not put his finger on WHAT she was doing… It would be ODD but not impossible to attempt to understand her.

"I need to talk to my boss after that," Salis said as Aurash sighed but said nothing.

If needed? She would let it end here. Yet? Part of her was curious now.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! A few things!

This story is set during Destiny but in an AU.

Aurash is NOT going to be a darkness warrior but will use the darkness… Since the Witness seems to be the dark god? They will be a villain.

Aurash is currently the only queen of the Osmium, ruler of the Blood of Oryx and her court. Not God Queen of the Hive. Not yet.

The Vex, Xivu, and Witness will be the main villains.

The next chapter will show more of Salis and Aurash talking, setting up her trip to the Last City and her war with the Vex. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
