After a long plane ride from America to Japan, the young woman, Dawn Sawyer was ready for the next phase of her life. She had some time to learn Japanese before she left and she gave herself a crash course on the plane ride over. She needed it too since she was living there from now on.

Dawn settled into her new home, a modest two-story home. She didn't unpack everything she had, but she had enough for a bed and her laptop. She set up her WiFi when she realized she had enough money to order a pizza. During and after the delivery, Dawn spent most of the night watching videos. These videos showed a blackened arena with a wrestling ring lit up at the center. In that ring, at least two girls were fighting showing their strength and proving their endurance. Each video she watched had a different set of women fighting. These videos were playing matches of the powerful ladies of Berserk, such as the champion known as Misaki Toyoda, the rough and powerful Rio Kazama, the young but promising Moe Fukouka, and even the inspiring pop idol and growing sensation, Sakura Hagiwara.

After seeing enough videos, Dawn realized she was getting tired and decided to get to sleep. She had a plan to do the next day and she didn't want fatigue. She looked up the address and opening hours of Berserk gym and set her alarm to an hour before they open.

Despite the jet lag, Dawn woke up ready to face the day. She got dressed, had breakfast, stuffed her duffle bag with a special set of clothes, and left her home. She followed the directions on her map until she had reached her destination. She made it to the very place she's been trying to come all the way from America to: Berserk.

Dawn stood for a moment to admire the sign. She took a deep breath afterwards and walked on inside. There were a few women around her age already inside. She took a look around and gazed at the empty wrestling ring. She stared in admiration of it as she approached. She was about to climb in when…

"And just what do you think you're doing?"

Dawn stopped and turned to see three women facing her. One was a woman in a red two-piece and long, red hair with a yellow streak. Dawn recognized her as Kurea Komiyama. There was also a fairly cute girl with a white two-piece wit hred outlines. Dawn knew her as Sakura Hagiwara. And the one who stopped her from getting into the ring was the woman in front, a serious-faced girl in a purple two-piece and short, white hair named Rio Kazama.

"Um… I was just stepping in." Dawn answered.

"What's with everyone stepping into the ring whenever they want?" Rio asked exasperated.

"Don't worry about Rio." Kurea said. "She kinda gets peeved when strangers mess around in the ring."

"Well, for your information," Dawn said, "I happen to be a wrestler myself. I have the upmost respect for the ring. In fact, I'm aiming to join Berserk."

Rio scoffed. "Is that right? Tell me, prissy. Who are you?"

"My name's Dawn Sawyer. But when I'm in the ring, I prefer to go by Queen Bee."

"Wow." Rio said while rolling your eyes. "So not just an amateur, but a pretentious one too. Tell you what, bumblebee. Show me what you got in the ring right now. I'll judge you myself."

Dawn took a step closer to Rio ready to answer. "Challenge accepted. Just let me go change into my gear."

"Sure thing. Changing room's that way." Rio said pointing to the locker room door.

Dawn followed where Rio was pointing and entered the locker room door. Sakura looked at her rival.

"Rio, are you sure about this? What if you're wrong about her?"

"Only one way to find out." Rio said.

"What's happening around here?" Misaki asked as she approached the three girls. The Berserk owner, Seiichi Inoba, was right beside her.

"There's this new girl and Rio's challenged her to a sparring session." Kurea said.

"A new girl?" Inoba asked. "Well, this should be interesting."

The locker door opened revealing Dawn Sawyer's Queen Bee outfit. She wore a two-piece, yellow outfit with black horizontal stripes that revealed her athletic body with a bit of muscle. She also wore yellow and black boots and wrist cuffs. She stroked her long, black hair as she entered the ring.

"Ready to go?" Dawn asked.

Rio chuckled as she entered the ring. "This will be good."

"Just out of curiosity," Misaki asked Sakura, "Who's this girl?"

"Well, her name is Dawn Sawyer," Sakura said, "But when she's wrestling, she prefers to go by Queen Bee."

"Queen Bee?" Misaki asked. "Where have I heard that before?"

Queen Bee and Rio stood across from each other with their arms raised ready for the other to make the first move. They met up at the center and grabbed each other's shoulders pushing with their might. It was clear to each other that the other wasn't a pushover. Rio pushed Queen Bee's arms away before taking a few steps back.

"Lesson one, upstart!" Rio taunted. "You gotta show some flair!" She charged forward aiming to drive her knee to Queen Bee's stomach. "Wait. What the…"

Much to Rio's surprise, Queen Bee used both of her arms to block the knee strike. Queen Bee then countered by grabbing Rio's leg, dropping her on her chest, and locking in a kneebar. While Rio was struggling trying to get to the rope, Misaki raised an eyebrow before pulling up her phone. After a few moments, Rio gripped the bottom rope making Queen Bee let go.

Rio returned to her feet and grinned at her sparring opponent. "Okay. I admit, you're better than I thought. But…"

Rio darted toward Queen Bee. Bee tried to hit her with an elbow strike, but Rio saw it coming and ducked underneath. She then wrapped her arms around Queen Bee's body and dropped her in a belly-to-belly suplex. She then flipped Queen Bee onto her stomach and sat on her in a camel clutch hold.

"You're okay with applying submissions, girlie. But how are you with one being applied to you?"

Queen Bee winced and gritted her teeth to endure the stretch. She began to move her body. Rio expected for her to crawl to the ropes and she was prepared to keep her from it. However, much to her surprise, Queen Bee did something else. Instead of crawling forward, she turned herself and Rio around. When the two of them made a 90 degree turn, Queen Bee shot her feet backwards to touch the rope.

"I'll be damned." Rio said surprisingly as she released Queen Bee letting her stand back up. "You're tougher than I thought, girly."

"Thanks. And once again, when I'm wrestling, I want to be called Queen Bee."

"Yeah. I think I'll just call you Bee for now. There's no way I'm acknowledging some stranger as queen."

"Actually, Rio," Misaki said as she entered the ring, "Ms. Sawyer turns out isn't all talk. Check this out."

Misaki passed her phone to Rio. There was a video loaded on the screen. She pressed play and saw a professional wrestling match take place inside a baseball stadium. One woman in a red leotard and short, red hair was propped on top of a table which was propped on top of another table just outside of the ring. Rio looked as she recognized Queen Bee climbing up the top of the corner getting praise from the crowd. She faced her propped opponent before jumping up. She landed an elbow drop that crashed her opponent right through both tables. The crowd roared in excitement while Queen Bee picked her opponent up, threw her into the ring, and pinned her for the win. The video ended leaving Rio and the other girls stunned.

"Hold on." Kurea said looking at the newcomer. "You're already a pro?"

"Technically, I'm an free agent," Dawn answered, "But basically, yeah. That match in Memphis was one of my favorites."

"According to the internet," Misaki explained, "Queen Bee has been making a name for herself on the independent circuit for the past three years in America. I remember reading about her when I was researching foreign wrestlers."

"And now, she's here?" Sakura asked.

"Yeah." Dawn said. "I've come all the way to Japan to join Berserk."

"I admit, I'm a bit honored, Ms. Sawyer," Inoba said, "But why? With your reputation, I'm sure you'd have other offers in America. Instead, you came all the way to Japan just to join us."

"Well, you're right about the offers." Dawn said. "A lot of major organizations have been trying to join their rosters. But I chose to join Berserk."

"Why?" Misaki asked.

"Well, I have two reasons. One: there's someone here in Japan I'd like to settle a score with. And two: I watched Sakura's match with Elena Miyazawa last month and… Well, I can't explain it. It's like something about the passion in that match compelled me to get in on that. I don't know why, but Berserk seems like the best place for me right now."

Inoba gave a delighted grin. "Well, in that case, how's about you follow me to my office so we can work on your contract?"

Dawn nodded before following him. She turned to the other girls and said, "great to join," before she went into the main office.

"Well, this should be interesting." Rio said.

"Yeah." Sakura agreed. "Yeah, it looks like it is. What do you think, Misaki?"

Misaki smiled. "Well, she's already a pro, right? If she's already had some basic training, then maybe…"

Kurea looked at her with a surprised look. "Really? This soon?"

"Why not?" Misaki asked. "We can set it up tomorrow."

After the newest recruit signed her contract, Dawn was told to come back the next day. She then returned home, did her own private workout, and rested ready for her first day at Berserk.

Author's Note: As promised to you Xtrema readers, I have made a Queen Bee/Wanna Be the Strongest in the World fanfic. This will have no relation to my Xtrema story. This is just an AU fic based on Queen Bee's backstory. I will have a handful of Xtrema characters in here such as Kaito Marx, Sayuri Rogue, and maybe a couple of others. For those of you who don't know Queen Bee's story, check it out on Xtrema.

This story was inspired by an RP I've been doing with Foxboy614. In fact, they even made the cover art for this story. Thank you, Foxboy, for your contribution and your permission to use your OCs.

Any and all comments are welcome.
